When you search for answers, the ones found aren't always the ones you want.
Andie Receiving my aunt’s magic wasn’t the saving grace I hoped it would be. In fact, it was the start of a downward spiral none of us saw coming.
With my energy acting out, the push and pull of my bond to Foster, and an interest in us from unwelcome parties, I’m not sure how much longer I can shoulder the pressure.
Foster I thought I knew what obstacles stood in the way of finding peace with Andie, but with every step forward, we’re forced three more back.
Desire fuels my perseverance. Desire to keep Andie safe, to officially make her mine, to make sure no one else has to die on her watch.
Except when we find out who our greatest enemy is…that’s something I won’t accept for as long as I’m still breathing.

I love these characters! So many twists and turns in Andie and Foster's lives keep the story entertaining and compelling. I can't wait to see what happens next.
SUCH a great story! I loved seeing Andie and Foster's relationship grow and deepen. Andie's magic also grows! This series is absolutely amazing!
💕 RCRS: 6 (multiple scenes with tame descriptions)
🎧 This is a duet narration. The BEST type. Michelle and Noel are fantastic. I think Noel is perfect for Foster.
🗨 Quotes: She was going to be the very thing that nearly killed me— yet kept me breathing all at the same time.
I made a silent vow to do whatever it took to find a solution to our problem that day. I wouldn’t let my mate suffer. Not if there was anything I could do about it.
“Once you go shifter, you never go back. Be careful what you’re asking for,” Gemma warned, and I choked on my own spit. “Is that a legit thing people say?” I asked once I could breathe right again. Gemma shrugged. “It’s what I say and I’m people, so yes.”
Heather Renee has done an excellent job with Altered Magic, the sequel to the first book in the Fated to the Wolf series, Shifted Magic. Andie may have gained some magic but the problems are still building up. Andie has to learn the magic she has and get hers back from Moria. The coven is still under threat because Moria is still coming and won't stop until she gets what she wants and the wolves may be caught in the crossfire. Finally, if that wasn't enough Foster is put in very real danger. It was a great read.
I love Andie, she's adjusting to the magical world much better now. She's learning magic and facing her troubles head-on, no matter what. Andie is persevering, overcoming the obstacles in her way with Foster by her side. Foster is such a fantastic mate, he cherishes Andie and supports her in all things and through all the issues they have to face. Andie and Foster grow even closer in this one, I love seeing their relationship head in the right direction.
As for the others, Beatrix is showing a more caring side (don't worry she still has that snarky side) and I understand her better in this one. Of course, I have to mention Charlie. Andie and Charlie have a fantastic friendship, it's like they picked up where they have left off and have an incredibly strong bond like Andie never left and their bond is only growing stronger. I love Charlie's spunky attitude and quirky sense of humor and wouldn't mind her having her own series.
There was major information dropped in this one. Andie learns more about her past and her powers, and a huge secret is revealed. Plus there was a twist I really enjoyed and would love to go into detail about. The reasons behind Moria's attacks have been discovered and have me asking a whole lot of questions. I loved all the witchy stuff, seeing Andie get the hang of things was great. I can't wait to see what she can do when she's at full power.
Altered Magic had Andie, Foster, the Coven, and the Pack face some major problems and the devastation at the end of this book broke my heart. I don't know how many books are planned for the series, but I hope Andie gets a HEA. I need the next book like I need air, I need my heart to heal. My impatience may be a little short with this series but it's only because of how much I'm enjoying it.
Andie has been given her Aunt June’s magic but still can’t get hers as Moira has stolen the moonstone necklace. Although Andi is getting stronger there is problems with the missing magic that is affecting the mate bond with Foster. This book is mainly about Andi’s growth as well as her connection with Foster and the friendships she has with Charlie and others. Beatrix is still mysterious but not the evil bitch everyone thinks she is. There is a bit of action but this is mainly about growing and learning with some humour and lots of love thrown in. It is a quick, easy, fun, entertaining read that ends on a bit of a cliffhanger. On to the next book in a hurry.
What just happened here? When you start reading this book.....be prepared because dang. I have loved both Andie and Foster since the very beginning, and this book just made me like them even more. So much happens in this one, that you will be yelling, crying and throwing your reading device. I seriously need the next installment because my nerves are shot. Loved every moment of this I listened to the audiobook and it's amazing
Once again this author has left us with a major cliffhanger that has teared out my very soul! Time has moved on since the last time we saw Andie and Foster. It has been 4 weeks since the tragic ending that Heather Renee left us with. But have hope for things are not quite as they seem.
Andie now has her Aunt Junie's magic but there are still some major twists and turns to come. Altered Magic lives up to its title. Andie has got everything she ever wanted, Foster, her mate, people that she can call family, her magic back and yet not all is well. Something is wrong with her magic and it is affecting her bond with Foster, putting it and other things I won't spoil in danger.
Some pretty shocking truths come to light and yet our heroine deals with it really well, taking the punches and rolling with them. Her courage and determination as well as Foster's absolute devotion are to be admired. As long as she has him at her side then she can do anything.
But I really feel for Foster, after his tragic past he will do anything, sacrifice anything to save and keep Andie to not feel the pain he has had to endure. Foster has lost so much it makes him over-protective to a fault and yet I can't help but love him for it. Whilst Andie though I love her for it is exactly the same. She throws herself into every danger sacrificing herself and giving her all to protect the ones she loves which makes these two the perfect match for each other. But neither of them fully stop to consider the consequences.
Beatrix is still the gruff, rude witch that I love and it was nice to see more of her personality come out in the right way that reminded me why I love her. She has definitely redeemed herself after going slightly rogue in Shifted Magic and i really enjoyed the direction the author took this character.
What I enjoy most about Heather's books are the cameos from previously loved characters stepping in to help when they are needed. You form quite the attachment to the characters from this authors story and I'm never ready to left them go. Thankfully i don't have to and it was great to see some of them again. I won't spoil which ones you will have to read Altered Magic to find out.
Where to begin........I fell in love with foster and Andie in Shifted Magic. Their bond and love felt unstoppable to me. Reading this book only cemented their relationship for readers. The love and devotion that I felt while reading is a thing of wonder. They would do anything for each other, including sacrificing their own lives in order to keep the other safe. Now don't take this as a spoiler because no one dies but Their love is EPIC! Something so strong that nothing can tear them apart! Now the bad guy, Moira will try and try to to separate them and get Andie's magic. The trial and tribulations that these 2 face is incredible but again, their love for each other will get them through!
Heather Renee delivers an outstanding book 2. I was riveted and once I started reading I did not put down the book. Did I cry?...Yep. Was I destroyed?.....Yep Do I believe that Heather Renee will heal my heart in book 3...Absolutely! When an author can bring out emotions of a reader, you know they are good. Heather brought those out and more. She is an incredible author and is also one of my auto buys. Go Pick up this series. I promise you will enjoy it as much as I did. Book 3 is coming out in September so you have time to catch up before the finale. I give this book 5 stars!
So we are back to the world of Andie and Foster. It has been a few weeks since moire and her dark magic and witches attacked which left Benjamin seriously injured and gave Andie her aunt Junie magic. Andie and Foster just keep getting more and more thrown at them but they deal with it the best they can and I think it brings them closer together. They both keep putting themselves in danger because all they want to do is keep the other safe and protect the ones they love. I feel so sorry for Foster as he dosnt want what happened in the past to happen again. Beatrix is still just the rude witch you love to hate but I think she comes from a loving place she just dosnt know how to show it. I love how Heather always adds in some previous characters from her other inter connecting series and this book is no exception, we see these characters pop up which is always fun to read. Overall another book with plenty of twists and turns throughout that leaves you wanting more and more
Freaking out more than a little bit!! How did everything go so wrong?! Andie and Foster are so broken and with the looming uncertainty, this is one angsty read. If I didn't know that a happily ever after was guaranteed, I'd be throwing things in one epic tantrum. But Heather Renee never delivers an ending anything less than superb.
Andie tries to gain control of her powers but the twisty plot just keeps throwing shade. And things become very dangerous for our hot alpha. The chemistry is intense and absolutely delicious!
The supporting characters show up majorly and bring their humor. There's heart, heat, friendship, true devotion, and love in this unputdownable middle book.
But... I'm still quite anxious to get that next book in my hands! That's the mark of a great book and I've been stamped by this one.
I liked this better than the first. The ending is sad however, remember it's a book the author can do anything they want. That means this book can be sad at the end and the next have a happily ever after! People get hurt in this one & kidnapped. This is war with Moira. In this book Andie & Foster learn something is wrong with their bond. Foster's wolf is growing weak. Andie while she does great at practicing & preparing for Moira she isn't ready in my opinion to take her on. And she took her on to stop her from going after Foster or anyone else. Yet, in the end she couldn't let Moira take Foster or anyone. Unfortunately, her actions have dire consequences for her & Foster & others. And the victim Moira took. However, I think Moira will get more than she bargained for from the person she kidnapped, lol!
"I had to believe that every step forward—or backward—and every bump in the road was guiding us toward where we were meant to be." Andie 💕 Heather has done an amazing job continuing Andie and Foster's story. Altered Magic instantly pulled me into Andie and Foster's world. The road they are on seems to have so many bumps, twist and turns you don't see coming. They are tested in so many ways their bond, her magic and the connections with the witches and wolves. This was an emotional page turner, full of suspense, sexual tension, passion and turmoil. I can not wait to see how it will all turn out for everyone.
I swear this author can do no wrong with her amazing writing, amazing characters and even better story lines. Foster and Andie are two of my all time favorite characters from this author and they showed so much growth in this book. This book was amazing. Andie and Foster both get answers to Andie’s magic but I really don’t think anyone realizes just how powerful she was going to be. Their journey is filled with twists and turns and is bumpy like off roaring in the desert and they are really working for their HEA but nothing worth keeping is ever easy. I was once again captivated from beginning to end and that ending left me with my jaw on the floor I need the next book asap!
Heather, Heather, Heather - why? She knocks it out of the park, but that ending is a cliffhanger. Andie is evolving in her magic and her bond to Foster. It's not exactly the bond they were expecting, but could it be because of her magic? Beatrix, Charlie, and Holden are throughout the book. So is Benjamin and you meet his mom also. There is a surprise there - it's a good one. Moria is being a witch and you learn a little back story about her. She is definitely still very much a dark magic witch. Can Andie beat her and get her necklace back? Expect twist and turns and a few laughs also. Book three will not come out soon enough
I'm out of my mind after that f'ing ending 😫😭 but, you know what?, I love this angst, this pain!... yeph, because just a great author can enthrall you and make you feel so intense and different emotions through her book... and then left you heart-broken and needing more of her fantastic story... and you will be back for more of her series, because it is a guaranteed work of art! 💕 This brilliant installment will give you all that, through a beautiful story of love, friendship, family, loyalty, strength and self-growth! 🤗🥰 Heather just keeps getting better and better with each new series; so looking forward to read the next and final book! 😍🖤🔥
The best of both worlds you get the fated mates instant love vibe but with a steamy slow burn romance. I can’t say enough about how much I love this story. You get a snarky best friend, a broody beta, a steamy older alpha, a complex matron, and a villain you love to hate. On top of all that you get crossover characters from a previous series. I loved the entire book but from about 60% to the end my house could have burned down around me and I probably wouldn’t have even noticed. I could not put this down.
There was so much happening in book two; I absolutely couldn't put it down! Andie has to learn about her magic, how to use and control it, and her history and do it fast because Moira is still out there and still a huge threat! There were definitely some interesting twists in this book and -that ending-! I really have no idea what direction certain plot lines are going to go in for the next book and I love that! It's not often a series can really keep me guessing! Can't wait for book three to come out!!
In book two of the Fated to the Wolf series, “Altered Magic” is well developed and has excellent story and character growth/development throughout the whole book. Andie is growing so much in her magic and is also growing closer to her “mate”, Foster. Foster is growing in more patience and support for Andie. He will do anything for her and that includes being more tolerant of the witches. Heather Renee does an excellent job with writing the middle book of Andie and Foster’s adventure against the Dark Witch. And as usual the ended will just leave you wanting book three as soon as possible.
I absolutely adore this book! Foster and Andie have suffered so much that I’m happy for the both of them. But this book is a doozy for them!! I love how the characters are very mature and use their heads to think about things and how it will affect others. Very refreshing. That ending!! The queen of plot twists and book hangovers stuck again!! I very much enjoyed Michelle Sparks voice. She was perfect for me for Andie. She used a wide variety of tones and inflections and it was easy for me to differentiate which characters were speaking. Can’t wait to see what happens next!
Andie and Foster have a lot to overcome, witches, wolves and magic that isn't quite at the level needed to overcome Moira and her coven of dark witches. Meanwhile her bond with the sexy alpha Foster is weakenng and decisions need to be made. A cliffhanger with a lot of angst and sadness will leave you wanting to do personal damage to the author but knowing her books as well as I do a HEA will eventually find our mated couple. How much damage will be done along the way is yet to be determined
This book was non stop action I felt like. It was something to another and my heart felt heavy the entire time knowing there was something off with the mate bond! The end was so chaotic and I have to mentally remind myself this was a book and not real…. :) good books you get lost in and it often feels like reality. I feel like I am there with Andie and Foster, heart breaking and all!!
Altered Magic (Fated to the Wolf, 2) Author: Heather Renee M/F Paranormal Romance Wolf shifters, witches
Stars: 4/5
I loved the second installment of the Fated to the Wolf series even more than the first one. We get to see more of and learn more about some of the supporting characters. We got some great cameos, which always make my little fangirl hear happy. We figure out some secrets, find some more problems and oh boy does the author TURN UP THE HEAT. Yasss. Growly, possessive wolf shifters who live to please their mate, AM I RIGHT?
I can't wait for the next book, especially after the way we were left dangling with this one. if we are lucky we will see some cameos from our other favorite wolf pack.
Ooooh Heather Renee, you are killing me!! This book ratchet everything in Andie and Foster’s world up a notch. New levels of steam, new layers of friendships and allegiances, new dangerous levels of magic…. Wow. The stakes were high and I was utterly hooked. That cliffhanger left me devastated and on the edge of my seat. I need book three ASAP!!
I absolutely adore this series. Andie and Foster together are just perfection, even if nothing seems to go their way. I love how confident they are in their feelings for each other. This second installment is FULL of action. No dull moments at all, and I loved all the twists! Cannot wait for book #3!!!
Good Read! This book is more focused on Andie adjusting to her magic, was hoping for a bit more action and fighting but the action that was there was still very good. I like the character development of Andie and the mix of friendships Andie builds with the witches and the wolves. The book flowed nicely! This book does end on a small cliffhanger. I am eager to read the next one !!
First off, let me say that I am glad Heather decided to relieve the trauma she induced at the end of the last book. This installment was action packed, super swoon worthy, and just simply amazing!! I can’t get over how enthralling this world is and so incredibly well written! Highly recommend!!
Andie has so much to learn and not much time to learn it all. She has to learn how to control her magic and she’s got to figure out what she’s doing. There was a lot packed into this book and it was seriously intense. There was also a lot of angst to be had. The ending drove me slightly crazy and I need the next book so badly. I seriously loved this second book.
Andie finally is all in with her bond to Foster but things never go easily. With a dark witch out for Andie magic things will only get worse before they getting better. I loved this book but it has on hell of an ending. I am counting the days until Forged Magic comes out to see what happens next with Andie and Foster.
The first book was OK, and although I didn't connect to any of the characters, I figured I would give the second book a try and see if it got better. It didn't. I didn't care what happened to the characters or where the plot ended up. The story couldn't hold my attention so I will not be continuing the series.
Magic is complicated for Andie and Foster and the aftermath has devastating consequences. Andie is loosing people left and right and if she doesn’t get her magic under control everyone she loves will die.
Amazing second book in this series! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Andie and Foster have found many of the missing pieces that they needed to know about her magic....this ending though I need book 3 like NOW!!!
