And I absolutely went through each of these emotions over and over again. Miss Reisz just leaves a mark with each of her stories, and The Rose is another great book by the master storyteller.
With the substantial amount of eroticism, romance, fantasy, and likable characters, the author keeps you hooked from the very beginning. Humor, character arc and strong background research for the theme is her forte and she is known for writing best sex scenes ever but blending a great deal of Greek mythology made it so magnificent. Every detail, every emotion felt real. How can she keep excelling in her brilliant storytelling ability? She never ceases to amaze me with her talent!
However, and I hate for saying this, as the story progressed my traitor mind kept nagging about the fantasy playing out to be very similar to that in The Red. I felt the fantasy part just overshadowed the rest of the story, but I do believe it was intended that way to keep up with the theme of The Red (since it happens in the same universe), a story build around their fantasy. Nevertheless, the climax and ending more than made up for what was lacking. All in all, I was damn happy with this book, it was entertaining and knowledgeable.
I adore Tiffany Reisz for she never shies away from breaking the main lead stereotype. She makes them whatever the eff she wants them to be and stays true to her characters. She deserves nothing but respect for the staggering amount of research she has to undertake for this topic, her effort in breathing life into the story really shows. Kudos to her!!

Sure, there's a reason/trauma for why she turned out to be so detached and cold but her actions were stupid and downright vindictive. However, the second half felt reasonable and content. And I finally made peace with Penelope (our heroine) for being compassionate towards the end.

My heart is all warm and gooey after reading this lovely book!
[image] To be honest I have never read from Darcy Burke before nor was she familiar to me. It so happened that I was in a mood for a historical romance when I stumbled across this gem on Netgalley. The blurb literally piqued my curiosity, I immediately knew I had to read this book. To my utter surprise I ended up loving everything about this book, the story, those characters, and the heart-warming romance was exactly what I needed right now.
The Duke of Ruin is a story of a widower who is accused of murdering his wife and a spinster who is seeking a husband desperately so as to get away from the clutches of her abusive father.
Simon Hastings, is a social outcast who constantly lives in guilt. It’s been two years since he lost his wife and unborn child, not a day goes by when he doesn’t blame himself for their death. He has no intention of taking another wife, but a playful kiss with a stranger awakens the deeply buried desire to be touched and loved by someone again.
Diana Kingman was groomed to be a perfect duchess, growing up in a strict household made her detached and guarded. She was betrothed to Duke of Kilve and was certain this marriage would make her father proud of her and bring him a lot of respect in society. However, Duke of Kilve is in love with another woman and pursue her to marry, leaving Simon in charge to break his engagement with Diana. This news should have broken Diana’s heart but deep down she always wanted to marry for love, she is nothing but happy for the couple. On the other hand, she is certain her father will be furious and would blame her for calling off the wedding.
Simon didn’t want to leave Dianna alone to deal with the mess and the upcoming scandal. Compassionate as he is, he offers to help her escape and get her settled in some place far away from her father’s wrath. Thus, starts a road trip of love, life, and emotional discovery. I love the way their relationship bloomed over time, developing an emotional connection, mutual adoration, trusting and falling in love all the way.
This was such a delightful read with a well-written storyline you’ll just breeze through. It’s kind of a story that will bring a smile on your face with its heart-melting romance, a definite re-read material!
FYI, I read it as a standalone even if it’s a part of the series, it still didn’t spoil the experience for me.

Whoa! This book right here is a fine example of a story with twisted fate, complicated emotions, irony and soul-crushing love!
Jewel E. Ann is a master storyteller, there wasn’t a second while reading this book I felt bored or distracted. Her words sucked me in and I was transported to a different world of Nate – a single parent, widower whose once perfect world was ripped apart TWICE and Swayze – who is trying to adjust to a life of new found love with a perfect specimen of boyfriend Griffin, while struggling to understand her undeniable connection to Nate’s past.
“I can’t stop thinking of this. It’s a song that loops in my head. It’s a movie I want to watch until I have every scene-every line-memorized. It’s my favorite book where all the words have been read and reread in search of something new, something more. ……the love I have for whatever this is goes much deeper.”
Transcend in my opinion, was fresh and unique, with an engaging storyline and unpredictable outcomes. Everything about this book was perfectly done. Every lead character was given a depth to them, the story weaving between the past and present gave a much-needed insight into their connection. The writing was brilliant with a touch of humor, every chapter brought out that awe element you need to keep begging for more.
Take my advice and go in blind, you do not want to miss this ride. Okay not blind, at least reading blurb would suffice, I’m sure no one can resist a story with a single dad *winks*. However, Cliff-hanger ALERT!!
Now, if you’ll excuse me I have to go question my belief in life after death!?

Mon Dieu……this book left me breathless!
I had my doubts before but I am confident that Ms. Reisz is definitely from a different planet. I don’t think it’s humanly possible to create a dimension full of complicated yet perfect characters that you keep falling in love over and over again, falling so HARD it practically hurts to live without them. The Original Sinners has ALWAYS been special to me, they’ve attained such heights that no human can outwrite them except if you are Tiffany Reisz.
The Chateau was nothing short of spectacular, it was erotic, poetic, riveting, serene, yet exquisitely sadistic. This book gave me much-needed insight into unexplored years of Kingsley’s life when he was young and still in love with the blonde monster he can’t seem to forget.
If you are a fan of this series, the blurb is enough to seal the deal. So, I’ll be vague about the story. It’s been seven years since Kingsley last saw Søren, yet his every touch, his feel still haunts him. As a Lieutenant working for French secret military agency King’s current assignment is to retrieve the commanding officer’s nephew from a sex cult practicing sado-masochism from an unknown location in Paris. What follows once King is inside the château run by the dominatrix Madame is truly spellbinding. Madame, an enigmatic and a powerful character in this book, she takes sadism to a whole different level. Kingsley, as we know him today, is because of her. The very foundation of him and his kingdom was built in The Chateau.
The Chateau details the suffering and conflict Kingsley faces during his separation from Søren. Though this book is all about King, Søren’s presence was overwhelming in every chapter, in King’s every thought. This book was a truly a tribute to Kingsley’s unconditional love to Søren. And that’s why I loved it so much. Kingsley is not who is without Søren, the blonde monster who created him. This goes to show how much Tiffany is true to her characters. She captured the essence and beauty of submission with great clarity that one has to shed all the doubts about this being a dark lifestyle. If I adored her before now I worship the ground she walks on.
Don't disappoint our mistress people, READ THIS BOOK!

Ocean Isolated Mansion Forbidden love Holy man….(not that I’m complaining *wink)
This seems to be the recurring theme in Tiffany Reisz standalone’s but she works wonders with her stories each time creating one helluva reading experience.
With The Lucky Ones yet again Ms. Reisz proved she’s a master storyteller. I don’t know how she does it but every time I pick up her book I seem to transfer to a different parallel world she creates. This book has so many nail-biting moments that had me turning pages in no time.
Allison was fostered by a well-known philanthropist and a brain surgeon based in Oregon when she was a little girl. Dr. Vincent Capello takes in those kids who are deemed unworthy, who are considered handful by their family. Allison was the youngest of all the foster kids living with Dr. Capello in his home fondly known as ‘Dragon’. She truly finds happiness with her adopted family that she never knew but this bliss-filled life will be ripped off from her with one fateful incident.
After thirteen years of being apart from the Capello’s she mysteriously gets a letter from Roland, her oldest foster brother asking her to visit their dying father. Allison never wanted to go back to Dragon after what happened to her all those years ago. Still, she wants to pay her respects to the only father she knew for one last time. Being back in Dragon was something she never planned, as more days pass she realizes that this house harbors more secrets and horrific truths than she can handle.
“When you love someone, you sometimes make choices you don't want to make. You do things to help them that you wish you didn't have to do...”
What’s remarkable about Ms. Reisz’s books is that she never focuses on one element rather deals with complex subjects presenting it with great elegance. Apart from enjoying a good story, one is guaranteed to gain copious info from her books, this time Ms. Reisz deals with Psychology.
Aside from the eerie and daunting nature of this book, you will be charmed by the all secondary characters. Their constant back and forth bantering adds a comic relief to the otherwise spooky plot.
The Lucky Ones is a unique story of a family born out of love, sacrifice, secrets, and consequences. The uncertainty of the situation will question everyone and everything you come to love.

And when you are given a sneak peek of their lives in form of novella's who wouldn't want to grab a copy of it? Michael's Wings is a great treat for Griffin and Michael fans. All the characters are unique and lovable but when these two characters were introduced for the very first time I was immediately drawn to their chemistry, it was off the charts. Their love and adoration were simply heart-melting, I couldn't help myself but fall hard for these two super funny and adorable characters. This continuation of their story will make you giddy with joy. Plus this includes bonus stories published earlier.
I LOVE Tiffany for always writing short stories for all her characters even when the series ended long ago. Thank you for ALWAYS keeping the Sinners alive.

The Red is all things EROTIC, I didn’t know if any book could leave you HOT and BOTHERED (to an extent you constantly had to take a break to avoid having book-orgasm) like this one. That being said if you have read her previous books you must be aware of Tiffany Reisz’s phenomenal story telling ability. And with The Red, Ms. Reisz has taken this story to a whole new level.
Mona Lisa St. James is an owner of an art gallery ‘Red’ which is on the verge of shutting down. This gallery is the only thing that mattered to it, her mother’s dying wish, to save Red at any cost. And this help came in the form of a mysterious, wealthy Englishman ready to help Mona save this gallery but in return, she has to submit to him whenever he wants.
Not something new to most of us romance readers but with Ms. Reisz’s books you can always expect to be blown away by her unconventional love story and those surprising turn of events. This book isn’t all about sex (who am I kidding, 95% of the book is about it) but beyond that, the suspense, vivid settings, the characters, authenticity of her topic and the story development are just fascinating. Ms. Reisz is known for portraying strong female leads, Mona initially came across as shy and timid young women desperate to save her mother’s legacy. As the story progressed her character bloomed under Malcolm’s touch, she grew in every act, it’s like you are living her life and at times I wanted to switch places with her *winks*
What was supposed to be an agreement between the two turned out to be a life altering experience for Mona. This path of self-discovery Mona had throughout this sexual encounter was beautiful and heart-warming. Her passion and strength reminded me so much of Nora (Ms. Reisz’s master piece of all time), Nora once said-being called ‘slut’ and ‘whore’ is the highest compliment in her world and the way Mona embraced it was so delightful to read.
Leave it to Ms. Reisz to write something so provocative in such a subtle and elegant way that pushes your boundary and opens up your mind to any possibility. And I love her for that, no matter how many romance novels I read, her books always stand out to me, they bring a new meaning to love and intimacy.
If you are reading this, I have one request, can we get more of (view spoiler)[ Mona and Spencer (hide spoiler)] I know your naughty brains has no limits but I’m curious to know if he actually does things to her the way he described it?
This book isn’t for everyone, it has a strong sexual content and certain encounters are cringe worthy but if you are like me, loves everything dirty, filthy and erotic you will love it. Ms. Reisz’s style of writing is an acquired taste, her stories will definitely ruin other erotic books for life!
My favorite line from the book:
“His money made her a whore, but his cock had made her his slave.”

Tiffany Reisz did it again!! I love that she keeps surprising her readers with a new element of twist every time. This was such a delightful read and a beautiful story from TR. I adore her writing, her stories leave a lasting impression on me and The Night Mark didn't disappoint me at all.
If you think of romance with a riveting storyline, passionate love story, endearing characters, and weaving together the different timeline then it’s got to be Ms. T. Reisz. Like seriously, is there anything that she CAN’T write??
• Grieving widow • Retired Priest • Deaf house maid • Former sailor/Lighthouse keeper • An abandoned lighthouse • Ocean waves • Camera • An unorthodox love story that transcends time?
Now tell me if you can think of any possible storyline connecting these random elements? that’s when the author blows your mind with the big twist- TIME TRAVEL!!!
I LOVE any story involving time travels, it’s simply overwhelming since you get best of both the worlds. Not going to talk about the story though, I’m just here to rave about this wonderful book.
Ms. Reisz is a phenomenal storyteller and a talented writer, she is not just your conventional romance writer, her books carries a wealth of knowledge in every aspect she touches upon. Be it her explicit description of the setting, or unveiling the emotions, she grabs your attention right from the beginning and the best part of her stories- the ensemble cast and a strong/badass female lead. All you got to know is that nobody writes a dreamy, swoon-worthy priest like Ms. Reisz. *Sigh* with a mind like hers, I don’t think she would ever get bored, all she has to do is put Søren and Pat in a room together! It’s a wishful thinking but two priests together would rather make a sinful read *wink**wink*

You know you’ve read a good book when it makes you live every moment of the story, when it makes you overwhelmed with the array of emotions and when it has lasting impression on you. The Butterfly Project is one such rare book which stole my heart and made me an emotional mess throughout; I just wanted to climb inside this book and live in apartment 2E with Zelda and Beckett (Creepy much!).
This is a story of Zelda and Beckett, two lost souls struggling to make amends when the guilt of their past makes it almost impossible to breathe.
Zelda Rossi carries the burden of losing her baby sister right in front of her when they were kids. Her life was never the same after that incident, memories of her sister and guilt of it drives her out of her hometown. She never had a normal life since then, all she wants to do is bring some sort of justice for what happened and the only way she can think of avenging her sister is to write a graphic novel. Her way of projecting her emotions, to right the wrong, to bring peace to her grieving family.
After series of rejection from the publishers, with no job or money, and being in a strange city, she sees her dream crumbling down. When she decides to give up, she crosses path with Beckett, a kind stranger who offered her cigarette and little of his time.
Beckett Copeland served two years in prison for armed robbery. While life as such was difficult growing up, being a felon in the big apple was a punishment in itself. But what haunts him most is the mistake which cost him his two years and life of a man whom he robbed. Even though he’s out early for good behavior, he doesn’t forgive himself for this action nor does he thinks he deserves to be happy after knowing he destroyed a family. He has no intention of getting attached to someone or be a help to anyone, but when Zelda asked him to share his apartment, his simple YES changed the course of their life.
This book was more than just a romance it was thoughtful in so many ways. The author did a splendid job with this story. To execute the ripple effect in such subtle and endearing manner was just heart-warming. The story wasn’t rushed at any point nor had a loophole. Instead, it was written in a way where one could savor and absorb every moment, where one’s action had a series of reaction leading to a fairy tale ending.
We have always been taught to be kind and help a stranger in need. Not knowing sometimes, a simple smile, a hug or even listening to them talk can make so much difference. And this story portrayed that message well.
“There is a power in forgiveness… and magic in even the smallest of kindness”
I could kiss Emma Scott for writing this beautiful story of kindness, forgiveness, healing and second chances.
Emma, if you are reading this I want you to know that Zelda and Beckett’s story will always be close to my heart. It gave me hope and strength to go on, that every one of us deserves to be happy. THANK YOU for The Butterfly Project, it made a difference to me.

What makes you feel alive?
Ruckus is second addition to the Sinners of Saint series and this time we venture into Dean and Rosie’s life. If you think you know everything about these two characters, you are in for a BIG surprise. Dean is not just a frenemy to Vicious, nor Rosie a sick little sister to Millie, these characters are brought to life on such complex level that you can’t help but root for them, love them or even hate them but for sure they will grow on you.
I was little unsure about reading their story. I mean, Dean dated Rosie’s older sister and Rosie on other hand was battling a life-threatening disease and one would wonder how can you make their story work. After having read this, I just want to go back in time and berate me for ever doubting L.J.’s crazy writing skills. This woman can make ANYTHING WORK!
“I saw him first. I craved him first. I loved him first.”
They say when two people are meant to be together, no forces on the earth can stop them from ending up together. That’s what life had planned for these two soulmates. Rosie and Dean were always destined to be together, but life played a cruel joke on her. Of all the guys she could easily have, she had to fall for that one HotHole, who was forbidden in every way possible. Rosie owed everything to her sister, she didn’t want to do anything to hurt her even if it meant burying her feelings deep within.
Now eleven years later when they crossed paths, Dean is desperate to rewrite their story and this time he is going to choose the right sister, but will Rosie ever trust her heart with a manwhore like Dean again?
What I loved the most in this book was the depth of the characters. Dean being a HotHole was always portrayed as a fun-loving, partying playboy but as the story advances, we get to see the real Dean. The Dean who is dealing with a lot of issues, who buries his despair in alcohol and weed, the Dean who is still a little boy waiting to be loved. Their constant struggle with reality and yet them finding their way back to each other was such a delightful experience. This author knows how to create A-hole heroes who make you go weak at the knees *wink.
This was such a perfect read for me; What not to love when you get everything you were looking for, wrapped up in a single book-
-An engaging storyline along with a great writing, -Intense main characters who are begging to be loved/hated, -Mind blowing sexual tension -Well balanced secondary characters -And a redeeming A-hole hero!
Boy, what a redemption it was. Going from hating to practically swooning over this brooding, larger than life alpha/anti-hero was the best part of this story.
I’m being evasive about the story that’s because there’s plenty of stellar reviews out there, I’m here basically to gush! Anyway, here’s a quote which will sum up this story….
“I loved her when I hated her. And I loved her when I didn’t want anything to do with her. I was so crazy about her, the lines had blurred together. Feelings were mixed, emotions twisted together.”
Vicious is a well-written story and the author flawlessly wove the past and present together, giving a perfect backstory to understand their crazy obsession. This book is full of intense emotions which in no way was overdone at any point. This was my first read from L.J. Shen and let me tell you something here, this woman’s words are as addicting as her characters. I was hung up on every word she wrote like a junkie looking for her next fix. Guess I found my new go-to author.
This is not a never-heard-before-story but the author put a different spin to a notion of an epic love story, where the line between love, hate, and passion was all blurred out. Everything about this book screams perfection. It’s not just romance, it’s about obsession taken to a new level.
Absolute favorite read of this year!!
Thanks a ton for the rec’ twinnie, you do know how I like my book boyfriends *winks* xoxo.
Who else signed up for this book only looking at the title?!
I love everything about enemies to lover’s trope and the title sold it good. Nicole Williams indeed delivered a sweet and sassy entertaining romance, with its witty dialogues, laugh out loud moments, steamy scenes and a sex on a stick-brooding alpha male, Hate Story is a perfect book to kick back and relax this holiday season.
Nina and Max enter into a marriage of convenience. Max wants a green card to be a legal citizen of America and Nina is desperate to save her grandmother’s house. They entered into an agreement where both gets what they want; desire, attraction and love were not going to be part of it. That seems to be easy since Max’s arrogance and overachieving nature just push all her buttons and Nina isn’t exactly the type of a woman Max is used to; she stands her ground and not easily charmed. Theirs was a hate at first sight. Hate was all that they needed to survive this marriage for next three years until love waltz into their life unexpected!
“Nina was my sanctuary as much as she was my war zone. Peace and solace one moment, explosions and massacre the next.”
This was a delightful read, a light-hearted romance filled with hate, passion, laughter and love! The characters were superb. They were headstrong, charming and witty to the point of pissing each other off, this crazy love/hate equation was cleverly written by the author, I loved their banters so much. There was a slight hiccup that stopped it from making this a great read, the whole transformation from hating to loving was hasty. Though I loved their chemistry I didn’t see the development of their attraction/love. Also, the ending seemed rushed, I felt the family was just a filler contrary to how they were initially introduced even when there was a lot of room to add some angst to the mix.
Overall, a well-written feel happy kind of love/hate story!
