Anthony's luck is mighty unfortunate. This poor man will get knocked out by fresh air and wake up only to get shot, stabbed or have some other kind of injury. It hilarious but seriously WTF. Give the poor guy a break. On top of his habit of getting injured.. He is also heavy babied and therefore has yet been able to prove himself in the Costa family. Anthony got the break he deserved and a chance to show the family he's not a fuck up and got a whole lot more than he bargained for. I LOVE HIM. He's sweet, attentive.. knows how to treat a woman and can get shit done himself (being injury prone aside of course). This man naturally sold himself understanding when to take a step back and when to push. His love for his family is admirable. His dedication and loyalty unwavering. He was that fully package kind of deal wrapped up neat in a tall dark and handsome suit.
Saylor is my absolute favourite kind of heroine. The loner with attitude but not in your face about it. She just liked to be left alone to mull through her own shit. She did things on her time in her way and liked it like that. She wasn't a fan of new, strange or groups. I was with her there. She wasn't cruel or selfish. She just lived her life independently and liked it that way. She wasn't afraid to stand her ground even when she was out numbered. She was smart. She had a heart of gold and let few in but once they were in that was it.. also doggo saviour ... I seen that coming a mile away. I lived for her sarcasm and her need to protect Anthony from himself. She's a badass.
These two cracked me up. They are so opposite and yet they worked, despite their unconventional beginning. The chemistry is hot and the begrudged connection that builds over time is something special. They made me happy.
As per it really wouldn't be a Jessica book without side characters and this one brings them with a bang. You have gun running, drug dealing, money laundering, gun fights, car jacking at gun point. Stealing a doggo and so much more. suffice to say there is never a dull moment. There's overprotective families, lovable mommas, hilarious banter and some crazy shenanigans. I laughed, ranted and swooned. It was a rollercoaster. That ending.. It was perfection.
Honestly I'm always excited for what's to come next so that is never a shock.. but I do wonder who it will be. Exciting possibilities. ...more
Excited would be an understatement. If I thought I loved Roman in his story.. Him as a OTT dad?! Sir.
Rafael is simply dSo we're on to the kids huh?.
Excited would be an understatement. If I thought I loved Roman in his story.. Him as a OTT dad?! Sir.
Rafael is simply delicious is the most toxic over the top crazy kind of way. Is he sane? nope. Did he cross many lines? yup. Did I love regardless? absolutely. He's a man in the grey area but steps into the black with no issues. He fought his entire life to protect what is his. To build his empire. To make those who aided his suffering pay. Oh and boy did he. Yet there really is something special about this man and his many funny quirks. His needy emotions. His over the top spending and love for one sassy woman. Honesty.. Perfection.
Vasilisa is far more than Rafe bargained for to be honest. Aside from her being a woman to start.. She didn't cower to him and his crazy. She stood tall.. as tall as her tiny self could and gave him hell. She is a lethal combination of her mom and dad. Sassy, smart and fiercely loyal. However she is also sweet in a way that Rafe is definitely not used to. She's a brilliant heroine.
These pair had me cracking up even in the most inappropriate times. They fought like cat and dog and clashed over just about everything. They bickered like they'd been married for 60 years. The connection was undeniable. What it build was something so special and equally dysfunctional. Yet they worked. The chemistry was insane. The little digs and cheeky smug smirks.. It fed my soul. They had me creased with laughter. Sighing in contentment. Raging in anger and at times just feeling utterly frustrated. They fit when they shouldn't have and I loved them for it.
Their journey wasn't easy but it was so worth it. The side characters are the gift that gives with much loved older faces as well as some new and interesting ones. There was never a dull moment that is for sure.
I knew I wouldn't be disappointed given I've loved all the other stories but this one was a huge win because it will definitely be a favourite of mine. Now I'm excited for what's next....more
Jessica Doesn't do Single parent often but when she does... boy she steals my heart.
Aurelio didn't need to meet the right woman to know exactly what hJessica Doesn't do Single parent often but when she does... boy she steals my heart.
Aurelio didn't need to meet the right woman to know exactly what he wanted from his future. He didn't need the wake up call or the kind of partner who brought out those feelings. This man was ready. This man planned his future in his mind and made his house ready for what he always knew he wanted. He just needed the right woman to have his dream with.
THIS MAN. This man right here is the PERFECT HERO. Strong, dependable, kind, understanding and patient. He was sweet but also dirty in all the ways you desire. He was protective and loyal and not the least bit afraid to show his feelings and act upon them. LEGIT PERFECTION I TELL YOU.
Claire.. sweet Claire. She despite being in a horrific situation, took the chance to warn a perfect stranger. To save a man who little did she know would become her life. She was strong, honourable, kind, loyal and loving. She did everything to protect her sweet boy and I loved her for it. She was a phenomenal mum and just an all round good person. A heroine with great growth that was believable. One I rooted for the whole damn way.
These two together gave me all the feel good cheek hurting smiles. It wasn't easy.. everything they went through was gutting to get to their HEA but them together? It made everything right. The chemistry of course was insane but the sweet connection they have? it truly was something so special. Something that made it impossible not to be happy for them, to not feel that raw love like they were two souls completely intertwined.
Also Aurelio with Judah?!!!..
A man who's good to his woman is perfection. A man that good with a baby?.. MY OVERIES COULD NEVER.
I loved their story so much I honestly can't emphasise just how happy it made me.
Also the side characters... I want Smushs story yesterday. I need to know what shenanigans she's up to. I love them all though. This world as a whole is a great place to be. Old characters popping in and new faces appearing.. It feels like home but also fresh and exciting all at the same time. Jessie can do no wrong for me she is like a comfort blanket in books. The sweet, the heartbreak, the hilarious and the suspense.. It all makes me so freaking happy. I just loved this one so freaking much....more
Hate to Love/ Enemies to Lovers. Forced Proximity Marriage of Convenience MAFIA.
It's been done for yeFavourite book by Jessica ever. PERIOD. I CANNOT.
Hate to Love/ Enemies to Lovers. Forced Proximity Marriage of Convenience MAFIA.
It's been done for years. The marriage of convenience, when two people from different families are forced to marry to keep war at bay and bring a union together. A treaty of sorts. With rules of course.
Isabella did not spend her day thinking her whole world was about to change when she was so rudely snapped up and taken from everything she knows, and thrown into shark territory with no chance of surviving unscathed.
Primo is a man who bleeds for the family, works for the family and keeps the family running no matter what it takes to achieve all that. He understands he has to be the bag guy but that doesn't mean he isn't traditional when it comes to his values or his wife.
Lords above these two had my gut burning and my heart feeling like it was about to pump itself out of my fucking chest. The tension was so fucking tangible I could feel myself getting angsty with anticipation.
Isabella is a sweet woman who understood the life she was born into. She had the fire and the backbone but she also had dreams of her perfect wedding and a life with the one she'd love for a life time. Obviously that guy was never meant to be Primo. Isabella showed many admirable traits through her own person journey but I think the best one was her unwavering loyalty to her family and the knowing that the sacrifices she made was to save the ones she loved. That there is true strength. The kind you can't fake. However miss Isabella is a Mafia woman and she was not about to take her captivity laying down. She showed Primo that he really didn't know her and that she would fight him every damn step of the way in ways that he couldn't stop or have any control over. Let's just say the little lamb turned into a damn lion when she wanted to.
Primo is a prime hottie asshat that I'm living and dying for. That's my toxic trait.. wanting the asshole bahahaha. No seriously, what he did is unforgivable but also genius. He knew the only way to make the families see him was to give them something that would prevent war... even if he had to take something to do that. Let just say he didn't step off on the right foot but his intentions are understood and contrary to popular belief he is a monster but he's not that kind of monster. So he stole his soon to be wife and with that he stole her dreams but he wasn't going to take what was not freely offered to him. When I tell you is man is positively lethal... the sex appeal to him is unrivalled. He isn't sweet or tender, not even a little but he is present and true to himself with a side just for Isabella that made him appear more vulnerable and easier to understand.
They had the love to hate feelings down to perfection. Her throwing sass and him soaking in the attitude was foreplay. They pushed and pulled at eachother. They broke boundaries and somewhere along the line it started to mean more. She pushed at his hard and found something fucking precious and he pulled at her resentment and found unwanted need. They bounced around eachother, they fought, they teased and lord did they build eachother up to the point you don't think they can live up to the dirty expectations you have of them. Like the tension is just that fucking high. But they did. Boy did they... it was like they just combusted because they reached the point of no return and it was at the worst time ever but still it was fucking hot and I was swoooning like a crazy bitch.
Honesty they sucked the life out of me in the best ways. Their journey is turbulent to say the least filled with so much intensity, it's almost to much. I adored the back and forth cat and mouse game. I loved watching them both loose and win simultaneously. It was a marathon not a race for sure but it was worth every single minute of the crazy.
The side characters!!!!!. Just saying but if I don't get Brio I'm going to start a war. I need my animal giving psychopath like yesterday. Then we have Vissi and Mira.... I'm curious and wanting and praying they will be a them because the chemistry they have is insane. Then we have all the other characters who add so much personality to this crazy story. I love this world, these characters and their crazy lives. There is never a dull moment and it quickly became my favourite place to be.
Oh and the story... let's just say it leads to where I never expected and shook the ever loving shit out of me. GURLLLLL. I did not see it fucking coming. Flabbergasted.
Honestly... this series is epic and this is my favourite to date.

Frenamies to lovers is my favourite. This one is on the softer side of that but Traveler and August just have this ability to wind one another up stirring the pot whilst letting that unresolved tension simmering until its undeniable and they couldn't fight it. It's everything. Especially when you combine it with the suspense of what's happening to and around them. All the feels.
Traveler is saving the world one plastic bit at a time. Our sweet souled saviour isn't without her own cranky attitude. She's quick to bite and she gets defensive but she's got the best intentions and she feels more than most.
August is just a delightful package wrapped in a delicious suit. He of course has a saviour complex a mile wide and he cannot resist the crazy world saving lady despite the fact she ruffles his feathers. Ah this man. So sweet. So good even when he's bad. I couldn't get enough of him.
I loved them. I loved the build up to their journey. The crazy chemistry, hilarious bickering and banter and the moments were the walls break down and they allow themselves to be vulnerable. It was the best!.
These mafia men are just built differently. I love the family and how they come together despite the odd rouges going out alone. Or atleast trying too. I adore the giant family gatherings, bickering, banter and dysfunction. I live for the sneak peaks of secondary characters we may have in the future as well as those we already know and love so much.
This in typical Jessica fashion brought action, suspense, romance, love and a HEA to make your soul happy. I cannot wait to see where she takes us in out next Mafia romance, they are some of my favs!.

This is actually one of my favourites from all the mafia men. You know when you just freaking love a book you get that book glow. That stupid happy smile when you finish. The thinking back on certain scenes and smiling hard. Talking about it to family despite the fact they have no clue what your talking about. The wanting to re read it all over again for the first time just to feel this warm glowy feeling again. That's how I'm feeling right now.
The funny thing is this one is low on the action. It's not crazy suspenseful.. I mean it had suspense. It has secrets, lies and betrayals.. but its not crazy. It's the characters. They just did magical things for me reading this one. Today was a phenomenal day for reading because I soaked it in like a sponge, stretched it to last longer and enjoyed the shit out of their journey.
Avery.. My girl... shit but she is a hot damn mess. It would be entertaining if I wasn't feeling for her life at times because lord she gave Anthony a run for his money in the accident prone department. She did not get a break in life. Poor girl got shovelled shit and still kept her chin up and moved forward. The kind of sweet that saved kitties, cooked meals and shopped cheap despite having a big budget. She took all the small successes, never took a thing for granted and gave back more than she was ever given. She was a whole damn village in one woman. Sweet, kind.. loved with her whole soul and had the biggest potty mouth that got hella creative. I loved her.
Emilio.. our sweet broken used to be player who lived life. Man he was broken by his sister and Primo in a way that was soul deep. I was gutted for him but also loved him for how hard he took that. It truly is a testament to just how much he loves his family. My man here got his sunshine back though and boy was it a pleasure to see his quirky buckles, cheeky smirks and funny nature back again. He really is the sweetest. Loyal to a fault, kind even in the face of a hot mess potty mouthed blonde and even understanding in a time where he had every right to be mad. Oh did I mention patient?!. As well as a whole lot of sexy. Our Emilio here knew how to get down right.
These two had me smiling so hard my cheeks hurt. They are all kinds of sweet and right for each other. The chemistry was perfection.. the build up was EVERYTHING. I loved the banter, the hilarious avoidance. The kitty smuggling and every time he had to save her from herself. Honestly they just made me feel all the feels in all the best ways.
As always with Jessie, she pacts a punch with her characters and this one is no different. Not only do we get to see a tonne of old favourites. We also get some new faces teased as well as more face time for out sweet hella accident prone youngling Ant..
I tell you I am so excited for the future. I'm super curious to see which direction she goes in next because there is so many ways in which she could go and honestly I wouldn't be mad either way. I have a feeling shit is about to get real interesting.
LOVED IT!
Side note... The epilogue!!! She had me in tears of happiness. Granted I am an emotional basket case right now but still... So fucking sweet!!!!.

I was positively drooling for Brio's story. I wanted a first class ticket into the inner workings Be still my heart....
My favourite Psychohas arrived
I was positively drooling for Brio's story. I wanted a first class ticket into the inner workings of this puppy giving, women saving, happy torturers mind. Oh it didn't disappoint. It surpassed any and all expectations. That man is just positively delicious in all his crazy glory.
Brio is such a unique character. He's twisted and lacks moral compass and yet he is kind and he is thoughtful. He's a contradiction if ever I've read one. There is so many layers that make this man. So much depth you could dig for a lifetime and yet still not have it all.
Ezmeray was a unexpected much welcomed surprise. She is fragile but so strong. She despite life giving her hardship continued to survive and later thrive. She was the sweet light and gentle touch in Brio dark deprived world.
Brio and Ezzy gave me the home comforts feel. They had undeniable chemistry that pulsed through the pages but under that tension was this unspoken connection. One made instantly because of their hardship and pain. The kind only they could understand. That they could relate to eachother with. But do not mistake what I am saying, neither character was a victim. They not only survived, they thrived. Together.
Ah. I swear I have to stop my rambling ass before I spill things.
Just like any Jessie book, she has given us great characters, an unpredictable story and a journey that will consume you. I felt everything. I laughed, ranted, raved and swooned. It has so much dark humour, I died... laughing. I'm twisted I know.
But there is a trigger warning for anyone who can't read abuse. This book does have that so if you're sensitive to it, maybe ask someone before diving in.
I just know everyone will love Brio and Ezzy. Jessie you never fail us my darling, I am in awe of your crazy talents.

I really love this series and the crazy that comes along with it.
I'm just going to say now... VEGA. I WANT HER.
Mere our lSo much love for this couple.
I really love this series and the crazy that comes along with it.
I'm just going to say now... VEGA. I WANT HER.
Mere our leading lady is just the sweetest. She the soft, sweet keeps to herself kind that wouldn't hurt a fly. Mere hasn't had an easy life and those struggles affect her to this day but her trauma doesn't stop her from living, she just has some at times exhausting quirks and a do it herself personality that I can absolutely relate to with my own OCD rituals. She was a total old soul who appreciated the little things in life and never asked for much. Her having her HEA made my heart happy so hard because she deserved to have the happy that Cesare gave her.
Cesare is just a whole load of deliciously sinful and most definitely bad for you in all the best ways kind of man. He comes is with this bad boy, touches what he shouldn't past and blows all that out the water real quick with the sweet gentle touch he has with Mere. I love that he was dirty as holy hell but still opened the door and brought the flowers and made Mere feel cherished like the lady she was. He is a damn dream frankly and one of my fav guys!!.
These two are the cutest. First because you know this man is a damn hoe with a habit of getting freaky in the sheets with women he shouldn't and yet turns into a the sweetest gentleman who handles Mere with care. IT'S EVERYTHING. They just clicked liked they had always been despite being worlds apart in life. The chemistry is INTENSE. The sexy scenes..... GOOD LORD!!! It was all too much in the best ways.
I love all of these mafia books man. The world building, the many amazing characters that bring all the laughter and crazy shenanigans. I loved it all. I am super excited to see who comes next.. I laughed, swooned and fell in love with these characters. With their personal growth as well as them as a couple. And those epilogues are EVERTHING. She gave me everything I needed and then some. Brio is just my man. I swear everything about him just hits right.
Obviously Emilio has me Curious... My guy is struggling and I want to know everything. Grumpy Gav also has me intrigued. And of course Vega!! Ma gurlllllll. I NEED, WANT... MUST HAVE.
That is all.
It was fanfuckingtastic. Funny thing is I was in hell of a book funk before this and now I need to do a re-read of all the mafia guys!!.

Funny thing is I was in hell of a book funk before this and now I need to do a re-read of all the mafia guys!!....more

I Love the idea of Mafia romance and have loved several including the first book in the series but I normally don't dive in to many because the mafia world is a mans world and a lot of the time the women will always be second class and afraid or unable to voice their opinions. Me? I'm a bitches bitch. I like strong women who even in the most cut throat situation stand by their morals and hold their head high. This is why I love Jessica so damn much. Not only does she just give us phenomenal stories. She gives me fierce women who rock their own worlds. Fuck yes.
I mean come on.. we all knew going in that this story was going to be interesting after reading The Woman At The Docks where Lorenzo rocks up to a meeting with a chick in his trunk. Let me tell you you're in for a fucking treat. Jessica, and I don't say this lightly.. she out did herself here. This story is my favourite book second only to the Fall Of V. It's that damn good.
Lorenzo was a character I wanted immediately after reading about him in book one. I claimed him straight off. He's dark broody and all kinds of bad for you but that's what makes him so fucking good. His character is a well balanced mix of hard and unapologetically confident but one thing about these men is that they always stand by family first and they typically have a moral code that means they don't fuck with women and children. That is until he's sent to kidnap a certain woman.
Giana is the kind of heroine you'll immediately love and respect but will continue to fall even more in love with as her story unfolds. She strong, fierce and inspiring. If you love a character who doesn't give up, then this is the girl for you. She fights for herself the whole damn way and screw the consequences. Her character has so many layers I was continuously shocked throughout the story and just in awe of her. She's the epitome of survivor.
Giana and Lorenzo's journey is a crazy one filled with so many twist and turns you don't see coming. The chemistry between these two characters is pure fire despite them trying real hard to fight it. It only serves to fuel a burning inferno between them. The moments of resentment combined with that raw wanting leave you feeling all kinds of ways. These two are just pure fire together for better or worse and I couldn't get enough of it. I was so invested in them I can't even.
It's a very all consuming twisted forbidden rollercoaster that teases you with burning resented chemistry, dark humour and some real heart wrenchingly brutal relalites that hurt your soul. It's suspenseful, it's action packed and it's thrilling. Everything about them and the situation they find them selves in had me hooked from page one. It's just the kind of book that you open and get lost in. It isn't your sweet average romance. They are very much in that grey area of life where they do bad shit because they can and that's it. It's not sweet, in fact there is very little conventional sweet. However there are moments of raw vulnerability that shock you stupid because despite how invincible these characters seem it makes you realise they're just human and as a reader I can relate to that.
I love that these characters do not change because of love. They are exactly who they started as but they grow and evolve with eachother into something greater. The same and yet different. I love this crazy dark work Jessica has created with these multidimensional characters and page turning storylines that's leave you wanting need more. There just wasn't a moment in this book that didn't fit. Everything is so fucking seamless and I can't get enough of it.
Now give me Brio's book... I love me a psycho and he just seems like the right kind. Also.. Emilio because lord he makes my ovaries swoon.

The strong women and sweet but deliciously dominant men are my vibe. This is mafia but it's not old school meek women me man it's my world mafia. It's more open so whilst it's still a mans world, the men don't get a kick out of belittling their women... they treasure them. It's fast becoming my favourite world.
Lucky- A made man. He's sent to Chicago to take care of a 'problem'. That problem turned out to be a whole damn situation. It's safe to say he wasn't prepared for the turn of events that occurred but that little trip turned out to be life changing for him and Via. I loved lucky so hard. He's a true family man and genuinely so sweet. He handled Via with so much care and was willing to risk it all for her. I loved that in his job he's this formidable mafia guy but with Via he had all the sweet romancing and humour. Oh and the man knows how to take care of his woman. Real good care!.
Via, gosh that poor woman had it hard and yet still stood strong like the queen she was. You learn real quick how different her life is compared to that of the other women in the mafia world who are usually treasured. Despite everything she endured she still found the strength to stand up and make a change. I loved her, she's witty and so freaking sweet when she has every right to be jaded. It was a pleasure to see her feel safe with lucky and get to feel what it's like to be loved truly. Also... she conquered the ladies man without even trying! What a babe.
I just adored their story. Via and Lucky have chemistry right from the beginning but the connection that blossoms between them is the absolute sweetest. Their journey isn't easy by any means and they definitely get tested but they just made my heart happy with that special love they have. The Woman In The Scope is a unique mix of dark and light with a pinch of action, a smidge of suspense and a whole lot of sweet and saucy. Jessie never fails to find the perfect balance in her stories and this is certainly no different. Can we talk side characters?.. one of the things I love the most about Jessica's books is the deep appreciation she has for strong side characters that leave you always wanting more. Of course I'm immediately attracted to the psychotic guy, Brio. I mean in my defence.. he's loveable and hilarious. Plus I know everyone will be loving on him so I'm not alone in my attraction to the wronguns. Aside from him the many personalities that grace this story only add more greatness and entertainment and I freaking love it. This book just hit so right. I found myself waiting on edge to see what would happen. I laughed and swooned and cursed like crazy and by the end was so sad for it to be over. Everything from plot progression to character development is just perfect. I feel like there are so many possibilities for the future with this series and that gets me so freaking excited because so far I am loving it and cannot wait for what comes next.

This book just had me swooning the whole damn way despite the fact that it's got a few oh shit moments because Nino is the fucking sweetest and Savannah is a genuine angel.
Nino is a man that when he gives his word, he takes his tasks above and beyond. Excessively. He is loyal to a fault. The absolute sweetest and good lord the man had some creative ways to thank a girl. This man is just delicious. There really is nothing else to say. I'm talking perfect book boyfriend material. The BEST.
Savannah is a woman who you just know was grown from the best stuff. The kind that was nurtured in all the healthy ways. She is the freaking sweetest. Sunshine really is the perfect description for her because she is so bright, upbeat and genuinely kind in that glowy makes you feel good to be around way. She took things in her stride, protected without even thinking and put everything in to anything she did. Sighs... I kinda hate that I love her so much bahaha.
They really are the sweetest most perfectly matched couple there ever was. Even if at times I wanted to throttle them for not saying anything for a hot minute. The chemistry is insane and the connection so sweet. I just really loved reading them and their journey. They're the kind of characters that just make you feel good.
I loved this one. These characters truly had my heart and me so invested in them. Not to mention the side characters like Sunshine that is actually Sav's moms name!, and of course Giulia and the whole family!!. I adore the dynamic between them all and am so excited to hopefully get more stories from some characters who showed face throughout this story. Especially Sofia aka Smush. Oh and August!. Ah. I need them all.
Also how fucking sweet is Savannah's relationship with her momma?!. It just made my heart happy I tell you.

Finally after what feels like years of nagging, we've got our first taste of the forbidden fruit and I enjoyed the hell out of it.
Luca- A hardass mafia boss loyal and dedicated to his family, to their namesake. Ohhh he is absolutely a tasty treat. A suit wearing bossman with a sweet side I could not get enough of. Feared by many loved by few.
Romina- A sweet girl who chose the wrong place to scope out. She's strong and loyal despite her fears. I loved her hearty determination and the fact that she stood up for herself despite the odds against her. My kind of lady.
Their story definitely isn't your conventional romance however it's also not your stereotypical mafia romance either. Jessica has absolutely mastered the art of combining everything great in multiple tropes and making the most delicious combination. It's not as harsh as some mafia stories but it's definitely not all sweet either, the balance is fucking perfect without overwhelming your senses.
There is an obvious attraction straight up from the beginning and the chemistry was definitely palpable the minute they go close to eachother but it's not a sprint. Their connection blossomed as their journey progressed and the plot unraveled. The pace is perfect because we really get a good feel of who Romy and Luca are individually as well as together and whilst it wasn't smooth sailing, you got a feel from the beginning that they belonged together!. The focus was on them but I loved the familia vibe with the Grassi tribe. The secondary characters play big parts in Luca and Romy's story and of course added so much character to the journey. For better and worst.
It has a little suspense, a little humour, a lot of sass and a good dose of fiery chemistry. It's also has that forbidden shouldn't want to but can't help yourself vibe I love so freaking much. There's multidimensional characters and a story with so much emotion it will have you all up in your feels. Seamlessly written with a little of everything there honestly isn't anything to not love. I think Jessica did a great job of laying the foundations of this series within a already huge world of big characters, whilst still giving the Grassi family their own little slice of individuality. She managed to incorporate all the values you'd assume comes with such a powerful family without it being a total male dominated overload. Everything in the story has its place whilst she also set the course for future happenings and it had me all kinds of curious. Lucky... Matteo. Let's just say I want more like yesterday. Also... HOLY PLOT TWIST. I didn't, couldn't see that motherfucker coming. That is all I'll say.
It's always bitter sweet finishing a book you love. You loved it but the realisation that it's done and you have to wait what feels like for freaking ever for the next is sad. I'm sad now. But also .. what a fucking book. Steam queen did it again, its fire.

I really had no idea what to expect so Donovan and Maeve were a pleasant surprise for me if I'm honest.
They do say opposites attract right and in this case they are most certainly right.
Donovan is an adrenalin junkie who thrives off the rush of danger. He keeps to himself, sociable without being in your face. I really enjoyed his character and the way he just instantly decided he wanted to try for more with Maeve because he knew once just wasn't enough. I also loved that there was more than just the club to him and he linked up with the mafia. It made for an interesting opening to other characters.
Maeve is sweet and shy with big dreams and not enough self belief. She had routine. She sticks to what she knows and where she's comfortable. She's a woman who likes her bubble and I loved her for that because she's relatable. Despite her big fears and the crazy she finds herself in she still manages to hold herself high and stand up for those she loves. She's all kinds of good in the best ways.
These two had crazy chemistry and a very unexpected first moment that had me shook. I loved the sweet ways Maeve cared for Donovan. I also loved the way Donovan never made her feel like her dreams were unachievable. On paper they seem like a unrealistic match but in reality they were perfect together. His hard to her soft made for a sweet loving and very protective bubble I was living for.
Jessie always loves to sneak us a few new faces in as well as old and I love her for it every time. The chemistry between the characters is fantastic and they never fail to have me laughing so freaking hard and always wanting more. Triss was giving me LIFE. I love how she just integrated herself into the club like she had always been there. I cannot wait to see what comes of her story.
All in all I freaking loved it. There journey gave me all the feels and made my world quiet for a few short hours. I cannot wait to see what comes next from Jessie!.

oh this one had my blood boiling in alYet again Neva has given us a very different story within this Perfectly Imperfect series and I am here for it.
oh this one had my blood boiling in all kinds of ways my friend.
Alessandro did not come in here with friendly vibes. He was a man with a plan and nothing was shaking than. Especially not what appeared to be a stuck up mafia tart who though she was better than everyone right? WRONG. Boy he got this one so wrong. But he made up for it. Despite his trauma he protected her when he knew. He hated that he came to love her but he loved her with everything in him. This man is a lethal weapon in everyway and even when he frustrated me I still loved him.
My girl Ravenna is a queen. She put up with all manner of foul for her family and she did it whilst keeping herself . She was strong, sweet and she loved her momma and shit head brother despite the shit he did to get her in the situation she was in. I had nothing but made respect for her and how she handled herself. Even when I wanted her to shoot them all.
Their story is definitely a whole lot different to look and then the rest giving how Ravenna lived and the fact she was married. I felt a whole rollercoaster of emotions through this story and the journey that was Rav and Al. It's definitely not an easy read but lord did it make me feel.
Plus a Al, Sergei and Felix reunion is everything I needed and then some. I'm so glad my broken man got his happy and gave Rav the life she deserved.
Another fabulous addition to this series for sure. ...more

Asya and Pavel's story comes with a warning and for good reason. This one actually had a tear coming out my dead ass dry eyes.
Asya was hurt in ways no one should ever be hurt and that in turn made her broken in ways she thought would never be pieced back together again. Lucky for her Pavel just so happens to be the kind of glue that could help heal anything. Despite what she thought though she was strong beyond belief and had so much more to give than she gave herself credit for.
Pasha my sweet sweet man. Oh he just stole my heart. The way this man changed his entire life to fit the needs of what would help Asya had me gasping through the swoons. He was everything sweet and right, even in his crazy dark world.
Their relationship development and dynamic was interesting and I was very impressed with how Neva navigated through that mind field to give them the ending they both desperately deserved. I just loved them.
I'll be back with more to add upon my reread. ...more

Tore is my fav combined with crazy Sergei.
This man lost his damn marbles when it came to Milene. So much so that everyone near him were positively flabbergasted at his new levels of crazy and that's saying something. But man his sweet with her was everything. I was basically liquid by the end.
I loved Milene and just how sweet she was with accepting and confronting Tore and his brand of crazy. She held her own when it was needed but let it be when she knew is mattered. She was strong and sweet and all kinds of brave for dealing with Tore and for it to not be such a huge deal.
I loved the dynamic of them. It was not conventional at all but it was true to them sweet and I was here for all. My Favs!!.
Again I'll be back at a later date to add more to this bare ass review.
Oh Luca you dirty mother fucker. Who'da thunk this man would be such a dirty possessive freak in the sheets though. Delicious.
Isabella is my favouritOh Luca you dirty mother fucker. Who'da thunk this man would be such a dirty possessive freak in the sheets though. Delicious.
Isabella is my favourite heroine of this series thus far and I've read all 8 already. I'd Give my tits to read the 9th already but atlas I can't so this is where I'm at.
Isabella is a powerhouse of a woman. A woman who is hugely underestimated by everyone outside of her pop and mom. No one seen her coming and I was here cackling evil laughs at her being a queen the whole damn time. She knew what she wanted and fought for it. She was loyal to a fault, sweet and gave a fuck. I stan Isa.
Luca is a little shit bag for a hot minute fighting the inevitable. That being said I also understood. I loved that he was trying to protect Isa even when he pushed her away. I also loved the fact he appeared so prim and yet this man reeked of dirty nasty promises in secret. I was here for it.
Their story was interesting to say the least. I loved the push and pull even when it pissed me off. The end was perfection though and their dynamic as a hole fit right when they actually had their shit together.
I'll be back when I do a re read to actually make sense of this review but just know really fucking love this series. ...more

The way he is so gentle and loving to Angelina even knowing she's lying. I cannot. This man is a national treasure. Also his relationship with Felix? I CANNOT. I love him.
Angelina is a sweet and she did what she could to survive what she though would be another shitty situation. I love that despite loosing her home, father and everything she knew.. she still managed be herself and hold her own. They way she delt with Sergei's issues... I cannot. I loved her.
They two are my happy place. Is is a conventional relation? nope. But did I give any fuck? Nope.
I Just loved them and Felix and the whole dysfunctional situation.
I will come back for a more in depth review later.
I never mentioned before but I personally wouldn't say these stories are dark romance. Do they have dark content within? yes. But it's not the whole story and certainly not what I would say is dark romance. I will say though, those triggered should check that shit before diving in because there may be some. ...more
Exsqueeze me but wtf is this and how have I never heard of this series or author?. I'm living under a fucking rock I swear.
Mikhail and Bianca slayed Exsqueeze me but wtf is this and how have I never heard of this series or author?. I'm living under a fucking rock I swear.
Mikhail and Bianca slayed me. This one was better than the first. Before anyone says anything.. I feel like the character development is better and just saying but the sex. Book one was a 5star too but this one felt a little more developed and hit even better which for me was a WIN. I've read them all and this goes throughout. Each one kept getting better.
Mikhail our broken crazy hero. Oh I loved this man and he surprised the fuck out of me with his little revelation. He expects everyone to be appalled by his scars or be fascinated wanting to ride on the thrill train getting a shot at the damaged mafia guy. But he was so much more than that. He was a man who could be surprisingly patient, kind and even soft. He kept waiting for the ball the drop with Bianca and it pleased me big time when he came to the realisation that she wanted him for him and nothing else. He is scrumptious.
Bianca is all kinds of sweet and genuine and the way she invested time into Mikhail and his. I cannot. She was a woman with her own trauma and yet she pushed through that and only seen him for who he was. Even when she realised he has crazy stalking tendencies in the end she didn't bat and eye. For a woman that couldn't talk her actions spoke volumes. Not only did I respect her but I thoroughly enjoyed her internal monologue and just how well Mikhail could read her.
They two.. I can't. The chemistry. The sweet.. even the bickering. They had me laughing, sighing and swooning all in one. I loved them hard and rooted for their HEA.
Once again ill come back to top this up in my reread. Just read though. You won't regret!....more

I was also recommended this specific book by a very dear friend whom is very aware of my crazy mood reading tendencies. So she knows me well enough to know when something is a hell yes or a blunt absolutely not. Funny thing is I avoid mafia. Its hard to put into words all the reasons why I can really not like Mafia but safe to say it is one I tip toe into and only when it is an author I absolutely know. So colour me shookith when I get to this and devour all 8 books in less than three days.
I devoured them.
Alpha hero's - Absofuckinglutely. Kick ass heroines who are more than second class citizens- Fuck yes. Great morish side characters- Heck yes.
I loves Nina and Romans story.
Roman really is between a rock and a hard place. He's the head of the Russian Bratva and by all accounts has to present himself a certain way regardless of personal issues. That means having a wife and making sure to not show weakness. Oh I loved Roman and his sneaky cheeky ways. I love that he was infatuated with his new wife and impressed by her many faces. He despite being a very powerful man did not push boundaries or take what was not his. I love that he pushed her only for good reason and truly respected her as a person. I also love the OTT alpha possessiveness. She was the only woman in his world and I was here for it.
Nina is not your typical mafia wife. She's all kinds of weird, wakey and cunning. She held her own in a world she could of quickly become overwhelmed in and she did it her own way without loosing herself. She was strong, determined and loyal. Oh and boy did she give Roman a run for his money in every way.
These two had me hooked from the start and loving every moments all the way through. They back and forth bickering. The crazy tension and sweet moments. It all hit right.
Now I'm coming back to write this after reading all 8 books so I have a lot of feeling rattling around in my brain. So I am going to leave this here and come back when I do a re-read to top up on my thoughts and hopefully make more sense then.
But I loved this and each book gets better and better....more
