I shouldn’t crave her the way I do. I shouldn’t have touched her, And I definitely shouldn’t have fallen for her. But when fate put her in my sights again, I gave into temptation, And I made her mine. Only for us to get ripped apart once again. Now she’s spilling desperate lies and hiding dark secrets. Saying she’s tainted and pushing me away. The right thing would be to let her go But unlike her, I don’t break my vows. It’s time they all know…. She will always be mine.
Author's Note: This is an extremely dark taboo romance where the main characters are cousins. While the first book wasn’t dark, this one explores even darker themes which may not be suitable for some readers. Since it’s a duet, it is highly recommended to read the first book “Will he ever be mine”.

Note: While the first book wasn’t as dark, this one explores even darker themes which may not be suitable for some readers. Full content warnings will be listed inside the book. Cannot be read as a standalone. The first book “Will he ever be mine” is needed to be read.
I have been waiting for the second part of this duet, the wait may have felt long but it was definitely worth it! Simran has outdone herself with this one!
Riaan and Nyra have been discovered but they're not letting go so easily. It's taboo, it's intense, full of surprises and will have you turning the pages so fast. Fantastic read.
This book comes with a trigger warning, please head the authors note
Nyra and Riaan’s illicit relationship has been discovered
Not given the chance to explain her actions, her mother takes her home
Their relationship is on tenterhooks
Riaan will fight for Nyra, for their love
Nyra is being manipulated, she will do anything and everything to protect her family and Riaan, pushing him away
But it all becomes too much, and she begins to spiral, having put distance between her and Riaan
But one phone call changes all of that
And then she learns the truth of her mother’s trauma, why she has been the way she has, why she reacted the way she did, and they finally come to an understanding, their trust still fragile
Nyra returns to college, only her carefully constructed walls begin to fall when Riaan comes back to claim what is his
Their passionate love affair consumes them then whole
They continue to take calculated risks, but Riaan is not afraid of their love
Nyra has blossomed into her sensuality. Riaan continues to take her to new heights, exploring her limits, pushing her boundaries, for there love knows no bounds, she loves the person that she has become with him, he likes it when she takes control, giving her a sense of power, it doesn’t frighten her, it turns her on, for she loves what he does to her body, the way he controls her and commands her, his words alone setting her soul on fire.
Riaan demands the truth, Nyra no longer having a choice, she comes clean about everything. Riaan begins to pull away, leaving Nyra afraid, but in time he begins to accept that he will do anything and everything in his power to protect her.
And then it all comes to a head when things begin to click into place and Riaan discovers the shocking truth, in a race against time, he saves Nyra, but the ultimate betrayal by his own family, effectively destroys his relationship with his brother, in the end Nyra’s parents accept their relationship.
This story is told from dual POV, we see Nyra and Riaan develop and grow in their relationship as they deal with fall out, trials and tribulations of their forbidden relationship, as we follow them in their story, we see what shapes these characters, giving readers insight to who they are flaws and all, that they are in fact humans who feel but handle what has happened to them differently.
Their story will take you on a wild ride, having you turn page after page, this book had me from the beginning to the end. Reading this story, it enables the readers to really connect with the characters, and as the story unfolds, the readers see the development and growth from the characters singularly and together. The author knows how to write, and I will be coming back for more.
This book has it all the forbidden taboo romance, possessive dominant alpha male, a heroine owning her sensuality, defiance, manipulation, adrenaline seeking suspense, jealousy, twists, truths, and betrayal.
And those bedroom scenes were blazing hot, downright dirty and physical, it had all the angry angst, hate, pleasure and passion one would expect when Riaan shows Nyra that he will be the only man she will ever need, because Riaan always gets what he wants, giving her the pain and pleasure, she deserves, his possessiveness and obsessive need for control and dominance, it was off the charts and had all of the feels.
And there happily ever after could not be more perfect if I had written it myself!
ARC Review of She Will Always Be Mine by Simran * * * * * This absolutely forbidden romance continues with the second instalment of its duet...and the drama is just getting more taboo.
Nyra and Riaan have been discovered, their love now being forced apart by family. Nyra is trapped home, eyes on her constantly and her movements tracked. She cannot see Riaan. She cannot speak to him. Others are getting suspicious. Riaan is not letting her go that easily. Then there is her Unknown messenger. They have videos. They have pictures. They have seen and heard and known of all their secrets. Now they want things from Nyra. She will do what she can to protect the man she loves. Even if she feels she may lose him.
Taboo as hell and unbelievable naughty. I have never read a duet or singular book like it, and Simran has pulled it off. Full of surprises. Massive twists. Epic reveal of Unknown.
On one hand, I am torn trying to be nice, and fair to the author but, on the other hand, I am just thankful it finally ended.
Honestly, I think, if it was going to be as long as it was, it should have been broken down into three books instead of just two.
I struggled through so many errors through out the whole book, and I understand that English isn't the authors first language but, the errors made had nothing to do with that. Words were missing... wrong words were used... I wish my tablet could take highlights and screenshots that would share to GR what I am referring too so that you all would understand. Alas, my tablet sucks kittens.
The whole plot was soooo drawn out, I fell asleep so many times but, I fought on. And I FINALLY finished the series...duet, whatever...
I am happy that the couple got their HEA it just took too long. The author dragged out the story, way too much... and the blackmailer, their story was just too vague and boring.
Sure there are twists and such but, there should have been more explanation about the secret "friends" and what their involvement was in the completion of the story. And explain how the father dies, etc... I was completely lost after that... Also, why the hell was ZAIN there, to pull him off his father? No one explained that either...
I wish I could have liked this duet... the first book was better but, still had errors, and just detachment.
I feel bad that I left a low mark but, at the same time, I am so happy it's over with.

A fantastic end to the duet! All secrets have been revealed, and the spice in this one was off the charts! Now, there are some characters that you'll be mad at in the beginning but will love in the end, and some that you'll love but will be disappointed in them later.
The second book was I think twice as long as the first one, and in some places I just wanted it to hurry up and give me all the answers to the questions! Don't get me wrong everything was progressing really well plotwise, I just felt that it could have been faster, but then again if we didn't get all the details the book might not have been as enjoyable!
For the lovers of taboo romance with fantastic dirty talk and spice off the charts, grab this duet now, as it's complete and available on KU! Now, if you want to you can continue to my rant/spoiler section, because I really need to rant about some details!
Rant/Spoiler section
Okay, so this is a taboo romance between second cousins (the author mentions this at the beginning of the first book unless this was changed when the book was published because I had an ARC copy), and that's where my questions come.
When I was reading the first book, I didn't notice that the setting was in India so I thought oh those are cool names for characters and places. When I started the second book it had a mini glossary and so I finally got my answers why the names were different. But here's where my questions on taboo come in, as I wasn't really "offended" or "tabooed" by a relationship between second cousins. In some countries it's legal to marry your second cousin, and based on my quick search on google in India it should be legal. (don't come for me), but considering that Riaan and Nyra didn't really grow up together, and the whole brother/sister relationship wasn't really present I was completely okay with them being together.
Mother of the year award goes to Riaan's mom, well that is until you reach the end, and you're just like WTF!!!! And if that twist at the end wasn't an absolute mindf*ck, well... Like once Nyra's mom tells her about her past I immediately thought of the main "villain" but then logical explanation didn't allow me to continue with that theory, and hell I was wrong!
I think those were the major points that I wanted to rant about, so if you've read the book and want to discuss it, hit me up!
I received an ARC for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
DNF at 70% I tried so hard to finish this book but realized that it took me almost a week to even get close to finishing and I just couldn’t stick with it.
“Love like ours is built on pain and immoral desires. It’s what we thrive on.”
OMG! The conclusion of Riaan and Nyra’s story was everything I could have hoped for and more! I was left on bated breath after the first book, not knowing what was going to happen next and was their taboo relationship now officially over. With Book 2, we are thrown right back into where we left off and the story explodes from there. It is one hell of a dark, gritty, twisted and emotional rollercoaster ride that just blew my mind. I got so swept up into it that I never wanted it to end.
My heart was pulled to shreds over everything that poor Nyra had to endure and what she is forced to keep secret from everyone she loves in order to protect them. But she also broke my heart that she felt she couldn’t tell Riaan what was going on and it frustrated me to no end that she held onto this massive issue so long. She was in a spiral and going to crash and burn if she didn’t reach out for help.
I loved the progression of Riaan and Nyra’s relationship. There were so many hurdles to jump through, so much hate and pain to get over, and trust that needed to be developed. Riaan never once gives up on them as a couple and continually shows Nyra how much love he has for her, even when it feels dirty. He is not afraid of what others will think and will do anything to prove that to Nyra and break down her walls. But not once does Riaan give up his domineering and possessive self – and he shouldn’t as it’s what we love most about him. These two together may be toxic and slightly taboo but they are explosive when together.
“I helplessly try to back down and he pounces like a hungry beast, demanding my submission. Even from miles away, his presence is dark and striking and commanding. Leaving me scared to imagine just how domineering and threatening he will be when I’m with him, denying that I’m still his. And I know, deep in my bones, he’s waiting for just that. For there to be no distance keeping us apart. No walls to hide behind. No more running. Just him and me…all alone.”
There is someone in the background trying to tear Nyra and Riaan apart and is doing a good job of making Nyra miserable. We are slowly given little tidbits of who the blackmailer could be, but the twists and turns throughout keep us guessing right to the very end. And when the blackmailer is finally revealed, I wanted to reach in and destroy them myself.
Brilliantly written conclusion that had me riveted to my seat, biting my nails with anticipation of what the hell was going to happen, and gasping at some of the shocking secrets being slowly revealed. The twist at the end was a shocker but absolutely perfect and I couldn’t have asked for a better ending.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.
RIAAN I shouldn't crave her the way I do. I shouldn't have touched her. And I definitely shouldn't have fallen for her. But when fate put her in my sight again, I gave into temptation. And I made her mine. Only four us to get ripped apart once again. Now she's spilling desperate lies and hiding dark secrets. Saying she's tainted and pushing me away. The right thing would be to let her go. But unlike her, I don't break my vows. It's time they all know. She will always be mine.
This is a dark taboo book. The first one was not a dark book but this one does explore some darker themes which might not be suitable for all readers. You will also need to read Will He Ever Be Mine first or you are going to be lost. Nyra and Riaan's have been busted and their relationship has come to light and her mom immediately takes her home. However Riaan is not going to stand for that is is going to fight for her and their love.. Nyra though is being manipulated and she will do any and everything to keep her family and Riiaan save and she keeps pushing him away. It isn't very long before things become to much and down the rabbit hole she goes. Things however do change when a big secret is revealed and she gets to return to college but it isn't very long until her carefully constructed walls begin to crumble when Riaan comes back to not really for college but for her. I don't really want to go any further into telling you about the story for fear of giving something away. This book is so interesting and good and it keeps you on your toes. I really loved reading this book.
After having read Will He Ever Be Mine last year i couldn't wait for more! As soon as this second installment was announced i started looking forward to it right away. I picked it up and got right back into the Meant To Be world! I so enjoyed this second book!
Nyra and Riaan's journey continues! After everything that happened in book one, i needed to know what all was going to happen next with these two! It felt like no time had passed at all and i got pulled right back in by Nyra and Riaan and their story. Can what Nyra and Riaan have be worth fighting for?
With so many obstacles in their way, i didn't know how Nyra and Riaan would get through everything. I didn't know what all to expect this time around and that got me into this installment even more so. I was so glad to get more of these characters. Once again, Nyra and Riaan had my heart and i feeling so dang much from start to finish!
From the taboo aspect to the way this story kept me on the edge of my seat, i thoroughly enjoyed it!
With She Will Always Be Mine, Simran has created such a good dark and addictive continuation you won't want to turn away from! This author's writing always captures my attention and stays on my mind. I can't wait to read what she comes up with next!
Be sure to read the author's note.
*I volunteered to read and review a copy of this book from Give Me Books Promotions / the author*
Being that this Duet was actually my first time adventuring into one of SIMRANS books I was honestly not sure what to expect . But the more I read the more I found myself faking completely in love , not only with the most unique and beautifully written characters that are so captivating and extremely so multi layered , but with a story that is definitely going to grab onto all your emotions and pull at your heartstrings in ways you definitely will not expect. It’s dark , raw , gritty , emotionally charged , tragic , heartfelt, heartbreaking and simply a emotional rollercoaster in every sense of the word . There were moments I was completely speechless, others I was on the edge of my seat heart beating so fast , not knowing which way was on and which way was down . It’s a Journey that is not easy by any means . It’s filled with obstacles, intrigue, suspense, drama , twists and turns , secrets , lies , love , romance, second chances , family , friendships and much much more . Age gap , forbidden and dark taboo - SIMRAN has taken 3 of my very favorite tropes and so flawlessly entwined them in a love story that is not only unforgettable and unputdownable but a true masterpiece
Disclaimer: I got this book for free on Kindle. I participated in stuff your kindle day where I got a bunch of romance books for free, roughly 2,000 books. I normally do not read romance books but I wanted to try the genre. I typically read fantasy, science fiction, biographies, and classics so this is way out of my comfort zone. My plan is to draw a book at random without reading the summary, title, and avoiding looking at the cover. As long as the book is not too graphic for me or leads into something uncomfortable, I will be attempting to finish as many of these books as I can in 2024. I understand that many of these books will likely not be top tier but I am hoping that I can learn something about the romance genre as a whole and figure out if any types of books in this genre are for me.
My Review: I read this a few months ago and forgot to upload. The disclaimer says it all. This is a major trigger warning. He treats her like garbage. Author makes it seem like she enjoys being treated like garbage. They have some agreement for this. Its just yucky to me. Power struggle bdsm isn't me.
This is my first Duet by Simran and am definitely looking forward to reading more by this author. This was a definite dark and taboo romance that had all the darkness and feels your heart could desire. It definitely kept you throughly engrossed from page one.
This is the second part to Riaan and Nyra’s story and though their relationship is a taboo one it’s definitely 100% real and the fight they both fight to keep what they have and to protect one another is a dedication you only dream of. Their story isn’t an easy one but once they get their HEA it makes the wild journey well worth the wait getting there.
This duet is a definite must read, book two is definitely a lot darker than book one and Riaan is definitely a lot more unhinged and possessive in this one too. It’s full of suspense and twists and turns you don’t expect, lots of secrets and pumped full of angst, emotional rollercoasters, and a ton of spice. Highly recommend this duet!!
Dear goodness this is the second book about Nyra and Riann and was even more darker from the first one!
No matter how much Nyra is pulling from Riann ,he is so stubborn and doesn't leave her,he is absolutely crazy obsessed with her and will do anything to be with her. Nyra the whole book has passed ,trough so must between her family, the forbidden love with Riann and the unknown person who is making ger life hell. This girl have some really strong psyhical strength and success to break free from the obstacles that kept her away from the person she loved ,but I swear the twist that this book unraveled it with, caught me off guard, and totally was thinking the wrong person was guilty, the whole book. But the author in the end make this poor souls to get to they're end that deserved, no matter what, and I was totally happy with it!
This is the second part of the duet, and you have to read the first before diving into this story. So trying not to reveal too much, just know this starts where we left off, a major shock happening. Now, Riaan and Nyra have to deal with the fallout, but will the distance they are forced to endure be their downfall?
Once again, I'm going in sort of ignoring the plot a bit. I had to know how this ended, if the dirty talking alpha male gets his woman or not. Honest opinion here, I feel like some of this didn't make sense. Maybe I was reading too much into this, but the bad guy made no sense. Not going to say anything more, Riaan and his OTT alpha ways saved this once again, and I give this 3.5 stars.
4 stars- I don't know if you particularly remember or if you checked the reviews of book one before deciding to read this one; if you did, you would already know how much I disliked the previous book. I found it funny and hadn't liked any of the characters. Here I am today, taking back all those words because this second book, "She Will Always Be Mine," was so good. I don't know if it was because I already knew what I was getting myself into, but I found it so easy to slide back into the story and enjoy it. The writing improved drastically from that first book in the duet, which improved the reading experience, and overall I had a great time. This was a hot, crazy ride, and I'm glad for it.
Headline: If you enjoyed watching the movie 365 Days, you'd most likely like this one since the male lead gives off Massimo vibes!
Review: I received an ARC copy of this book and this is my unbiased opinion on V. Simran's "She Will Always Be Mine"
Just wow. This book had A LOT of HOT love sex scenes. It might be a little too overwhelming if you're new to the dark romance/erotica genre, so tread with caution. Other than that, I really liked the plot twist towards the end since I was convinced that I solved the mystery, but I'm glad to have been proven [partially] wrong and mindfucked by that plot twist. With that being said, will I recommend this book? Yes, but not for anyone below 18. Will I read it again? Definitely.
80% of the book is sex scenes between Nyra and Riaan and the other 20% is about the main story imagine i finished 86% of the book 683 pages and still don’t know who is the blackmailer and their family doesn’t know about their relationship yet there’s no interaction between the other characters in the book only Nyra and Riaan and if there one! Give it just the 1% of the chapter and the rest is sex scenes between them without good plot to push you to continue the book ! I didn’t like the author could have shortened the book since she left the important parts of the plot to the last chapter in the book!

This is the second part and conclusion of this incredible duet. Nyra and Riaan have been discovered, and she is being manipulated by her family to tear them apart. This is a well written story which is dark, raw, gritty, intense, and intriguing, with twists, jealousy, angst, passion, secrets, lies, emotions, romance, family, an age gap, surprises, trust, twists, suspense, and love, which leads to a steamy and riveting page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
There's something to be said about the second installment of a duet that is 100x better than the first! The first book is this duet was a struggle but I am so glad I stuck it out because seeing the struggle and angst and passion and ending to such a messy beginning was so nice and left me on a happy note. The plot was more thought, the characters were more developed and the feelings were so much deeper. The love more defying. Tasty taboo.
Omg I loved this story. The angst in this book wow. I typically don’t like super angsty books but with this book due to the taboo relationship and the blackmail I could understand their separation. I loved that the H would not give up on them and continued to fight for them 😭 He was perfect and a swoon worthy Hero. I wanted to shake the h at times for pushing him away, even though I understood why and that she was scared and wanted to protect the H I still wished she had told him sooner what was going on. So happy they got their happy ending.

This is the second book in the Meant To Be Duet. This book is a Dark Taboo Romance that is full of intense surprises that will have you wanting more with each page. Please check the trigger warnings before reading. There are so many twists with the right amount of Drama. I absolutely enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more of Simran's work. I defiantly recommend this author and this duet. Simran did an AMAZING job with this book!
I really enjoyed this book. It was great to see what finally happened after the ending in "Will he ever be mine." There was a moment where I actually shouted, "I knew it!" in the house and got a very weird look from my dad, 🤣 but it’s fine. After that, though, it all made sense with everything that was happening with Nyra and Riaan. I'm going to miss them now that the duet is done. I did find the book a bit too long, though, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that it was a great read.
After reading the first part of this duet I was dying for the second part to find out what happens...and Simran did not disappoint! This book had everything I wanted...a touch of dark, spice, drama, and twists. There are some trigger warnings that you should definitely go through first because this is a taboo romance, but if they aren't triggers for you, I highly suggest reading this duet!
Yesh tabooooo....but is it? When family gets involved in romantic things it's complicated. Especially when he's your cousin. But love means more to this couple and they refuse to give up on each other. It's incredibly hottt. Riaan is a very dominant man. She will always be his.
The spelling, grammar and punctuation leave a lot to be desired and it badly needs edited. The book could have had 85% cut out and it would have made no difference to the storyline, if all you want is the same sex scenes on repeat, no character growth and little to no storyline then this is the book for you otherwise I wouldn't waste time reading it
