I love anthologies because they always allow me to discover new to me authors that I probably wouldn’t have read if it wasn’t for the anthology. But mostly, this one had me at tentacles. Say the word tentacles when it comes to romance novels and i’m here for it, always. To me, nothing is more effective at making a romance novel hoter than tentacles, there is just something special about them.

Your Mate by MA Innes
Rating: 3.5 stars
Blurb: Evan is applying for a job to do porn. There, he meets Artie, an alien who has tentacles. Artie takes a liking to him and wants to work with him and take him on dates. They end up falling in love.
Themes: lots and lots of tentacles themed sex

My thoughts:
This story was so much fun to read. I loved their interactions so much. They were just so ridiculous and full of banter and they made me laugh a lot, which is always appreciated. I spent most of this story laughing out loud at the antics that both main characters were up to, this one was just so much fun to read.

The second that Artie sees Evan, he knowns that he is his mate and wants to be with him. I loved how devoted to Evan Artie was and how all Artie wanted was to be with Evan. I love when a main character sees someone once and then claims them as theirs and it was the case here and I really enjoyed that.

This story was also very hot, which is always a very good thing in my book.

——————

Squid Pro Quo by Lorelei M. Hart
Rating: 3 stars
Blurb: Wade is a human omega who falls in love with Hurley, a octopus shifter.
Themes: shifter, mpreg

My thoughts:
I really liked the setting of this one. It was very nicely described and it was a lot of fun to read.

The romance in this one was just so sweet. It was very cute and I really enjoyed reading about it because of that. It just put the biggest grin on my face due to how cute it was. These two characters were just so sweet together and I loved all of their interactions, they were just so cute.

This story was very cute and quite entertaining.

——————

Tentacles and Tea by Toby Wise
Rating: 2.75 stars
Blurb: Jonas, an octopus shifter, has writer’s block so he decides to move to try and fix it. He meets York, who is part fae, and they fall in love.
Themes: shifters, mpreg

My thoughts:
This one was just so sweet. I really enjoyed how they met and how they got to know each other. All of their interactions were super cute and they were a lot of fun to read.

This one was so hot. I really enjoyed all of the things that Jonas did with his tentacles. They were so much fun to read about.

I really wanted to love this one but sadly the events in this one were just all a little too fast going for me and I couldn’t really connect with the story as much as I wanted to.

——————

Kraken’s Mate by Jennifer Cody
Rating: 4 stars
Blurb: Soren goes for a test drive in a submersible in the Atlantic. There, he gets kindnaped by a kraken, named Cam, and they fall in love.
Themes: mythology, kraken

My thoughts:
I absolutely love stories where one of the main character sees the other and he just has to have him. This was the case for Cam, who saw Soren once and knew that he had to kindap him so he could have him. And I just loved that, so much.

This one was just so much fun. I adored both Cam and Soren as characters and they were delightful to read about. I just loved their persona so much. And these two had such good banter, it was just so lovely to read all about it.

Also, I just loved reading from Cam’s pov, he was just so into Soren and so obsessed with him and I loved that.

I just enjoyed reading this story, a lot. It was just such a nice time. And I loved how intricated and well built the world was. This story was just an absolute joy to read and I very much enjoyed it.

I received an arc of this book, and this is my honest opinion

MM Romance Anthology
Tentacles 🦑
4 Stars ⭐️

This had me at the word ‘tentacle’. I will say octopus 🐙 shifters might be my new thing. I don’t even like reading about mpreg but I LOVED the egg preg in two of these stories. And then the one with the kracken? I loved how his tentacles had a mind of their own and when he talked to them I was in hysterics.

“I glance down to find that the little mischief makers have denuded him and one of them is taking advantage of his johnny. “Consent!” I bark at them, flicking my deadly claws at them.”

The only one I was on the fence about was the first one because while Artie’s tentacles were hot, he was an alien and something about the way he talked and acted bugged me. Aliens aren’t really my thing in general though. Unless…they have tentacles.

This anthology contains 4 stories (I am only familiar with one of these authors' work) all of which include a species with tentacles.
If you're into tentacles (so many appendages 😆), mpreg and mates this one may be for you.
It was a wild, steamy and interesting ride.

I didn't enjoy this anthology as much as I thought I would, but my rating for each of these is quite the variety. In total, the average for this anthology would be 2.9 stars.

Your Mate by M.A. Innes review:
I got 40% into this novella and it just felt repetitive and I kept waiting for the interview to be over but I guess that was a main part of this book? I hope the next novellas read differently.
2 stars

Squid Pro Quo by Lorelai M. Hart review:
This one was very sweet and fast paced, I enjoyed it quite a bit.
4 stars

Tentacles and Tea by Toby Wise review:
This was really cute, but, there were so many errors. One that stood out among the others was that Succulent was seemingly auto-corrected to Succubus TWICE. Despite that, I really liked the storyline and characters, so 3 stars it is.

Kraken's Mate by Jennifer Cody:
I didn't enjoy this one quite as much as I enjoyed the others but it was still okay.

Aristotle and Evan’s story is set in the entertainment industry. Evan is so darn adorable and Aristotle is hot and steamy, They have undeniable chemistry!

Squid Pro Quo by Lorelei M. Hart
Wade and Hurley’s story was sweet and set in a small town. The town council wants to take Hurley’s house, so he goes to a lawyer, Wade.

Tentacles and Tea by Toby Wise
Loved, loved, loved York and Jonas!! Fantastic chemistry and so sweet and steamy!

Kraken’s Mate by Jennifer Cody
This one was so freakin funny! Soren is testing his new submersible when he runs into a kraken!

Each of these story’s were so freakin good, addicting and left me wanting more. Each were well written, highly recommend.

Overall
These 4 MM stories are all about fated mates and are more sweet than sweaty. There is hardly any angst. 2 stories (the 2nd and the 3rd) have egg-mpreg, end with babies and are very domestic. The other two stories are more original, funnier and steamier, and had my preference.
All in all, Tentacle Tales is a nice and easy read. Some stories could have used better editing, though.

Your Mate by M.A. Innes - 4 stars
A very steamy yet sweet story with an exhibitionism kink and D/s dynamics. The job interview seemed to drag a little for entertainment purposes only and I'd have liked to see physical pleasure from the tentacled character in addition to the pleasure being only focused on the human character, but those are my only complaints.

Squid Pro Quo by Lorelei M. Hart - 2 stars
I know many people love this author's work but it is not for me. There was no chemistry between the main characters, the story felt underdeveloped and the acceptance of the town's people came out of the blue. It was basically a summary of what happened in the months between meeting and having babies, and this glimpse into two lives was hardly interesting. Very domestic. A lot of telling and no showing, and very little steam. I was a bit puzzled when the omega appeared to be able to breastfeed the babies. I hadn't come across that yet. The alpha and omega roles seemed to have switched, which was refreshing, but I wasn't a fan of all the 'my alpha' and 'my omega' instead of just using your lover's name (which is much more intimate, in my opinion).

Tentacles and Tea by Toby Wise - 2,5 stars
Ugh, the whining. The inner dialogues. The self-doubt. The miscommunication. This story has all the cliches. It started out promising but what happened? It's probably me and not the story but I think this type of story has been overdone and all the typical cliches used too much. What's more, York turned into a typical omega, and there wasn't anything about his fae blood. I liked the tea house and York's fashion but that was about it.

Kraken's Mate by Jennifer Cody - 4,5 stars
A highly amusing and original story! Cam the Kraken is so unintentionally funny, Soren cute and sweet, and I really liked the overall story and (Lovecraftian) background.

Tentacles and Tea by Toby Wise

Oh my lord, could Jonas and York have been any more adorable. Jonas, an octopus shifter is taking some time away to try and cure his writers block. He meets York and is drawn to him immediately. York is, likewise, drawn to Jonas. I loved how they danced round one another at first. After that first date, it’s mostly history. York takes Jonas home and basically keeps him. There was some extra spicy tentacle love and the whole concept of Jonas leaving sucker marks all over York was super hot.

Very little, if any, angst here. Just a story of two magical men meeting and falling in love. It was just so lovely. We even get a small glimmer of Matteo and Simon from Sucker for Love and it was such a great easter egg to throw in. I loved this from start to finish and I never wanted it to end.

Your Mate by M.A. Innes

I really liked Your Mate as well. Aristotle was so sexy and the way he spoke made me smile so much. Evan was adorable all around. Their chemistry was off the charts. For a story set around the adult entertainment industry, it really had a lot of heart. I wish we had gotten a chapter or two from Aristotle’s POV, just for the entertainment value. I love his literal translations of everything.

Frankly, all of the offerings from this anthology are great and you cannot go wrong with any of them. Highly recommended for any tentacle loving human. 😉

4.5

4 different authors, 4 different styles, but Tentacle Tales just works.

It starts off toe curlingly hot and steamy with aliens and the adult entertainment industry. The attraction moves quickly but I loved that, it fit the story well.

The second story is a sweeter slower burn but just lovely in a small town setting. The characters were easy to like and had a pretty well rounded out backstory.

The third has cameo appearances from characters from the authors Sucker For You book (which I loved) and it was adorable. I really liked both mcs and their connection. It slotted into the larger world that the author has created seamlessly.

The final story was a little more wacky in the way that I've come to expect from thus author. A whole lot of fun and something I'd like to see more off. I want more adventures with Soren and Cam.

A solid 3 1/2 stars for Toby Wise’s addition to this anthology. It was adorable, sweet, and sexy as hell. I love me some tentacle/octopus arms in my fiction when it’s done right.

I read the other three and really didn’t care for them, but I will definitely suggest to my friends if you’re interested in this kind of thing in MM fiction, to at least check out Toby’s.

This book has 4 different novellas involving a human (or human-ish) MC and a MC with tentacles. Lots of steam involving the creative ways of using all those extra limbs. Reading it all at once was a bit too much insta love/lust for me but they would probably be nice reads in-between med/high angst books.

Book 1: was set in the New Neighbors world so it involved an alien with tentacles that had no alternate human form. Very insta-lust/love, BDSM(ish), p0rn stars/exhibitionism, and mates. I didn't fully enjoy it because I'm not a big fan of the master/dom controlling everything and expecting submission all the time.

Book 2: An omega, but human MC and an alpha, squid shifter. Still insta lust/love but slower burn because of the alpha being afraid to reveal his shifter side. Has mpreg with eggs.

Book 3: An octopus shifter and a part fae, but mostly human MC. Insta lust/love, mates, and mpreg with eggs. I enjoyed this one but wish it had been longer so we would have gotten more relationship development. It was just too insta for me to really love it.

Book 4: I believe this one is kinda interconnected with Jennifers Diviner series so It might help to read those before this one as some of the characters are mentioned. A human MC and a kraken shifter who seems to have many forms, including human(ish) ones. I enjoyed this one but was a bit lost on some of the side things as I haven't read all the Diviners books.

If you're into tentacles, mates, and just super cute stories, this may just be the anthology for you! I knew going into it that 2 authors weren't completely for me and I actually was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed their stories! Still, I'm going to review my 2 favorites since they worked for me the most!

Squid Pro Quo by Lorelei M. Hart
You get everything you can expect from a Hart story in this one. It's sweet, has great characters, and. of course an ending with cute babies. Set in a small beach town, it was the perfect scene for these two to get their HEA

Tentacles and Tea by Toby Wise
Toby is one of my go tos for super happy, sugary sweet, Mpreg stories and this one definitely fit the bill. I loved that it was set in the same world as Sucker For You, and you get a very brief look at the former MCs. It was romantic, fun, and just all around smile inducing!

my mate - 5/5

it was so sweet. the way aristotle was speaking was so entertaining. i liked how evan wasn’t protesting the bond and the relationship between them.

squid pro quo - 3/5

mmm wasn’t a fan. it took too long to begin a romantic plot. also pregnancy trope wasn’t my favorite. i knew it was kinda omegaverse but wasn’t expecting a pregnancy.

tentacles and tea - 2/5

everything was so good until the misunderstanding trope. it was so dumb. they could’ve just talk.

also pregnancy trope. eggs freaked me out.

kraken’s mate - 4/5

loved cam. the way he talked was very peculiar and fun to read. also liked how his arms were different entities from him with their own minds.

soren gave me bad vibes sometimes when he was making unnecessary demands.

Tentacles are just so hawt to read about for some reason, and these 4 stories are hot and funny and sweet.

MA Innes' story was so fun. I love the whole adult entertainer aspect of it, and the communication between the two is just so fun.

Lorelei Hart's story about an octopus and a lawyer getting together and saving each other was really sweet, and gave me a happy.

Toby Wise has another octopus finding his love, but this time we get an author and a tea shop owner, and both shifters.

Jennifer Cody is a relatively new to me author, and I love the world she has created that goes along with this story. Cam the Kraken was just so fun.

A collection of 4 stories, and I really enjoyed what I read! Squid Pro Quo by Lorelei M. Hart - this was just so cute! I really enjoyed the romance between these two. 3.5 stars.

Tentacles and Tea by Toby Wise - 3 stars. Also super cute and I really enjoyed the sweetness and love between the two MCs. I think I enjoyed this one more than their first book in this 'verse.

Kraken's Mate by Jennifer Cody - 5 stars. OK, this story was just brilliant and sexy and hilarious and fun! Jennifer Cody has such a great writing voice to her books, I have loved what I have read previously. I definitely need more of Cam and Soren together, they were so great. I absolutely loved this one!

Ok I have never read a shifter story, quite like the ones in this Anthology. They were all very intriguing. I loved reading each one. If you're looking for something outside the norm of shifters then this is it.

Yep, I was his puppy.

Your Mate - MA Innes
3.5/5 -- Tropes:
This had a great premise, but I do felt like it got drawn out and samey at the end. Aristotle was characterized in a fun way though and with some plot tidying this would be an easy delicious 5 stars!

Squid Pro Quo - Lorelei M. Hart
4/5 -- Tropes:
The language got a little floofy, but overall I enjoyed this cute story! It was almost like an underdeveloped Catch and Release, which I adored. Do I have a sea-creature thing happening right now? I do wish this one had a tiny bit more spice to it though.

York's skin is lovely in its paleness, a perfect canvas for me to leave blossoming marks. My inner shifter loves that idea, wanting to mark York up with our mouth and our suckers so no one would be able to question that he's taken.
-Toby Wise

Tentacles and Tea - Toby Wise
4/5 -- Tropes:
The tea shop setting and York's heritage was super cute, I loved the cozy feel it gave their story. I also loved the idea of his why havent I read this in a book involving tentacles before?

Kraken's Mate - Jennifer Cody
3/5 -- Tropes:
There was a lot going on in this book. I think I'd have rated higher if it was more simple to be honest! It was the spiciest of all 4 installments in this anthology though, that's for sure.

Well. That was a wild ride! I’ll start by saying, mpreg and especially eggpregg are NOT MY THING. however, even the stories featuring that (2&3) were…delightful. Sweet as sugar. I think i liked the first one best, though, it was really freaking hot though I agree with some of the reviews for other stories in that universe saying I wish there was more physical description of the aliens. The story was great though. As I said, the next two were short and sweet and lovely if you can handle eggpreg. The last…well. It’s Jennifer Cody. Off-the-wall bonkers. Hilarious and fun but like super wtf at the same time.

I am glad that I got the advanced copy of this to read and review! It was definitely worth spending my Saturday night reading it.

I love a good anthology. One that involves tentacles? Sign me up. I received and ARC of this anthology for my honest review.

1. Your Mate by M.A. Innes
4 out of 5 stars

This was a very cute story about Evan Parks, pornstar wannabe, and his audition with a porn company. During the audition, he meets Aristotle, an alien performer. I loved how Mr. Nicholas McKenna (the owner/director) would get frustrated by the flirting that was happening between Evan and Aristotle. I wish there had been a little more relationship development and it seemed like Aristotle didn't want to tell (or honestly didn't know) much about the human/alien bond. I haven't read all of the New Neighbors series (only My Cameron) so maybe that factors into understanding the relationship between the two.

2. Squid Pro Quo by Lorelei M. Hart
4.5 out of 5 stars

This was such a sweet, sweet story. We have Hurley, the octopus shifter, who is facing a conflict with his town over his home and entrance to the ocean. They are threatening to take his home by force to create a road to attract tourists. He decides to seek legal advice from Wade, an omega. I really, really liked these two together. They were just so adorable together and I loved how the story ended. I think I smiled the entire time.

3. Tentacles and Tea by Toby Wise
3.5 out of 5 stars

Jonas, an octopus shifter and author, comes to a seaside town to rid himself of his writer's block. He stumbles across a tea shop owned and operated by half-fae York. These two are immediately drawn to each other and become involved. I really thought these two were sweet and lovely. I also liked briefly seeing Matteo and and Simon from "A Sucker for You". I didn't like how these two didn't communicate though. They were so afraid of pushing each other and admitting how they felt that they almost lost each other. The ending was perfect though.

4. Kraken's Mate by Jennifer Cody
4 out of 5 stars

Cam the Kraken meets Soren when his submersible's sonar woke him from his sleep. From there, Cam realizes that Soren is his "person". The one person sent to him by his aunts the Moirai (otherwise known as the Fates). I love how Jennifer was able to merge Greek mythology with her own that she created in her Diviner's Game series. I think it would be hard for someone who has not read any of her books to understand everything that was happening and how all of it fit together. I love the idea that Robbie and Cam are brothers and I am super excited for the wedding. I think that Cam and Soren were very sweet together and I look forward to maybe seeing them in future stories. It would be very interesting to see how these two will live together. Will Soren learn how to use Cam's magic? Just lots of things I wonder about. But as with all of Jennifer's stories, this was a wild, fun ride!

M.A. Ines's story was what we get to read first in Tentacle Tales. I was not a huge fan of this, the main reason for that being is that there was no inclination that it would be a book that featured bdsm. And the whole story was featured around that aspect, I know some people like reading books about bdsm but I would've rather had a heads-up about that feature.

So my overall rating for that is a 3.5.

Next up was Lorelei M Hart's story and this was really great! I loved reading about those two characters, it was so unique and interesting. I've never read anything like it before.

Really great characters? Check. A really great setting that makes you want to be there? Check.
A happy ending? Check, check, and check!! A wonderful story written by the talented Lorelei M. Hart.

My rating for this is 5.

Toby Wise does it again with yet another octopus shifter romance. I love not only York's character but also his uniqueness and his Tea shop. I loved that the primary place that this book took place in was York's tea shop. I just think that setting was so unique and I thought the name was really clever.

To sum it up I thought this was a really great addition to this anthology. Sometimes in anthologies it's a bit hit and miss but this story was definitely a hit!! The background was fantastic! The characters were great as well, they all played off of one another and all had a purpose for being in the story. I would say this is a bit of a slow burn with a fated mates aspect along with mpreg.

We got to see characters from Toby's other octopus shifter book, A Sucker For You. Which I highly recommend you read!!

Overall I give this a 5 out of 5.

Lastly we have Kraken's Mate by Jennifer Cody. I unfortunately didn't care for this one either. I just couldn't get into these two characters. It felt really disjointed and rushed. I understand that it's fiction but I couldn't believe the story that was being told. I did, however, enjoy the uniqueness of the shifter in this story. Usually with shifter stories they appear human when they're shifted, in this story he still has some of his Kraken features. I thought that was a really cool aspect of this book.

Overall for me I would rate this story a 3.5.

I think if you want to read about a lot of extra appendages and men finding their mate, this is the anthology for you. A variety of different stories with different takes on shifters from under the sea. I would recommend this to others who are interested in reading this, just because I didn't care for two of the stories doesn't mean you won't enjoy them.

I want to preface this review that MPreg is really not my thing. Despite that, I loved this collection of Tentacle love! On to the individual reviews...

Your Mate by MA Innes:
This story is set in the New Neighbors world, which I have not read previously. I definitely will now, as this story was fascinating. Evan and Aristotle have instant chemistry. I won't lie and say I wasn't a little shocked that we jumped right into the book with an interview for a Porn star role, but the way it played out was adorable and HOT AS HE-Double hockey sticks!!! I am so excited to read some of the other stories from this world, and am looking forward to getting a better understanding of the aliens and how they interact long term with the humans.

Squid Pro Quo by Lorelei M. Hart:
This story is set in an Alpha/Omega world, which as stated is not my normal cup of tea. Beyond that, Wade and Hurley were so sweet it was hard to not love them. I feel like there was a lot packed into this story that was missing due to the compacted timeline. I think this may have been slightly better as a full length story, I wanted to know more about how the couple won over the town!

Tentacles and Tea by Toby Wise:
This again is my first glimpse of characters set in a previously built world. Jonas and York are both equally sweet and romantics at heart. The pace of this story is different from the others, as both MCs are supernatural. *Spoiler* I will say the birth experience is completely unfair.

Kraken's Mate by Jennifer Cody:
I'm not going to lie to you, Jennifer Cody can do no wrong in my opinion. Everything she writes is on my auto-buy list, and was the main reason I was interested in this book. Though not stated outright, this book is set in her DG series, but is no issue as read alone. That being said I am obviously bias, but this was my favorite of the 4 stories. Soren was so adorably innocent I was instantly in love. Cam was just the Kraken I was hoping for, and I love that his biped form was so different from his MerKraken. The slime was just the silliness I've come to expect from JC, and I hope to see a lot more of this couple in the future!!!

This is a great book to read. This book have several stories to read by different authors. The first book is Your Mate and is about a human and an alien octopus. Evan is the human and has gone in to interview for a position. Aristotle is standing there waiting to be formaly interduced to Evan. Aristotle feels the mating bond and is waiting to see how it will effect Evan. Will Evan agree to the terms of the contract addendum?? Will Evan and Aristotle get their happy ending??
Squid Pro Quo is the second book and it is about an octopus shifter alpha named Hurley that lives in a small town called Clamsdale, his family has lived there for a very long time. The town has been sending him letters to buy his house to tear it down and make a walkway to the sea so that it will bring in more touris. Omega human Wade is a lawyer and has returned to town to live and be the town lawyer. Wade lives next door to Hurley. Hurley comes to town with the papers for his house. Wade said he would take care of it. Wade and Hurley spend alot of time together and grow close. Will Hurley get the family he is dreaming about?? Will Wade earn the respect he is looking for from the townspeople??
Tentacles and Tea is the third book in this book. Jonas is an octopus shifter, he lives in the city and is a writer. An anthology of tentacley goodness? Sign me up!

As with any anthology you get a mix of stories (from aliens to shifters to gods). I think my favourite was the fourth story by Jennifer Cody (Cam was just the cutest!). I loved the world we got to step into and the how sweet the characters were. It was both sweet and fun which is the perfect combination (also, I want a tiny version of Cam now).

Toby Wife’s story is set in the same universe as their other shifter books and we go a quick look at the Sucker for You characters. I enjoyed the story but did find he miscommunication a little annoying (it’s a personal pet peeve and I know lots of other people won’t feel the same way as me). Luckily the miscommunication is super brief and we get to watch all kinds of cuteness.

MA Innes was a little spicier (it’s got adult entertainment in it so I would hope so lol) and had an alien. I enjoy MA Innes work so it was as expected in that sense. I found it a little fast paced but that’s to be expected with a short story. Very much the steamiest I think of the four.

Lorelei M Hart’s story was not as much my jam but it was cute. I did like that there was a steady progression between the characters (this was pretty much zero angst) but at times it felt almost too predictable (like it followed a set pattern). It also felt less… tentacley? To be fair there are tentacles (he’s an octopus shifter so it was bound to happen haha) but it felt more of an afterthought. It was still enjoyable but I think this author’s writing style just isn’t my preference. Still, it was a nice low angst story and a steady read.

Overall, I thought it was an impressive group of stories for an anthology (you’re always going to get stories you don’t like as much due to style etc, but this one was good across the board). Definitely a five star for me!

Amazing, meh, pretty good, a bit much but good

It's hard reviewing a book with multiple authors but I tried to be more than fair. Lemme break it down:

Innes: Freaking amazing! 17 stars! A continuation of the neighbors series that I really wanted and wasn't sure I'd ever get. It was short, yes, but well thought out and packed with heat AND sweet. Will reread that forever!

Hart: meh. 3 stars at best because I did finish (even if I skimmed) and I guess it was technically a complete story. It wasn't exciting or interesting and I really didn't care about either mc that much. It was like a full length book that the author shaved into a novella. Unfortunately most of what got shaved was on page interaction between mcs. Just meh top to bottom.

Wise: pretty good. I'd give it a solid 4 stars but not because I didn't love the mcs or the story. Definitely did. Especially york. But there were alot of editing issues where names got mixed up and eye colors changed. That was just really bad. But I did really enjoy the story and the characters. It's a story I wouldn't have been upset if I'd bought it on its own.

Cody: I loved it at first. Halfway through I was ready to demand a full length book be made of it. Then it connected to another series that's out and it was weird and complicated and kinda left a bad taste. Then it got pretty good again, but I couldn't really enjoy it. Still read it, still liked it, and I love an mc that says stuff like "diddle" and " Good gracious!" If this could have been a stand alone it would have been superb but connecting it in such a way to another series cannon killed it for me.

I still would have bought this for the innes story so I'm not disappointed. But I kinda am because two of the other authors looked like complete amateurs by comparison. Ah well. No regrets.

There is so much to love about this anthology. Four different takes on mates with tentacles by four amazing authors. There is something for all those who love extra appendages lol.
M. A. Innes gives us more from her New Neighbors with Aristotle and Evan. It had me laughing out loud while still giving me those tender sweet moments I love. Not to mention the sexy scenes these two have. Man I want to know all about their work environment and coworkers.
I thought Lorelei M. Hart’s take on shifters was awesome. I especially loved that we got to see them becoming a family. The author really thought it out well. Wade and Hurley were perfect for each other. I want to see more of their world.
Tentacles and Tea by Toby Wise gave us another take on the paranormal world. This world definitely needs to be expanded. I loved Jonas and York together. Their detailed mating was great. I just wanted their world more fleshed out.
Last but not least was Jennifer Cody’s Kraken’s Mate. In my opinion this was the most fantasy type story of them all. With Gods and magic plus a Kraken who really knows how to use his appendages there is no way you can go wrong. I haven’t read the others mentioned in this one but now I definitely will be. The world was amazing and totally my kind of read.
What made this anthology so great for me was what the authors gave me. I got more from a world I love from one author while another introduced me to a world I know there is more out there for me to read. Another reminded me why I love to read their work and another teased me with what they are capable of. All four truly were a joy to read and you can bet I’ll be looking for more from them all.

Thank you for the ARC read, I voluntarily give this book an honest review. These four amazing authors bring together a powerful bundle, of wick naughtiness with just the right amount of kinky heat. From aliens to octopuses and Krakens oh my!..can't for the mannerisms that they bring, from just looking to never dreaming that they was on the road to finding the right person that fills that gap.

Your Mate by M.A. Innes: had me in rolling with the day of the interview. Not even hired yet and was already knee deep in juiciness. Best-Mate-boyfriend-husband!! Evan is taking a walk on the wilder side of the entertainment industry. Aristotle and Evan story is so frecking hilarious, it's got the steam and the giggles down.
Tentacles&Tea by Toby Wise: In a world where the supernatural is hidden, aww it such a sweet leading a romance writer the opportunity to have a real life little chance meeting. After you get a nervous octopus that's a romance writer trying to land tea shop owner that just so happens to be mate mineral. Holy Octoman, that egg laying is out of this world hot.  Jonas creativity was MIA pressured to take a break, sight seeing and relaxation. Who what have thought Tic Tac Tea was the place he would find inspiration. York has a magical touch ..which I just find adorable he is hopeless romantic! Even creatures need love too..right.
Kraken's Mate by Jennifer Cody: it's the invasion of sonar people, that irate Cam's arms! Because those suckers are feral, a mind of their own. Yep it's shamefully funny, how much I laughed when Soren thought they was about to die!  A shapeshifting Kraken Soren can handle but Magical demi-mate ..(is Cam a demigod?) Is to much, I think he broke his humans scientists brain.

This has been a great anthology to read, three known authors that I knew I would enjoy and a new to me one.
There's a good mix of tropes, apart from tentacles, fated mates and low angst. The first has a highly intelligent alien creature who finds his mate at the porn studio he works at. Then we have two octopus shifter stories with egg-preg. Finally, we go huge with a kraken finding his mate who is diving to the seabed in a submersible.
The bonds are quick to develop and can be really intense. All men involved are so sweet, even the kraken. Artimus, the alien, speaks in such a fun way, nothing wrong with it but specifically articulate. The bond he has with his partner is immediate, as in as soon as they meet and the exhibitionist streak his mate has works to their advantage given their job. Both octopus stories are small town, contemporary and the couple's are quickly drawn together but want to take their time as well to ensure their partner wants them for them not just any pheromones pulling them together. Cam the kraken does have a little work to do convincing his mate of magic but given that he's already shifted in front of him and they meet a couple others through a portal, it doesn't take long for their mating to go full steam ahead.
These stories are fun, flirty, definitely hot and perfect for those who enjoy an extra appendage or eight with their fated mates. Easy to enjoy romances that have everyone finding their mates and living their HEA.
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.

This was super fun!!! 😊💫🌈🐙 I've previously read 3/4 of the authors, and enjoyed all the stories here. (I also love the cover!) Here's my take on it:

Your Mate by M.A. Innes ⭐⭐⭐⭐
This author has been hit or miss for me lately as so many of her books start to feel like she's writing the exact same thing, but I particularly love her tentacle series and was thrilled to get this new installment of it. Nothing all that new compared to her others, but still super fun! 💫

Squid Pro Quo by Lorelei M. Hart ⭐⭐⭐
This author is one I usually pass on as I've found their stories and writing style to be overly simplistic for my personal taste, and while that was also the case here, I did read/skim it since it was in the anthology and it was sweet and cute 😊

Tentacles and Tea by Toby Wise ⭐⭐⭐⭐
I've read two other books that I can remember by this author, and just like with those two, I found this one incredibly sweet. He also has a simpler storytelling style compared to some of my favorite authors, but something about his characters and the stories he chooses to tell always makes me smile big time and just feels so genuinely... sweet. LOL. It's really the only word that fits! 💖

Kraken's Mate by Jennifer Cody ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
New-to-me author and holy chaos 🤣 This was SUPER fun and very well-written. I could tell I was missing what was probably some fun cameo nuance that I assume comes from other series she's written, but even so, it was truly great 🎉
