All is not lost though, while Alinthia was expecting to be rescued by her gorgeous protectors, other forces have been devising ways to help out all along. Not just to escape, but to assist her in learning how to use and control her powers, save her guys and carry out her destiny. But saving the galaxy has put her on a narrow path between right and wrong. Where will her choices lead her?
While Alinthia deals with the aftermath of her friend’s betrayal, she also finds new friends in unlikely places. But Coop, Beckett, Maddox and especially Dane are suffering at the clutches of their enemies and odds are they would get out unscathed.
Siobhan Davis is a stalwart of the new adult, sci-fi romances, producing nonstop exciting stories full of angst and drama. She crafts a fiery heroine who’ll do anything to protect the people she loves. Davis matches fire with fire presenting evenly fierce alpha male protectors who will suffer through the cruelest of tortures in order to keep her safe.
The Warrior Princess will trap you in its thrilling spell and put the reader through a gamut of emotions, from surprise, to laughter and sexiness, to raw sadness going to darker than expected places. I can’t wait to see how this all unfolds in the following installments.
Without being able to reveal much else so as not to spoil any one, I can say that I really enjoyed Alinthia’s ongoing training. The scenes were so vivid, I could see them clearly in my mind’s eye.
The Warrior Princess is book #3 of the Alinthia series by Siobhan Davis. It is a new adult, sci-fi reverse harem romance. Told from various points of view with a cliffhanger.

Dayra Cristescu’s life is as close to perfection as it can be. She has loving parents, friends, super cute boyfriend, is about to graduate and most likely get her dream job until she’s framed for murder. And although the authorities know it wasn’t her, they’re still asking her to the supernatural prison of Thorns.
Undercover to aid the investigation Dayra accepts the assignment to earn Vasilios’ trust under the guise of being guilty in order to gain his trust and figure out how he’s capable of wielding magic inside the blocks and wards of the prison.
But once on the inside, everything goes sideways and is truly forced to work with Vasilios in order to survive. In doing so she also learns about him. She learns to trust the man she once considered her enemy.
I loved this story and will have a book hangover for a while. I loved the world building, I could picture the entire story as a movie in my mind’s eye.
I loved Dayra’s character development. She was strong before, but after that mission she’s forced to grow. I love that she never gave up even in the direst of circumstances, especially since the danger is very, very real throughout the story which served to make it more thrilling.
As for Vasilios, I had empathized with him and his suffering in the previous book. My heart felt for him and his lost innocence all over again, but we’ll see how it turns out in the next book. All I’m saying for now is that I’m #teamVailios.
I wish I had the next book in my hands now! I can’t wait to see what happens.

Even when the narrator’s performance was good, I found this story to be a bit difficult to enjoy given that it is the continuation of a bigger plot in a series and ends with matters between the heroine and her current love interest unresolved. I also found the time jumps a bit confusing.
With all its reviews, both wonderful and some with mix feelings, I feel like I should read this series from the start.

Let me start by saying that I find reading new to me authors is a bit difficult. I’m not good with change. That also applies to new to me genres. BUT there are a select few authors I would read whatever they put out and Mimi Jean is definitely one of them.
I won’t spoil you with anything too detailed regarding the plot. I believe the blurb has enough info. But I can comment on how I felt. Which was in one word: hooked.
The story starts out mysterious and kind of spooky. Where are those voices coming from? Are they real? Is it a hallucination? What could they be? And then our heroine’s reality is flip on its axis and her life will never be the same.
I found myself racing through the story and yet wanting to slow down and enjoy every morsel of the world building. It was exciting and I even laughed more than a couple of times because Mimi is great at including Easter eggs for her readers. And even though I can’t wait to see what happens in book 2, I found myself content with where the story left off.

Dia MItchell just wanted to save enough money to buy herself a car. It should’ve been simple enough when she was hired to house sit and take care of the cutest border collie ever over the summer. She just didn’t factor in that her boss’s son would show up determined to make her quit.
Finn Richards is drop dead gorgeous. Too bad he’s coldhearted, reckless and broken. But there’s more to him that makes her want to know the boy behind all the walls.
Oh my heart! I practically read this book in a single sitting because Dia and Finn had an incredible magnetism.
Finn was clearly suffering from survivor’s guilt and abandonment because of the tragic accident that took his mother. The only way he knew how to cope was to no care about anything or anyone except his dog.
Until Dia comes along with all her sweet kindness, patience, understanding and beauty. She also doesn’t put up with his nonsense. Of course Finn initially rejects everything about her, but slowly Dia starts caring for him and helps him battle his demons.
Finn still struggles to fully give into their attraction because he feels he’s not worthy of her, but once they do give in sparks fly. Gah! I love Dia and Finn’s all-consuming and passionate romance. Eliah did an excellent job of arousing all these young/first love emotions. Including Dia’s heartbreak at the end and Finn’s hopelessness. I can’t wait to read the second part of their story!

We first meet Ethan Killian and Zeke Hutchence when they’re both sixteen years old and put into a youth program where they can learn among other things that they love music and excel at it. After being introduced to tucker, Hannah, and Patrick, they form Sinners of Seattle, which would quickly become a world famous rock band.
Since their teenage years both Zeke and Ethan know they’re bi-sexual and are attracted to each other. But unlike Zeke who has no problem admitting his sexuality, Ethan will never openly acknowledge it. Something that will bring them, especially Zeke a world of hurt.

Burgoa captured my attention right from the start with that foreboding prologue. Zeke and Ethan’s story took me on an emotional roller coaster, it is heartbreaking and compelling and left me wanting the next book ASAP.

Cosway keeps adding to her world of supernaturals with shocking twists, a whole lot of action and of course a sexy and swoony romance.
The book’s exciting tone is set from the start. There’s trouble in Tribane on all fronts. Everyone wants control. The vampire Governor Whitfield, Theodore the sorcerer even the Dhampir Governor Pamprock wants to control the city. No one is willing to negotiate and Tegan is right in the middle and there’s never a dull moment.
I love how Tegan has grown and has come into her own. She’s learned a bit more about her magic and her ancestry. She’s also resolved her feelings about Ethan even though he’s likely never to forgive her betrayal. But the tension between them is palpable nonetheless.
The secondary characters give the story a wonderful added layer. I can’t get enough of Finn and Ira, but Rita also plays a very special part in this installment.
L.H. Cosway absolutely know how to hook a reader. I practically devoured this book which flew by quickly. And even though it ends with a cliffhanger, I loved the moment and way it ended. The conclusion can’t come fast enough.
Witching Hour is book #3 of the Blood Magic series by L.H. Cosway. It's told from Tegan’s point of view with a cliffhanger ending. Genres: Paranormal Romance

➵➵ L.H. Cosway skillfully pens a hooking story about a woman whose life will never be the same after the night she met the mysterious Ethan Cristescu.
➵ Heroine: Tegan was merely surviving at a dead-end job when Ethan saved her from an armed robber. But when she runs into him again at a nightclub, she’s introduced to a paranormal world she only thought existed in books. I really liked her personality. She’s sassy and sarcastic and faces life head on.
➵ Hero: Ethan has all the traits I like in a hero. He’s protective, caring, strong, tender with a great sense of humor. He’s enigmatic, but doesn’t hesitate to show his appreciation, care and attraction towards Tegan.
“Your heart beats so fast,” he sighed like it was somehow devastating and his minty breath washed over me. “Can I kiss you?”
➵ Sexiness: This being a four book series, I like that even though Ethan is strongly attracted to Tegan, their relationship is developed organically. She’s intrigued by him, but doesn’t truly know him and is cautious. Yet, like I mentioned before, Ethan was not shy to show his fascination towards Tegan which is absolutely sexy.
“Keep looking at me like that and you’ll be in trouble,” he whispered in a sultry voice. “Can I keep you?”
➵ Plot: L.H. Cosway creates a wonderful new paranormal world I absolutely got lost in. While Tegan’s life is turned upside down after discovering vampires, dhampirs, vampire slayers, witches and warlocks exist, she’s further shaken by the mystery behind her uniqueness. Add a storm brewing in the paranormal community and you’ve got one very exciting read.
➵ Feels: This is a great series starter. It’s fast paced read, with well-developed characters, both main and secondary and an interesting plot that plays out like a movie with its vivid descriptions.

➵ Plot: After being forced to leave her home town and everyone she cared about, Tegan decides to come back to help find a little girl who’s been kidnapped by vampires. But in order to do so she must face and deceive Ethan. Can she locate the girl and get away with the lie or will she fail or worse yet loose Ethan’s trust forever?
➵ Heroine: Tegan continues to grow stronger in body and mind. She discovers aspects about herself and her past and I continue loving her attitude towards life, always facing it head on even when it presents incredible difficulties.
“I didn’t realize how dark it was the last few months until you walked into the club tonight and lit up the entire room.”
➵ Hero: Ethan continues to show his feelings towards Tegan and I love him even more for it. But I have to wonder if they’ll ever be able to be together?
➵ Feels: I loved every single moment of this book, from the drama and heartache, mystery and suspense, and of course the relationship development between Tegan and Ethan.
“I long for the day when I don’t want you anymore, lumina mea. Perhaps then, I’ll have the courage to walk away.”
I really enjoyed reading about the secondary characters from the previous book, the shift in dynamics was interesting and had an important impact on the plot. I won’t say much about Wolf, only that I loved his addition.
As with the previous book, this story was gripping and leapt off the pages with its descriptions and left me craving for more.

All her life Finley Porter had believed there was something wrong with her because of her propensity to see what she thought where hallucinations. For many years she managed to control and ignore them living a normal life with her three roommates and loving her work as a coffee shop manager. Until the night her twin sister introduced her to the most power man in Seattle.

But he sensed Finley was extraordinarily different the moment he laid eyes on her. With a vested interest in having Finely know about the paranormal world she has a special connection to, Carrik ventures into a business partnership with her while teaching all about Light and Dark fae. But can she really trust him?
Sawyer Bennett provides an original and intriguing story that was impossible to put down. It combined history, myths, and even a bit Peter Pan fairy tale fantasy. The world building and characters leapt out of the page and came alive with skilled writing and a plot that had me captivated and salivating for the next installment of the series.

While the familiar Seattle setting contrasted wonderfully with the otherworldly beings, it was the rich character development that captured my attention. Finley is a kick@$$ heroine. She’s brave and strong and proved to be more the tough enough to deal with Carrik’s arrogant and intimidating demeanor.
Despite having a few glimpses of Carrik’s point of view, he remains a complete mystery I can’t wait to be revealed to us.
