The h simply ran away after the cheating and selling her portion of her company to the ex's friend. Said friend has been secretly in love with her all this time though that didn't stop him sleeping his way through lots and lots of models or model time women! They eventually moved to sleeping together ( no condom btw -stupid move considering his manho behavior)??then shockers, turns out H actually was in love and in relationship with the h's best friend who was suppose to be out of the country for a while but decided to come back and surprise the H and commit to him! The h pushed him back to friend, not wanting to hurt her another stupid mistake! how about being honest with her?? I can't blame the h for getting involved because she was unaware of this relationship but neither her or the H told the friend after so that was crappy move. The H who is suddenly confused about both women restarted relationship with friend while still making googly eyes at the h and shockers, ow/friend got pregnant! Had they been honest and told her this might not have happened! The ex has now left the 2nd love of his live and is now back with the tsl h ( time jump) and getting married again --see? stupid ass decision again. The ending felt very short/rushed and not so much HEA but HFN. If I was the h, would have kicked him in the balls and send him home with OW -see how rough he liked it then! But no, tsl h took him home! Goes home with h, realize its really true not together anymore but they jumped into bed anyways and had marathon sexathon all weekend. Soon find out after, h has remarried in impulsive drunk mistake in Vegas - yep she is married!
So many other stupid incidents/situations in between the constant sexathon with H getting memory back , not telling h cause now he loves her again and loves that she is now into rough sex so his live is now complete! Honesty not sure why anyone would want to take someone that faithless and shallow back. Basically divorcing someone you love without explanation, just "im not happy anymore -bye" to go rough sex is beyond ridiculous and H apparently shacked up with OW very soon after too. To me honestly, the scenes with h, was not really rough - if anything was light bdsm so really challenging to make sense of the whole premise. Both H/h are cheaters, H will likely get bored again and look for someone else to fulfill his needs again.

Now this is where I loved the h! she divorced him so fast his head was spinning! Yeah! Yes, the ended back together but after yrs of grovelling - make him work for it girl! I did enjoy writing style, hated the H initially, hated how he treated h. Book flowed and I read it non stop. So he slept around to his heart's content and got some STD, was a drunk - after all of that he decided time to win the h and daughter back - no thank you. No ow scene, all off the page, more telling than anything. One of his hook ups is now is friend and business partner but no drama from her. By her words they realize they were more friends than lovers -gag! If we weren't aware of the awful things the H did, he would have been a nice guy looking for a 2nd chance but could not forget all the awful things he did. The H forgave him way too quick. Book was ok, nothing exciting, was filled with other family characters I assume from other books and felt dragged here and there. Overall just ok read, not on my read again list....more

I didn't experience any of the emotions that should have been part of the story and it was more telling with very little details to be honest so not satisfactory reading -waste of time....more

Wonderful wonderful H later chose to abandon wife after planning to be there for her and take her to rehab because OW was in labor - he chose to be with OW over taking wife to rehab - unbelievable. TSL h not only took this ass back but also now accept OW baby and decide she will be a good step mom to this kid. Ending felt very rushed and incomplete, things turned around very fast. An epilogue into the future would have been nice. I see this idiot cheating again, I mean why not? He got away with it - he'll probably leave this kid with wife and go find another young OW to cheat with!

The H is Verity's husband with 5 yrs old son in hhold. Sad factor is that H/OW /wife Verity lost twin girls separately within 6 months or such. So, the book within book is h finding autobiography of Verity which read like a tell all of horrendous proportion. To add to the spooky factor h kept feeling that that Verity was not as out of it as everyone thinks, reading her autobiography confirms this. We see (thru h's reading ) more of H/Verity than h/H, also how very very active their sex life was! Felt like that's all they had was her using sex to keep the H interested. I didn't really "feel" h/H falling in love to be honest and the book should have been spooky, suspenseful but felt flat, didn't really deliver for me and the twist at the end not so much - I want to know the truth darn it!! So maybe the most interesting is the ending leaving me hanging and wondering - this made my 2* 3*. Verity as crazy as she was if her auto is to be believed is the most interesting part of the book - Darn, I really liked the premise, just wish the overall delivery was better, that I felt the emotions that should have gone with what happened, still ending made me wanna know what the truth really is!!...more

I think h was meant to be strong and independent but instead just melted and panties dropped with just one look from the H ... at least would have dropped if she wore any smh! Honestly, based on synopsis should have been a good read but was not. I just didn't "feel" with this one - no depth. One if the other things that didn't add up? the parents are now living together and so both h/H living under same roof but both parents quite ok with them being together and sleeping together again felt too contrived cause I cant see protective father allowing this? So the douche's explanation to the h on his cheating ... almost sound like he felt it should count cause he didn't enjoy himself! he faked enjoyment! seriously? and the h forgave him so much for strong independent h... yeah this one was a regrettable read for me.
