This is a bittersweet ending to the divine Blandings series. PGW only completed sixteen chapters before he passed away, with these pages by his side - but his acuity and benevolence were as acute as ever and these final chapters remain a testament to the ever-sunny if absurdly farcical world of Blandings.

Once again the love-lorn are on track to be reunited, the Threepwood sisters are as formidable as ever, there is a cameo from Daphne Winkworth, Lord Em is still potty - and Gally reprises his r

A bittersweet read. Sunset at Blandings is Wodehouse's last, unfinished chronicle of Blandings and includes a trove of detailed notes on the final stages of the plot, enabling us to watch over his shoulder and observe the master at work.

Although written when Wodehouse was 93, and still unpolished, Sunset at Blandings retains all the usual charm complete with the usual thwarted lovers, disapproving sisters, Lord Emsworth and his prize winning pig, Gally, Beach and other old favourites
