I read this book back in grade school and saw the movie recently. Thought I would give it another read and was glad I did. It is more than just a children's book as one might think. He has a very good way of writing about temptation, sin and how it affects people. A great read.

I grew up with the set of Narnia books. This first book, though, holds a very special place in my heart. It was the book I read the most, and the one with the most tenderness in it. I love the characters and the language of it. Please read this book. Please.

The ideas in the story and the book leave me thinking about the real meaning of brothers based on fear for each other , sacrifice for brothers , stay together if anything happens , the older son took responsibility for his brothers after leaving his father because of the war , the problem between brothers that mean what it happen they love each other and Sadness for the loss of what we love .

The writer use graphics in the story , use simple words to under stand the story , use pictures which it help the reader the under stand more and more .

People to whom i'd recommend this book for example : people who love adventure , people who love action and people who love imagination .

I liked some of the quotes in the novel, the boys left their father because of the war , the problems between brothers , not believing the younger brother and kids and their love discovery and sadness for the loss of what we love .

This is a great book for children from the ages of Eight and above . When reading this book the detailed description of the characters and scenery , made me feel as though I was on the adventure with the characters . For example , when Lucy meets Mr Thomas and enters his home .This book would be a great way to support children to work on their imagination and descriptive writing , understanding how to use different sentence openers to start each sentence , how to introduce characters and being inventive when creating the story .

The CHRONICLES of NARNIA C.S LEWIS
THE LION, the WITCH and the WARDROBE

This book is about 4 kids Susan, Lucy, Edward and Peter that lived with their mother and since there was a war happening the kids were sent to the country to live with a prefessor so they could be safer. One day lucy the yongerst girl found a wardrobe in an empty room and she enters it. In the wardrobe is another land called Narnia that she discovers and in the land she meats a fau named Mr. Tumnus. She stay for some tea and then returns to her home. When she returns home she tryes to tell her siblings about her journey, but they laugh at her and disagree with her. As soon as they discoverthat lucy is telling the truthand they're in the wardrobe they deside to visit the faun because he was so nice and he had never seen a human before. After their journey trough the wood's the arrive at the faun's house and they discover that he has been taken by the queen.Throughout the story the children have many adventures in Narnia they meet Mr. Tumnus, The queen of Narnia, A beaver and his wife and Aslan. When the kids meet a talking beaver for the first time they discover that there younger brother Edward has gone on a secret mission. He has gone to meet the evil queen. As they go throught out this seach they meet the king of Narnia Aslan (a Lion). They go through war, death, and happiness and by the end of the book Narnia is a Much more free country. Lucy, Edward, Peter and Susan became the king and Queens of Narnia and the horrible queen is defeated and the spell on Narnia where it is always winter and the spell that say Narnia can't have christmas is broken. As Edward, Susan, Peter and lucy get back to there world as teens they realized that there were still kids and they have been only gone for a few minutes because of the time diffrence.

My favorite charecter is Lucy because she is caring helpful to always has a positive atitude.I really like lucy because if it wasn't for her Narnia would be the same and the queen would rule everything and everyone in Narnia would be misrable. I feel like i can connect to lucy and how she believes and feels like her and her sibling could bring peace to this new world.Lucy is the first to believe and discover the wardrobe in the prefessor's house.I also really live lucy because she is open harted and she just stands out . She is helpful and she loves and is thankful for everyone who suports and loves her.

The climax of the story is when Aslan is killed and Everyone goes to war to battle the evil queen. I tought they were going to louse because they did not have a stong king or leader to gid them. But insted The stone that Asland was killed cracked and even dieth itself is reversed and Asland is alive again. Asland frees some people that were turned into status to help with the war including Mr tumnus who was turned into a statu. That's when i knew that things were getting better and as they battled they defeted the evil queen and won the freedom of Narnia.

I think that the author wants me to know that you can't run oway from fear, you have to face ertan things and defeate it. The reason why i thinkthe author want's me to know this because at first there was a war in there community and they try to run oway from it and move to the country for a will. But instead there fear followed them and they found themselves fighting in a battle againt a evil queen.

I would recommend this book to anyone who likes adventure but mostly kids in middle school because this book can teach them a really important lesson in there lives. I think that this book is really good for middle school kids becaouse in this book there is alot of emotion and expereances that u can connect to. I like this book so i also think that anyone can read it because it is fantastic.

I would give my book a ten because of the amazing details and dailog that i could connect to in this book.

The lion, the witch and the wardrobe, the second book in the Chronicles of Narnia series, written by the famous C.S. Lewis, Is a must read for anyone who love’s a good book.
The author takes the reader on an incredible journey, following the adventures of siblings, Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy Pensive, where the ordinary world is left behind as we step through the doors of that magnificent wardrobe into a world where child-like wonder and imagination takes flight. But are our two world’s that different?
It is war-time in London and the four children are sent far from their home for their safety. There seems no time to be children, but during a moment of fun, Lucy the youngest child accidently stumbles into a world of magical beasts and talking animals. It is here
These four children become part of a Prophecy that will change their lives and that of their new found friends forever.
They seemingly leave their world behind, but soon realise these two worlds have more in common than they could have imagined. The reader can easily relate and even sympathise with the characters of the four children. They share very human qualities we all know about and experience especially those who have brothers and sisters.
Lucy the youngest represents the innocence of childhood. She is full of wonder and kindness. It is for this reason her siblings did not at first Believe the existence of Narnia.
Susan, the practical and sensible one is trying to keep the peace and everyone together.
Peter the eldest, shows nobility and leadership, yet the burden of leading his childhood behind too soon to be the “father figure”.
Edmund the forgotten “middle” child, living in his brothers’ shadow, selfish and greedy. We see Edmund struggle with these parts of his personality which ultimately sees him betray his family and friends for nothing more than his need for attention and selfish desires for “sweeties”.
Yet despise this we also are shown as is the case in any family that the unconditional love they feel for each other holds them together. They eagerly welcome their wayward brother back when he is remorseful for his actions as he too has been betrayed and taken for a fool.
Throughout the book one theme is clear Narnia is locked in an age old battle of good versus evil. This is reference to Christianity C.S. Lewis uses in many of his works. The good is symbolised by Aslan the lion and lesser by the peaceful creatures of Narnia. Lions are a well known symbol of courage, strength and royalty.
The evil is represented by the white witch, who has enslaved Narnia in an eternal winter and proclaimed herself its heartless ruler.
So, war rages in two worlds, and it is this epic battle that captivates the reader and has you turning page after page not wanting to put it down. Through the characters you’ll come to adore you share their betrayal’s, the temptations, the sorrows and loss, the hope and joy and the triumph’s.
This classic novel also shows the need to sometimes escape, leave worries and troubles behind, be child-like and carefree and go to a fantasy world where time seems to stand still. But our troubles are never far away and sooner or later we all have to face them.
I also really love the use of mythological beasts and talking animals. They really capture the reader’s imagination.
I know i have often wondered what it would be like if animals could talk and interact with us in a more “human” way.
This is one of my most favourite books. I have read and re-read it so many times. It has no age limit , and it is great for anyone who loves to be completely captivated by a story, you won’t want to put it down!

Have you ever simply entered a wardrobe and behind it found a new world? That's the case of Peter, Edmund, Lucy, and Susan.

They were in the time of war so, they were sent to live with another family in a faraway country. There, they moved into a mansion where, they would live while the war kept on going. Like any other child, they wanted to play hide and go seek now that they were going to live in a mansion.

They played hide and go seek for a long time. While, Lucy hid in the wardrobe and fell into a whole new world. There she met Mr.Tumnus (half man half goat) who told her about Narnia (the world behind the wardrobe) and the evil witch who was to be avoided because, she wanted to kidnap humans.

Nobody found Lucy but, ofcourse after that round, Lucy told her siblings about Narnia. Obviosly her siblings did not believe her so, Lucy was sad. That night, Lucy went to Narnia and, Edmund secretly followed her. Edmund was wandering around Narnia until he bumped into the evil witch. The evil witch took Edmund for a little ride. The evil witch introduced herself as the Queen of Narnia. She asked him many questions about him and his siblings. Edmund by accident answered every question and told her everything.

Lucy while, was with Mr. Tumnus. Edmund and Lucy returned home at the same time. They asked eachother abouth their adventures in Narnia. Edmund and Lucy woke Peter and Susan up to tell them about Narnia. This time Peter and Susan sounded a little more convinced than before.

Together, the four siblings went to Narnia and visited Mr.Tumnus. Mr.Tumnus's house was all wrecked because, the witch had kidnapped him for not turning in Lucy (a human child) to her. They walked around Narnia until they found some good beavers. The beavers told them about the witch and Aslan, the King of Narnia. Everyone was distracted so, Edmund ran away to the Witch's palace to tell her about Aslan and his arrival in Narnia.

The Witch is plotting to kill the children. Meanwhile the children and the beavers rush to the stone table to talk to Aslan efore the witch does. Edmund is being taken by the witch to the stone table too. Rapidly, the other three siblings and the beavers reach Aslan and ask him for help to save Narnia and Edmund.

The rescue party is coming up and the witch is plotting to kill Edmung there. Aslan manages to save Edmund because, instead of killing Edmund, Aslan sacrafices himself. The witch killed Aslan.

Later, the next morning, the Stone Table cracked and Aslan came back to life. Together with Lucy and Susan, they arm Peter and Edmund so, they could fight in Aslan's army. During the war, the witch is killed by Aslan. All of the witch's prisoners were freed forever.

A few days after the war, as the prophecy stated the children were crowned Kings and Queens of Narnia.

This book is full of fantasy and magical creatures. Just because it is full of fantasy, it doesn't mean that it's not for everyone. You can be easily entertained by reading this book full of fun and excitement.

The book I’m reading is called the chronicles of Narnia the lion, the witch, and the wardrobe. The author of this book is C.S. Lewis. He has not only written this book, but many more to this series. If you have ever heard of this book you know that there is a movie to go with it. The movie came out in 2006. The director made the movie resemble the book in many ways. The author wrote this book to provide a fantasy adventure kind of life for people who like adventurous things. The author wrote the book a while back, but when the movie came out they had a revised version of the book. The book is about 4 kids who try to get away from a war, but they get caught up in another world in a different world. The family has to move in with a friend of their mother. They go into this world and they hear of a prophesy. The prophesy says 4 human kids (2 men, and 2 women whose names are Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy) will save Narnia from the White witch. The kids go the many obstacles when their brother Edmund betrays them to go to the white witch, but soon he is returned to his family telling them that he is sorry for tricking them. There is a twist to how Edmund can come back with them. The leader of the war Aslan who is the creator of Narnia and also against the white witch and her evil plans. The twist is that Aslan has to give up his life so Edmund can keep his. Aslan is dead, and Susan and Lucy are the only ones that know it. Now Peter and the other good creatures have to ride into war alone. Little do they know a certain magic brings Aslan back to life. Aslan, Susan, and Lucy go to recute or get more people to help when the war. Finally the war is won and the white witch and her army is dead. Now that the war is won Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy are now the real kings and queens of Narnia. This book is a fantasy book and shows that anybody can have an adventure.

I thought that this book was a very good and detailed. This book was very creative, like Narnia, and with all the creatures there. This is a very good fantasy, and classic book. This book was probably to entertain, and it did a very good job of that. I would recommend the movie too (but in my opinion you should watch the movie before you read the book so you can visualize what everything looks like). Now, after reading this book I want to read the other books, to find out what happened after this adventure. I also liked all the picture on almost all the pages, it gives you images of what is happening in the story.

This book is about four brothers and sisters. Peter, Susan, Edmud, and lucy. They get taken in by a professor, during the war. The house they stay at is huge, with so many different rooms. One day Lucy (the youngest) goes and plays hide and seek. Lucy sees an wardrobe, and goes inside of it for a place to hide. when Lucy is in the wardrobe it transports her to Narnia. In Narnia she meets a faun, who needs her help to fight the white witch and return spring. Then, Edmud goes in the wardrobe, and the white witch sees this as an opportunity to trick Edmud into thinking she is good. Lucy goes back and gets Peter, Susan, and Edmud so they can go and fight the white witch together. But, they don't believe her (except Edmud). Then, all four of them go into the wardrobe and they all travel to Narnia. Lucy is begging them all to help and stop the white witch. But Edmud thinks the white witch is good and goes back to her castle to tell her where they are at. Peter, Susan, and Lucy knew when he does this that the white witch will go and find them and kill them.

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe is one of C.S. Lewis's first edition to the Chronicles of Naria. It all began with a war in London which then caused the children to move with their aunt for safety. The youngest daughter then begins to explore the house and finds a wardrobe. Only to discover a new world, temptation leads her in. She finds the world of NARNIA. There she meets a faun, Taumnus, who then becomes her friend and they have tea together. She then tells him she has to leave so she goes to tell the third oldest Pevensie child, Edgar. He then make a paradoy about what she says and go to tell the others, Peter and Susan, so they won't believe her. One day Edgar decides to go explore the world and the meets the Evil White Witch. She tries to make him eat Turkish Delight, a popular candy in her land, so she can enslave him. He goes back home and knows the truth but still decides not to sya anything. Aslan, the Lion, the king of the land, is not pleased so him and the children, who has discovered the truth, fights in the war to save edmunds life. He sacfrice his own life for Edmund and this is what he get. In this story, Aslan is symbolic for Jesus Christ because he died and was ressurected even stronger.
The authors main purpose was to express the imaginations of children, and to tell them their land can be true. he uses his own imaginations and dreams to incorporate into his stories to make them superb liket The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.

It was one of the most unique and interesting books I have ever read. The mythological creatures brought the presence of a new world very interestingly. From how the siblings go through the wardrobe and into a new world, the journey gets better and better. The lion is one of the main characters and exemplifies pure strength that showcases him as a protagonist in the book. Only his power can defeat the deadly witch that the kids run into.

She freezes people and tortures them. The creatures in this book are made from an interesting thought/some are half men half horses others are half human half animal... most are under the power of the evil witch. The kids want to put an end to this but don't have the strength to put up with the antagonist herself.

When the children are in the wardrobe time in the present world stops and when they come out it begins. They get called to come back for they are the "chosen ones" With there help the creatures can restore balance and peace in their world. When the lion returns the witch plans to destroy him once and for all but the children help him out of her trap ultimately leading to the end of the queen and from that point the story tends to continue in the sequel..

Overall I rated it 5 stars because of its fantastic word choice and sentence structure. The author really brought me out of my seat in every line and moment.

I read the book The Chronicles of Narnia by Harry Gregson. This book is about Peter, Edmond, Susan, and Lucy. They are playing hide and seek in there relatives home.Lucy goes in a closed room and went in this looking wardrobe and meets some creatures such as Thomas. That live in this place called Nania. she tells her brothers and sister and they don't believe her. One day Edward went to check in and meets an evil ice witch. He thinks she is really nice. Because she gave him cake and drink. She just wanted to use him. So then the our brothers and sisters came in the wardrobe together and discovered the world of Narnia.

i made a connection to Lucy. A text to self.We both had someone not believe us. And it felt pretty bad.My friend and family doesn't believe me sometimes and i feel kind of bad.And sometimes theres places i want to wonder off and discover new places.

i give this book a 4. Because it was very boring in the front because it describe a lot about the departure with the family. in the middle and end when they discover Narnia that was very good and detailed and also very
interesting. I recommend this book to ages 12+ might be a little advanced

A really childish story line put into a serious context, it all starts off in a house where the kids discover a closet that leads to another world called Narnia where our minutes are their years. They meet a Dwarf that guilds them around and introduce them to the other creatures. They meet a Lion that is the leader and together they fight an evil witch. A ending that starts out sad but turns out good. The Lion is slaughtered on the stone but the evil witch is too dumb to know about the stone and this stone actually reverses whatever is done on it so instead of dying he comes back to life and defeats the evil.

Narnia (The Lion, Witch, ad the Wardrobe) is a wonderful book. It is very nice for a preteen, or a child because it is a fantasy book. I read this book when I was 8 years old. At the beginning I thought it was boring, but when I reached the middle, I got excited! My favorite character is cute little Lucy

My opinion is that Harry Gregson-Williams, he, is a very interesting author that sets a wonderful example for young authors wanting to be famous.

In this book,I learned a lot of things too :)
The movie is nice, but You would have to read the book first to completely understand the story :)

I give this life changing book a 5 because it was different and it is a on going book that stays on the nomal story line ever if the book changes.

I connect this book to lord of the rings because it has the same fill to it and its battles are just as dramatic as lord of the rings too .

I gave this book a four star review because I like books that are action/adventure and have mythical creatures. I liked the part where Aslan crowned the 4 siblings of Adam and Eve because I like to see people becoming important or they are promising to be the leader of the town, city, state, or valley. I also liked how the author wrote that the King Aslan(lion) give up his life for his own people so that Edmund could be safe. I didn't give this book a five star because I didn't like the part where they had the battle because I hate battles, blood, and horses/people dying.

This book is a good book if u wanna know the kind of thing that god did for us. Because what god did for us the lion does for them so it is just like they were taking the story of the bible and putting it in terms that we would understand and be able to comprehend easier. So yea I would say that this is a good book for about fifth grade and up maybe even fourth and pushing it to third but that is as low as i would go.
