2. logan was not giving beard energy. i'm sorry! he wasn't. he was very average white man, sooo heartbroken by his ex that everything jeanie did either triggered him or reminded him of his relationship. and him being "so big"???? no. that man has no beard and i promise he's like 5'9. AND not him gaslighting her like "oh no no one is terrorizing your space" when meanwhile someone is but you gave her a WEEK alone to deal with it by herself. real nice.
3. the girls. hazel and annie (i think that's her name?) why were they so mean to her? like girl i just moved into the cafe to help YALL have good coffee and you think i'm worried about logan? yikes. i didn't like their vibes with her, and it was not genuine.
4. jeanie needed a back bone. when she forgave norman for literally terrorizing her and was like ya you can still work for me... um what???? im sorry. if you're breaking windows and breaking my shit? you don't work for me. didn't like that.
the only thing redeeming for me was bennett. i liked him, i liked the setting, and the idea of a small town. however, if i stopped in dream harbor, i have the feeling they might be some rude people.

this series overall was pretty good. great way to escape into a book, but i will have to say the climax was a bit underwhelming in all of the books. it's like we were aimlessly getting to the plot and we would no sooner be reminded of it, we would be wrapping it up.
my favorite is rook + sage, then alistair and briar. i really enjoyed the dark academia aspect and missed that in the later books.
also the spice was done well too so i had fun (; if you don't mind grammatical errors - pick this series up!!!!...more
