I love how Reed saw that Tatum wasn’t ready or available for more than a friend and he became whatever she needed- it was the sweetest to watch him be a genuine friend without expecting more. While I did enjoy the darker elements of the stalker/blackmail/etc. because it brought the MCs together, I felt like it was an unfinished storyline and I wished we saw more of the fallout for him or the justice of the other victims rather than just “I want to move on” and then BOOM end of storyline.

I LOVED the banter and relationship between Everly and Hardy. The slowest of slow burns made them getting together so sweet but not without me yelling at Hardy for the majority of the book. I laughed out loud several times during this book, which isn’t always the case with romcoms, but Meghan Quinn’s characters always make me laugh. The cameos of characters from the Cane Brother’s series were so fun! I loved their world and I’m so glad to be back in it.

You can read this book as a standalone or find characters from other series woven throughout this story. So many great tropes in this book with great characters. Nixon had a childhood crush on Kenzie and after years of friendship, forced proximity, and lucky timing- he’s fake dating her and he’s going to do whatever it takes to prove he’s worth keeping around for real. I loved their chemistry, their friendship, their friends, and the pacing of their story and can’t wait for the next in the series.

When a revenge pact, turns marriage of convenience, turns “omg did we get drunk and get married in Vegas last night?!” ends up being the best thing that ever happened to Gracie and Spencer, tensions rise, angst turns way up, and the connection is undeniable. Gracie and Spencer’s relationship was so beautiful to watch unfold. Two people who have lost all reason to trust find happiness in the person they least expect after Spencer’s engagement to Gracie’s sister falls through and Gracie swoops in to take her place. Hijinks and banter ensue for these friends realize they just may be soul mates in book 2 of the Nash Brothers series!

Book 2 is full to the brim of angst and emotion. This book was somehow a slow read (not in a bad way!) because of the emotional content and a fast read because of the relationship building. The pacing felt right for this storyline and added to the instability and unreliability of Hunter. While the plot wasn’t driven forward too far, since it’s dual timeline and the “now” takes place over a short period of time, the connections between the characters (old and new) were a major plot. We get to see the different connections not only between the love interests, but parents/parental figures as well. A highly, highly emotional read with lots of triggers, lots of spicy content, and another huge cliffhanger. I’m anticipating the next read to see how this plays out… I know me and my buddy reading friends have our theories but I’m DYING for answers!!

The MCs had great character growth, the side characters were dynamic, and there’s great set up for the next story. I liked seeing the characters from The Ex-cavenger Hunt, though they weren’t prominent characters. This book followed similar pacing and spice level as the first book and I look forward to the rest of this series.

It gives a feel for the characters right off the bat I loved this book but now need to go back and read book 1 to get to know those characters more because the whole group was so fun to read about! I cannot wait for the rest of this series! I love the hard shell of Zack with the tattoos, piercings, and gruff with the gooey center of being gone for his girl. The arguing, the reluctant pining, the meddling members of the small town- such a great read. The secret tattoos had me tearing up from reading about them in the blurb to learning about their details. This broken boy MMC Levi felt like he deserved nothing but when hidden secrets are finally revealed he gets everything he’s ever hoped for. The writing was easy to read, the storyline was (mostly) easy to follow, the angst was perfectly angsty without being stressful, and the pining was great. It was a slowburn romance with a lot of banter, “we shouldn’t”, pining, and forced proximity.

The banter, the nicknames, the push and pull, and the found family had me loving every turn of the page. The MMC Cade is a broody, broken goalie who is only soft for the FMC Gwen who is a pediatric ICU nurse who isn’t afraid to speak her mind. The pacing was great, the storyline was intriguing, and the MCs were likable. I’ll definitely be reading more by Lexi James

A high-risk emotional read with lots of high reward for romance. Tate was so close to perfect, and the first half of their love story was almost flawless- I laughed, I swooned, I was kicking my feet. The second half was filled with so much angst, anxiety, pining, loss, and heartbreak and I sweat I went through all those emotions with Laurel. Please be warned that the triggers are main plot points of the story and come up often so be aware of them, but if you can read anyway, this spicy read will be worth the tears!

Braxton was such a sweetheart, and I loved every minute of his story. This book took me on an emotional journey and had such a strong “found family” trope that had my heart melting and soaring. I loved seeing how their relationship went from “just coworkers” and “just friends” to Monroe being completely gone for Juliet. He was sweet, caring, gentle, thoughtful, and supportive. The tropes and blurb had me so excited to read this story, but unfortunately it fell a bit flat for me. The MMCs were in their 40s but it read like high school/college age or someone who has never been in a relationship rather than 2 adults who have been in long established relationships before. This book would be good for someone who is looking for a quick read without a lot of emotional investment- perfect for plane, train, and automobile rides.
