The hero was the perfect mix of alpha and sweet. The heroine was strong but not unrealistically so, and I loved how her past relationship didn't influence her taking a chance on the H. Which it very well could have and IMO understandably so.
This is our heroine: "The world doesn’t stop, and neither will we." I love that! And this is our hero. “Anahi and Eddie, you are my moon and my star, and your mother is my sun. Together, you make my world. I love you.” *Big sigh*
I really liked everything about this story, and while it's a novella, it's a long one, and I didn't feel cheated. The story was complete right down to its long HEA epilogue.

I've been 5 Bruin stars I want to live in Heather R Blair's head. I know for a fact, I'd never be bored. Take, for example, A Curious Twist of Lime. I've been waiting a long time for Georg's story—ever since I first met him in Sixpence & Whiskey (Toil & Trouble Book 1). I had no idea what to expect, I just knew I was going to love it, because HELLO, this is Heather R Blair. But as much as I knew I'd enjoy it, I also should have remembered that Heather never fails to surprise me. Like a twist of lime, this story had one I didn't see coming. Though there was a lot of dastardly deeds afoot, at its heart is the love story between Georg and Alice. And reading their story unfold, I fell in love with Georg and gained a lot of respect for Alice. Some cameos from a few key players were a bonus, too. And while I'm sad to see the series end, I'm also happy in knowing I can go back at any time and immerse myself in the vividly wonderful world of FTCs that Heather R Blair created.

It had a FCH vibe but with a different, totally awesome story. Loved all the side characters. I pretty much just loved everything about it and can't wait for the next instalment. ...more

I'm so happy I did. I finished it this morning and have been thinking about it all day. I almost don't want to start another book and ruin the high from this one... Please note I said almost LOL. Anyway, I loved it. It was a realistically believable, heartbreakingly beautiful story. I really felt for the heroine and truly understood why she gave the hero a second chance....more

For my birthday, Heather R Blair surprised me with an early copy of Clean To the Bone, a contemporary romance set in the world of art with the backdrop of thievery and revenge. You guys know I won't bullshit you, so when I say I loved this book, you know I really did. It was different and sexy with just the right amount of everything to keep me turning pages until the end. It is a duet but the second book will be about the H's twin sister—which I'm dying to read because the hero for that book is super yummy—so we're not left with a cliffhanger just a set-up for the next book. It releases July 12th, but it's up for a special preorder price of 1.99 so grab it now because the price will go up. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DMQWVBY...more

Oh, I know we'll see them in the side characters' books to come—which I'm really excited about BTW—we all know it won't be the same. Good thing I can go back and reread one of my favorite couples of all times over and over again.
For though who haven't read this series, IMO it's a must read.
For Suzanne Wright, a heartfelt plea... Please give us Asher's story.
