A brand new romantic comedy from your favorite snort-laughing duo!

Liam

The moment Sadie Matthews walks through the daycare center door, I feel my world tilt in her direction. Again. I fell for her when I was fourteen, and I'm still not over her. Problem: she still thinks of me as a teen she used to babysit. But I've learned a few things about pleasing a woman in the last fifteen years. I can't wait to show her how good it could be. I need to move quickly before I lose her again. This is more than a game to me, but I still plan to win.

Sadie

I've just survived the worst year of my life. As a single mom of twin toddlers, I don't have time for a man. I barely have time to finish a thought. Who knew that Liam McAllister would grow up to be so devastating? He's everything my husband was not: tall, built, and willing to have a tea party with my girls.

I can't possibly get involved with him. He's too young for me. Too handsome. But he's so persuasive...

➳A man with love and care towards kids, a single mother of two twins... what more can I ask for in this sexy, raw and passionate romance novel filled with laughter and joy...

➳My lack of rom-coms is always present since every time I read one, it has to just be PERFECT for me to properly enjoy it. Sarina Bowen & Tanya Eby are two of the most unique authors I have read in such a long time, because no matter what type of romance they write, the laughter never stops pouring out of me. Now, for those who know me, they know that my love and kink for single father romances is immense and I accept from them from left to right no matter what. When it comes down to single mother romances, now those are new to me. Especially for those that the main female character is older than the main male character. I was uncertain about diving into this one because of that...

➳However, Liam McAllister is such a man who oozes that power of possessiveness and control when it comes down to being a proper man than being described as a fourteen year old Liam, with his fourteen year old fantasies about Sadie. To me, I found Liam and Sadie just the ideal couple when handling two-year old twins with two different personalities but filled with joy and happiness. That is all what Sadie, as a single mother truly wants. To bring happiness and peace towards her daughters. Not that she doesn't do it, but in her head she believes she fails as a mother. Thats when Liam comes into the equation, making her realize how utterly beautiful and extravagant Sadie truly is and how her power of being a single mother has made her into a strong woman, capable of absolutely anything the world can put her through.

➳Starting as sexual partners, to Liam wanting to become much more, Sadie and Liam learn that true love exists in this hysterical romance novel. Establishing a life together is the ideal path Liam wants, while Sadie does not want her little princesses to get confused upon the presence of Liam. Both twins love him to death, and adore spending time with him. So the question of compatibility for the girls with Liam is out the door for sure. And when it comes down to the chemistry and raw passion both Liam and Sadie have... there is no denying its presence.

➳Overall, my body is still tingling over this new compelling romance novel. No matter what, Sarina and Tanya have to continue writing together as a duo because their funny, witty, and adorable romance novels filled with so many sexy times are just meant to be read and not passed over. And if you have not read any of the books from this series, the previous novels, then that's totally fine as they are considered standalones. But just beware they can have some spoilers about the future of the previous characters. Thank you to Nina for sending over a copy of this beauty, I am so excited for everyone else to thoroughly enjoy this new rom-com!

Boy Toy was a rom com for sure, but it was so much more than that! Unlike the first two books in the series, this wasn’t quite as LOL slap stick funny, but more funny, sweet, and just more. By far my favorite of this series!

Sadie is a single mom putting her twin girls in daycare for the first time after some bad luck with a string of nannies. It’s a hard decision for her, but it’s what's best. At the daycare, she sees a man who knocks her socks off. He happens to be Liam McAllister. Liam was 14 the summer that 19 year old Sadie baby sat him. He’s always had the biggest crush on her, and now at 29, he’s grown up well. And he still has it bad for Sadie.

Sadie has endured a long dry spell since her disaster of a marriage. Liam is willing to be the boy toy she needs to break that spell. Little does she know at first, he wants so much more than that.
Sadie is just in this for the sex. As far as she knows, so am I. But I’ve been in love with her since I was fourteen.

How much did I love Liam? SO freaking much! I loved him with Sadie, I loved him with her girls, and I loved that he didn’t conform to what his family or society wanted him to be. He did what he loved and achieved the things he wanted for himself. He was literally the BEST hero! Sadie was great, too. She was a little slow to come around to what was going on, but I understood it.

Boy Toy made me smile, laugh, and swoon. I loved this story! I only wish we got more of an epilogue. I felt like it ended a bit abruptly. I’m hoping there is another book in this series because I need to see what happens next with this couple!

“What are you guys in the mood for?” I ask, bringing up the Netflix icon on my screen.
“Hmmm…” Ash says. “I dunno. How about something sexy? Like, The Graduate!”
That’s a little weird. Usually Ash asks for some kind of action flick involving explosions or car chases or both.
“Nah,” Brynn says. “I’m much more in the mood for American Pie. You know, I think that’s the movie where the term MILF was invented. You know, a Mother I’d Like To Fuck.”
There’s a massive scoop of New York Style cheesecake hovering just inches from my mouth when everything clicks into place. “Dammit!” The fork clatters to my plate. “What did you guys see?”
They both collapse in hysterics. Seriously, they’re laughing so hard that Brynn might go into labor. I should’ve known when I entered the door and they were al oh, hiiiiiiii. And Brynn’s eyebrows were wagging. And Ash was all smirky. They must’ve seen Liam kissing me! They must’ve driven right past and I was so involved I didn’t even notice.
“Just tell us if that runner boy is as good a kisser as I imagine him being.”
And I get a little bit jealous all of a sudden when Ash says that. Like my inner goddess growls mine.
“Please say there’s more where that kiss came from!” Brynn this time. “Please tell me there is boinking. I can’t boink right now. It’s just too much effort, but I’d love to live vicariously through you.”
“No! There’s no...boinking.” I clear my throat, set the cheesecake down. “Or blowing. Or banging. Or anything. It was just a kiss.”
Ash shakes her head. “I know what a just-a-kiss looks like, and that was not. That’s was just-a-foreplay. That dude wants you so bad.”
“Liam,” I say, and I sort of sound all breathy and ridiculous.
“Liammm,” they echo, mimicking me in the same voice.
Fucking girlfriends.
“So…” I should probably just tell them. They’re my best friends and they’ve always been my support system. They’ll tell me the truth and be real with me, and consider all the options. They won’t jump to conclusions and I know I can trust them.
So why am I procrastinating? Why don’t I just blurt it out?
“Liam wants to have a no strings attached sexual relationship with me to cure me of my sex drought and because apparently it will fulfill some inner fantasy he’s had of me since he was fourteen.”
This is the part where my besties ponder the question with me. We’ll have an in-depth conversation discussing the pros and cons and the possible emotional complications, and…
Ash says, “Do it.”
Brynn says, “Yeah. Fuck him.”
Ah. That was fast. “But aren’t I too…”
“Short?” Brynn guesses. “Nah.”
“Uptight?” Ash supplies. “Didn’t look like it a half hour ago.”
“...Old,” I finish. “He makes me feel like a cougar.”
“You can’t be a cougar until at least forty,” Ash says. “It’s a rule. So you have five years left. But in five years he’ll be thirty-four, and the differential between your ages will be inside of twenty percent. So you will have aged out of cougardom.”
“You’ll be fully amortized,” Brynn adds.
We both give her weird looks. “Do you know what amortized means?” Ash asks.
“No, but it sounds like the Latin word for love,” she shrugs. “Let’s eat cheesecake and watch a kissing movie.”
And that is why the three of us have never successfully completed a serious conversation. We have, on the other hand, successfully completed many a cheesecake.

I absolutely love this author. She can totally get me with every book she writes, every trope, every character. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed this series so I knew I couldn’t wait to get to this one. And it definitely wasn’t a disappointment, at all. Out of the three books so far in this series, this may be my favorite. Why you ask, it features the two previous couples, and second we get Liam & Sadie. Definitely a favorite book of 2018

We’ve gotten a lot of Sadie’s story over the last two novels and I couldn’t wait to get her happily ever after. Hands down so happy she found Liam McAllister. The only thing I would change in this story was socking it to Dexter, plain and simple 😜

The instant chemistry between these characters is sizzling

These two knew each other from growing up. Sadie babysat Liam’s siblings one Summer and that is when Liam started his deep crush for Sadie. So years later when they meet up again, Liam knows he’s in trouble again when not only is he still crushing but he has never wanted a woman the way he needs and wants Sadie. And she’s a mom to boot. The dedication, the loyalty, Liam’s kindness, love, and his passion melt my heart. He will do anything for Sadie or her twin girls. He would walk over burning coals to get to her or them. We read a lot of dedicated and loving men, but dang Liam, he’s up there at the top. We can all dream of having a man like him😍

Sadie is amazing in this story. She knows what she wants, she just has to have to push to finally go get it. Their age difference of 5 years is nothing to me. In today’s world, 5 years is like 5 months. No hurdle to get over =)))

I loved getting the previous characters in this wonderful group. So if you have read this series, you know hands down you laugh a lot. All I can say is Sarina Bowen, you had me laughing out loud so much in this book😘😘

A total recommend from me. And if you have not read the previous books in this series, you need too. Fun, sweet, and loads of lovable. I'm loving this author’s reads so much😘😘

I kiss her once before heading back out to the deck. She tastes like crisp wine and a hint of spice. She tastes like everything I ever wanted.

BOY TOY, the third installment of the ”Man Hands” series was filled with numerous laugh out loud moments, steam, and even some heart-aching angst. The pace of the story flowed smoothly, so much that never once did I feel that I wasn’t completely entertained. I was fully engaged with the plot and loved most of the characters.

I love a romance between an older woman and a younger man. The age difference isn’t really that huge. Sadie is six years older than Liam. What makes them seem worlds apart is the fact that Sadie used to babysit Liam and his younger siblings when he was fourteen, and she’s also a single mother to precocious twin daughters. But we learn quickly that Liam is more than just a pretty face with a hot body. This guy is every woman’s dream come true. I honestly felt that he was the star of this story.

We are given both Sadie and Liam’s POVs through alternating chapters. Liam was such an amazing character and I was rooting for him to finally get the woman of his dreams the entire time, and I loved his relationship with little Kate and Amy. While Sadie was a frustrating character at times, I understood her hesitance to take a chance with her heart again.

Here are my overall ratings

***IT'S ALIVE!!!***

Age really doesn't matter...

I absolutely LOVED THIS STORY!!! It was so relatable and made me feel so connected to the characters. I blubbered like a baby at one stage. Any reader who has had kids and feels a smidge of self-consciousness from their post-baby bodies will get it. Poor hubby walked in as I was wiping the tears from my eyes. He then faced the *Do you still love me?* emotional and hormonal interrogation. I got the eye-rolling, she’s reading another emotional book, my life is tough, face. As you may have guessed, we’ve been here before…a time or two.

Poor Sadie, she’s a battered and bruised (emotionally not physically) woman who works full-time, feels guilty about it and hates that her kids must go to childcare. She’s also feeling undesirable, worn out and a wee bit sexually frustrated. Her ex-husband was and still is an absolute DOUCHEWAFFLE of epic proportions. Every time he made an entrance (or lack of), I wanted to kick him where the sun doesn't shine.

At Sadie’s most vulnerable time, the most gorgeous man comes into her life and nothing will ever be the same again.

Oh my lordy, I LOVED Liam!! I just sat here for two minutes trying to think of a way that he wasn’t perfect and I honestly can’t. Luckily, we get a little glimpse of what he’s thinking and geez he’s so cute and sweet. The facts are the facts – 1. He’s Hot!! 2. He’s great with kids!! 3. He’s smart!! 4. He’s sexy!! 5. He’s thoughtful, sweet, considerate, caring and loving… I really could go on and on…SEE PERFECT!!

Poor Liam has a few obstacles he must navigate to get to his HEA. For starters, he’s younger than Sadie. Now, back in the olden days (5 maybe 10 years ago), I had “issues” with the guy being younger. It’s like a few authors got together to prove my “issues” are stupid. More times than not, I’ve felt like a twit for ever having those “issues”. If it’s the right couple, at the right time, in the right place, it doesn’t matter what your bloody age is.

Liam also has to beat Sadie’s past. He’s got to prove his love and devotion and convince her that he’s in for the long haul. I think anyone facing a relationship after a divorce has these concerns and Liam is thankfully aware of her doubts and makes allowances for it.

Seriously, this was another fantastic instalment to the Man Hands series. The characters were funny, a little crazy but refreshingly real. The sexy times were SEXY!! The storyline kept my attention from start to finish and I was left extremely satisfied. I really hope Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby will continue their writing together in the future.

5 Be Still My Heart Stars

OMG... I just needed to take a breath...This book was everything I love...You had just the right amount of humor, concern, curiosity, hope and so many Swoon-Worthy Moments...I lost count. Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby created a couple which made me disappear from my everyday life and slip into Liam's and Sadie's...

We had the idea of an older woman younger man...yet even though there was about six years difference??? I think that really wasn't the true concern. It was part of the book but for the most part, it was the idea of a woman's self-esteem being torn down by her ex-husband after she gave him twins.

As women, we are so caught up in body image and how we think those who love us see us (meaning A@@hole EX). It is so easy to lose who we are if we constantly are put down, made to feel less then... and then experiencing an exclaiming it is your fault he cheated!

This is what Sadie Maxwell has been experiencing.
She is now officially a single mother of two-year-old twins and about to deal with having them start daycare. She is a capable mom, having every single need packed and available should a situation happen. Her girls are amazing and completely different. She has managed them from the start, with an ex who never helped at all.

Sadie is strong, fun, and has her girl crew. They have supported her just like she had them over the years. She is now the odd one out as both have found their guys...They have held her hand while she has adjusted and now want her to get out there and experience Life with a Capital L.

As Sadie finishes walking her girls into the daycare center, a man starts walking to her with a full smile on his face...His eyes are sparkling and when he opens his mouth to say hello...

She is stunned....here in front of her, all tall and hunky in the way which just works so well is this was the fourteen-year-old boy, who with his 8-year-old sister, Sadie babysat when she was nineteen.

Who da knew he would turn out so fine...WOW

Liam McAllister cannot believe his first love... and really maybe his only love is walking into the daycare he is working to research his program for child development. There, plain as day, is Sadie Maxwell, his first crush and person he has always held close to his heart. Years ago she came to babysit mainly, his sister and him. He was fourteen at the time and what was so cool about Sadie was that she never made him feel like she was there for him in that way.

Instead, it was kinda like he was helping her with his sister...and then after him helping her, they would watch horror movies late into the night. Sadie would talk passionately about classic film, plot points, all sorts of things. He fell hard and it never left him.

Now as a twenty-nine-year-old man, Liam has lived. He has found his personal calling, raising children to be as well rounded as possible. He knows from experience what it felt like to be raised by nannies and others. He has experienced women and made sure they all were respected and taken care of first...and he has maintained his body to serve him well by running miles and miles.

In other words, he is the full package...yup, drool-worthy....and this is the man presenting himself to Sadie. She is now thirty-five and feels like anything that could happen between the two of them would fall into Cougar territory.

So, this is the setup, and the authors run with it. But as I said, there was so much more to this story that grabbed my heart and mind. Liam is a joy... Period. He is everything a woman would want no matter the age or any other situation. He was so smart and understanding of all of the things Sadie was dealing with...and he had his own stuff he needed to handle. Yet no matter the hiccup, Liam was there for Sadie and her daughters...

Sadie was likable and worked to open her mind and heart. The chemistry between these two was off the charts and we relished in it. Liam's relationship with the twins was so strong, it squeezed my heart.

All of the secondary plot points and characters worked. The ex was the perfect sh#t and her girl crew was as solid as solid could be. The only thing I which gave me pause was the deal five/six years difference between Sadie and Liam could make her think she was a Cougar... If the tables had been turned, it would never have been an issue. It only highlights the craziness of age with women and not men.

As you can tell, I truly loved this book. Thank you, Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby! Please keep writing together.

Sadie is a single mum divorcee with two adorable twin 2yr old girls, Kate and Amy. After having nothing but trouble using nannies she decides to put the girls into day care. When she drops them off for their first day the man who signs them in just happens to be someone from Sadie's past who has grown into a sex god!

Here's the thing, I have never been a huge fan of the older woman younger man thing in books but it didn't bother me at all in this. I was 100% cheering for Sadie to get her 'boy toy' after the dickhead she had been married to.

This was a cute, fun and drama free read, I absolutely love this series! I did find this one had less LOL moments than the first two books but it still had some and they were mostly due to the twins. They are super cute and Kate with her sensory issues and helmet wearing had me giggling. I thought the romance was much stronger in this one and the connection between Liam and Sadie was electric.

Liam is awesome, I mean any mum can understand the attraction. A young very fit, single sex on legs man that LOVES kids and is fantastic with them and is also manly it's enough to make a woman's....................

I will keep my fingers crossed for another book in the Man Hands series but I'll read anything these ladies write.

Full disclosure, I requested this book before there was a blurb because I've enjoyed the previous books in the series so much. So when I actually got the book and realized it was an older-woman-younger-man type of story I became really nervous about it since it's not a trope I'm too crazy about. But now that I've read it I'm actually glad that I didn't know the trope or else I might have missed out on reading a great book.

Liam and Sadie were off the charts hot together and I loved the chemistry they had between them. What was even hotter though was how amazing Liam was with Sadie's twin girls. He really jumped right in to her life with no worry about the fact that she had two young kids to worry about. I thought it was great how he never stopped and worried about getting in a relationship with Sadie because of the girls and it made his character the best one yet from this series.

Even though I enjoyed these characters I did still have a little issue with the age difference thing and that's where my 3.5 Stars rating comes in. The main reason this trope isn't my favorite is because whenever I read it it seems like the age different is repeatedly mentioned again and again and always made to be such an issue. And that's what happened in this book. Even when Sadie stopped worrying about how young Liam was and it wasn't an actual issue anymore, it seemed like the authors were still trying to point out that there was a difference in their ages by always brining up the fact that Liam was fourteen when he first met and had a crush on Sadie. After the first twenty times of Liam as a fourteen year old being mentioned it just got a little to much.

Overall, I did enjoy this book and event hough it's not my favorite trope out there in romance-land this was certainly a book I can't regret reading. The characters were fantastic and the story was hot and so very sweet with those adorable twins. Definitely a book I would recommend giving a try.

Liam has been in love with his babysitter Sadie Matthews since he was 14 and she was 20 years old.
15 years later Liam gets the perfect opportunity to seduce her.

Then his tongue teases the seam of my lips. When I open for him, he tastes of cold beer and youth and the kind of fun I haven’t had in a long time. Each kiss is a little deeper. And each one ends as another begins. Strong arms pull me closer to his body, and my brain clicks right off. Instead of thoughts, I hear static, like a dysfunctional baby monitor.
Kissing Liam is the best decision I never really made.

Sadie is recently divorced and now she is a single mother of two adorable twin girls. She remembers teenager Liam, but nothing could have prepared her for grown up Liam.

I simply adore this series. Such feelgood books with plenty of clever humour and slightly angsty situations.
Definitely worth rereading.

Boy Toy is rom com at its finest.

I barely even made it to 20% and I had already cackled, chortled and chuckled.

Sadie is final member of this little sisterhood to find her HEA and the one I identified the most with. She's kind of a hippie chick, loves pillows and works in the mental health field. She's getting her life back together after her butt lick of a husband left her shortly after she gave birth to their twin daughters. Decker is a butt lick. Trust me.

She's reluctantly trying to get her groove back when she runs into a blast from the past: Liam.

She was hired to babysit Liam's younger siblings and left an impression on 14 yr old Liam. I know this because 14 yr old Liam has a tendency to interject thoughts into 29 yr old Liam's psyche to hilarious effect.

Liam is all grown up now and makes Sadie a wee bit drooly with his six pack abs and penchant for running shirtless. To add to the ovary explodingness, he's working towards his Ph.D. in childhood development at the girls' daycare. He's really great with the girls and they adore him. There were so many moments where my heart gave a squeeze: when Amy calls him Wiam, when he gave Kate the golden Band-Aid. So adorable! True, he used his chocolate chip smiley face pancake magic too woo them but he then proceeded to prove himself worthy of their adoration time and time again. Not only that but any guy who will hold your hair while you praise the porcelain god is deserving of a little adoration, in my opinion.

So, yeah, I liked Liam. More importantly, I loved Liam and Sadie together.

There's something about this known-each-other-for-years/unrequited to requited trope that always appeals to me and Boy Toy is another to add to the collection. I can see it becoming a comfort read.

Both Sadie and Liam came across as genuine. Both had depth with the addition of a little water under the bridge that fleshed them out. Both do a pretty good job of communicating their needs excepting the very brief hiccup that was needed for Sadie to gain clarity. The level of attraction that exists between them was palpable but maybe more important than anything else, they have fun together. They fit together regardless of the 6 yr age difference between them. They make time for each other and trust one another making their future a foregone conclusion to my mind.

There is a teeny tiny sliver of hurt/comfort as Sadie's ex did a number on her self-image but in the face of Liam's overwhelming desire that negative self-image doesn't stand a chance. If bossy in the bedroom appeals to you, you'll enjoy the sexy times.

There are a plethora of comedic moments but Kate and Amy stole the show. I was laughing so hard at Kate at the big fancy party that I had to put my kindle down. Because I couldn't see it! The kid is a firecracker and her antics are side-splitting.

I sure do hope these two authors continue to work together because they have some mojo that creates comedy gold. This and Man Hands are the funniest books I've read this year, so I hope the hits keep coming. Maybe a spinoff involving Sadie and Liam's siblings? Or a follow up to this one?

Recommend this book and this series to fans of the rom-com and anyone who likes a sweet romance that's a little bit spicy and a whole lot funny.

Boy Toy can be read as a stand alone.

When I saw that Teddy Hamilton was one of the narrators for Boy Toy I one-clicked that audiobook soooo fast. If your ears haven't had the pleasure of listening to Teddy yet, you need to make that happen. He is a serious wonder, and I wish more authors used him. While on the subject of narrators, I was worried that Tanya Eby wouldn't hold her own, but I was pretty surprised by how great she was, especially with her male voices. Bravo to her.

Now, the story itself took me almost a month to get through, which is saying something. It isn't bad, not at all, but the start of the book felt a bit dull and a bit tropey. I also got really tired of hearing about Liam's "inner fourteen year-old." Yeah, we get it, he used to have a crush on Sadie, stay in the NOW, dude.

However, just when I was ready to write this story off as just meh, the last 25% rolled around. Though there was still some unnecessary drama, the ending was so stinking cute that I felt that the story totally redeemed itself. Plus, I have to give a bonus star just for that killer narration. Teddddddyyyyyyyyy!

Being a single parent to twins is no easy feat. When Sadie is forced to enrol her girls into Daycare, their carer is none other then the fourteen year old boy she once babysat for. Except the sweet boy has been replaced by a drool worthy man with the Midas touch.

Liam can't believe he is seeing Sadie after all these years. Not only does he have fond memories of her, she was his first ever crush. Realising that she's divorced makes her fair game. Well here's to hoping....

"But it’s not to be. Sadie’s always been my fantasy, and that’s all she’ll ever be. Half the time she still looks at me like I’m fourteen, and I’m not sure how to get her past that."

Sadie's not blind. Apart from Liam being utterly gorgeous, how appropriate would it be to sleep with a younger man? And would he really want to? With an ex that's left her with low self esteem and a dry spell too embarrassing to discuss, does she really want to pass up on what Liam is offering? Ah no!

"This is happening," I tell her.

"Wh-what is?"

"You and me. Naked on a bed. Or a kitchen counter, or in the shower."

Boy Toy is essentially a romantic comedy. It was funny in parts especially Liam's inner musings, however this story was so much more. Liam is genuinely in love with a woman who will potentially never return his feelings. But he's prepared to risk it all just for a chance to be with Sadie, even if it's under the ruse of sex only. Even though this story was humorous and steamy, it was also heart warming and very relatable.

I loved everything about this book! It was sweet, hot and LOL funny #hiddenvalley. There’s nothing sexier than a man who loves kids, which pretty much makes Liam the sexiest book boyfriend around.

3.5 STARS

I think most of my friends know by now how much I love Sarina Bowen. I've come to love Tanya Eby in equal measures. When they team up the result of their collaboration is always fabulous. Their writing style meshes so well and is so homogeneous that as a reader you don't know where one ends and the other begins. It's pretty awesome.

Anyhoo...Boy Toy is the third of their laugh-out-loud, thigh-slapping series. While I gobbled this installment up I didn't love it as much as the first two. I think Sadie just wasn't what I expected. Insecurities are a terrible thing and can ruin relationships. I hated it for her that her ex was such a douche canoe who made her think that she wasn't attractive. But Liam...Gahd...this man...he was perfection. He could make the ugliest duckling feel beautiful. I loved how starry-eyed he was for his teenage crush.

For Sadie to hold on for so long on the fact that he was younger didn't make sense to me anymore at some point and it was Brynn and Ash who broke it down for Sadie:

"Sooooo...let me get this straight. He loves you and he loves the girls..."
"Yes!" I cry.
"What a dickhead," Ash says. "I mean how dare that douchenozzle recognize how awesome you are and love you for who you are!"

I thought her fears regarding the age difference were going on for a little too long, even after she realized that it didn't matter. She had no reason to deny him and I felt at some point that she didn't even know herself why she kept doing it.
He wants to stay and I want him to stay, but I’m forcing him to go. And I don’t know why.

That's a cop-out and only serves to draw out the drama. Something a good guy like Liam didn't deserve.

You may have guessed it but the character who made this story for me was Liam. He was so good, so hot, so sweet. And the way he was with Sadie's twins was the sweetest thing ever. Speaking of...they gave me some really good laughs, especially Kate with her football helmet.

While this may not be my favorite in the series I still enjoyed BOY TOY a lot and was well entertained. It doesn't have the endless string of punchlines of Man Hands and it doesn't have the tension from Man Card but it's still a lovely addition to this series. Tanya Eby and Sarina Bowen did well and I hope they keep going on writing in tandem.

We already met Sadie in the first two books. (But you can totally read this book as a standalone though - but you should also definitely read the amazingly hilarious first 2!!)
Sadie used to be married - more or less happily. Now she's a single mom to her two adorable 2-year-old twin girls Kate and Amy.

Enter Liam - he's working at the day care center where Sadie has to park her girls every morning.

Liam used to be madly in love with Sadie. 15 years ago, when he was a pimply 14 year old and Sadie was the hot 20 year old nanny for his younger siblings.

Liam is still mega-attracted to Sadie - he could definitely see something long-term. But Sadie couldn't start anything with him, right? She's not a cougar!!! But he's sooooo hot and nice and amazing with the girls ... ugh .....

WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO SADIE & LIAM???
WILL THERE BE A HEA??
READ THE BOOK TO FIND OUT ☺

ADORABLE!

I loved every moment of this story.

The three girlfriends together are hilarious!
The toddlers are mega adorable!

Sadie and Liam together are SPARKAGE!

They would be so amazing together, but of course poor Sadie thinks it would be wrong to date such a young guy. The babysitter of her kids!

But five years younger is nothing! 29 is the perfect age for a guy, right???!!!☺

And then there's also the fact that Liam might have to leave the country for his university research stuff for a few months ... Added to that are problems with her ex husband and his parents ....Those two definitely have some stuff to overcome until we can ride off into our happily ever after sunset together!

This was such an amazingly adorable and funny and sexy and swoony romance with some serious moments and problems thrown into the mix!

What's hotter than a sexy guy being all adorable with those two twin girls? Ugh!

description

Those two little girls are soo cute. I love the little future football player with her helmet! LOL!

I adored this book and I really hope those 2 ladies will bring us something new one day soon!
There's still Sadie's sister and Braht's brother left to find partners for! And I wouldn't mind reading about Liam's siblings either! So that's 5 more possible books by those 2 amazing writing partners! YAY!

Another thing I really like - the setting of these books. We're in Grand Rapids, Michigan. No book has ever stepped foot into Michigan. I really love it when we're in a real place. Not some imaginary town in Anywhere, USA.

BOY TOY was such an amazing romance!
• Funny • Sexy • Sweet • Serious • Perfect •

Boy Toy is everything you want in a romantic comedy. First, you have a great storyline. Second, you have amazing characters. Third, it is hot. HOT. And four, it couldn’t be funnier. Boy Toy is the real deal. It doesn’t get any better than this. Seriously.

First of all, Boy Toy can be read as a standalone. You don’t need to have read either of the previous two books to enjoy it. Having said that, I totally recommend reading the other books in the Man Hands series because they are freaking awesome.

I loved Boy Toy. Don’t get me wrong, this book is hilarious. I couldn’t stop laughing. But it is so much more. It has so much depth. You feel for Sadie because her issues are relatable to many women. Even if you are not a mother (single or otherwise), you can empathize with her situation. The age difference is not that great, 6 years is not something to frown upon, but it can be daunting for a woman dealing with body-image issues and low self-esteem. And Liam is just the sweetest book boyfriend you’ll ever find. He’s hot, sexy, empathetic, and great with kids. He’s the nanny, but you’ll find soon enough that he’s not a regular one.

Boy Toy is a beautiful and hilarious story about healing, the meaning of family, and love. It is exceptionally well written, steamy and smart. Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby have written one of the best romantic comedies I have ever read. It is really great. Wonderful. It is freaking amazing. If you like to laugh, you should read Boy Toy. You will never regret it.

BOY TOY! You know, this series is so fun. RomCom isn’t my usual but this whole series is hilarious without being ridiculous, just right in the sweet spot for me.. Sadie is best friends with Brynn and Ash from the previous books in this series. They are all very different characters but seem to bring out the best in each other. Their friendship is both supportive, and galvanizing. Sadie was married in the first book and a new mom to twin girls. As the series progressed we witness the eventual demise of her marriage, which is one of those, it’s painful to see, but thank goodness she got away from that jerk scenarios. We’ve all witnessed one of those right?

The May/December trope is amusing, especially since Sadie used to babysit Liam. She resists getting involved, but in the end Liam is irresistible. He’s this wonderful early childhood focused MANNY at the preschool where Sadie reluctantly enrolls her twins. She shares fears that many working moms have, and her attitude was very relatable to me. Tons of opportunity for fun with the adorable twins, and an for idiot ex-husband. Sadie manages to see her self as more than therapist and a single mom, and Liam finally gets the woman of his dreams right where he’s always wanted her.

I know I’ve told you before how much I adore Sarina Bowen, (still true). This duo creates a winning balance of meaningful emotion, funny dialogue to deliver the perfect relaxing weekend read. Grab it!

Fab role reversal rom-com….

This series has had me laughing and turning the fan on high since the turn of the first page of Man Hands. A trio of friends finding their ‘one’ in very different, but equally entertaining and humor-filled ways meant a trilogy of feel good reads that has ended with Boy Toy. I eagerly awaited Sadie’s story and it was as unconventional as it was heart-warming….

Not only was this a younger man/older woman trope, a second chance (though some may argue this) but also a change-up of the traditional man-woman roles as well. If you weren’t a fan of any of these storylines, don’t worry, you will soon become a convert. Liam and Sadie are just that good…

Liam was sexy, great with kids and still suffering the worst (or best) girl crush he’s had since he was fourteen. Hearing his inner voice wrestle with his then teenage self and the very grown up man he has become was hilarious as well as touching. His pursuit of Sadie was not just a blast from the past but a here and now falling in love over again. Sadie had her doubts and many, many misgivings but under Liam’s relentless, and irresistible charm, she tried to resist. Oh she tried…
Funny, with many pings to the heart, this is a love story that faced every challenge head on with grace and humour. Save this book for a day when you need a massive pick me up – it will do the job nicely! ~Diane, 4.5 stars

Nothing is sweeter than a single parent romance – unless you up the ante by making the single parent a mom of twin toddlers. You’d better brace yourself for cuteness overload in Boy Toy, the third standalone rom-com in the wildly entertaining Man Hands series.

Sadie is raising her two-year-old twin girls alone with virtually no help from her loser ex-husband. Like many women, she’s trying to balance motherhood with a career and is left feeling frazzled, guilty, and unattractive.

She used to babysit Liam when he was a teenager and Sadie was in college. He’s a man now, and what a fine specimen he has grown up to be! He looks after the twins at the new daycare facility the girls attend. Liam and Sadie’s surprise reunion reignites the huge torch he has carried for her all these years.

I liked that their age difference is addressed, but is not an issue that is beaten to death. Sadie is, however, self-conscious about her post-babies body, and it is difficult for her to believe that a hot younger man would be interested in her. The process of her getting her groove back is both sweet and funny.

Holy Mother of Ovaries! Liam can change a diaper, weight lift a toddler on each arm, diffuse temper tantrums, clean laundry on his washboard abs, cook a delicious meal, and make sweet, sweet love. At the same time. Basically he’s a panty dropping manny superhero. Seriously though, his intellect, sensitivity, and love for young children make him impossible to resist.

If you’re looking for a charming romance that will make you swoon and laugh, you should definitely check out Boy Toy.

“I’ll go home if you want me to. But I’d rather explore every inch of your body. With my tongue.”

Boy Toy by Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby is a laugh out loud romantic comedy that will have you blushing, swooning, and giggling in no time! Liam and Sadie were PERFECT together! I loved their flirtatious dynamic. I loved how Liam wouldn’t give up on the stubborn and beautiful single mother of adorable twin girls. My heart broke for the hit that Sadie’s self esteem took with her now ex-husband. But Liam had no problems with taking care of that every chance he could get. When Sadie finally let her walls down to let Liam in, the pages exploded with so much heart and so much heat! I loved every minute of this delightful, hilarious, and entertaining love story. It was fast-paced, easy to read, and I was smiling the whole way through. Sarina and Tanya have proven over and over again what a great team they make and I hope they never stop writing together.

In my circle, I don’t come across a lot of older woman/younger man romances, which is too bad, because after devouring Boy Toy, I kinda crave more of that certain dynamic. Boy Toy is the third book in the ‘Man Hands’ series but it can be read as a complete standalone. It doesn’t matter what order you read these in, but one thing is for certain…you MUST read them all at some point because they are all AMAZING!

Adorbs.

That is the only word for this bk. The hot and nerdy 29 yr old H who never got over his crush on the h when younger was adorbs. The 35 yr old therapist divorcee h was sympathetic. Her 2 yr old twins were also adorbs.

Loved it!

P.S. I am going to steal “He wants to put ranch dressing on your Hidden Valley” from now on. Because I'm twelve.

P.P.S. I didnt read the two previous bks and it was a-okay. I will get to them eventually.

This was a quick and mostly fun read. Boy Toy was probably my favorite in the series. I love a good story about a divorcee finding love again and even better if it is with the nanny :) IN this case, the nanny is even younger than the heroine, so I was all for it.

Sadie is an overworked mother of twins and her ex is basically trash. Liam is working at the child care center that Sadie's girls go to. Sadie used to be Liam's babysitter and he always had a crush on her. Liam is the sweetest, loving, caregiver and I loved it. The story itself is pretty solid, some silliness but the plot was more substantial than the previous two. I would have liked to have seen Sadie's ex a bit more developed, particularly the big conflict. There was a lot of lead up, then it's just over.

However, I muse absolutely include the following the following gripes I had with it.
There were a few fat jokes that I was not fond of. I gave Man Hands a D because I thought it relied on fat jokes at the heroine's expense. There was one description toward the end that I was not fond of.
"Barb is big and bold and bright, and she’s spotted us. It’s fair to say she’s bearing down on us. Tonight she’s wearing pink, orange, and yellow with beige pants. She looks like a walking scoop of sherbet. She’s twice the size of Brad. When he stands behind her, which is frequently, he actually disappears."
But my bigger gripe is about Sadie's ethnicity. In the first book, Man Hands Sadie is described as being black with brown skin and curly brown hair. It is very clearly defined. In the ARC is received of Boy Toy, there is zero mention of it. In fact, Sadie is described as having vampire skin and also having "honeyed toned" skin. I did reach out to the authors via their publicist and they indicated it was an oversight that would be corrected in later versions. But this is me basically saying this is not okay. As a reader, I pay attention to these things. If in book one a POC character is introduced and then when they get their own book, they are no longer a person of color, this is not good. It may be an oversight, but it feels much grosser than that. Authors, please do better.

I received this book for free from Author in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

I've been excited about this series since reading the first one because I thought it was a cute romantic comedy series.  Humor is often a hard one for me in books because I tend to not go with the flow so much so I don't binge romcoms in general.  That being said, I can't put my finger on how or why some of them work and some don't. But this series is one that always delivers at least and enjoyable experience for me.

BOY TOY is actually my favorite in the series.  It's not quite as funny, I think the title of funniest still goes to book 1 for me.  But it's certainly the most endearing.  The hero is younger than the heroine, she's divorced and raising her two daughters on her own trying to figure out her new role in life as their sole caregiver.  That comes with a set of struggles she's learning to navigate on itself.  And then there's Liam, who happens to be in charge of her kids at the daycare she's using.  But also, he was a teenager she used to babysit (along with his much younger siblings) when she was in college.

I absolutely adored the connection that was there between Liam and Sadie, especially the fact that he's been head over heels in love with her since he was 16.  He's measured up all women against the fantasy of his babysitter and now he actually has a shot.  Their age difference is not huge, but it made for an interesting dynamic in this story.

This is the perfect light hearted and fun story.  I couldn't have enjoyed it more.  From the fact that Liam is incredibly sexy, to the fact he's adorable with the kids AND he also has a good head on his shoulders.  Their chemistry is instant and the pacing just kept me turning the pages.  You won't want to miss this one!

4 Single Mama Stars

Man Hands series will get you laughing out loud and put a smile on your face. What’s not to love with a single mom to two-year-old twins! I know cuteness overload. Also the Hero is five years younger than the Heroine. I don’t usually like it when the Hero is younger, but you know what? It worked for this book and five years isn’t that big of a deal.

Sadie is a busy mom and is going through a divorce. She’s trying to find herself again and here comes Liam, she use to baby-sit his siblings.

Liam has been in love with Sadie since he was 14 and I love it when the Hero chases after the Heroine.

I wouldn’t call this book overly romantic, but it was cute and adorable. It was an easy read and I read it in one sitting. I liked Liam, I thought a hunky boy toy was a cute story and he’s more than a six pack of abs, he truly cares for kids and oh my goodness isn’t that hot?

Overall, a fun and quick read.

What a huge disappointment
If you are on vacation and you like fluffy shallow reads- that's your story.
MCs were unbelievable for me: heroine is a psychologist and with so many issues... Hero was creepy , he was constantly talking with himself when he was 14 years old ("we like her bosom, we'd like to be kissed by her"...)...WTF??!!
He is only 5 years younger, it's almost no difference in age for me...
Funny sometimes, but it didn't keep my interest... I skipped a lot.
She could do better!

❝She smells like flowers. She smells like moonlight and secrets and wishes.❞

I love this duo. Bowen and Eby write as one brain, their collaboration is seamless and deceptively simple, and their stories are hilariously funny, yet tender-hearted. I am a fan for life, and pray they never stop!

Liam fell in love with Sadie when she spent the summer babysitting him and his siblings. Fifteen years later when she walks into the daycare center where he works, all those feelings and thoughts fourteen-year-old Liam had, come to life.
❝I have a confession to make,❞ Sadie says.
Fourteen-year-old Liam immediately reacts. Please say you want to touch my boner! Pleeeeeeease!

Sadie is a newly divorced, single mother of two adorable twin girls. She's not only gorgeous, she's smart and crazy funny. Sadie has to let go of her fears, the guilt associated with her divorce, and the "I shoulds" and "should nots" in order to find happiness. She's convinced dating a younger man is a recipe for heartbreak. And if she had a relationship with Liam, it wouldn't be long before he would find someone younger, sexier and prettier than she.
❝No, No no no no! Thou shalt not perve on the younger man! Shut up, hormones! Oh, hell. I'm a cougar.❞

Liam is such a contrast to the man Sadie divorced. He is loving and kind, tender and smart. He cares about her and her girls. And he's good! Good to her and good to them. It is his goodness that frightens Sadie. She can see a life with him, but in a few months, Liam is leaving to continue his doctoral studies, possibly in a foreign country. And then, what? Where will that leave Sadie and her girls? It's easier to keep him as her side piece than to risk her heart again.

Sadie's sister, Megan is AWESOME! I want my own Megan! She's her sisters biggest cheerleader and always willing to help out with her girls ... **taps the screen** Hey, Bowen and Eby ... Megan is getting her own book, right? RIGHT?
❝Saddle up, cowgirl. Do It. And yes---it's a legit thing that some men love cougars. And that's what you are, right? The horny divorcee out for the prowl for the young stud, ready to educate him and...❞

Tears. I cried tears! Not just from the hilarious moments, but from the touching ones, too! My heart broke for Liam, he is so good and he deserves good! It was hard because I understood Sadie's fears, and "mom guilt", and wanting to do right by everyone, all the while putting her needs, and happiness aside.

In this stand-alone story about first loves, second chances, and self-realization, Bowen and Eby bring us a heart-warming, funny story about a man with a 15-year-old crush and a woman who believes she's too old to be loved.

I was provided a review copy by the author. This did not influence my opinion of the book nor my review.
