In what world does a failed one-night stand lead to a fake marriage? This one…
Our night together? It could’ve gone better. For example, he could’ve chosen to not take a phone call in the middle of the…final act.
But I’m willing to give him another chance. I’m a giver like that.
And Spencer Monroe is, after all, one of southern California’s hottest, wealthiest, and most influential men. He’s exactly the kind of player I like to bring to his knees—in the bedroom and out of it.
I never expected him to propose a fake marriage, though.
I really never thought I’d accept.
But here I am, at his brother’s wedding, with a fake husband, clutching the stupid bridal bouquet I should’ve let hit the floor.
So, what the hell am I supposed to do now?
Well, I can tell you what I’m not going to do. I’m not going to fall in love with the ridiculously handsome, annoyingly charming billionaire.
That’s what I keep telling myself, at least…
Mr. Monroe is the sixth book in the billionaires club series by Raylin Marks and can be read as a stand alone novel. A sensual and satisfying read about a CEO who is brought to his knees when his idea of a fake marriage is the one business deal that will change his bachelor ways and his life...forever. This alpha male has finally met his match, literally.
Raylin Marks is the author of steamy romance and fun adventures!! Her love and passion for writing is purely driven to help introduce readers to characters and fun worlds to get lost in with hot alpha males that make even Raylin swoon as she writes them. Marks stepped into the publishing world with her debut Reverse Harem series: Immortal Devotion. She moved from there into a different steamy genre and wrote Chase’s story in a stand-alone book titled: Needing Chase. After Chase, Raylin decided to finally let these “Billionaires” start having their voice. In July 2020, the first book in her Billionaires’ Club series was released: Dr. Mitchell. She’s excited to continue on through the lives of the rest of these men. Let’s hope her laptop can hang while she continues on her journey of writing and publishing.
OMG, this was just terrible. I hated all of the characters... what a bunch of little bitches! There was nothing, and I mean nothing with joy or happiness... it was all bitch and grip. I hated how they talked to each other, snipe, snipe snipe.
Now let me say this is the like sixth book in the series so it was a little repetitive but it is also the only book in this series i finished so do with that what you will! I’ve been waiting to get to this book as i read 60% of the first 3 other books in this series. i don’t know it must just be something about spencer monroe that i love
I LOVE LOVE LOVED this book. It’s definitely in my top 4 favourite books. They have the same friend group. So they knew eachother before. A few days ears back they had sex and he answered the phone mid thrust. Since then they didn’t talk. Until Spencer’s brother got married in italy. His mother is a bitch the worst kind. And because of her he wanted to have a date with him and he happened to choose Nat. He knew Nat could handle his mother because she was a no bullshit type of woman. They went to the UK together because they had to work there. It was there where they wanted to try being in a relationship. It was new for the both of them. Nat is a woman who isn’t fond of relationships. She’s rather fuck around than being in a committed relationship. They had very high highs until the birthday party of Jim. He invited his mother because she visited Spence out of the blue and to fuck with her a bit Jake decided to bring her along. She only came to visit because she knew Spence and Nat weren’t married. At that time Spence had a PI on her father. And his mother told her that her father killed her mother before Spence could’ve said anything. Since then their relationship was on the low low. Then she found out she was pregnant!!!!! Spence and Jim worked together on gathering infos about her asshole if a father. Spence put a trap to get her father to confess that he was the one that killed her mother. He told him that Nat wanted his money and he wanted to get rid of her. Spence then also said that they were talking about his daughter and her father said that he knew and that Nat was the same bitch as her mother was. And then he was arrested. Spence needed to go to italy but Nat wanted to tell him about her pregnancy. So she flew to italy and told him. From there their relationship was stronger than ever. Nat wanted to take things slow and wanted to get married in 3 to 5 years time but they ended up getting married after six months. After everything they had a baby girl and they named her angel aven though Spence was skeptical at first.
I loved Spence. Even though Nat was a bit difficult at the beginning he still pushed through because he chased what he wanted. He made her feel important because no one has ever. He helped her brother get sober because he knew it was important to her. He bought her dream house

i had a good time reading this one. their banter and unconventional start had me laughing out loud for most of the times. it's really entertaining reading how two players whose commitment-averse started a fake marriage that leads to more. them trying their best to deny that both of them were catching feelings is so comical.
i liked spencer he's cocky, confident, loving, and the overall stand-up guy. his patience with natalia is unparalleled, if it were other guys they would've probably run for the hills. him standing by her side and being understanding of her hang-ups and issues is so admirable to read. i really loved it as well that he's the one who openly admit his feelings first and not ashamed to do so.
as for natalia i loved her confidence, the no-bullshit attitude, sassiness, feistiness, and intelligence. however, it gets frustrating at times when she won't put her guard down when it comes to spencer. i loved head strong heroines but there's a fine line between holding their ground because it's the right thing to do and when they're just being plain stubborn (sometimes rude) even when it's wrong. and let me tell you that there are a lot of scenes here when she chose to do the latter.
both of them have awful childhood, his mother and her father are both satan's pawn that's for sure. they were both treated badly that causes so much baggage and issues that still holding them down even when grown adults. i would've wanted for them to see or talk to someone to unpack all those concerns. but no mention of therapy was indicated in the book.
it was satisfying reading what happened to their god awful parents. i didn't see the coming but it was really cute. but what i loved the most is their relationship progress and how they become each other's person being vulnerable and open to one another. for the two of them who doesn't have any idea how to be in a relationship and who went through a lot, it was so satisfying to see them navigating the ups and downs of their lives along with their closest friends and to finally be together.
overall this is an enjoyable read, quite long but still worth it.
The series is great, I like every character! Each book follows a pattern that makes it predictable but that’s okay with me. I felt this book was the most all over the place. Usually she has an Insta love, big problem that is so thoroughly researched it allows us to learn about the topic, then time spent apart, therapy and healing then back together Insta engagement with a baby either already on the way or in near future. This one while following the pattern didn’t have a clear issue. Okay commitment. Okay family abuse. But it didn’t dive deep into it the way it did the last issues in the other books, it more or less ignored it, then dealt with it as a closed door in the end. No real therapy other than for the brother, and no real admissions of feelings other than sorry I’m messed up. Did our main girl even ever come right out and say I love you? I know he did many times. But I know she insinuated it and said it other ways. Aside from that, my expectation is always high because Raylin is amazing and I love every one of these books and can’t wait for the others! This one wasn’t my fave but I did appreciate the fire being on point for this couple as it lacked in the last. Brooks and Jake are still my fave. Next one is a rich doctor too yay!!
❤️📖 This is the 6th book in the Billionaire´s club 📖❤️
Finally it is time for Natalie, because let´s face it she was a really great side character in the last two books and so she didn´t have to ask hard to get her own story. And she gets the best partner- Spencer. Story of a couple who met and ended in bed together, enyojing sex but not finishing because a phone call- well that´s something Natalie won´t easily forget and forgive. So Mr. Spencer has to work really really hard to get another chance. And since Spenc knows his ways 🌶️🌶️🥵😈 and doesn´t give up easily, their chemistry and tension lead to fireworks in bedroom.
They both have a dark past and demons they try to forget about but mayby now as they spend more time together and share one room, they will try to face their problems and allow the protecting walls fall down and fight for the happiness together.
But some wounds are deap and it will take much determination for Spencer to not only break the walls but build the trust and heal Natalie´s soul and heart.
I loved this book very much and altought it was a long journey for both characters it was worth the time. I loved we meet old characters again a nd they play huge roll in development of Nat&Spence relationship. I like the banter between our men when they won´t forgive themself anything and they enyoj in some way the suffer each one had to go through.
I am looking forward for the next book and till then I highly recommend this whole series to read. Enyoj.
📖 Book 29/100 📖 Rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 📖 Mr. Monroe 📖 Raylin Marks 📖 I devoured books 1-5 in 2022 and have been impatiently waiting for book 6 ever since. I read it immediately the day it was released on Kindle! 📖 By far my favorite of the series, I think it helped that by now, I knew these characters well from being minor characters in the previous books, so they felt familiar and I was excited to see them as the stars 📖 The hotness did NOT disappoint, but the substance of the plot was solid and it was not just about the spice 📖 I love a good redemption/forgiveness story arch, and this book delivered . . .
Love this series- and Monroe did not disappoint. All of the characters in this series are fantastic- and I love how much we get to see of them throughout all of the books.
Wasn’t sure how I would feel about Spencer- but he turned out to be fabulous. Not sure where his insta-love came from, but it worked for him.
Nat. Hmm. I like her- but she got annoying. How she treated Spencer just got to be too much. I understand she was going through a lot that she didn’t know how to process- but she was still a raging bitch. I liked that she was blunt and all, but sometimes she was just too much that it seemed fake?
Overall I loved the story and I will miss this series- the characters are so great!
Just started reading this. Downloaded this on kindle unlimited. The first problem I have is that there are a lot of technical difficulties in this book. Very often, it imagines it reaches the end and asks for a review. At 11%, at 20% etc. Then at 40%, it goes back to 39% every time. The only way to move forward is to skip the chapter. As understandable, this much of a technical problem really irritates the reader.
On the book itself, maybe because this is book 6 in the series and I didn't want to start from book 1, I don't feel it is written well as a standalone. The 'chemistry' between characters, the attraction nothing is there. It feels like we are starting halfway through their story and from halfway after their story isn't really worth reading.
Definitely if you are reading this on kindle unlimited, give it a miss
"Mr. Monroe: A 5-Star Rollercoaster of Emotions with a Spicy Twist!"
"Mr. Monroe by Raylin Marks is like a rollercoaster of emotions with an extra dash of spice! Marks doesn't just tell a story; they throw in some sizzling scenes that'll make you blush and characters facing dark times, even when the money's flowing. It's like a drama-filled soap opera, but way classier. The audiobook, narrated with flair, turns it into a binge-worthy experience. So, if you're up for a wild ride through ups, downs, and a bit of sauciness, give this 5-star adventure a go – you won't regret it!"
I thought this was a bit long but overall it was an awesome read of Spencer and Natalia. They each were not into relationships because of their abusive families. He asked her to be his fake wife at his brothers wedding in Italy and then to London together on business. Each finding an attraction to one another and trying to build a relationship between them. She had real trust issues and he wanted to protect her and make her happy. I loved reading this series and how the characters from the previous books were in this book. Can’t wait for Raylin’s next book.
Wow.... bloody brilliant!!! I can't say how much I throughly enjoyed reading this book. Spencer and Natalia's is the final book in the Billionaires Club series, and what an ending it was. Talk about leaving the best til last. Told from the POV of both characters, Spencer and Nat both suffered through terrible childhoods as a result of an abusive and selfish parent, Spencer his mother and Nat her father, all for the sake of money!!! Fantastic storyline, wonderful characters and absolutely loved the HEA.
This book really took me on a long convoluted, complex, creative and crazy literary journey. It was fraught with stubbornness by both hero/heroine, intense situations, severe abuse and rudeness from blood relatives - but also has so much spice and steam it almost melted my kindle. I think this story has r]the most surprising HEA I’ve read. Such a far cry from the way it begins it’s really astounding. Just another great book in the Billionaires Club series. Bravo Raylin.
So bitter sweet. I loved Spencer from the beginning and knew when it was his time to fall, he would fall hard. Nat got to be a bit much but overall loved this book and the entire series. Would love an update on all 6 Billionaires and their families. Spence and Nat were the last 2 people on earth that wanted to be in a relationship; at least that is what they thought. Through many ups and downs they have to learn how to open up and trust.
Spencer and Natalia had an awkward past but you can’t deny the chemistry between them.
This book gave us two people who didn’t believe in love. Two people who thought pretending to be married wouldn’t affect them. The author had me smiling like crazy as these two fell fast and hard. As always, we are given a love story that we can’t help but wish for. One we cheer for. This book was a perfect addition to the series.
Nat and Spencer's love story evolves with passion, deception, arguments, trust issues, humor, family drama, childhood trauma and abuse, murder and a happily ever after. At times I didn't like Nat's character very much. If you choose to read the books in this series I recommend that you read the books in chronological order because the stories build on each other.
The complexity of relationships and the impact of wealth in families was an interesting read. How two singular minded successful people came together with everything against their own beliefs with walls a mile high presented challenges in how to overcome when last expected. A good read and sad that the series has ended albeit more books to come.
The series is incredible, I have never laughed so much, cried from the heart so long and stressed through the problems as much as this series. Thank you so much for keeping me from house work and other things because I couldn’t put my Kindle down. Raylin your mind for story telling is amazing can’t wait for Dr Aster book 7 Keep on writing…❤️
Loved this book. My first one by Raylin Marks. The chemistry between Spencer and Nat is awesome as is the storytelling. Loved the way the author has depicted the internal monologue and the emotional evolution of the chatacters. Also the way the softer emotional scenes have been played out.
Nat was exhausting. Seriously. EXHAUSTING. There’s a difference being being a ball buster and being a hag. I LOVE strong characters, but she was awful. He blew it, yes, but he also figured it out and tried to fix it. Hash it out and move the story on. Quit bringing it up, over and over and over.
I enjoyed this book immensely as I am sure you will. I recommend the whole Billionaire Series and you won't be disappointed. This author is new to me but the excitement and love she puts into her writing is beyond compare. Enjoy all of the ups and downs in this book...you will be glad you did.
I have read all 6 of the books in this series (#7 remains to be read). This one was outstanding! Two players who managed to find love and compatibility! Both characters were very likable. The billionaire lifestyle leaves me in awe! Yet the families have many of the same issues that all families have.
Do you love alpha heroines and how they take over? Well jump in on Alex's and Natalia's story. I love Natalia she is the poster girl for don't give a F. Yeah she takes men chews them up and spits them out. Alex, a player never believed he would fall in love. The story has it's twists and turns. Favorite book in the series.
This whole series has been top notch. I love the books are interconnected and we get to see past characters sprinkled in. It’s like getting bonus epilogues through all eight books. All these books have happy endings and very hot men. The women are also strong and hot and super cool. Highly recommend this series.
This book was so much more than I expected. I love how Spencer’s and Nat’s relationship evolved over time and how they were able to overcome their dark childhood.
I enjoyed Spencer and Natalia's story of finding love even with the crazy parents. It was a great end to the series. I hope you have plans to write Sloane's story and bring her and Becca to at least visit the beach.
