Mlle Lenormand is truly an anti-heroine, I thought Elise was, but Lenormand makes Elise look like a saint. It took me while to warm up to Lenormand, but by the end I totally got her. The story of Elise in book two takes to the high seas and a new land, naturally filled with excitement, danger, and misunderstanding. But, oh the romance! I loved to development of one particularly special relationship in this book. Can't wait for book three! This one ended with a..! What's going to happen next?...more

The characters are diverse and interesting with enough depth. The main character and her two internal identities create a nicely complex struggle for control.
The plot really does a good job of integrating paranormal with thriller with adult romance. It will keep you on the edge of your seat with suspense followed by a hot romance scene and then back to suspense.
