Treats h like a skank, she catches him with other ow, he's either getting bj or f*cking ow and treats h like is own personal toy, even came over to her after getting bj and unfinished f*ck then later she heard him getting himself off . I think he was suppose to come off as alpha but instead he was just a dick/douche, h just as bad. She was was a total tsl with her first love, went after him like a dog in heat even though he had a main hook up chick - that could be forgiven she was only 18 but looks like lesson not learnt. I could guess what the mystery was regarding the h pretty quickly to be honest. The book ended really weird - no "I love you" just H telling her she was his or some shit like that. The story line regarding the h and her mystery was not resolved, the bitch that tried to kill her or arm her numerous times is running around also not resolved so confused since other book is suppose to be about other brother (who is also another cheating douche btw). I'm curious enough to read it only to see what if the whole situation with these MC's gets resolved. I hate feeling unsatisfied LOL. Overall, nothing wrong with writing style, flowed but just hated both MC's, not HEA to me just HFN or until H decides to slip his dick into another skank....more

Initially thought OM was the H ( lived with h, lots of sex, engaged) turns out to be undercover trying to catch H! Loved H's relationship with "daugther", guy is messed up but if you can forget that aspect sweet together. Darkish, Dexterish vibe with H. Still thinking on this one, why sometimes felt flat. Overall, not bad but I think because h/OM was so involved, took away from the H/h relationship then next day she is falling for H. BTW, OM was working undercover, took his job so seriously that he moved in with h, strong sexual relationship. got engaged but he was married! wife was aware and also FBI. Definitely not boring but disturbing in parts, sweet in some ( with daughter), h is her teacher....more

So the book read like a book within a book. We have the h who is hired to co author book series for the OW (Verity of the our book title). OW Verity is in coma after accident. The H is Verity's husband with 5 yrs old son in hhold. Sad factor is that H/OW /wife Verity lost twin girls separately within 6 months or such. So, the book within book is h finding autobiography of Verity which read like a tell all of horrendous proportion. To add to the spooky factor h kept feeling that that Verity was not as out of it as everyone thinks, reading her autobiography confirms this. We see (thru h's reading ) more of H/Verity than h/H, also how very very active their sex life was! Felt like that's all they had was her using sex to keep the H interested. I didn't really "feel" h/H falling in love to be honest and the book should have been spooky, suspenseful but felt flat, didn't really deliver for me and the twist at the end not so much - I want to know the truth darn it!! So maybe the most interesting is the ending leaving me hanging and wondering - this made my 2* 3*. Verity as crazy as she was if her auto is to be believed is the most interesting part of the book - Darn, I really liked the premise, just wish the overall delivery was better, that I felt the emotions that should have gone with what happened, still ending made me wanna know what the truth really is!!...more

Lack of communication and misunderstanding. h jumped to wrong conclusion, didn't confront H/OW /friend but was telling everyone H cheated on her without discussing with main parties. H at fault too as he kept from h that OW who was now h's close friend was the g/f before her who was married at the time (H dropped her when he found out, was brief relationship, ow hid that she was married and that she did get pregnant for H but terminated pregnancy) Book should have been interesting but found it pretty flat....more

So this book had all the stuff I love: boy meets girl at young age, friends to lovers, angst, troubled past, drama, family issues ! I just felt book jumped in some places without explanation of the in between stuff . We didnt get to see what was going on in Cutie's life away from Rebel (h/H names for each other). We also know H got with OW, had a relationship/kid but didnt "see " this, we only know because h saw them, saw pregnant OW and yet H proclaimed she was the only one etc. Lots of triggers and I mean lots here, some taken from today's headline/me too movement in Hollywood so pe warned. I still loved the book, loved the H/h just wanted to shake them a time or two. I did suspect what was happening with h and suspected all was not right with her slimy manipulative agent but nothing was revealed until the end. I now realize that the brother's book was before this one and the h in those books actually OW who was pregnant for this H!!! I don't think this is totally a stand alone book due to some chappy areas that felt some details missing. I don't know if I want to read other books showing H in love with someone other than Cutie though (apparently OW is her look alike) - sounds totally fucked up all around. Again, I did enjoy book but I think I wanna keep my illusions that H only loved Cutie LOL. ...more

We have immature manho H and his gang of equally immature manho's masquerading as alpha bad ass bikers but actually acts like college frat boys. h supposed to be kick ass independent but turns out to be another tsl doormat taking on blame for H's really bad shitty decisions. No one seem to realize that as bad as the H had it losing baby, it was worse for h - I mean, he could still have kids (which he did)! but h could not!! hello?
H and his gang of merry men are in law enforcement undercover as bikers but the man whoring/cheating is not pretense. Due to said job, crazy OW (skanky, slutty drugged up) ran down h and not only killed her baby but any chance to have another and guess who H cheated on h with!!!! From the description of this OW no one with any decency or honor would ever sleep with this woman! H obviously was unprotected and got this sleezy slut pregnant, moved her into house he shared with h, and shared a bed with her - my head hurts. He was honorable you see and wanted to save kid -- here I am thinking, alpha bad ass just look her ass up and keep her watched -why live and sleep with her??? Now everyone is on h's case for leaving this wonderful man and not forgiving him and embracing him / kid because you know its fate that this kid (yes I know innocent, not her fault) was meant to be hers and this wonderful H's! It was meant to be folks. Even her parents are now surrogate grandparents for this child (don't get me wrong not her fault and deserve all the love-this is just in addressing the expectations of her own family and supposed friends).
All I can think when H/h had first sex scene after all this was his dick need to be bleached - just could not stomach - I skipped over - that's it for me on this series, I didn't read first book and after reading about the other characters will pass -- very distasteful read for me....more

Hell no - no reason good enough to forgive - no way! And that father of hers? Loved what h's mother did to him -was really cruel especially seeing his daughter suffering all those years because of what he did to the H! Double betrayal on what should have been happiest day of her life. I don't know that I would be as forgiving. The story was full of emotions, really good, just hated H and father for good portion lol....more

This was reversal of the H/h -- h previously saw her enemy (aforementioned tormentor/bully) on top of H having sex, now H seeing her doing same in alley- yuk. Book divided into 3 parts, part 1 was good, I buckled in for the angst was prepared, part 3 just went down hill for me felt like over kill. One thing I can say was that I had a lot of different emotions reading this book for sure and the writing was good, just felt lots of contrived and over kill with the reversal between H/h. Also felt so sad with friend's suicide and him not being able to come out to friends or family. On a personal note, my daughter is gay, I guessed it and called it before she came out to me but waited and waited for her to tell me and she did so with so much fear. No matter how close one is it is still hard so this portion of the story really hit me in an emotional way. So yes, very emotional book, again just felt some things were over the top (point lost), this does not take away the amazing writing and emotional impact. I also like that the author included help information on some of these triggers for help. I would recommend but with warnings. Will I read this author again? Absolutely - but will check safety first so I know what i'm getting into.

I initially gave 4* then dropped to 3* because though I understood the circumstances (h/om,friend was going to get divorced) the H did not know this and still slept with h so to me that was cheating. The whole misunderstanding was totally avoidable to me as well had they only talked to the H! I hated that the h and H's former bff kept his child from him even when she first got critically ill!! No excuses good enough---for 6 whole years. She almost died and he would not have known about her - just so he could live his dream to play ball??? No excuse good enough, agree with H. I cant figure out why neither h or friend did not reach out to the H in 6 whole yrs to let him know about his daughter especially when she was ill?? Not sure I would have forgiven so quickly. Loved that H even though he became popular did not become a manho or player, in fact only started dating ow just the year before and didnt love her (some drama with ow adding to the break up years before they became intimate).
I hated that the h was a constantly weeping mess!! and not just because her child was sick, thats understandable, she made stupid mistakes and was so apologetic and weeping about this constantly which really was her own stupid fault. I dont blame the H for being so mad at both her and his bff whatsoever, and I agree it would seem friend wanted h as more than friend. I'm surprise the H forgave her so quickly but I think the miracle was Remi (daughter). Everyone should have a little Remi. She was the miracle that pulled everyone together and made the book even better.
I did love that little girl so much, I could feel her character coming thru the book - I think the Author must have or know a little Remi in her life, she was that real and she made the book for me. Was sad to see it end so dispite some triggers I really really loved this book . Really hope Jensen (om) gets his own HEA....more

I hated the beginning and the H's inner thoughts on his slutty ways - he even slept with woman at friend's wedding, his manho'ing well known but to be fair once he slapped eyes on the h again (his high school friend/love) all bets were off and he was very faithful, alpha to her. He was actually pretty sweet so it makes you think he would have been with her 100% had they remain together ( twist to why she did partly very sad). I loved the son and the friendship with H before he found out H was his father.
I found the relationship development was lacking though, everything just sort of went so fast from H being furious with h and how she left him without explanation to the sex marathon then just rinse repeat - cant believe it but the focus became the over the top sexing and not on the relationship aspect in my opinion but overall not bad.
No ow/om drama ( the h's ex husband created some issues with the business but mostly off book), none of the ow H slept with made any appearances. Some interesting side characters that I think may show up in other books in the series....more
