Figuring out the killer, not so much. It took me almost as long as it took Kate to figure out who killed Milan.
This story began with a very graphic (as compared to other books I have read) murder scene of Milan. That’s how I knew this was going to be different from other mystery thrillers I have read. There were several players in this story but keeping them straight in my mind was easy. There were some chapters told from the killer’s POV but they held no insight to WHO it could be.
I enjoyed this story and can’t wait to catch up on the previous books and learn all there is to know about Kate Burkholder’s world. ...more

It wasn’t all that bad. But, I scored it low for a few reasons. First, I felt as if some parts dragged on and could’ve been condensed a little. Second, this is the third in a series and I felt I would’ve understood it a lot better had I read the first two. So, in conclusion, if I had begun the series with Book One, I would’ve rated it higher.
I loved the premise of the book. Sometimes after reading a bunch of romance novels, something like a time traveling book is refreshing. Although, I see the perfect romance brewing and hope it comes to fruition. Mallory as a head strong female from the 21st century living in Victorian Scotland is a perfect plot. In regards to the “whodunit?” part of the plot, I guessed somewhat the who that was behind it but I never saw the actual killer coming.
Will I read more from this author? Absolutely. Will I read the previous books in this series? Again, absolutely. ...more

To be fair, I have always been a mystery/thriller type of girl (Nancy Drew was my first books read and ironically, Nancy Drew is mentioned in this book) so I’m always down for a good mystery and thriller read.
There’s several players in this book and they all somehow intertwine together. First we have twins Tabitha and Talia. Then we have Tabitha’s husband, Grant and they have a young son. Talia is married to Zach who is also a childhood friend of the twins. We also have a new neighbor, Anne.
The beginning starts with an incident occurring that doesn’t make sense right away. But, you know it’s important somehow. The first few chapters after are kind of slow but after that - it’s fast paced and intriguing. Everytime I thought I knew who to suspect, I began to second guess myself. Everytime I thought I knew what happened, I later found out I was wrong.
This book was simply amazing and I’m thankful for Netgalley providing me a copy to read for an honest review. ...more

And while I loved their continuing story in Timeless Encore, I felt a little let down by it in a way. It’s still amazing in spots; other times I just rushed through the chapter to get to the next and something more exciting to me. I loved Fiona’s aspiration to become a Michelin star chef; this was something she wasn’t going to give up on easily. I loved Mia as well as her father/daughter relationship with Zane. I was happy to see more of the Carter/Ty/Zane story from different perspectives.
This is not only the completion of Zane and Fiona’s story but the story of LTZ as a whole. I feel like I’m losing a connection to my friends since it’s the end of the series. Will we see them again in another of Kaylene’s series? Possibly. I hope so. I’m not ready to say goodbye.
Now, a little tidbit in the ending provided the possibility of Carter getting another book (besides the prequel to the series). I am really hoping for this. Lianne (Zane’s mother) has some explaining to do for me because I was not her biggest fan in this book. I was ready to pack her bags and send her back to Denver, New York, somewhere myself....more
