Era imposible fallar teniendo dos figuras tan icónicas como Mariana Enríquez y Lucas Nine. En lo que respecta al contenido creativo de los dos artistas, solo tengo halagos y aplausos, pues hicieron todo bien. Terminé el comic con ganas de releer la antología de Mariana, porque han pasado 84 años desde la última vez que lo leí, y siento que hoy en día disfrutaría aún más esos relatos, que fueron mi bienvenida a su mundo literario. Desde ese entonces no pude dejar de leerla, y se convirtió en una de mis autoras contemporáneas favoritas. En tanto a Lucas Nine, tuve la suerte de conocer su arte gracias a un cómic antológico sobre los relatos de Horacio Quiroga, y quedé muy intrigada. Es una alegría volverlo a encontrar en una obra como esta.
Por último, aunque sea un poco exquisito, no quería dejar compartir algunos pensamientos sobre el ejemplar físico en sí. Lo básico, y lo que noté a simple vista: es bastante corto. Me hubiera encantado disfrutar de más relatos, porque creo que tanto la adaptación del texto como las ilustraciones se amalgamaron perfectamente, y me quedé con ganas de ver/leer más (de pura manija, igual). La edición es rústica y un poco frágil, hubiera estado copado contar con una edición en tapas duras, aunque entiendo que eso hace encarecer la obra (lo cual sería totalmente entendible). Más allá de todo esto, que son nimiedades y comentarios de una obse de los libros, y no quejas como tal, fue un placer absoluto volver a estas historias, disfrutarlas en un formato completamente distinto. Esta es una historia corta inspirada en una leyenda tirolesa, reversionada y con un final mucho más dulce que el original, mucho más enfocado en el valor de la amistad. Tenía expectativas altas con esta antología gráfica, pero sinceramente no la disfruté mucho. Es cierto que hay una linda variedad de autores e ilustradores, arte único y destacable para cada título. También tópicos o subgéneros dentro del horror que son poco mencionados en términos generales Pero algunas historias me resultaron confusas, sin un desarrollo apropiado. Realmente me gustó mucho esta novela gráfica. Intenta darle un por qué a la afición que algunos sentimos por el true crime, qué es lo que despierta tanta curiosidad, entre tanta cosa morbosa. Este título es una mezcla entre novela gráfica, biografía, guía sobre el true crime y algunos de sus casos más icónicos. Me gustó, porque si bien habla mucho sobre esos casos, también le aporta su lado más personal y cómico a un tema tan controvertido....more

De hecho, el comic lo conocí gracias a los lectores de mi grupo en Goodreads (Lectores de la Cripta), y decidí darle una oportunidad. Realmente valió la pena, fue una lectura de lo más estremecedora y cruel en todos los sentidos. Este comic documenta la vida del famoso asesino serial Jeffrey Dahmer, a través de los ojos de su amigo de la infancia. Es una oportunidad para volver a repensar muchas cosas sobre su caso, sobre todo los indicios que se iban presentando sobre la personalidad desequilibrada de Dahmer, sus tendencias a lo mortuorio y lo enfermizo.
Tanto el comic como la película me parecieron increíbles, sobre todo porque más allá de mostrarse algunos rasgos violentos de su perfil como asesino (como el maltrato animal), el libro no es morboso en sí. De aquí no se desprenden los sucesos que lo llevaron a obtener 15 cadenas perpetuas consecutivas, sino el lado B de un niño y adolescente que adolece por sus pensamientos más perversos....more

Se trata de una recopilación de tres historias de la época dorada, durante los años 30 de Mickey, que fue hecha en una edición bellísima en honor a sus 90 años. Las ilustraciones vintage son absolutamente preciosas, y dentro de todo el mundo Disney, la época del antiguo Mickey es mi favorita. Creo que el comic es ideal para fanáticos de Disney, y para chicos que recién comienzan con los comics. Las tres historias son sumamente entretenidas, pero mi favorita fue obviamente "Los siete fantasmas". Una lectura rápida y nostálgica, hizo feliz a mi niña interior....more
