This picture book is intended for primary and possibly intermeadiate. It is a story told in rhyme about how these dinos could misbehave but how they don't and the proper way to act. The illustrations have different kinds of dinosaurs on each page and written underneath is the proper name of the dinosaur, I only wish pronunciation was in the back. This is a series of stories that teach kids manner and how to act in a fun way but by showing the bad behavior first, then how to properly behave. The colors are subtle and not too over the top. The dinos are shown in real human behaviors which is funny because their parents are not dinos too, they are human parents. I think it is a good way to teach manners and proper dinosaur names in the same sitting, if you can figure out how to pronounce them.

This book was a really cute book that has dinosaurs showing the proper way to clean their rooms. I think this book is a good way to show kids how to clean their rooms and how it is not as bad as they may think. I really enjoyed reading this book and how it show children the proper ways to clean their rooms and not just shove things under their beds and in their closets.

What drives me crazy about these books is how the dinosaurs are always doing the wrong things for more than half the book before they do what they're supposed to. My kids seem to like the wrong things best lol.

I love the premise but think it could stand a bit more content. The plot was heart warming and the message was instructive but I wish they went into more cleaning detail. Overall 4 stars.

One of kids most disliked activites: cleaning their rooms! I know when I was a kid, cleaning my room was something I absolutely dreaded. I definitely used some of the bad tactics shown in the book, like shoving everything under my bed or into my closet. It is important to teach students that cleaning their room is not only necessary, but it is not as big a deal as they usually make it out to be. I like that the book showed the bad cleaning habits as something you should not do, and then turned around and gave actual ideas for good ways to quickly clean up (throwing away small pieces of trash and putting dirty clothes into a hamper). A fun activity related to the book could be to mess up the classroom while students are out at recess, and then when they come back ask them to help clean it up just like the dinosaurs did in the book we read. It would tie the book into a real life activity and it would be a fun way to get students involved in the classroom and have them form good habits. I would use this book in K-3rd grade classrooms.

Readers can resonate with this book with the fact that it is silly yet it is teaching a valuable lesson. Dinosaur is learning how to clean his room and the ends and outs of what is acceptable and what is not. This read aloud would be beneficial for those who have complex support needs and are learning life skills. In response to this reading, students can look at pictures, cut them out, and paste on a paper (that is cut out the look like a room) what a clean room looks like

Story for my little one, just prior to school's book character parade during Halloween. He enjoyed the book on how Dinosaurs can clean their rooms, a very great way to show to kids that everyone can help a little with house chores, how to be clean, responsible and organized. A happy mom, a happy dinosaur and a clean house/room.
After reading the book, he was ready for book character parade.

How Do Dinosaurs books are a fun series of books for your dinosaur loving young reader. The rhyming text, variety of dinosaurs, and the classic illustration of the parents make this a fun book to read. Quite a few of these books have had my husband and I laughing out loud or remembering a time the exact same thing has happened in our home.

From the How Do Dinosaurs...series, this book is more about ways to clean up a messy bedroom than about dinosaurs. Yolen cleverly uses young children's interest in dinosaurs to get them to read this book which uses rhymed verse to show both good and bad strategies for cleaning a room -- a good teaching tool for young children.

Cute, short, rhyming story of ways to “clean” and ways to clean! Friends laughed along, saying no to all the silly ways of cleaning and seemed satisfied with the ending. The whole collection of these books are entertaining.

How Do Dinosaurs Clean Their Rooms? is a fun read. It includes some "dinosaur" talk and then what the appropriate talk would be. This series focuses on manners and why it is important to have them. This book is good to developing a vocabulary to get students to express their emotions.

The dinosaurs in this series are awesome and look just like the ones mama got me. Even my annoying sister is suddenly interested in dinosaurs and wanted to read this with us. I'm pretty sure there's a lesson to be learned in these books, but I'm just here for the cool dinosaurs. 🏡🏠
