Thanks Daniel! Credit to my GR Friend Fourtriplezed for pointing me in the direction of the Neglected Books site!

On the site there's a link to a 1987 article by a Yugoslav journalist who discovered the book and who went to visit Ruštanj. Vuka and Vida were still alive at that point and remembered the author vividly!

Fiona A very interesting review, Ian, and a rare find.

Thanks Fiona!

Unsurprisingly many of the books on the Neglected Books site are out of print and are above my price limit for buying a book. I managed to get this one at an affordable price.

Ian Thanks very much Linda! It's a very unusual book.

I like the Forgotten Books site as some of those books are free.

J.C. Hi, Ian, you've done it again. I feel this one is a 'must' for me. I loved your comment about the author's style being such that you wanted to apologise for your ignorance about the guests at Penelope's table!
A gripping and energetic review!
Thanks again to 4ZZZ for putting up the link.

The Goodreads algorithm works in mysterious ways!
