While trying to manage at all, saying no obviously is not in her vocabulary.
There were a few situations that made me just say who in the hell would run their business this way. But the overall feel of the book with the fun humorous situations and her heart-melting brothers-in-law made this book an exciting read.
The author managed to capture the sexual tension perfectly in the story. Rachel always thought she didn’t care for her ex brother-in-law but in reality, he was freaking hot, and once again she couldn’t say no.
Fire up that passion and the sexy situations and you’ve got a story that is tough to put down. In fact, I read it all in one sitting!
The author grabs us with her mom moments perfectly scattered throughout. With family relationships such as they are, and the delicate balancing act of trying to manage a romance with two 8-year-olds, it’s a story you can completely understand and you will find yourself cheering them on.
A sweet, sexy, and steamy story with a crazy lifestyle and a wonderful ending!

I tried to balance them out so I could make sense with this review. Even through that process, one thing remained perfectly clear and that was I felt no connection between the characters.
I often found myself asking why Talia was even with him. She did not like what he did for a living. She hated having to be around gambling and held it against him through out the story. She held on to her past too tightly and could not let go of what her father did.
I liked Casey a lot in this story. He was upfront, honest, and truly cared for her. He went out of his way to be with her and protect her in all things. He was super sexy, fun and inventive, and generally a good guy.
There was plenty of humorous parts to this story that added a lot of levity. If the author had focused more on the fun side of Talia and the potential hotness premise of this story, oops I slept with my new boss, I may have felt different about her and the overall feeling about this story.
As it was, I felt little burning chemistry between the two because she was too focused on the negatives. The story was good, but I think the author missed the mark in several areas to make this a great read.

This novella was fabulous read. I love Jake and Alexa together. He is so damn perfect of a character; definitely hot and spicy and he will get your temperature rising.
She is a typical female FBI agent that doesn’t want to admit when she needs help but is grateful for it when Jake agrees to help with her latest case.
Secretly she’s has a mad crush on him and he on her. He’s been by biding his time for months and when they finally meet over this suspect their sparks do more than fly. They explode.
Another great addition to her Alpha Crew series with this fast-paced novella. My only regret is that Griffin chose not to make it full length. I just wanted more of them together. Explosive characters. Attention grabbing and an overall exciting read.

However, I must say that I really encourage people to look beyond that and allow the author to tell her story in the best way she feels she can. Her character development of Jake truly made this book what it is.
Pauls develops two characters that are truly amazing together. One who is sweet and trusting and has a heart of gold. The other who is beaten down, has no self-worth but has a love in his heart that’s beyond expression.
Together they have a fiery and explosive love that no one can touch.
Pauls is a gifted writer who has the amazing ability to delve into the psyche of human nature and bring a story that is rift with emotions, all the highs and lows, and the amazing gift of true love.

It’s very rare that we get a book with a female veteran, but oh, what a refreshing character and story this turned out to be.
There’s so many issues that the author calls out that are important to women. Women business owners, struggling with PTSD, finding your niche in a male-dominated world/business, finding comfort with who you are, trusting again, forgiveness, and so many more. Whisler blends these hot topics into the story in such a beautiful manner and with true compassion.
The author also has done a great job with the character development and allowing her characters to be real people with great relationships and beautiful friendships. Plus, the dog lovers in the world are really going to fall in love with the paw patrol characters. I need Wyatt in my life!
Forever Home winds you up with a mixture of so many feelings. Whisler takes us from raw to sweet, emotional to stoic, heartbroken to happy. This is a book that will leave you with dreams of Sean while cheering them on for days! I so need an epilogue!

I definitely have mixed feelings about this book. I read the first book of the series Her Survivor and I was definitely looking forward to more in this series. I love the theme of the military heroes with the romantic suspense aspect of the series. This book has a lot of pluses and some of minuses for me.
I can totally relate to the PTSD aspects of the story and the whole series focus as I live with someone who has many of these issues depicted. I can also grasp the Insta love aspect of the story because I have lived it many ways. Those suffering with the effects of tramatic injury want so desperately to fit in and feel love and be loved. So I get it.
I really love the character of Reese. He is so super sweet. And Piper is a great addition to the story. Gina, on the other hand, I didn't care for her sometimes, especially in time of stress. Plus I think her injuries were not depicted with the depth that is probably evident in survivors like her.
Some of my issues with this stem from how fast the book progressed. I think that in many ways the author was in too much of a hurry to tell the story and there were parts that could've been developed to make it more believable.
I really hated how obvious the foreshadowing was. As soon as the "issues" that the team was going to be dealing with, I knew exactly what was going to happen. That to me is kind of a bummer.
Overall, I love the story and the series. The guys on the team and their surrounding support characters are lovely people. So in that aspect the book is a pleasure to read, which is where the 4 star bump comes from.
I do look forward to more in the series because the author has tapped into a great plot and storyline. I just hope she gets better at a little bit more development in critical areas that can make or break a reading experience for someone.

The text background is dark gray with light gray text which was so hard on my eyes. My default font comes out as italics on my Kindle so I had to change the font to try and find one that might work. It made it tough for me to power-read through this one, making me sad.
The book itself was a great read. I really loved the male main character (MMC). He was sweet and kind most of the time, and I loved how they interacted. Let me tell you, this book is steamy throughout most of the story.
The female main character was great as well, until she did the thing I hate the most in the book, she lied and ran. Ugh. I get it. It helped the story flow and developed the fire, passion, and a bit of angst. Jones is great at building that fire and passion, trust me. I have devoured so many of her books.
My Enemy, My Obsession is a great story until the author decided to throw in the ridiculous ending she went with on a cliffhanger, of course.
Regardless, my favorite part of this story is Ethan. He is actually awesome and I cannot wait to read the rest of the series.

It was Slow to start but got pretty good along the way. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I have to say I have a bit of mixed feelings for this book. It was very slow to start for me. Loads of detail and tip toes around the fact the 2 men even had a inkling of like for each other. I actually thought about not completing the book a time or two.
Some of the story was a bit boring, with the subplot of thievery going on in the house, and the very slow to grow "like" by the guys. I also think I missed parts of the story as to why a group of strangers could simply stay for weeks at a home. That was answered much later in the book, but confusing to me at the time.
Once you put past the weirdness of the visitors and focus on the growing acceptance between the two guys, the story warmed up for me. I did enjoy the unfolding and tepid friendship that grew. The longing that they had for another become bolder, but it took a long time and we were only given glimpses here and there.
While the author did a good job with the facts and ventured in to a "forbidden" subject given the time frame, I really felt no connection to any of the characters. The guys fought the attraction for too long and I was missing the fierce, breath sucking "need" for each other that makes a fabulous read.

This book started off hot and did not let up. I am not saying this book was all about sex. It wasn't, but the hotness level peaks every time Marco comes in the room. MMmm
A bit of family drama and some tender feelings tend to get in the way, but this story is a spicy read with the right about of heat balanced throughout. Another great one by Ms. Falcone.

So I did lose track in terms of what was going on at the end of the last book. Thankfully, the author also included enough hints and tips to keep that flow between the books going.
What I enjoyed so much about this particular story was the great character, Max, and the way he interacted with other people—especially his love interest.
He was so sweet and charming. A little bit grumpy but a kind, hard-working person. It was really refreshing to see him develop and grow in this story.
With the addition of a “brand new family“, some of his interactions with other characters could’ve been negative. However, the author kept him lighthearted and a sweetheart. There were times that he was wary and untrusting, but that’s to be expected.
Another great part of the story is the interaction between his new family members and his love interest. It was heartwarming to see him grow and it just made for an awesome story.
I love this series so much. I could keep gushing all day. Bybee writes with style and magic weaving through her words. You become one with the story and you won’t forget it.
If you’ve never read this author before, one, what are you waiting for? And two, start with this series. It’s a little fun, a little weird, and wacky because who inherits millions without any knowledge? But also you get to see the characters grow.
The Forgotten One is definitely a five-star read for me and I truly cannot wait to read the next installment.

For one the main characters happen to know each other extremely well and both actually have crushes on each other, but who knew! Keeping it professional is mandatory!
It’s fun to watch them slowly come in to the realization that they could and would be a great fit and are actually perfect for each other.
While we know about her heated crush since she was a teenager, it seemed a bit abrupt with Garth’s realization or admittance of the fact he has been infatuated for years. But once he admitted it to himself and opened that door, he became very upfront and embraced a seemingly short relationship with Regan.
The Wife He Needs is easy to read with minimal angst! Just missing that special touch and better flow in some spots.
With a fabulous exotic locale we get to experience plus some hot and spicy connections between the two, this story is perfect to warm us up on a chilly winter’s day.

There are so many things to love about this book. For me, much of it was that the main character and her sisters all have very unique gifts. Another thing I love is that while the sisters are together quite a bit, this story focuses more on the relationship between Teal and Carter. Thank goodness! There have been many similar books I have read that put most of the conversations and focus on family stuff and the romance is secondary.
The author is gifted at spinning a tale that is believable yet offers the fantasy aspects we are looking for. The plot is unique and interesting. It is a tough story to put down because Gilliland writes in such an addictive manner.
I love the connection between the two main characters. We get all of the spice and heat, plus the added bonus they were besties in the past which means a special bond and connection.
Lightning in Her Hands is a great choice for a trope-filled romance with a fantasy and paranormal romance twist.

Fun fake date trope but her sisters are jerks. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The easiest way to review this anthology is to break it into two pieces.
The first book, Just a Few Fake Kisses, is by Lee and it is a part of a series, but definitely can be read as a standalone.
Lee is well known for her contemporary romance stories, and she delivers a winner with this interesting setup. I don’t think I’ve read, but maybe two or three books with musical artists as the lead so it was a very interesting storyline.
In this book, a schoolgirl crush turns into an intense and heated romance. They both have issues to overcome, especially Anthony, who is wrestling with guilt and old memories. I loved them together, but he didn’t always treat her right.
This book also left a few questions in my mind in terms of Chloe’s future. A lot of the ending was devoted to Anthony, but kind of left her out in terms of her brilliant future. That bothered me.
Overall a great story, and I love the heat and spice the author was not shy about including. 3 Stars ~~~~~~~ The second book, The True Love Experiment, is by Marsh. This is the first time I’ve read this author and I completely fell in love with it her writing.
Her story was smart and witty. Breaking through the grumpy male lead character and finding his inner feelings was crazy. What a tough nut to crack.
I love the fact that they completed each other so well, but still definitely struggled in terms of communication for fear of ruining their friendship.
The author brought us a unique story that was a slow burn and had some heat but was not over the top for those readers that like it a little milder.
One thing that bothered me is, I could not stand Wren’s family. I thought they were rude and insensitive, and that to me was a huge hangup.
Marsh is an author I will look for again and hope to continue to read her wonderful romance stories. 4 STARS
Together these two balance out each other well. It’s fun to have two completely different stories on the same cover that is long enough to enjoy a complete romance without missing any other details.

I have to say this story took me a bit to get into the groove of how it is written. The short chapters lead us into almost a choppy feeling while reading because the author wrote what seems to be a closing paragraph at the end of each chapter. The next little chapter will start in with another day or activity. It breaks the pacing of the story. Once I got the hang of her writing style, it tended to flow better for me.
One thing that I love about the story is the inclusion of the fact the main character is a librarian who creates amazing events and activities for her community. It made me think how much I wish our library would dive into community events just like is depicted in this book.
Along with all of this, we are also dealing with a medical diagnosis called SAD – Seasonal Affective Disorder. This affects people deeply when there’s not a lot of light during the winter which brings depression, and in some instances, profound sadness.
Struggling with that and a new love interest was definitely a balancing act. However, the author did a great job depicting reality in seemingly real-life scenarios. I love the main male character who has a great balance to everything going on surrounding the struggling couple. Alison had to learn to trust that the support she needed was there waiting for her.
There are parts of the story that absolutely loved but I had a difficult time as mentioned earlier with the chapter flow. I think it tends to break the concentration of the story.
The author, Surrey, took the time to balance the dark with the light so while this subject matter can be a bit overwhelming at times, you know good things will come along the way.

On one hand I appreciate the hard work the author put in. The story development and flow was good. Maybe too good because the energy surrounding Clover is crazy. She reminded me of someone who had attention deficit because I found myself reading super fast whenever she was in the scene.
Everything she did was fast, including damn near attacking the poor guy she wanted, Van Gogh. If I was him, I would have taken off! LOL
But he did hang in there and they were good together. Their connection was like a spark of energy, burning fast and furious. It was almost exhausting.
Overall, the story was sweet and sexy, with flashes of fun. Clover was a hit and miss for me. She intrigued me in some ways, but in others, not so much. Van Gogh was sweet but gullible. But we did get a lovely HEA.

torn - 3.5 Stars ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I thought I remembered reading a book similar to this one. In fact, I could have sworn that this was a part of the series. However, I was wrong. This is the first book I have read by this author and I am torn.

3.5 STARS When it comes to a traditional murder mystery, certain aspects are almost required. Let’s see how we do.
Spooky mansion – check Stormy nights –3.5 STARS When it comes to a traditional murder mystery, certain aspects are almost required. Let’s see how we do.
Spooky mansion – check Stormy nights – check Family inheritance drama – check Ex-lovers drama – check Dysfunctional family – check Smoking hot wanna-be flame – check Somewhat weird, super-focused sleuth – check This book perfectly lays out a good traditional theme set up and bones of an old-style murder mystery. It is wacky and loaded with twists as everyone becomes a suspect.
The author managed to include so many characters that you truly have to wade through everything to figure out who is suspect and who is just there muddying the waters. As for our super sleuth, she is a writer who keeps bouncing back into books she has written for help, somewhat reminiscent of a Jessica Fletcher wanna-be.
What sets this main character apart is this one is much younger and we are treated to a lovely second-chance romance through it all too. I have to say Jake makes this book for me. Sexy and nursing a tender heart.
She Doesn’t Have a Clue is a wild story but parts of it got to be too much for me with all chasing the who-dun-it scenarios. For true lovers of this trope, it is a perfect choice. Weird, wild, humorous, witty, steamy. What’s not to love?
Moke delivers the goods with this story, but unfortunately, it is not my style.
