I haven't read many books by Amy Lane but this is,without any doubt,my favourite.I loved pretty much everything about this book.I mean a story spanning over years is totally my thing and add in the angst,feelings-so many damn feelings, happy and sad,the ever present family connections that were so powerful in this story.I cried so many times reading this and it might sound weird but I LOVE it when a book moves me to tears.
Kelly and Matty are brothers and have been friends with Seth from a young age.Named the String Boys after being chosen to learn the violin. But it's Seth that excels, although he doesn't really see his own talent-he just loves to play.Kelly has loved Seth forever but it's Seth watching Kelly sleeping one day that has him recognizing his love for Kelly.
And it's a powerful love.It has to be.They go through so much but I never doubted their love or that they'd make it.Even when things seemed to crumble in front of them their love never wavered. This is one of the most believable love stories I've read in a long time.
Amy Lane tells their story and their struggles and their lives so beautifully.A massively important part of this story in family.Seth's family of two( him and his father ) and Kelly's family-the Cruz family.I could picture all their lives from the faded, worn furniture in their apartments to the laughter and tears as they grew up.
His boy. His beautiful, faraway boy.
One of my favourite books this year(so far)
Highly Recommended.

This one pushed all my buttons.GL at her best. There's a reason she's one of my favourite Authors and this book is definitely one of my favourites by her.
Friends to lovers is something that's written about so often and this one was pretty near perfect for me.These boys were adorable as friends and super hot as lovers. Ok there was a lot of miscommunication between them but I didn't care,in fact it kind of made the story better for me.
Best friends from a young age,one hot encounter that will have a lasting effect on them as the years go by.Just delicious!!
And of course this being GL she kept it British. So,I might be biased being British myself but I love this stuff. Will being at Leeds Uni made me smile( my daughter's studying there and I'm growing so fond of that city).Always great to read about places you've visited in books.
The sex wasn't gratuitous, perfect placement in the story and these boys had sexual chemistry in spades.

LOVED IT.

In this series you kind of get a play on,
Red riding Hood,
Goldilocks and the three bears(or two bears in this case)
And here it's,
Alice in Wonderland and Cinderella....
Charming and clever.
In the final instalment of this delightful series things should be going well for Asher. He's just celebrated his birthday in the absolute best way but an overheard conversation sees his happiness short lived.
He's lost his mojo with his advice column.I mean a boy who's heart might be breaking a little bit can hardly be expected to give advice on all things love related can he?
But Asher can't stay downbeat for long and he has a new mission.....make the boy of his dreams see how much he cares. And it's just charming as he puts his plan in motion.Helped by a new love problem to solve and a fairy with a glittery wand( that Asher totally wants,by the way!), it seems true love will always find a way....
I know I've totally gushed about how cute Asher is in previous reviews for this series but he just is!! I absolutely loved him. He's all kinds of wonderful.
Fantastic characters,a charming story that you'll get swept up in.I didn't want it to end.
I honestly don't think I could love Asher more.I can't deal with how utterly adorable he is.
In this charming instalment Asher is firmly com4.5

I honestly don't think I could love Asher more.I can't deal with how utterly adorable he is.
In this charming instalment Asher is firmly committed to his column Happily Ever Asher and with two new love problems to be solved he set's about things with his usual enthusiasm. He's still hopeful of finding his Prince( because,hello-true love will happen for him won't it?) and in the meantime he throws himself into his college experience attending his first frat party and he even manages to drag his grumpy roommate,Morgan,along.....
You know when you read a story and it's predictable? You can see the outcome a mile away. This is that story BUT it's perfectly predictable, if that makes sense.I'm sure I had a huge smile on my face reading this.Love is definitely in the air ( not just for Asher I'm hoping) but what makes this utterly delightful is that Asher has no idea....
I was swooning big time when I finished this.I'm,impatiently, waiting for the final instalment.
Because it was magic. Of that, Asher was sure. This feeling that simmered in his bones was threaded in magic and wonder and maybe something else. Maybe something more.(...)

I'm absolutely LOVING this series....
-the writing is so compelling,
-the characters are truly engaging,
-there's angst,happy tears,sad tears,
-this one spans over years( one of my favourite things ),
-I honestly had no idea who Jason would end up with....the Author had me guessing right up until the end,
-and more of Ben and Tim...I can't get enough of these two,
This is fast turning into one of my favourite series.

All the love for Beckett and Zane.
I was swooning big time reading this.I'm sure I've said it before but Nobody does a slow burn romance quite like Anyta Sunday
Move over Theo and Jamie because Beckett and Zane now hold the number one spot of my favourite couples in this series.
Book Four but can be a standalone, although you'd be seriously missing out not reading the other books.
Zane has a dilemma...... His visa is due to expire in a month when he will have to return home to New Zealand.
Ever the optimist,he has the romantic notion that he will meet a girl, sweep her off her feet and live happily ever after and if this solves the visa problem it's an added bonus. But things don't exactly go to plan, especially when he meets Beckett.
Beckett is an English Professor.Hurt by love before he's not looking to go down that road again. But his world is about to be turned upside down when Zane crashes into his life.
You can feel Beckett's ever growing attraction to Zane.Zane, however, remains adorably clueless. In fact he has another mission.....make him and Beckett have the best Bromance ever! He even researches it online(too cute!!)
I found ‘How to Start a Bromance in 13 Steps’ on WikiHow, and this other awesome blog full of questions to deepen our knowledge of each other.”
This book is just delightful from start to finish
The Author wrote in her review that she's terrified to let these boys go
Me too!! I didn't want this to end.
More please!!
Highly Recommended.

A modern take on Jane Austen's classic Sense and SensibilityI'm sure most people know the story but even if you don't you won't want to miss this little gem.
When Elliott Dashwood's father dies, leaving his family with barely enough to get by,they find themselves shunned by the remaining(wealthy) Dashwood family.
Elliott,Marianne, and Greta are the product of Henry's second marriage to their one time Au Pair,Abby.Henry and Abby were reckless,in love but didn't forsee the future and provide for their children...so it falls to Elliott to take care of them.
Elliott Dashwood is sensible, always a quiet boy but happy to watch people. Not one to take risks, preferring to keep his feet firmly planted on the ground....definitely not prone to flights of fancy....until he meets Ned Ferrars who comes to visit after his father's death. The two young men share stolen kisses,a brief encounter with Elliott daring to dream of something more.
The story of Elliott and Ned is not the main focus here,as the title suggests it's about the Dashwoods with all their flaws, quirkiness, optimism, and overall love for each other.
You get wonderful characters in,
-Marianne....a bit of a free spirit, she believes in love and romance and throwing caution to the wind to get it.
-Greta,sarcastic,quirky,wonderfully different from the stereotypical 13 year old you would expect.
The relationship between Elliott and Ned couldn't even be classified as a slow burn, because they don't feature together on page much at all BUT, trust me it's quite special as you get inside Elliott's mind with all his feelings and thoughts.
If you've read Sense and Sensibility you'll know to expect twists and turns before the main characters get their HEA.....and this book was a delightful take on the original.
This was just a joy to read from start to finish and I would highly recommend it.

I'm more than giddy after reading this.I just loved every word from beginning to end and this little gem is why I absolutely LOVE reading and LOVE getting swept away in a book that you simply can't put down and don't want it to end.
The writing,characters,story telling .....just brilliant.
A modern twist on the legendary story of King Author and Merlin....yes,I was sceptical because this wouldn't normally be my go to thing but it was brilliantly done with truly engaging characters.
-the setting was perfect.St Andrews,a quaint town in Scotland that I've visited so many times and absolutely love,
-the banter was just delicious and I adored Merlin's inner ramblings and turmoil as he battled his attraction to Arthur,
-the sexual tension was off the charts....and once Merlin and Arthur got going it was super HOT,
-some fantastic supporting characters that fit into the story perfectly,
-magic and mayhem and a sarcastic,no nonsense Dragon who developed a thing for Justin Bieber's music and demanded an ipod.....priceless!!
Without doubt, one of the most enjoyable books I've read this year that I'm sure I'll read over and over.
Favorite quotes:
"Sign me up," he said, firmly, grinning at a bald girl with enough silver in her various cavities to sink a small ship. "I'm a card-carrying friend of Dorothy, and I'm gagging for a shag."
There had been the one, horribly embarrassing morning where his mother walked into his bedroom with a pile of ironed shirts and not-ironed pants, found her son sitting on top of a Polish plumber called Kris(...)
Arthur shrugged. "The GaySoc pin was a big clue," he said. "Also, your phone has a Village People tune as its ring tone. I have amazing detective skills."(...)

Rafe is 19,a bit smothered by his well meaning over protective parents. On his way to England for a 3 month study period,he's got one thing on his mind,
He thought about sex. Sex with hot British guys with hot British accents.
And so begins,
Operation: Slut.
What he hadn't banked on was having a sexy British flatmate.....
Rafe is a bit like an exuberant puppy. He's fascinated by all things British and he's determined to make his stay in a foreign country a truly memorable one.He did come across as slightly younger than 19 in some ways but that kind of added to his charm for me.I thought he was adorable.
Eamonn is 20,hurt in love before, the last thing he wants is to get involved with someone who will be leaving in a few months. However,he can't help wanting to give Rafe the whole British experience and the more time they spend together,it's pretty inevitable things will start to get down and dirty between them.
Add into the mix a couple of likeable flatmates,a pretty despicable ex and you've got a great college romance, that really worked for me.
Well, this is just adorable! This Author is one of the best at creating the cutest couples, mixed with 4.5 Stars.

Well, this is just adorable! This Author is one of the best at creating the cutest couples, mixed with a bit of sexiness, sassiness and a whole lot of delicious banter.
Percy was 17 when he was kicked out of home and went to live with Aunt Abby in the Cape Cod cul-de-sac,a charming place full of quirky residents. From the moment he met Cal their verbal sparring started.
Now both men are back for family reasons and the war of words between them certainly shows so sign of letting up.
This was a joy to read from start to finish,
-Percy and Cal are nothing short of adorable together.Cal has the whole sexy nerd thing going on while Percy has the sarcasm down to a fine art.
-the sexual tension was delicious, from the lingering looks to the hidden meaning behind their words.Yes,it's a slow burn physically between them but it was just perfect.
-hanging out with Cal's family who I loved.
-the wonderful neighbours who all look out for each other.
-Theo and Jamie's appearance was the icing on the cake.
Another great book in this super sexy series but can be read as a standalone.

Ben and Sid were briefly introduced in the previous book.
Ben is transgender and has gone through his transition. He returns back to the shared house in the New Year determined to try and be more outgoing and interact with people more.
Sid is Jude's ex hook up from the previous book. He's just recently broken up with someone so when he gets an invitation from Jude inviting him on a night out with his friends he thinks why not?
Sid and Ben are drawn to each other, not least because everyone else in part of a couple. They get on well and Sid finds himself getting more and more attracted to Ben,so much so that he doesn't hold back.
"So,what do you say? Want to try having sober sex with me?"
Poor Ben is like a rabbit in the headlights...he's still trying to adjust emotionally and still has insecurities about his body.
However, they start to text each other and develop a friendship but when feelings get involved Ben knows he has to tell Sid about being trans.I loved how Sid reacted....all he wanted was to make Ben at ease. And my heart ached for Ben,at times,as he battled his inner demons.
I've read a few transgender books but this is the first one where I came to fully appreciate that people have choices, things aren't straight forward and that Ben's decision regarding his own personal transition was right for him.
The relationship between them developed at exactly the right pace and they are just perfect together.
I just have to mention a new character that was introduced.Johnny....how I loved that dirty boy, with his messy blonde hair and love of eye liner,I'm keeping everything crossed that it's his story next.
Definitely a recommended read.
