My heart is not a game piece, to be played and discarded at will!
The beginning was great. Although it took awhile for me to warm up to Cath but oh my dear girl. The ending was definitely Heartless. I've read some reviews and have to agree that it was slow in some parts. Repetitive, almost.
But hoping, is how the impossible can be possible after all.
I felt like things would have been different if she stood up for herself earlier, if she was to pursue her dreams and what her heart wanted. But her parents were difficult people, urgh.
Jest, oh my lovely fool. I quite liked him from the start! So charming and magical. Oh and mysterious too! 🤭
The King was an idiot. So annoying!
(view spoiler)[Mary-Anne, I definitely felt betrayed and hurt by her. Towards the end I felt Cath's hatred towards her, she meant well but not sure it was her place to tell the secret. (hide spoiler)]
It is a dangerous thing to unbelieve something only because it frightens you

This book was hard to put down at times and sometimes it was hard to get into. It's also both terrifying and interesting.
Jonathan Stuart. A bookshop owner who lives in Pasadena. He has a girlfriend, his own apartment, his own business. He was pretty happy with his life until he came upon 2 artefacts that he inherited. A saber and an ancient memoir.
One day Stuart ends up in Neverland and he thinks he knows who did it.
This a story of a man who finds himself in another place and is pretty much trapped. Does he stay and play the game with Pan or lose his sanity in finding a way out? But what is the way out?
A retelling of the story of Peter Pan, the boy who doesn't grow up, in Captain James Hook's POV. For those who have read JM Barrie's Peter Pan will never look at that story the same again (in a good way!)
This retelling was a great read. It kept me wanting to know more. Kind of horrific to be honest but it's great...more
