Beauty and the Greek Billionaire was just the book I was in the mood for. Sometimes you just need those kind of cliche'd tropes and that's what I was looking for. The story brings up the virgin heroine with over-protective brother and growly billionaire hero and I found it immensely enjoyable. Was it predictable at times? Yes. Did I mind that? Not one bit. The story had a good pace and kept me intrigued with every turn of the page, and the characters were both likable.
Nico was definitely a beast in this book but he was able to redeem himself and I liked seeing that character growth. Marianna also came out of her shelf some in the story, which I enjoyed seeing as well. By the end I was very happy with how they were able to come together under some tough circumstances and it also made for a very good finish to the book.
Bottom line, this is a book I would recommend without a doubt. I think if you're a fan of a bossy and arrogant hero than this is a story you need to pick up and read.

Rise is the first book in the Rise & Fall duet but we previously met these characters in the Crash & Burn duet. Lincoln NOW LIVE! Amazon US * Amazon UK
Rise is the first book in the Rise & Fall duet but we previously met these characters in the Crash & Burn duet. Lincoln was kind of a mystery in the previous books and I honestly wasn't sure what I would think of him as a main character. But I was certainly interested in finding out and I actually ended up really liking him.
We got to learn a lot more about Lincoln in this book and there were many surprising moments with how sweet he turned out to be. Which then had me loving Lexie when she didn't give in to his charm right away and made him work for it. They had so many cute moments with their banter back and forth and the playful way they interacted. I also adored Eric, Lexie's brother, and I think he won my heart the most.
That cliffhanger though! So not nice, I need to find out what happens right away. Overall, this was a great story and I definitely recommend reading it.

There really needs to be more books with Heroes that have kids, because it does things to me. Glorious things, including the melting of my ovaries. Jared was so adorable with Logan, and I loved how he even started to learn sign language for him. It made me like Jared way more than I thought possible.

Jared and Callie were good together and I liked when we finally got to see them happy with one another. It wasn't an easy journey they had to travel to get to that point, but it was a great one to read about. I enjoyed seeing how they were trying to fight the attraction, but couldn't.
Overall, I enjoyed Jared and Callie's story and I would recommend it for anyone that likes a friends to lovers story, and seeing a hot Hero with his cute little boy. Don't get me wrong, Callie was a wonderful mom to Logan, but Jared was the parent that was almost too cute to handle.

Alina and Jay intrigued me just as much as the suspenseful parts of their story did and I really enjoyed getting to learn more about them. Their romance was really good and I liked how it blended with the more suspenseful moments of the book.
I liked how the romance between characters blended with the mysterious parts and I thought it was a good combination where one part didn't take over the other. The story kept me intrigued with the characters and had me captivated by them as well as their story.
Overall, this is a book I would definitely recommend. I think it could be read without being caught up on the series since I've only read the previous book and had no problem or moments of confusion.

First, I just need to give a little nod to this title. Illicit is absolutely perfect for this couple and it made me smile like an idiot when I read the beginning of the book
"She's like an illicit drug formulated just for me. That's the difference between illegal versus illicit. Illegal is forbidden by law. Illicit is just forbidden."
Rocco deserved so much and I loved getting to see him finally accepting that he has family and room to love the perfect woman for him. The forbidden aspects to their relationship just helped to prove just how deserving they were of each other and it left me on the edge of my seat at every page turn.
Look, it's a romance book, we know they're going to get together. But Ms. Asher had the perfect amount of waiting time and made me so excited to see just what would finally push these characters over to the point that they can't hold back from each other any longer. It had me captivated and I loved that little bit of suspense of waiting to see what was going to happen and also how other characters would react.
Overall, I'm so sad to see this series end but I'm really excited to see what this author has in store for us next and how these characters may make more appearances down the line....more

The Texas Murder Files has been an easy series for me to feel captivated by and with every addition to this world I feel more immersed in the lives of the characters. Nicole as a main character has definitely been one of my favorites and I really enjoyed getting to learn more about her. She had an assuredness about her that made her character feel badass which was so fun to see on page. And the tension that was between her and Emmet made this already gripping tale all the more intriguing.
The mix of mystery and romance was done very well in my opinion and left me wanting more with every turn of the page. Emmet had a protectiveness that I found to be really hot especially when he knew the right moments to let Nicole handle herself. Overall, he and Nicole had a fun relationship that blended well between the detective work and it made this an enjoyable read.

Brynne Asher takes the single dad trope and makes it her bitch. First Cam from Athica Lane *insert swoon here* and now Asa in all his badass glory. My ovaries just can't handle all this hotness!

Asa and Kellie were absolutely amazing together and they may actually be my favorite couple from this series. Kellie had a lot of hang-ups and was content to live her life with only her two kids, rundown house, and a yard full of farm animals to worry about. Then Asa came along an didn't give her a choice but to make room in her life for him and his kids. I loved that pushiness of his. It wasn't in an arrogant way at all and when he put himself in her life it was actually very sweet. You could tell he really cared about Keelie and also that she was scared but did care about Asa too, and that's what made me love them as a couple so much.
There was a lot of suspense and questions throughout the story as well that captivated me. It's honestly not that often that I can be truly surprised or left in the dark while reading but this book was able to leave me scratching my head. Even when I was positive I knew what was going on I was then proved wrong and I loved that so much.
This book could be read as a standalone but to get the full effect of of Asa and all the secondary characters I think all three books should be read together. This book is a huge recommend from me and I think any lover of the single dad trope will enjoy this one.

This is one of the grittier books that Brynne Asher has done and I really liked that it pushed some boundaries. I wouldn't say it was dark, but for some it could toe the line. I honestly had no idea what to expect from the story and it kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. The more secrets that were revealed the more I had to guess what would happen next, and just how far some characters would go. I loved the reading experience for that and I never wanted to sit this book down.
I won't say much more, and I personally am usually not a fan of vague reviews, but I think for this book it really is best to go in blind. The suspense added with the intense chemistry between the characters was really fun. I know this will definitely be a book I re-read many times.

If you want a book that grips you so tight you don't even want to try and get away, pick this one. King and Goldie's romance might not have had the best start with the lies and subterfuge but they way these two worked through everything...amazing. I loved seeing them together and Goldie was such a polite badass I couldn't get enough of her. She might have been sweet and soft spoken at times but that did not mean she lacked the back bone to go up against King. It made for the best banter and I couldn't help but smile at their interactions. Not even just them, King and team together had me giggling like a crazy person too and it's always so entertaining to see these men interact together like a bunch of gossiping schoolgirls.

This reminded me of one of those hallmark style mysteries where the romance is more subtle and at times pushed to the background. Which I'm not saying is a bad thing, but for me as a romance reader it was a little disappointing to see some very good opportunities to add a little bit of something extra between the characters go to waste.
But I did enjoy the overall story and I really liked getting to see the more action-y aspects of it. Dove was an intriguing character for me since she was clearly very smart but could also be naive at times when it came to trying her hand at being a spy and I thought that was actually pretty intriguing. Ransom is the first book in Laramie Briscoe's new series, LSERT, but if you're a fan of this author and have read her MTF series then you'll recognize some of the characters. Ransom and Stella have known each other for years but it's not until they're all grown up that they started seeing each other as more than friends. And when Ransom finally made his move with Stella the chemistry between them shot through the roof.
I really enjoyed these two together and how easy their relationship was. Not saying that they didn't have their ups and downs at times, especially with Ransom working with Stella's dad, but they came together almost flawlessly. There wasn't any angst or drama keeping them apart and instead they moved from the friend zone to more with only a little nervousness, and for me that just made it evident that they really did belong together. It was also a bonus that Ransom was a K9 handler and we got to see some really fun moments with his dog/partner.
I would definitely say this book can be read as a standalone but I do think that it would be helpful to understand the secondary characters that are mentioned if you know where they come from. Even having read the MTF series, and since my memory is pretty shitty, I had moments that I was a little confused who everyone was and where they connected to the original MTF gang. But it's not actually necessary to read those book first. Overall, I would recommend reading this book if you like a sexy officer who is adorably close with his dog.

Cruise follows Caleb, the son of Mason from the previous book in this series. Jumping some time into the future Caleb is now all grown up and apart of the MTF. I really liked that we got to see his as a mature man and not freshly out of college, I thought it gave more depth to him that he was so at the point in his life where he was sure about what he wanted. Especially when it came to Ruby, he was ready to go all in without any hesitation and I liked that connection they shared that made him so sure.
This story was just a super easy and lighthearted read. I don't mean east in a bad way, just that there wasn't a ton of drama or angst thrown in and instead this author delivered us an amazing couple that kept me intrigued by themselves alone, nothing else needed. I adored both Caleb and Ruby and liked getting to see them together. I thought they suited each other perfectly and it was great to see Ruby be so understanding about Caleb's job.
Overall, this was a brilliant book that I would definitely recommend to anyone that wan't to enjoy two characters that have amazing chemistry. I'm having a really difficult time trying to find the words to write this review right now because I honestly just have no clue how I feel. I'm very conflicted between those parts that I enjoyed and the parts that I didn't enjoy as much.
To start off with the not so good, I'll just say that there were moments and longer parts of the story that had me scratching my head in confusion. Not by what was happening but more of a confusion as to why that scene or section was relevant to the story or characters. And it seemed to keep happening where there were these lulls in story and it would just be Archer and Quinn living a normal life with nothing happening to grab my attention. It made the book seem a little long for me and it dragged so much sometimes that it got boring. One of the more noticeable moments like this was the whole Dean's Wedding thing that would be brought up but then nothing would come of it. As in it didn't exactly add a drama or conflict to the story so it made me question why it was being mentioned or shown so much. And as a random side note to that, I completely hate Kara.
But, and here's the good part of this review, this couple as a whole still kept me intrigued. I really liked Quinn and Archer together and it was fun to see them more confident in their relationship than they were in the first book. I thought it was great that we got to see how they were moving forward together and it made reading this book completely worth it.
So overall I did have some issues with the pace and some side characters being brought in a little too much, but in the end I did like reading the story. The duet is one I would recommend and I can't wait to read more from this family.

Cruel Master is the second installment and conclusion of the Sinister Arrangement series. This story opens up with our characters 5 years older, especially our heroine who did a lot of growing up and maturing in her time away from her husband. Angel was by far my favorite character in this book and I really liked seeing the differences in her personality compared to how she was in the first book. I also really enjoyed seeing Gavin's reaction to finding out just how strong his runaway bride was.
The one downside for me was the pacing. The entire first half was little more than smut in my opinion and it made me really impatient to see Angel and Gavin figure out some of their problems. Not that the smutty BDSM scenes were bad, they were just overly abundant and sometimes took away from the story.
As a series though I really enjoyed reading about these characters and I could definitely see myself coming back and reading their story all over again. ARC kindly provided in exchange for an honest review....more

Beneath Dark Waters is the second book in Karen Rose's New Orleans series and brings readers back to the world of Broussard Investigations. With a lot of familiar faces the story takes us on the journey of an attempted kidnapping, high profile court cases, and the attraction between a bodyguard, and her client.
The story moved at a fast pace and gave us a lot of different players in the game. I really enjoyed the mystery aspect and trying to figure out just what was going to happen before it did. I liked that there were a lot of different parts to the story that came together and connected different pieces of the puzzle. It never felt like too much going on for me even though there were a lot of different things happening at once and even some of the past coming forward and being connected to new parts of the case.
Bottom line, this was a great addition to Ms. Rose's world and another story that I heavily enjoyed by her. I can't wait to see what else New Orleans will give us.

From now on when people ask me why Mary Burton is a go-to author for me, I'm pointing them to this book. The mystery and suspense was done so well in my opinion and I loved the slower build up that the story had. We're left with so many questions from the very first page and it had me captivated. Some things I did guess at pretty easily but that actually just made the bigger shocking scenes all the better. I'd think I knew what was happening and where the story would lead and then Ms. Burton would prove me wrong in the most mind blowing way.
The book follows Lane McCord after her getaway trip with her new boyfriend turns deadly. Getting to see the story through Lane's eyes and try and figure out what had happened on her vacation was really fun. The storyline weaved through old secrets that haunted the small beach town and new mysteries that led to some shocking discoveries. Every character introduced had me wondering if they were the bad guy or part of the mystery, even Lane herself, and it had me on the edge of my seat waiting for answers.
I do have a lot to say about this story but I think I'll leave it at that for now so I don't spoil anything. Overall, I really enjoyed getting to experience this book and it's one that I wish I could read for the first time all over again. But also one that I will definitely be re-reading now that I have all the answers to see if I can figure out where the clues were that I missed.

There was also a lot more thrown in about the evil they were both fighting and I found that to be captivating. It had Isaac and Rori's relationship taking a back seat at times but it worked really well with the story. And their connection was so evident that it could stand to take less focus which I liked a lot.
Overall, I'd definitely recommend reading this series and now I can't wait to see what will be next from this author. I have some characters introduced in this duet that I'm dying to get my hands on so I hope we'll get to see more of them....more
