Lauren just got out of an awful marriage. She is hurt and has a hard time trusting people.
She needs healing and she needs a laywer, considering her asshat ex husband is suing her for something he's not entitled to.

description

So she asks help from Ty. The sexy lawyer from town and kind of her friend. He doesn't accept because he wants her and that would be a conflict. But when her ex husband reveals to be more dangerous than they thought he's decided to protect her. And get her in the way.

Storyline: A sweet and sexy romance. Kristen Proby is one of my "auto-buy" author for when I need a pick me up and heartwarming story.
Writing Style: First person. Dual POV. Sweet and engaging.
Character Development: Lauren was a pretty good heroine and I liked how she didn't back down even when she had reasons for it. Ty was amazing. Sexy, sweet and loyal. Buy in Kristen books the guys are always great so that was hardly a surprise.
Steam: Hot.

This is sad. I really liked the first book, and I'm a Kristen Proby fan. I was excited about this book, but OMG THE CHEESINESS. Plus, if I'm 100 pages in and forcing myself to keep reading, that's when I know to stop.
Sorry this one just ain't for me.

Lauren comes from the founding family of the small town she lives in. Tying up the loose ends of her divorce places her right in Ty’s path. When her ex, Jack demands more money from her and threatens her she attempts to get Ty to take the case from his partner who she felt lacked the aggression needed. But Ty won’t take her case for his own personal reasons. Ty has developed a little crush on Lauren, but the timing hasn’t been right until now. Divorced and finally showing a bit of spark, Ty is a force to be reckoned with as he moves in on Lauren.

As Ty breaks through to Lauren, showing her that you can give your trust to a man without him destroying. You just have to make sure you give it to the right man. Lauren opens up to not only Ty, but to Josh, Zach, Jillian and Cara; as her circle of friends expands. But Jack isn’t willing to just let go of his ex-wife and the access he wants to her money. Lauren has kept certain parts of her life hidden to ensure that they remained hers, especially after learning that her ex was only interested in her for the chance to lay claim to her trust fund. As Ty & Lauren fall deeper, Jack’s greed increases leaving Lauren vulnerable a man that has the ability to destroy it all.

When I read the first chapter of this story at the end of Loving Cara I was excited to get Ty’s story and to see where Lauren’s character was going to go... that excitement sort of flickered out as I read this book though. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the writing or characters but there was just something about the story that felt too predictable and even given the circumstances of where this story was heading; the drama was non-existent.

Ty & Lauren fell easily into a routine where love was bound to be the outcome. There was little in the way of angst when it came to these two and their feelings; which I appreciated – their love story wasn’t really what I just felt disconnected to. The drama for me just never built to bring me to the moment in the book where it counted. The plot seemed to be buried too deeply within the development of the romance that it was an ‘out of sight out of mind’ kind of issue. I wanted to feel gutted by the last 10% of this story, but it wasn’t in the cards.

I think this is the first book by Kristen Proby that I didn’t just fall head over hills in love with and I am very disappointed with myself for it. There were a few moments where I popped for the little bits that were sprinkled in, a cameo mention of a certain fictional character that made me grin... I walk away from this read though with a bit of excitement for Jillian and Zach’s story. The sneak peek into the next book and the little moments they shared in this have me ready to see their relationship blossom and I am a sucker for the whole single dad thing – so having Seth be a major part of their story is going to be a bonus.

3 Smutty Stars

Seducing Lauren serves as the second installment in this new series by Kristen Proby. What I adore about this author is her ability to make a story really feel good. To know that the feelings and actions of the main characters are coming from a good place and that they're journey on being together no matter what makes you feel good by the end.

With that said, I liked this book better than the first of the series and that's mainly due to better connection with Ty and Lauren, the main characters. Each of them possessed strong qualities easily attracting me to their story. Lauren's story in particular I found fascinating, it was like an in depth look into a certain world we're all part of in our way so we got a birds eye view of how that magic happens. It was a cool choice to have Lauren represent our book world this way and I highly enjoyed seeing her character in this light. Ty represents a man who know what he wants and makes certain that his woman knows how he feels from the beginning of their time together. He's loyal and protective and fun. There were times the banter between the two left me laughing out loud.

The plot drug a bit for me at times. I thought there could of been more action during some events and even more reaction from certain events. During some points of the story I found myself skimming or becoming easily disinterested. Overall though it was an enjoyable read with two main characters who easily engage. I'd recommend to those of you looking for happy, fluffy romance. It's a fairly quick read and Proby's writing runs fluidly over the pages making it easy to follow.

When I had finished Loving Cara I was intrigued by Ty and Lauren so I'm happy to find they provided a much better story for me than Josh and Cara. At the end of the story I'm even more intrigued to learn of the events that will unfold between Zach and Jillian in Proby's next installment.

I like the story but there's one point I grew tired of it. I think that's around 50% of the book where all I've read are a lot of sexy times to the point it became repetitive. Ty and Lauren are a sweet and romantic couple. I'm in awed on Ty's effort to keep her safe and protected. His efforts of pursuing Lauren and continues to prove he's the right guy for her. Lauren might not be my favorite gal, I commend her for being independent and strong despite being threatened by her douchebag ex-husband.

I guess the story dragged on and there's not much to tell.

4 - "I hope someday comes sooner rather than later." Stars!

The second book in Kristen Proby’s Love Under the Big Sky series gives us Tyler Sullivan and Lauren Cunningham’s story. Both of them were featured in book one Loving Cara but we are given ‘access all areas’ into their lives and their budding relationship, in this instalment in the series.

I have been a big fan of Kristen’s writing for quite a while now, her With Me Series, is one of only a few books that I actually buy in hard-copy to keep on my book shelves at home. After reading Loving Cara, this Series also followed quickly suit, and are an automatic pre-order! Her writing and characters offer you everyday easy-going romance, but what makes them so enjoyable is that they are so well written that the predictability and common-place tropes are just so easy to fully immerse yourself in.

I know without a doubt that I want him. I trust him. I need him in my bed.

Ty and Lauren have a few secrets that they are hiding from the outside world, while Lauren has been dealing with a less than sane ex-husband and divorce, Ty has kept his distance. Now some time has passed, as far as he is concerned all bets are off, and it is time to let her know how he really feels.

”Keep that up Lauren, and I won’t be responsible for fucking you right here on the ballroom floor.”

The feelings are mutual, unfortunately the ‘ex’ problem isn’t as ‘in the past’ as either of them hoped it was. Ty steps up and offers Lauren the support and trust that she craves from a relationship, having lost her parents, he along with his close-knit circle of friends also offer something else that she has lost, and that is a family.

The thought of ever being without him fills me with so much grief it’s debilitating.

I loved this couple, I loved the continuation of the series as a whole, and the simmering tension between Jill (Ty’s sister) and Zack in the background of this story, promises to deliver some interesting results in book three in the Series Falling for Jillian due for release in February 2015.

”You inspire me to dream with my eyes wide-open.”

Attorney Ty Sullivan has been intrigued by Lauren Cunningham for a long time, but he couldn’t do anything about it until her divorce was final. And finally the time has come for him to make his move, to show Lauren that he can protect her and love her like no one else.

Tattooed Ty has starred in Lauren’s fantasies for a long time, she just never expected that he felt the same. And with Lauren’s vile and abusive ex making trouble for her, Ty is the one man she knows who can keep her safe - her bad boy and white knight rolled into one very sexy package.

“I’ll never get enough of you, Lauren.”

Ty is the perfect hero, goodhearted, kind, protective and a bit of a bad-ass with his tattoos. I loved how he was with Lauren, so sexy and sweet, and so determined to make her his. And I loved how protective and possessive he was over her, how he took care of her, making sure she remember to eat when she lost track of time working.

He’s been front and center in many of my fantasies for most of my life.

Lauren was an awesome heroine and I loved her secret job. I also loved how feisty she was and how she stood up to her abusive ex and the awful friends she had before.

The romance was fantastic, so sweet and romantic without any unnecessary drama. And the sexy times were scorching!

I love this author’s books, they always make my heart very happy and this was the perfect sweet and sexy romance. Highly recommended.

After making my grand statement about this series costing too much for ebooks, I bought the rest of the series. I thought it over and decided that even though I still think it's too much, I liked the first one so much and I liked the secondary characters so well, I needed to continue. Here is my rationalization. ...I could buy a few mediocre books for a lesser price and may or may not enjoy them, or buy this book that I know I'll like. Anyway, this was a great story. It was an actual love story with the drama being from outside sources not anything that they had done. They were devoted to each other and didn't even consider straying.

After watching one of his two best friends fall in love, Ty wanted to feel that too. He had his eye on Lo but she had been dealing with some personal drama and he hadn't made his move yet. Once he realized that she may be in danger he knew their time had come. He was sweet, caring and head over heels. There was no pushing away or other drama between them. An epilogue that was a couple months into the future so I hope we get more from this couple. I look forward to the rest of this series.

Quickie Review:

I really had a good time with Seducing Lauren. It wasn't as good as the first book, the pacing in the book was on and off. The first half started off really really strong and I didn't want to put it down. But in the second half, it was much more challenging to stay into the story and be truly invested. I did love the idea of a lawyer hero with a romance author for a heroine who is also at risk of being in danger from her ex. I found the dynamic between them interesting, loved their soft filled relationship. I do find Proby's writing style in how the pair doesn't fight too long what they feel, but seem to embrace their connection. I did find the plot aspect of the ex and how its portrayed throughout the story. I loved the endearing connection that they had together. Really beautifully done despite the issues on the pacing of the story growth.

“Being in love with someone is an unconditional commitment. To love someone isn’t just a feeling, it’s a decision that you make every day, no matter what happens. It’s a judgment. A promise.”

I’ve been a fan of Kristen Proby’s brand of smuttilicious romance ever since I stumbled upon her debut novel many moons ago, and her tales have kept feeding the starry-eyed dreamer in me unfailingly. Just like the With Me in Seattle stories, this series warms your heart and sets your pulse racing all at the same time, but there is a significant shift in pace this time around—the love story flows easily, almost linearly and completely bump-free, the focus laying solely on the growing emotional bond between the characters and the heroine’s personal journey. The sex is more intense, the character development is more layered, and the story centres entirely on finding love when you’re no longer sure you believe in it anymore.

“I’m not a cynic, I’m a realist. We don’t live inside a romance novel. I learned that lesson the hard way.”

Lauren Cunningham is a soon-to-be-divorcée from small town Montana, raised by loving parents but left disillusioned by a husband who used and abused her, and then admitted to marrying her only for her money. She lives a solitary life, with very few friends she can truly trust or confide in, her secret career as a romance novelist filling her days and nights, but with no one in her life to share her success or happiness with. When her estranged husband’s latest demands leave her terrified for her own safety, she seeks the help of her attorney to expedite her divorce, but runs into Ty Sullivan, who takes one look at her and swears to himself to protect her with all he’s got.

My body yearns for her, I need to feel her, kiss her. Protect her.

Ty is a man used to protecting the women in his life ever since he was a young boy. His abusive father showed him exactly the kind of man he never wanted to become. Ty has admired Lauren from afar for a very long time, stepping back while she was married, but waiting for the right moment to approach her ever since her separation. So when Lauren walks into his office, distressed and scared, he cannot help but want to shield her from harm, but also finally claim her as his. The more time they spend in each other’s company, the more his body yearns for her, but instead of pushing her outside her comfort zone and into something she might not be ready for, he offers her something no man has ever given her—kindness and support.

I’ve never had anyone in my life that was here without wanting something from me.

Through the simplest gestures of affection and wanting nothing in return, he shows her what it is like to have a man in her life who only wants to love her and make her happy, and very soon all they can think about is the other. But their romance is not an all-consuming wave of passion driven by the undeniable attraction between them—it is more like a gentle wind that sweeps away all their fears and reservations, allows them to grow comfortable around each other, and gives them a fresh start in life, in each other’s loving arms. They become best friends while they are becoming lovers, completely entrusting their hearts to one another while they surrender their bodies the same way, something that neither of them has ever done before. Under Ty’s adoring touch, Lauren blossoms as a person for the very first time in her life. She grows more self-assured, she starts opening up to the world around her, and she no longer feels the need to rely solely on herself to be happy. Because of Ty, Lauren comes out of her shell—she learns to smile more openly, laugh more freely, and love wholeheartedly. So, even when her past tries to destroy her present happiness, Ty’s unwavering love is all she needs to survive it all.

I have to admit that as much as I truly enjoyed the uncomplicated beauty of the romance between Lauren and Ty, I hoped on more than one occasion for a tinge of angst here and there. Ty is the embodiment of the quintessential ‘prince in shining armour’ who wants nothing more than to save his damsel in distress and ride with her into the sunset, but while their love story is heart-warming and awe-inspiring beginning to end, I personally would have enjoyed the occasional bump in the road to make the happy moments between them even more precious. But that is only because I enjoy flaws more than perfection, and because I always seek stories of delayed gratification.

In so many ways, this story is an example of what relationships should be like between two people who unquestionably belong to one another. I loved that Ms Proby gave us another fearless, independent heroine to inspire us, and a hero who might look like a bad boy, but whose capacity to love and his need to protect those he loves make him the ultimate ‘nice guy’. I was left smiling, as always, the romantic in me full to the brim.

“I’m not used to receiving kindness with no strings attached.”

I’ve been looking forward to Seducing Lauren since I read the teaser at the end of Loving Cara, and it did not disappoint.

Lauren is having troubles from her crappy ex-husband. She thought he married her for love and then found out it was always about the money. Her generous divorce settlement isn’t enough and he’s now after her trust fund. His demands become ugly when he shows up and threatens Lauren, and this is where Ty comes in. Ty Sullivan is one of the attorneys at the firm that represents Lauren and when he catches wind of the trouble Lauren is facing, he steps in to help and protect her. Ty’s had his eye on Lauren for a while, but he wanted to give her time and space to get over her marriage first.

Ty was a great hero, stepping in when Lauren needed support and protection. He was such a thoughtful man and sensitive to Lauren’s plight because he grew up seeing his mother and sister mistreated by his father. Seeing her bullied brings out all his protective instincts.

During the time they were separated Lauren wrote a wildly famous romance trilogy, à la Fifty Shades that are being made into movies, but she did so under a pen name to keep it secret from her ex-husband knowing he’d be after that money as well. As a reader, I knew it was a matter of when not if he found out so I was anxious over the looming threat this discovery presented. Lauren’s ex was a complete jerk, and a dangerous one.

The romance was hot and steamy, maybe a little fast, but they did know each other for years. I loved how devoted and protective Ty was to Lauren. Lauren was a sweet and strong woman who didn’t back down and cower when her ex tried to mess with her. She totally deserved having Ty after her disaster of a marriage.

I enjoyed Seducing Lauren even more so than Loving Cara, and I look forward to the next in the series.

Seducing Lauren is book 2 in Kristen Proby’s Love Under The Big Sky series and features Lauren and Ty as it’s central couple. It works perfectly well as a standalone and it’s not necessary to have read book one, Loving Cara, to understand this although I can highly recommend it.
I’ve been looking forward to getting up close and personal with Ty ever since I read that tantalising little teaser at the end of Loving Cara. It left me with the promise of a protective alpha hero that I’ve been dying to read just about all year and he sure doesn’t disappoint.

Lauren, who we met briefly in the first book, has a secret life as an erotic romance author. I do think she’s slightly semi-autobiographical as Kristen Proby gives us a few little insights into what her life is like – days without eating, washing or sleeping when she’ completely in the zone and the creativity is flowing – brain-storming with fellow authors and all the social networking that’s required. It felt like we were being given a little glimpse! Lauren is adorable – a little bit scatty and messy but she has a really big heart and it’s ready to fall for Ty!

Ty – oh boy! Super HOT lawyer alert! He’s gorgeous, generous, sexy and protective. The book is called Seducing Lauren but it wasn’t just Lauren who was seduced by Ty. I fell for him – BIG time! He’s absolutely classic romance hero – protective, sweet, caring and very, very HOT.

Lauren is in need of a lawyer because of a messy divorce and her ex-husband is demanding money of her. Ty refuses to represent her and passes her onto his partner because he thinks it would be unethical as he’s seriously attracted to Lauren and has been for a while. Hence, he doesn’t really know the background to her case which will come back to haunt him later in the book.

If you’re anything like me, reading is a pleasure to indulge in after a long, hard day at work. It’s an escape from reality and there’s nothing quite like coming home to a Kristen Proby novel. She’s one of my go-to erotic romance authors and I can always rely on her to deliver characters I can believe in and root for, heroines I can completely identify with and would always want to be friends with, gorgeous alpha heroes that make me melt into a puddle and seriously hot yet heartfelt sex scenes. Seducing Lauren is no exception to this and curling up with this book was like coming home.

Kristen Proby does here what she always does so very well – combining seriously hot erotic romance with real and palpable emotions, vividly drawn characters who you want to know and love and a great setting and fantastic storyline with this one having a slightly more dramatic plot twist than most of her books. It’s sexy, heartwarming and another hit.

This was a very good story. I liked both Lauren and Ty very much and their story was sweet and kept me engaged.

Lauren is well off but works (secretly) as a writer of erotic romance. She was married to a guy, Jack, that didn't treat her very well and was emotionally abusive. When she realized he was cheating on her and threw him out, he became physically abusive and made it clear he was only with her for her money. He then made sure their divorce was long and drawn out in order to bilk her for as much of her money as he could.

Ty is a lawyer and does a really good job at it. He had an abusive father which made him very protective of the women in his life. Ty is partners with Lauren's lawyer but doesn't want to act as her lawyer himself because he's interested in her. He's just waiting for her to recover some after her divorce before going after her.

Lauren's divorce has been final for a while when she gets served by Jack. He found out about a trust fund she got as they were breaking up and decided he deserved part of it so he's taking her to court over it. Lauren goes to Ty to see if he will represent her because she thinks he'll be more forceful than her current lawyer (his partner) but he refuses. She doesn't understand why at first but Ty soon tracks her down and makes his interest in her clear. Outside of her parents, Lauren hasn't had many people treat her well and after Jack, she doesn't have much faith in men treating her well. Because of this, she thinks Ty is just interested in having sex with her so he has to set about making sure she knows he really likes her and wants more.

Thankfully, Ty is rather forceful in making this clear to Lauren and he convinces her to start dating him. He finds out about her writing and is supportive in that, doing little things to show her he cares even when she's busy writing and under a deadline. With her and Ty being involved, Lauren starts to become friends with Cara (the heroine from book #1, Loving Cara) and Jill, Ty's sister. Things start going pretty well for her and Ty...there are a few issues here and there but mostly things go pretty smoothly between them. The main issue comes from Jack, as he's not only greedy but also a bit of a psycho that feels she owes him more than just money even if he was the villain in their marriage. Lauren and Ty do get past their difficulties though and end the story starting a very nice HEA together.

This was a very enjoyable story. I really liked both Lauren and Ty and thought they made a great couple. Outside of the issues with Jack (which do get a bit extreme), the story was pretty low angst overall. I liked the story and it was interesting enough to keep me engaged until the end. I'd recommend it. :D

* note - I listened to the audio version of this book. There were 2 narrators, a female for the parts from Lauren's PoV and a male for the parts from Ty's PoV. Both narrators did a pretty good job.

Lauren is finally a divorced and free woman who is starting to really gain some traction in her profession, she writes erotica and has just had her books optioned for a movie. This is exciting but she can't let anyone know because if her ex-husband finds out, he'll come knocking on her door for more money, even more money than he is demanding now. After a threatening encounter with the ex, Lauren drives to the lawyer's office where we meet Ty. Ty is a tattooed lawyer who refuses to take Lauren's case as he immediately realizes there would be a conflict of interest. You see, he has had his eye on Lauren for a while and is finally starting to realize, staying away is not going to be an option.

Seducing Lauren is written in the first person point of view with chapters alternating between Ty and Lauren. The author does this fairly well but combined with the book's short choppy sentences and slow pace, it makes for an uneven flowing story. Ninety percent of this book is Lauren and Ty together with a lot of sex scenes, judging by the reviews a lot of people liked this but for me it felt like nothing was ever happening. I haven't read the previous book in the series so this could have also affected my feelings on never feeling invested because it's obvious Lauren and Ty were featured in that one. I do think this one could be read as a standalone, however. The other ten percent was Lauren dealing with her ex-husband. He makes occasional appearances each time getting more and more cartoon villain. The ending deals with a very explosive scene but the fallout and aftermath are all wrapped up fairly quickly that I never had time to become emotionally involved.

Lauren and Ty are good characters but neither had the heft to push them beyond cardboard cutout territory and without a solid supporting story, that in fact at times bored me, I have to say I'm just not a fan. Like I said, there are numerous 4 and 5 star ratings for this book so maybe the author's writing style is just not for me.

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Honestly one of the best books I've read in my life. I loved how protective Ty was and how strong Lo was. She never surrendered to Jack first because Ty wouldn't let her and then because she knew she was stronger than him and wouldn't let it happen. The fact that she could love someone again is amazing.

~~ 5 "Ty-licious" Stars ~~

I am totally in love with this series. Seducing Lauren is book 2 in the Under the Montana Sky Series and I thought it was even better than book 1…Loving Cara. If you are a hopeless romantic, then this is definitely the series for you. Seducing Lauren was just as fun, sweet and sexy as Loving Cara was. I love the writing style of these books, Kristen gets right into the story and moves everything at a great pace. This book was a fairly quick read, but was totally engaging, and I didn't want to put it down. I absolutely loved the love story in this book, but she also added an element of suspense to the storyline, so you wanted to keep reading to see how it all worked out. I loved that Kristen has created six main characters who are so relatable and life like. She has the ability to create a story that sucks you in and makes you feel what the characters are feeling. You can't help but feel like you are a part of the circle of friends.

This series can be read as standalone, but I would recommend reading these books in order. The story lines are different and each book centers around a new couple, but these characters are so intertwined that I think you need to start with book 1 to get the true feeling of all the characters and their connections to each other.

We meet Ty in Loving Cara and we get a small glimpse of Lauren in that book as well. I knew I was going to love Ty in this book, because I totally feel for him in the first book. Tyler Sullivan is one SWOONWORTHY man. He is a well accomplished attorney, but when he isn't working he doted on Lauren. He is truly what every woman is looking for in a man. And talk about melting panties….WOWZA!!!! You will need a fan for this book. I think this book was even steamier than the first one. Lauren and Ty definitely have some amazing chemistry, but they also had so much more than that. I loved their banter back and forth. They had me giggling on more then one occasion. Lauren was such a sweet character. What she went through and goes through with her ex-husband Jack was horrible and my heart broke for her. I was so glad when she found Ty and began to open up to him and trust him. I loved watching these two fall in love with each other….Totally heartwarming :)

We see all the same characters in this book that we saw in book 1. It was great that they are all such a big part of this story. We were also introduced to Emily who is Lauren's BFF and a great addition to this circle of friends. I hope we get to see more of her in later books.

I would 100% recommend this book to all those hopeless romantics out there!!! This is a book/series that I will read over and over again. If you are looking for that fun, sweet and sexy read that has a totally intriguing and captivating storyline, that keeps you turning the page, then this is the book for you. Don't miss out on this book…you won't be sorry!!!!

We met lawyer Tyler Sullivan and new divorcee, Lauren Cunningham in Loving Cara. They are friends with Josh and Cara. Ty's sister Jillian is also Cara's best friend.

Lauren has gone through a long arduous divorce, but her ex is still not quite done with her. Lauren is smart, caring, but is also fearful and insecure. She has hidden talents that let her express herself. Her ex did a number on her and is exhibiting aggressive, unstable, and demanding behavior. She has secrets, but they are kept for self protection.

Ty does not want to be her lawyer. He's already her friend, but wants to be more than that. He is a good man. He is intelligent and funny, with a little bit of an edge under his business suits. He is sweet, sexy, and protective. He has had his eye on Lauren for awhile. He has past demons that cause guilt and make him even more protective of the women in his life. I could not help but love Tyler.

Lauren and Ty have good chemistry, rapport, and a generally easy going, steamy relationship once it starts. It is intrinsically pretty drama free and not very angsty. Their challenges come more from the outside causing tension, frustration, fear, and danger.

I enjoyed more time with the characters from the first book: Cara, Josh and his twin brother, Zack, Jillian, and Seth. They are a truly tight group of friends and family and brought Lauren right into their fold. I enjoyed their fun group interactions and also their female and male bonding times.

It was told in both Tyler and Lauren's points of view giving us access to both of their fears and feelings. It was a sweet, romantic read with a bit of suspense and danger lurking in the background. The characters are all likable and engaging except the ones who are not supposed to be...like her ex who I hated with a passion. He really was an a-hole and added tension.

It has some interesting twists I did not expect going in that added more to the story and made it interesting. I will admit that sometimes I felt like the sex scenes overpowered the story a little. But like I said before, they did have chemistry. But it was another romantic, engaging, quick read with likable characters with some issues. These guys in this series are just really sweet, passionate, loving guys and the girls are tough or at least try really hard to be.

I am looking forward to the next book Falling for Jillian since it has already been teased in this one. I am looking forward to more with all these characters, but especially Jillian and Zack. They are already reacting strongly to each other. And Zack seems to have more deep issues than the other guys due to his military experience and life complications.

First, this book can absolutely be read as a stand alone. Though I thoroughly enjoyed book 1 Loving Cara, with Seducing Lauren, Ms. Proby takes the reader to a whole new level. Yes, you see the characters from book 1 but this book stands on its own and the reader will have no issue becoming engrossed in it.

Seducing Lauren tells the story of Tyler “Ty” Sullivan and Lauren “Lo” Cunningham. Readers who did read book 1 know Ty as Josh’s best friend and Jillian’s brother (Cara’s best friend). Lo was a minor character who did have a part in a pivotal scene.

Ty is lawyer so he and Lo come together when Lo is sued by her ex-husband, Jack. The tension between Lo and Ty is tangible and I was immediately rooting for Ty to get Lo to open up. Ty’s gestures as he woos Lo were amazing, I can’t think of a woman who would not melt if Ty did these things for her (and no I am not talking about sex – you will have to read the book to witness them). This book is truly Ty seducing Lauren and the reader while he is at it.

The back stories for both Ty and Lo contained both heartache and triumph. Lo’s background is a secret, one that watching her reveal to Ty showing trust like she shared with no other speaks volumes to their connection.

I adored watching these two connect on so many levels and witnessing them share the stories behind the ink on their bodies was entertaining and endearing. Ty may be the best Proby man to date and his ink and reasons make him ever hotter (yes this lawyer is a softy deep down inside).

In typical Ms. Proby fashion, this is a dialogue rich book that will have you feeling like you are in the room with these characters that feel so real.

The sibling banter between Ty and Jillian was wonderful as were the group scenes. Pssst the sexual tension between Jilly and Zack (Josh’s twin brother) is a great set-up for book 3, Falling for Jillian.

I want to say Jack, Lo’s ex-husband is a character so vile that as the story developed, I found my heart lodged in my throat, hats off to Ms. Proby for that; she created a man readers will despise while crafting a story line that allows the reader to both hate Jack and fall more in love with Ty.

In the end, the justice for Jack was perfect and made me love Ty even more (and I was not even sure that was possible.)

Before I forget, this is a Kristen Proby book – so yes it is HOT!

Again no worries if you did not read book 1, dive right in.

Ty Sullivan is not to be missed and the emotions in this one will pull at your heart and in the end will leave you with a smile from ear to ear.

I can’t wait for Zack and Jillian in book 3, Falling for Jillian. Zack, Jilly and young Seth so deserve a happy!

Kristen's writing just keeps getting better and better. I'm sure by now people are sick of me saying Seducing Lauren is my new favorite Proby novel. I'm sure they're probably sick of me talking about it in general. I just can't help it, I can't put my finger on it, but there's something about Lauren and Ty's story that I can't get enough of. Perhaps it's sexy-as-sin lawyer Ty with his tattoos hiding under his perfectly tailored suits. He's not a bad boy, but the things that would come out of his mouth! Sweet Jesus the things that man would say would make me blush, bite my lip and fan myself! I want a real life Ty Sullivan all for me! Lauren was his perfect match; she was strong and independent and I love that she didn't need Ty. She wanted him. There's a difference. I loved how throughout the story there were situations that occurred, and even though Lauren could handle them, she stepped back and let Ty handle things, she let him be the man that protected her and I think I loved her more for that. I do love my protective alpha's *sigh*
One of my favorite things however is the angst, Seducing Lauren had a little more angst than I'm used to from Kristen AND I LOVED IT! There were moments scattered throughout where my heart was beating a mile a minute and I found myself reading faster to find out the outcome. I cheered for Lauren and Ty while I cursed her ex-husband! I think at one point I thought "If this guy was on fire, I wouldn't spit on him to put him out" Kristen gives us an excellent villain to HATE! I need all of you to read it so you can hate the ex-hiusband with me!
I love Kristen's books, I love her ability to create such fantastically, likable characters and breathtaking, romantically, sexy stories. Her books are like snowflakes, no two are ever alike.

4 Sweetness Stars

Ty and Lauren "Lo" have known each other since they were kids, although they ran in different circles. Ty is now a successful lawyer in their small town in Montana and Lo is the recent divorcée with a secret.

description

When Lo's despicable ex-husband comes after her both physically and financially, Ty's protective instincts jump into overdrive. This leads them into a sweet friendship and a lovely romance. But danger isn't far away, and when a stupid argument causes them to take some time from each other, it opens the opportunity for a very dangerous situation for Lo.

description

Their friends; twins, Josh and Zach, Carolina "Cara" and Jillian "Jill" are there to comfort and take care of them.

I really liked this one. It had a lot of twists and turns. I loved how Lo was so lovely even though she'd been through so much with her crazy ex-husband. Sometimes you can't believe how evil a person can be. How he believed she owed him anything is beyond me. But I guess him going into the relationship after her money answers that question.

I'm very much looking forward to the next book in the series. I've been dying for Jilly's story since Loving Cara .

I love Kristen Proby’s books and this one didn’t disappoint.
This is the story of Lauren and Ty. Lauren and Ty both have secrets from the past and Lauren is also trying to deal with her ex-husband who is trying to sue Lauren for money and also try to scare Lauren. I love the chemistry that Lauren and Ty have and they have great connection.
The story is pretty fast paced and flows really well. I love Lauren and Ty getting to know each other and dealing with Lauren’s ex-husband while learning about each other and opening up to one and another. There are also plenty of sexy scenes. It was also good to see more of Cara and Josh and also Jillian and Zach who the next book will be about. I also loved the mention of a character from the Seattle series!!!!!
Overall a great story and I’m looking forward to the next one.

Kristen Proby has a great talent of writing stories that consume you. Her characters are all extremely likeable (at least to me) and I very much enjoy the time that I get to spend reading about their lives.

The second book in this series focuses on Lauren and Ty. You met them in the first book as Cara went to school with Lauren (they weren't exactly friends during that time) and Ty is Jillian's (Cara's best friend) brother.

Both Ty and Lauren are pretty strong willed and stubborn, which makes them a great match for each other. I liked how Ty was very adamant about taking care of her, but not really in a smothering way. He was very sweet and it was easy to see why she fell in love with him.

I always know that I'm in for a treat with this author. I can't wait to read the 3rd book in the series (you get a little preview of the 3rd book)!

I loved the story between Lauren and Ty. Lauren is a smart independent woman and Ty is super sexy, sweet caring guy and together they are super hot and sexy. Seducing Lauren has plenty of sexy scenes WOW the caramel, funny dialogue and some emotional scenes that had me gripped. It was fun catching up with Cara, Josh, Jilly and Zach and I loved the Will Montgomery mention.

I love Kristen Proby and this did not disappoint and I can't wait for Falling for Jillian.
