Carina Adams, where have you been all my life? This story! These characters! The banter! The sex! I loved it all! I am seriously kicking myself, because this is the first book I have ever read by this author. Why book friends? Why were you guys holding out me?! I am so glad that I finally discovered her, and this awesome story! (No thanks to my “friends.”)

Lucien Chance a.k.a. Lucky, a local college football star, is at work when a beautiful blonde catches his eye. Sunny is looking to have one night of fun before she starts over with a new job and a new life. As the evening progresses, Lucky begins to look more and more like the good time she wants to have. Before long, she is agreeing to go back to his place where they spend the entire night having the most amazing sex of their lives. One night is all it was supposed to be, but when it’s over, they can’t stop thinking about each other.

 photo PicsArt_03-03-11.50.36_zpshybyxmos.jpg

Since Lucky neglected to get Sunny’s phone number, he hopes to run into her at the bar where he works again so they can go for round two. Unfortunately for him, that never happens. Instead, he finds her in the most surprising place imaginable…his Org Behavior class. It turns out that Sunny is actually Emerson Bernard, his new professor.

Lucky is pretty sure banging his teacher will be frowned upon by the university, and Sunny concurs, so they agree to one last hurrah. As you can probably guess, that wasn’t enough for them. Meeting in secret at each other’s apartment becomes a regular occurrence. Lucky and Sunny can’t keep their hands off of each other. Soon, it’s obvious that their connection goes beyond just a physical attraction, but continuing on with their relationship could be detrimental to them both. He could have his scholarship revoked and be kicked off the team while Emerson could lose her job. There is no denying their growing feelings, but is that enough to risk it all?

 photo pagebreak_zpscaredzya.png

Lucky was such a pleasant surprise! It completely exceeded my expectations. The writing is addictive and engaging. I never wanted to put the book down! The romance is sweet, forbidden, and HOT! Those sex scenes are no joke! All I can say is, I think the author has a lot of fun in her personal life. ;) That being said, I didn’t just love the steamy scenes between Lucky and Sunny. I enjoyed all of the moments they spent together. In fact, the times when they opened up to one another, teased each other, went to visit his family, and just hung out were the times I felt their connection the most.

 photo PicsArt_03-03-11.51.02_zpsqeiggtqm.jpg

Lucky! That man had me swooning all over the place. He is pretty fantastic, and if Sunny didn’t want him, I would gladly take him off her hands! Usually, the football player in romance novels is always a manwhore that only finally settles down when he meets the heroine. That is not the case here. Lucky is a one woman man. He is thoughtful, protective, generous, a monster in the bedroom, and an incredible athlete. What I loved most about him was his spectacularly filthy mouth. If dirty talkers are your thing, read this one asap! The cool thing is that in this story, it’s not just the hero that has a dirty mouth. Sunny could make a biker blush with her colorful commentary, and I floved her for it! She is a sarcastic, sassy, smart, strong woman, in other words, everything I want in a heroine.

Why not five stars? I would have liked a little more about what happened to Lucky and his family. It was talked about a lot, but not enough details were given for my liking. Other than that, I adored everything about this book!

All in all, Lucky is a phenomenal forbidden romance that will make you smile, blush, fan yourself a time or two, and tear up when you least suspect it. I recommend this to fans of sports romance and forbidden romance. Hell, if you enjoy romantic books period, read it! This is a good one people! Don’t say I never told you! Now, go add it to your tbr! Buy it! Read it! You won’t be sorry!

That was a really sweet love story with a high steam level. I totally recommend it when you need a light, fun and hot book with low angst.

FORBIDDEN LOVE

Age/social status problem
- Woman older than man (30 / 22)
- Teacher / university student (senior student & star footballer of the school team)

P.S. Their one-night stand is before they become teacher & student

CHARACTERS

Adorable hero:

“Number seven would like you to know that he loves you.”

- No flaws
- Good looks
- Good character
- Very mature
- Trustworthy
- Dirty mouth
- Incredible stamina - 9 rounds in one night... Is it even possible :)?

Adorable heroine:

- Beautiful
- Strong character
- Sassy
- Sexy
- Dirty mouth
- Funny

How do they look together?
- He is big, she is petite …
- He has reddish brown hair and green eyes…
- She is a brunette with navy blue eyes…

About the BOOK and their love story

- Emotional? --> Yes
- Hot? --> Very!!!!!!
- Fun? --> Yesss :)
- Angst? --> Low
- Drama-lama character? --> No
- Cheating? --> No
- Happy end? --> Yes
- Writing? --> Dual point of view

Problems/Criticism:
The low angst & some unexplained things about the characters’ past...

No big deal, actually, but with a little higher angst and more detailed confessions about the past, it could have been a 5-star read.

Also, the bitchy ex of Lucky and as*hole ex of Sunny were not very convincing characters.

Still, I really loved the book, it put a big smile on my face and made me happy.

When you let others in, and their opinions start to matter, you take away the importance of just the two of you.”

Standing up on her toes, she wrapped her arms around my shoulders and moved in for another kiss. I let her set the pace. She nipped at my bottom lip before opening her own and sneaking her tongue out to tease mine. She might as well have kneeled in front of me and run that tongue over the tip of my cock—it had the same effect.

***

I couldn’t wait to do it all over again. I wasn’t sure I would ever get my fill of her.
One-night stand my ass.

***

The thing that angered me the most—the one thing that made my blood boil—was that I couldn’t tell him to back the fuck off. I couldn’t stake my claim, no matter how much I wanted to. I didn’t want him even thinking about her, let alone tell me depraved shit about her.

***

The way his eyes stayed glued to my body told me he liked what he saw. He looked at me the way I imagined the wolf looked at little Red like he wanted to devour me whole. It was sexy as hell.

***

“I’ve been waiting for you, Sunshine. Just like you’ve been waiting for me.”
I started to argue, but he interrupted. “This is going to happen. You and me? We’re gonna be an us.”

***

“The universe made me wait for you. I’m not waiting another second.”

***

We didn’t match up. Not on paper. Not in person. Somehow though, we just made sense.

***

“Lucky... There are parties all over campus tomorrow night, just to celebrate you and the team. You should go out with your friends. Celebrate if you win. Commiserate if you lose..."
“Do you know what I do when I win a game, babe?”
“Go out drinking with the guys?”
“I fuck. Hard.”

I swallowed, trying to keep my thoughts straight.

“Do you know what I do if I lose a game, babe?”
“Go out drinking with the guys?”
“I fuck,” was his response. “Harder.”

So sweet!

It was such a sweet read! I really loved these two together, they were perfect.

It's definitely a book worth reading, especially if you're looking for something fun, sweet and easy. I absolutely adored the Note for the Reader. I don't usually read those (shame on me!) but this one caught my attention. It's why I gave this book 4 stars, not 3.

I need more books like this!

"We didn’t match up. Not on paper. Not in person. Somehow though, we just made sense."

Sweet funny lovely read. Loved both MCs. Despite age difference (H 22, h 30) they just clicked and fit.
The hero words and actions were mature and manly for his age. Damn, many men in their 40s can’t hold a candle to him.
Strong sassy heroine. Loved their funny verbal “battles”.
Cute epilogue.
“It’s completely trite, but age is just a number. The questions and strange looks from others will get annoying. Everyone will expect you to fail. If one of you screws up, it will automatically be blamed on the age difference. Yet if you love each other, it’s no one else’s business. Your relationship is between two people. When you let others in, and their opinions start to matter, you take away the importance of just the two of you.”

This 22 years old is definitely more mature than my 22 year old ex husband. He acted like 22 months at that age throwing tantrum. Lucky, was a man, not a boy. A very honourable and loving man!
Look, if this trope isn't for you, it isn't. But there is nothing wrong with an older woman younger man trope. If there's going to be age gaps, I'm willing to accept it for both genders.
Lucky was amazing! He's a 5 star hero.
Sunny was a 5 star heroine.
Max and Allan are 5 star friends.
Main reason why the book lost a star:
1. One part of the book where sunny thought lucky was back with his ex, the barbs she threw with some sexual jokes, I wasn't comfortable with. It was harmless, but not to my taste.
2. Sunny's ex. For gods sake, please punish the bad guys. Let karma win at least in fiction! He needed to die a violent death.
3. Same goes for lucky's ex and Cash. They got off REALLY easy. And what the hell was her problem? I didn't get it. She would whore around yet he needs to wait for her untouched? I think she might have been reading too many HPs and gotten the gender mixed up.
4. It seemed a little less believable that lucky's parents had NO issues with him dating an older woman. However, if we DO get more parents like this in real life, it would be a nicer world.
This is not a perfect book, as Alex already pointed out. But then again life isn't perfect. This is definitely a solid 4 star read. I'm so glad I picked this one up. My heartfelt thanks to Alex.

Such an enjoyable read!

I honestly can’t remember how I came across this book or why I added it to my tbr but I’m so glad I did!

I had a great time reading it and I couldn’t put it down! I don’t know why but it got me really hooked and even though I have a ton of things to do I just couldn’t not finish it.

So this is the story of Lucky (H) and Sunny (h) who meet at a bar in August, and they have a one-night stand. Turns out though, that Sunny will be teaching one of the classes Lucky has in the next semester and their relationship is forbidden.

I loved their conversations, their comebacks and basically everything between them. Sunny might be one of the sassiest heroines I’ve ever read about, and I loved that about her. Lucky is an alpha male but at the same time such a sweetheart. He had a terrible early life but he loves and cares so much for everyone around him (even his crazy ex).

The only reason I decided to lower my rating was the last chapters (minus the epilogue, this was amazing). There were full of drama that didn’t really work for me and so many characters were part of it that somehow, I got lost. Not gonna lie, though, I was hooked by it.

I’d love to read Lexi’s story and I’ll definitely check out more books by Carina Adams. 4 ⭐

You all know I sometimes struggle with the male POV. But, I'd just come off the LONGEST book EVER, see my last review of The Last Hour of Gann, and I was in desperate need for a good contemporary romance. Lucky by Carina Adams, definitely fit the bill for me.

This book switches back and forth between the male and female main character POV of Lucky and Sunny. Anyone who follows me, knows that I generally don't do spoilers, so I will just say, that this book is hot as hell... it has some of the BEST lines and I truly laughed out loud in parts. The snappy, rapid fire banter did not disappoint. The part where the male MC thinks back on when he will tell his grandchildren he knew he was in love with their grandmother... *snort*, pure comedic genius!

As well as one of my fave lines from the book... "You can’t stop the inevitable, and the sun always rises." Seriously... *squee* But, more than that, it had a solid plot, a great hook and kept me interested throughout. I was intrigued by the side characters as well, and would hope that Ms. Adams would think about writing a companion book about the rest of the cohorts. To quote our lovable MC, "One night stand, my ass."

4.5 stars, which I will slant up and rank as a 5 on good reads and amazon both, because they won't let us give half star ratings, which I think is wrong...LOL!

Thank you to the author for sending me an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Where have you been all my life, Carina Adams?! Seriously, I loved this one! When I was contacted about reviewing this book in exchange for an honest review, I almost said no because I am so behind on my ARCs, but I didn't, and I am SO glad I didn't. This book promised a dirty talking, football playing, alpha hero in a forbidden romance with his college professor. How could I say no to that? I am happy to say that this one definitely delivered.

When Sunny and her best friend are out at a bar, the last thing Sunny expects is to end up flirting with the young hot bartender, Lucky. With a little encouragement from her best friend, Sunny ends up leaving with him and proceeds to have a really hot one night stand. Lucky wants to see her again but she convinces herself to leave it at the one night. Imagine her surprise when she starts her brand new teaching job, and Lucky walks in as one of her students. They tell each other that it can't happen because of her job and he doesn't want to get expelled or lose his scholarship, but they can't keep their hands off of each other.

One of the things that I was worried about not liking in this story was the age gap between Sunny and Lucky. For some reason, in other stories it just wasn't my cup of tea. I actually didn't end up minding it at all in this one! The age gap is a nonissue for Lucky. Sunny has moments when she feels insecure about it but I loved that she never made it into a huge deal or problem either. Lucky has had a rough past and is very mature for his age, so I think that helped a lot. I was also a little worried about ex drama, but that too was minimal at best.

This was what I would consider a feel good story. It was low on the angst, and some of their banter had me laughing out loud. The chemistry between the two of them was off the charts hot! There were a good amount of steamy scenes in this one and I loved every page of it! lol! Carina Adams did a great job of adding some really sweet tender moments between the two of them as well, so you were really rooting for them the whole time.

This was my very first read by Carina Adams and I would definitely recommend this one to anyone out there that loves a dirty talking alpha hero, with a tender side. I will definitely be picking up more of Adams' books in the future!

My first taste of Lucky was last year when I read the short version Lucky Chance in the anthology Hot for Teacher Anthology: 19 Stories Filled with Lust and Love. It was ridiculously delicious then and it surpassed itself now as a full length story!

OH BE STILL MY HEART ... Lucky and Sunny both stole my heart with this one! Excellent dialogue with ridic chemistry. These two had me swooning at every page!

You are going to love this "One night stand, my ass." story! #TRUST (seriously)

I'll admit that I overlooked this book a few times. Then a GR friend (Alex) reviewed it and peeked my interest. Overall I would say this was a win. I liked the MC's, however, it took me some time to actually warm up to the Hero.

This was due to how he was initially portrayed. The things he would say and his thought process led me to believe that he was quite the manwhore and for a while I worried that he would hook up with OW before him and the heroine came back together (I want to say there was maybe a month or 6 weeks between the H and h initially meeting and then being reintroduced). It wasn't until almost 1/2 the way though that we found out he had been in a 3 year on again/off again relationship from which he never strayed. What went on during the off again times I couldn't honestly say because besides the one serious GF he had no other women were mentioned.

I liked the heroine. She was spunky and was written in a mature way. There was no teenage/young 20's drama with her. She didn't go off on jealous rants and she was level headed when it came to situations. I liked her snark too :-)

The reason I can't give this 5 stars though is because I felt like the author touched on some things and then dropped them(depression, ex drama). There was also very little info about the resolution - it just "taken care of". I was also disappointed to see that there wasn't any resolution for Josh and Loretta. I don't know if they will get a book or not but seriously dude..shit or get off the pot! Plus the fact that Loretta allowed herself to be strung along for almost a decade....not cool!

Will I read more of this author...I honestly don't know. She made a point to state that this was completely different and a lot lighter than she normally writes. While I could handle this I just don't know if I could handle anything darker or more angst driven.

“He actually said the words, ‘I want you
in my bed when I get home. Naked. So I
can fuck you hard’? Obviously, I’m
paraphrasing. But he said that?”
“He did,” I admitted.
“I need to Google him.”
“Blossom! No, you don’t.”
“I do. Because I had been drinking that
night. I need to know what you see so I
can help you make the right choice.
What’s his real name?”
“Lucien Chance.”
“You’re fucking a man named Lucky
Chance? I can’t even…” Then she
groaned. “God, I think I’ve just come.
There is no way he can look that good
and talk that bad, or there would be no
question in your mind.”

Oh man, this thing is so fluffy and sweet it will give you a toothache.

“I’ve been waiting for you, Sunshine. Just like you’ve been waiting for me.”

Sunny is a great heroine. She doesn't take any shit from anyone, for starters. Her flirting with Lucky is also pretty spectacular.

“Baby, if you don’t know, maybe you should let me take over.”

The hero, Lucky, is a refreshing change from the Alpha assholes prevalent in so many romance novels. Once he lays eyes on Sunny, he's a one-woman man. And he'd rather teach her to cook her own meals than force her to depend on him.

“Four years? He had you for four years, and he didn’t marry you?”

The age difference was the only thing I was a little leery of going into this, mostly because I wasn't sure how it was going to be handled. Lucky and Sunny are only 8 years apart, but depending on the life experiences, 8 years can be a lot. Fortunately, Lucky and Sunny are incredibly similar in their personalities and goals, so it isn't nearly as skeevy as it could be.

One trope I avoid like the plague in romance novels is the teacher/student thing, so if I'd known Sunny would end up being Lucky's college professor, I would definitely have skipped this one. BUT the author manages to avoid a lot of the cliches I expected to come across, so kudos to her for managing to make me root for them anyway.

🌟🌟🌟1/2

Plot: Lucky works part time at a college bar and is a star football player. One night, he meets an older woman, Sunny. She’s nine years older than him and unbeknownst to him, a new professor at the college. They have a memorable ONS and she leaves without getting any real contact info. When Lucky shows up in her class, they try to navigate a relationship while keeping it a secret.

Hero: Lucky is 21. He’s a good guy with a heart of gold. He was adopted as a child and has some emotional issues he deals with resulting from his time with his birth parents. It wasn’t a good situation.

Heroine: Sunny just got out of a relationship where the man used her for professional gain. He constantly put her down and she’s just now getting some of her confidence back.

Opinion: This book was a fun easy read. A little angst, but not much. It was hot, hot, hot.

Safety/Experience level: There was an obsessed ex who chased after him for her own personal gain. Too many times, he mentioned past sexual practices with other women. Neither were virgins. She had vague mentions of her past. Enough to say they were both experienced. Condoms were used throughout.

Push/Pull: He was the main pursuer. She was a little more conscious of her age in comparison.

Ending: HEA: Married with babies.

Would I read again? Sure

I fell in love with Lucky when this was released as a teaser novella in an anthology and I waited, not so patiently, for the entire story. So feel lucky (hehe) you get the entire version to devour at one time. I loved the sexiness of the beginning but the trueness that followed had me loving Lucky even more. Now go get Lucky!

Just barely 3 stars. Aside from them fucking like bunnies, nothing interesting happens until maybe the last quarter of the book. I kept reading because I kept getting teased about some backstory with both characters, but it was never really delivered. I ended the book feeling blah. ***beware the typos in this one!***

LUCKY!!! Holy crap on a cracker did I LOVE this book! Lucky, Lucky, Lucky!!! This is the first book that I have read by Carina Adams and she has gained yet another new fan/reader. I can't wait to find the time to read more of her work. I generally do not go for the ginger, but holy shit does Lucky pack a smokin' hot dirty mouth to go along with his football star status. I am a sucker for a dirty talkin' man. Something about it just sucks me in and I did not want to put this book down. I read it in just a few hours and now I want to reread it!

Nothing is more important to Lucky than his family, but playing college football and being one of the team captains is just about as important to him. He has spent the majority of his young life trying to bury the past and make a future for himself. He is fiercely protective his younger sister and those that mean the most to him. He spends his nights tending bar and spending time with his closest friends. One night while tending bar, Lucky meets Sunny. She is the first girl who can put up with his banter and can dish it right back. The banter between the two of them is Awesome!!! Lucky sets his sights on Sunny and wants nothing more than to have her warm his bed for one night. But once he gets a taste of the sexy as sin older woman, he can't stay away.

Sunny has just accepted a new position as a professor, teaching Org Behavior. She is looking for a fresh start and a life with less drama and heartache. When her relationship with her ex ended very badly, she found her life nearly ruined in the process. Now she has the chance to make a new life for herself and a one night stand seems to fit right into her plans. What she never expected was to see the man that literally rocked her world sitting in her class the following week. Sunny can't seem to stop thinking about Lucky and the way he made her feel. But he is her student and she can't take the chance of her reputation and life being put through the wringer again. Will one night be enough or can Sunny find a way to hide her late night dates with Lucky or will it all come crumbling down around them? Leaving them both trying to rebuild their lives once again.

I loved Lucky's character. He is sexy, smart, mouthy, gorgeous, protective and loyal. He works hard, both on the field and off. He is dedicated to his family and so sweet and sexy with Sunny. I loved the banter between the two of them and found myself laughing out loud several times. The sex between them was hot, hot, hot!!! Talk about a pantie soaker! The one thing that I would have liked to read more of was his back story. We only got bits and pieces of what happened in his past and though what we do get to read is heartbreaking, the entire story just wasn't there. Sunny had me laughing like crazy at times. I loved how she could hold her own when it came to bantering with Lucky. She wasn't afraid to tell him what she was thinking or what she wanted. I loved how her heart and head battled with what she really felt for Lucky. They make the most perfect pair!

Overall, Lucky is a smokin' hot, sexy as sin, read. Filled with plenty of hilarious moments and a heroine who can banter with the best of them. Throw in a tattooed, dirty talkin', football playin' ginger and you have the makings of an awesome story! Lucky is well written, the characters are engaging and likable, make that lovable. So, if you are looking for a refreshing, sexy read, grab your copy of Lucky and get sucked in from the first few pages just like I was.

Review by Jen Skewes

I love a taboo romance especially when it is between a teacher and her student, and there is an age difference between the two of them. Throw in a sexy, sweet and swoon worthy hero that is also written by Carina Adams and you have another fantastic book. It is no secret how much I adore this woman and once again she delivered a book that I loved. She made me laugh and smile and fall in love with yet another one of her heroes. I think with each book of hers I find myself a new book boyfriend to love, but just as a side note I think Matty will always be my favorite. But Lucky Chance is definitely up there.

Sunny and her best friend decide to go to Hooligans for a night of fun. And a night of fun is what she finds, in the form of one very sexy and young bartender. From the moment they meet you can feel the chemistry between Sunny and Lucky. She is feisty and beautiful. He is sweet, but at the same time cocky and sexy. They both agree that it is nothing more than a one night stand and in the morning they will go their separate ways. But when it is time to say goodbye it is harder than either one of them thought it would be.

Weeks go by and niether one of them can stop thinking of the other. Then fate steps in and brings the two of them together again, except it is in a way that they did not expect, a way that makes the two of them being together completely impossible. They agree to one more night and then to move on, except after that they both want so much more. She is his teacher and getting caught could mean losing her job. He is a star football player and he could lose his scholarship. Is the risk of being together worth it?

I loved this book. It was a light and fluffy read that just makes you feel good. There was just the right amount of drama and a small look into Lucky’s past which is just enough to make you love him and understand him. Lucky knew what he wanted and he went for it, regardless of the consequences. His feelings for Sunny were so strong that he couldn’t let her go and I loved that about him. He was sweet, kind, protective, funny and oh so sexy. I swear this man had “dirty talk” down to a science. My goodness he could talk dirty like no other. Their chemistry was off the charts and together they were HOT!!! I loved the flirty banter between the two of them. Sunny was the perfect match for him. I cannot say enough about this book. As always Ms. Adams captured me from the very beginning. I could not put this book down and when it was all over I wished that there was more, and that's only because I did not want to say goodbye to these characters. Another fantastic job by Carina Adams.

Lucky was a stand-alone by Carina Adams, but she crafted such awesome characters that I would love a series.

I’ve taken a break from formal reviews for a while, but a couple quick thoughts: I loved everything about Lucky and Sunny. They were both sexy, witty, smart and fun characters. They also both had a backstory that meant they were mature and somewhat serious about life. The storyline had a bit of taboo with Lucky being the star athlete and Sunny his college professor. And mix in a couple crazy exes, witty and loyal best friends, super sexy scenes and you’ve got a great read.

I read a short story about Lucky and Sunny in the 'Hot for the Teacher Anthology' and I had also previously read the Bama Boys books by this author, so I was glad to see she decided to write a full length story for Lucky and Sunny.

I enjoyed the story and the author writes well from the male POV but there was something lacking. The dialogue is witty and Sunny has a smart mouth but she never seemed to take anything too seriously and considering her and Lucky 'dating' could lead to her losing her job as a Professor, it all seemed a bit laid back. Lucky and Sunny have a lot of sex and at times I felt that's all there was to their relationship as they don't spend that much time talking and getting to know each other...well they do, but the author mostly decided to tell us about it rather than show us. I felt Lucky's character was more developed than Sunny's. I could see how he fell in love but it didn't feel as convincing from Sunny's persepctive.

There is an age difference. We know Sunny is nearly 30 but it takes until 70% for us to finally find out Lucky's age - he's 22. He doesn't have a problem with the age gap but Sunny has a few reservations but they're short lived. I didn't understand why the author left it this long to reveal Lucky's age? Plus Sunny could surely have found it out at anytime considering Lucky is one of her students and she would have access to his details?

Lucky acts older than 22 and in fact older than Sunny. We learn about his past but I must admit it was a bit confusing when his family members were introduced then in the authors note it sounds like Lucky's sister has featured in a book but not sure which one?

The ending seemed a bit rushed but overall, I was glad to read their story and glad the author made it into a full length book. I would have liked to read the stories of Max and Josh but Max's was wrapped up in the epilogue but Josh's was left open so maybe we'll read about him and Loretta?!

Molto carino!!

I had to really let this book sink in. Carina trusts me enough to beta read for her so I had to be very honest with her from the start.

Lucky is smoking hot, manly and confident. As his relationship builds with Sunny I was able to see his more vulnerable and caring side. That of course took it to a whole new level. Lucky is one of my favorite male characters Carina has written.

Sunny comes with a little baggage. As the book unfolds and she is questioning her relationship I saw her grow confidence. It was an interesting dance that her and Lucky are involved in.

I absolutely loved the story until the very end. I guess I am one of those readers who appreciates every loose end tide up in a nice perfect bow. I had some questions with how things unfolded and how certain issues Lucky was working through were resolved towards the end. I had to respect how Carina wanted her book to end and not push her (too hard) on filling in every blank I personally saw.

I would highly recommend this book to everyone! It's a lighter (not dark) read from Carina and you will all appreciate Lucky!!

Today this Cougar (Puma) fell in love with a younger ginger named Lucky.

What a great story!! Young Lucien Chance had me laughing, broke my heart with his past and swooning with his dirty dirty mouth.
He met his match with Sunny. She is not only older and wiser but she is hilarious. I may have a small crush on her too.

LOVED this story right up to the epilogue which I hope leads to more books about his siser and best friend Josh.

I can't wait to read what else Carina Adams had written, she just made a new fan!!
