That took time to find the volumes and clear my reading list to read them. The Sin du Jour series needs to be read in order for events to make sense, so start with The Envy of Angels and work your way up. That said, I found Gluttony Bay to be a bit disappointing. It felt like a filler novella between Greedy Pigs and Taste of Wrath. There is a cool rescue, but the setup seems hurried and not as organic as in other volumes. Still a necessary read for the series.

While in Japan, hiding out from her mother, Nikki learns that what she writes happens out in the real world. Soon she and her friends are involved in figuring out what is happening and then how to stop a vengeful goddess from destroying everything. A fun romp in Japan with ghosts, gods and goddesses, secret societies and a very strange power that helps guide the story to a satisfying conclusion. Glad I am finally winnowing down my to read pile and read this title.

He has hired Tamsyn Bligh (who was in The Kiss Curse) to acquire various items for him. Declan got Bowen and invitation to his former fiance's wedding at a house in the wilds of Wales at Yuletide. Tamsyn had accepted a job acquiring a particular gaudy brooch for a million dollars. So both are surprised to see the other. And then when they are whisked back to 1957, they have to figure out what is going on and how to fix what needs to be fixed so they can get back to their present. A fun, short read that completes the trilogy. It will be interesting if Erin Sterling sets any more stories in this universe.

The second curse involves his apprentices, all have died, the seventh one choking on a raisin scone. So Al and Buck Foi, a hobgoblin contracted to work with Al, are on a quest. But they also need to deal with the Morrigan, an Irish death goddess, who has come back from the dead last book and decided to change her profession. Then there is Nadia, a battle seer and co-worker at Al's print shop. She and Buck are in the process of bring the deity Lhurnog into being which could have big consequences. So Al has his hands full! It is interesting how Kevin Hearne is working on bringing all the Iron Druid characters into a more peaceful state. This volume provides a good closure to this series, but I wonder if he will every decide to continue writing more tales set in this universe with other characters. I hope so!

But after she joins the Magical Girl Union, the Magical Girl of Time manifests elsewhere. So what is our heroine to do and why does Ah Roa still wants to hang out with her? With gods coming to town to vacation as mortals, vampires and werewolves serving as first responders, and the Rhubarb Festival this weekend, Delaney does not need the distraction of an ex-boy friend and a middle school crush interfering with her duties.
