Book is just kind of dumb. The metaphor of "in the box" versus "out of the box" just isn't very good. And they use it over and over. The entire book cBook is just kind of dumb. It's an interesting group and what they do is impressive but the book was honest about the people and they themselves aren't naturally something to aspire.
I will remember the memory palace technique. I can still remember pickled garlic, cottage cheese, salmon, 6 bottles of wine, and 3 socks listening to the description of memory palace and applying it to myself.
