The fact that I read 32% of this book and NOTHING HAPPENED pissed me off the most. They would just go around in circles and there was no progress in the story. Blah blah horror scream, my book wasn’t meant to reach your eyes! blah blah — BUT IT HAS AND NOW MOVE TF ON AND GET TO THE EDITING FFS!
The jokes/quirky metaphors in almost every sentence were so redundant and just made the fmcs character out to be a clown. She had nothing to give me except the fact that she had a health condition that made her faint at the drop of a hat. That’s fine but what else??? She behaves as though she’s never met him the first scene they’re shown together when in fact they have met before and it’s so dumb.
The guy was somewhat better but he was so blandddd like come tf on. He wasn’t your 2D alpha mmc and that was refreshing to read about. He had life in him. But then it got so cringey I couldn’t take his pov anymore. He was maybe a little too sweet for my liking lol.
There would be unnecessary filler scenes that added nothing to the story.
Oh and there was so much talk about TikTok and how she’s so old for that stuff that I think I lost some brain cells trying to look past it for the 4783th time :)
I tried to stay for the smut but I just could not deal with the characters inner monologue anymore. Smh I might be patient but even I have my limits. ...more
