I listened to the audiobook for this one and I thought it was so easy to listen to and loved how the narrators were able to reflect the emotions of the characters. The soft and sweet moments between them were perfect and I loved hearing Dallas & Hemi's story!
Dallas has been in love with Wills since they were kids, but she has hated him since he ruined her life while they grew up. However, things aren’t as they seem and Dallas is determined to show Wills just how much he cares for her. He is literally so sweet and swoony!! I couldn’t get enough of all the things he does to care for her and the banter between them is great! Plus, the spice is hot!

She's strong, independent, and also stubborn but can you blame her?! While Julian also loves getting his hands bloody, he's her best friend's brother and the bane of her existence. So what will happen when he finds out she's the one that the news is dubbing the Slasher?? The tension between these two is insane and I love how spicy it is when they finally give in to each other. They both have some darkness and they just work so well together! It has so many of my favorite tropes/themes and I knew I'd devour this one!

After being dropped from his team after some trouble and almost kicked out of the NHL, Robbie finds himself in New York with the only team who would take him. What he didn't expect was to see a high school enemy show up as the real estate agent while looking for somewhere to stay. Seeing as Fran is desperate for this sale before her annoying ex will get the listing, Robbie proposes a deal to help them both out - be his fake girlfriend and help rehab his image in exchange for him buying the apartment.
The banter between these two is hilarious at times and I also love seeing their softer sides. And when the steam hits, it's delicious and I devoured it!

When I say that I literally felt so much emotion while reading this, I’m not lying. The prologue had me already crying and the number of times I cried or teared up while reading can’t be counted. There’s something so sweet and heartbreakingly beautiful about this book with Dean & Liv’s story.
Clara is hands down the comedic relief in this book, but also I wanted to cry at how intuitive she was with her feelings and also noticing her dad’s (Dean’s) feelings as well. She always knew what to say and that cardinal scene had be sobbing so hard but it was so perfect.
There’s not a single aspect of this book that I’m not in love with. It’s everything I could have hoped for and might have just knocked BL&SN out of the way for my top book by Kat.

Avery is just too sweet of a human and I was so proud of her when she finally did what she needed to for herself. And Harris had me swooning! He might be my new favorite MMC from C.L. Rose!!! And Monroe is strong and independent, focused on finding her own path to happiness and I respect that so much!

The chemistry between Rowan and (Ky)Leigh was so palpable and I love how steamy it is between them from the start! What started as a one night stand ended up turning into f*ck buddies and I’m here for it! While it did silently kill me every time they both held secrets back, I do think it played into the story well with them both not trying to be anything other than f*ck buddies.
Also, the side characters in this book definitely made me laugh and excited for the series! I absolutely love Rowan’s close teammates and cannot wait to see what’s next!
MR. HEARTBREAKER is releasing October 15th and is a MUST add to the TBR if you love hockey romances! Perfect balance between spicy and sweet!
