A beautifully composed bibliography of sorts of various Islamic philosophers and theologians throughout history who have interpreted Eblis in positive and negative ways. I believe this is a vitally important text for western Muslims who often understand Eblis/Shaytan through a christian lens. This text shows how nuanced, thoughtful and even provocative many Muslims once traditionally were. Gives you a small glimpse into the complexity that is Islam.

The Rolling Stones, Sympathy for The Devil.
