Yes there are times that she has little freak outs, but for the most part Kit is firmly on the path to healing. It is fun to see Kit push Damon to go back to "normal" for them, to push him far enough to get what she wanted. I also loved seeing Kit's jealous side come out, claiming Damon as hers. It was something that needed to be done, but even better was how Damon reacted and let her know just where she stood in his life.
The case that Kit was working on ended up to hit too close to home. To many trusted NH's crossed a line. While it seems like they stopped things for now, they didn't get the head, which means the threat is still out there. That, along with the person who entered the conversation at the end is sure to bring about intriguing things to come.

I thought this family connection would cause problems for Kit. Instead she was finally able to learn some things about her mom and how much she loved Kit as evidenced by the choice she made. I find myself very intrigued by the second fact that Kit learned, I have a feeling that this new fact will have long reaching ramifications, good ones at that.

I think a big part of that was because for most of the book Duncan was isolated from his family and his team due to a choice he made to save Random. I think it was the right choice, even with how things played out in the end. Duncan managed to find out a lot about himself, making himself stronger and knowing his limits. It was also a good choice in the big picture of things as a bad man got put out of the way, allowing another team the chance to thrive. I do like how this one ended, liked that Duncan was back home where he belonged and how he realized what he learned to do while he was away he had already been doing that, he just didn't know.
On a side note, I have to say that I LOVE, LOVE, Duncan's parents. I love how they both baby and not Duncan and how they treat Random just as they do Duncan. These two adults are why Duncan and Random are strong men and why their bond is so great!

I liked how Linc wanted to take things slow with Risa. Granted at first it was because he didn't want any woman, but later it was because it was because he knew it was because Risa needed it due to the her past. The time that Linc and Risa spent together allowed them to get to know each other, to learn that they had more in common than they realized.
I really liked how when Linc and the other Wing Hunters realized that Kendall wasn't really Risa's it didn't matter to them. They protected the child and that included the Wing Hunter.
I look forward to seeing where things go for the group from here.

While Angelika was smitten with Arik, he had big time reservations that stopped a mating between them, hurting Angelika along the way. Airk did kinda have a good reason, but they needed to talk about things, instead of his stomping away.
When push came to shove at the end, everyone had to give it their all to survive, to beat the false king. What they built in the aftermath was so much better for everyone, letting everyone live happy lives with their loves.

That's a big jump for her as until now she seemed like she hated the Beneath parts of herself.
The battles that Janet had with Emmett seemed petty, like he didn't take her seriously. I loved it when Mick got protective and let the dragon loose on Emmett, even if it did cause lots of destruction.
The big battle at the end was great! I loved how everyone worked together, how Janet saw magic in a different way, even if she needed to be reigned in before she caused harm.
One a side note, the mirror was funny, loved the ceremony that it participated in and how it seemed almost drunk with the attention.

Since he was "old" the spats that he and Sophie got in did make sense.
I loved Sophie's willingness to help Nikolas and the guys and how she cared for Robin. She could have taken then for a lot more, but instead she took what was fair. My favorites were seeing how Lucivar and Marian became a couple. It was so much fun seeing Lucivar out of his element with his feelings for her and all the missteps he took. In the end he got it right and the girl.
Zuulaman was a bit disturbing on a couple of fronts, the first is you just don't fuck with Saetan and he let the world know. The other, well, not sure how his wife could do what she did. More interesting was when Lucivar found out just what his father was capable of in Zuulaman.
The last story at the end with Daemon and Jaenelle was perfect in how it showcased all aspects of their relationships. The one really good thing in this one is that finally Daemon and Saetan learned Jaenelle didn't feel one bit bad for the choices she made and is in fact happy with her life now. Hopefully their guilt can go away now....more

The mating at the start between Kincaid and Zadie went well, she didn't freak out about learning of all the new things or what her life would be. Just jumped in and helped where needed, but especially with the kids. And boy...those kids. That about broke my heart learning about them, then learning what they went through and then towards the end meeting the moms...what happened to the dads was very deserving.
The changes with the Fae were interesting and it seems deserving. It was fun to see how everyone reacted, but it will be good for all the people.
Also very interesting was Meryn being able to see memories of her parents and herself as a child. As scary as she is as an adult, she was just as much as a kid. It also makes you wonder how she would have been had she not lost her parents. ...more

She's feels so guilty with what happened with Fenrir, even as she knows it needed to happen. It's put her in an odd headspace and with the pack and even her family. Talking with people helps, especially Niko as he's closer now to be near Dirk. Those 2 pretty much get things cleared up and a path for Niko to follow when Jacky is pulled into a secret meeting and has Niko by her side. From there things seem to move at warp speed, Jacky and her family working on the problem, while Heath is at home working on a different aspect of the issue.
It interesting how Heath figured out somethings with what he was working on. It's just too bad that it couldn't have been communicated to Jacky and her crew, it would have helped them out. Then all of sudden that didn't matter, Sachi was gone and Zanya and Ash needed to figure out a way to work together to get her back.
Things picked up a bit from here. Sachi finding herself in a heap of trouble and had to be careful how she navigated it. She found some help at times, but it was brutal until the big battle at the end.
