“All I Want for Christmas” is an audible original, and freebee, that’s billed as “A heartwarming story perfect for fans of Hallmark”. It is indeed.

This is a sweet story about a single mom who is about to spend her first Christmas alone. Her son is spending time with her ex; her ex just texted her to let her know that he’s engaged. Christmas is looking bleak for Dr. Allison Hall.

She and a hunky male nurse are cornered into decorating their ward for Christmas. Neither are looking forward to Christmas.

And, surprise, as all those Hallmark movies, the two find the Christmas spirit and their own little Christmas miracle.

This is a bit over 3 hours, and it’s a nice holiday listen. Both narrators, Eboni Flowers and Reginald James do a fine job.

This one started out interesting enough. 🤔 A Christmas fanatic doctor paired with a Scrooge nurse to decorate their floor. 🎄🎅🏻 In true Hallmark Holiday movie fashion, there’s some chemistry. But then, it just kinda fell flat for me. 🤷🏼‍♀️

A sweet holiday story where the heroine ( a doctor and single mom) and the hero (a grouchy nurse) spend time together decorating the nurses station in the hospital. I loved Allison and Dante and Allison’s son, Ty. Very Christmasy and cute.

A cute holiday romance novella about a newly divorced doctor about to spend the first Christmas without her son, and the hot but grinchy nurse she works with. I enjoyed this. It is of course a bit short, but I think it works and I liked the arc of external conflict each character is dealing with. Cute and a good option for people looking for a not-steamy romance option.

An exceptional holiday story that captures the true meaning of Christmas. I laughed, I swooned, I even teared up a bit. And the dual narrators, Eboni Flowers and Reginald James, did an amazing job. Just stunning.

This was sweet and Christmasy, kinda like a Hallmark Christmas Movie.
I would've rated this higher but I found Allison annoying and insufferable.
Way too much respectability politics nonsense for my tastes.

So, if, like me, you're not a fan of "Family Forgives!" theme, have a heads up with this one that you're going to encounter it, and bonus inclusion of faith/God on top of that, so... That's a slice of this story that's so not for me, but that said, I really enjoyed the connection between Alison and Dante, and their journey to getting together, and how well Alison's feelings about this particular first Christmas with her son with her ex was written.

The audio performers were pretty solid, though the man who read Dante sometimes paused oddly and his pacing was sometimes off, but overall they did a great job and I enjoyed them both.

Okay, it's a Christmas story and it's springtime; but I needed to quick book to listen to while traveling around these past few days. Cute story based on a Dr. Mom who is divorced with a little boy and a nurse Hux by the name of Dante. Dr. Allison had to cope with her son being with his Dad for Christmas and her elderly patient close to death who only wants to see his daughter but refuses to acknowledge his feelings. If you are a Christmas Hallmark fan you will enjoy this book.

This is a sweet, no steam romance between a divorced doctor and a grumpy scrooge nurse. It's got a lot of commentary on how black people are treated in the medical system, but the judgy comments on marijuana were a little weird and off putting.

I didn’t expect to enjoy this as much as I did. She’s a single mother and doctor who loves Christmas and volunteered for the Christmas decorating committee; he’s a nurse and a grinch who’s deep into social justice and got roped into helping her.

Slow burn, no spice. Complex characters with complex emotions as they navigate through the holiday season together in spite of their different outlooks on Christmas.

Lots of respectful, easily digestible discussions on grief, EOL care, doctor patient privacy, the dilemma of personal values and experiences conflicting with HIPPA and their Nightingale pledge / Hippocratic oath. Not quite realistic but it unsurprising for what basically feels like a Hallmark Christmas movie-turned-book.

Also it’s wild that this doctor has this much free time. 🤣 There’s also quite a bunch of faith stuff which isn’t my thing but looking up the author, she’s very religious and mostly writes faith heavy books. Nonetheless, I had a lovely time.

This was a short cute Christmas story. I read it while running errands today. It has a grumpy x sunshine trope but a holiday edition. Our fmc loves Christmas and has to adjust to celebrating as a newly single mother alone while her son and ex-husband start a new tradition with the stepmom. Our mmc is a bit of a Grinch, he believes that Christmas is no longer about spirit and care but capitalism. We see both our MC's grow closer together while on a work assignment and assisting a patient.

This was a fast read and it did provide the holiday vibes. I think if this was a bit longer and a little more descriptive I would have enjoyed it more. I couldn't help but roll my eyes at our mmc. I felt his character was hard to care for, he wasn't bad but his thinking made no sense to me.

This story was cute, just kind of lack luster! I loved how grumpy Dante was about Christmas! And I loved that Allison was all about to keeping traditions alive! I really loved that Allison was battling with being away from her son on Christmas, and it’s a conversation that more people need to be had more! The story was cute, but I didn’t really like the female narrator all that much, and I felt like the story was much longer than it needed to be honestly.

A short and sweet Christmas story. I do wish there'd been a little more to indicate what's next for these characters. The ending felt abrupt.
