*Thank you to the author and Social Butterfly PR for a review copy of this title.*

This is going to be a tough review to write. I finished this book last night and I've been sitting with it for about 12 hours now… just thinking about how epic this family saga really is. Because yes, the Filthy Feckers series is a saga in my mind. And Filthy Secret is about much more than just Aoife and Finn O'Grady.

There are over 30 years of secrets that are making their way into the light and that is not going to be easy for anyone. It is going to touch every member of the family and shake things and tear things down that were never meant to be questioned. And who is left standing at the end of this entry to face the aftermath… well, it hit me harder than I was expecting.

This is the first novel that officially can't be read on its own, but as a fan of the series, I don't know how you could skip a single one before this and full know what is happening. The author does a marvelous job of catching us up, but it helps if you already have the history in your mind. There is so much being excavated here that it hits best when you know the ground work.

As I said, it's hard to review this. It still has a bit of the humor that 6 brothers and their unique wives can bring to the Fecker's family, but we are dealing with some soul crushing situations. However, this book is also about how we will move forward and who we are going to be for the long run. Whatever shine was on certain relationships is well and truly worn off and it becomes about if what is underneath is strong enough to stand through the storms ahead.

If you haven't read The Don and The Lady, you may not be prepared for what happens to Aoife and Finn. Thankfully, I did, so I wasn't blindsided to the pain coming. I knew it would happen and I was trying to focus on how they would get through it. I've never doubted how passionate and devoted Finn is to his woman, be he put her in a place where she had no choice but to question it. Those were hard scenes to read but they were necessary to get all the lies and bad blood out in the open. The only way forward for their family is to air it out. Don't worry, this is still and HEA for them specifically even if other parts of the family are not experiencing that right now.

I have been unhappy in the past for the amount of POV's that Akeroyd sometimes uses to tell her Fecker stories. I would get annoyed when I was torn away from the POV of the title characters to visit other places and situations in the world. This was a specific nitpick for when the Sinners would pop in and distract from the tale at hand. What I would like to say about Filthy Secret is that there are MANY POVs in this books, however, they are all members of the family and they are all very important to the story that is building. In fact, that is a big part of why I called this one a Family Saga. While Finn and Aoife have the biggest conflict in their relationship, all other relationships are growing and changing as well and we get to see parts of their evolutions that will be vital to the makeup of the Feckers going forward.

Overall, this book went much quicker than I anticipated and I cannot wait for Filthy King and to see what happens next. I honestly don't know the Feckers will wrap up but I know it will epic.

Thought this review was hard to write, it is not hard to rate.

5/5 stars

Welcome back to the Five Points family- and wow, there is a lot to unpack. So much heartbreak, so many SECRETS- this book is every bit hard as it is cathartic. Serena’s writing strengths come together in a perfect concert in Filthy Secret- her propensity for complicated, interconnected and well woven plots, her strength for creating ensemble based family sagas, her panty melting steamy scene, and her keen and effortless ability to infuse emotional gravitas in the most dramatic, darkest, or unusual of places. And in the latter, this book really shines. Of course, we have all of the mafia family drama and insane chemistry we’ve come to expect from her, but this book packs an intense and consuming emotional punch most of all.

I can’t say much without revealing too much- and this is a book that is best meant to be experienced- to walk alongside our character as years of secrets unfold, both as they discover them, and as they’ve withheld them. While most can be read as a standalone (though they are tightly interconnected), this one absolutely can’t. We met Finn and Aoife in book one, and there story continues here- but the story really builds on all of the books (and if you’ve ready the Lady, you’ll know it connects to that, too). Serena smartly delivers the story in different time periods- which only heightens anticipation, really elevates the secret component as we too lack the omniscience of some of the story. I’ve always been a bit divided on Serena’s use of many POVs in her stories- but here, it really works. Each character we’ve met contribute in a way that each adds their piece- it’s like seeing a big puzzle come together that we didn’t even know was being built, but it all just clicks.

The experience of reading a Serena Akeroyd book is always incredibly immersive, and that is the case here- I feel so grounded in the world of our characters, so connected to their emotions, entangled in the action. I’m consistently impressed by the quality of Serena’s writing- she’s inventive, technically complex, and stylistically nuanced. This story is long and complicated and so angsty and heartbreaking in places, but the reading feels so seamless. I flew through this despite it being a girthy fellow-and while we have lots of characters popping in, the heart of this is really Finn and Aoife- the couple that started it all. And they are so compelling- heartbreaking, riveting, beautiful. And that’s the magic of Serena’s mafia writing- in a complicated world of violence, secrets, abuse, and pain, she somehow keeps the story centered on a meaningful and romantic depiction of unbreakable love. The path to it is extra hard this time- and I had lots of feelings- but Serena still brings the sweet and heartwarming to it all.

Filthy Secret was beautiful and spectacular! I cried like a baby for Aoife and Finn, their devastating loss and betrayal. I wanted to slap Senior and Lena, but then I felt so much compassion for them that suddenly I wanted to hug them because they were only products of their upbringing and the times. My emotions were all over the place, running through a range of sad to euphoric to angry.
So many secrets exposed, it was information overload, and my mind sucked it all in like a sponge, soaking it up, digesting it all, and savoring all the pain and sorrow and regret while celebrating the triumphs, the happiness, and reveling in the hope and promises of peace and harmony.
Serena Akeroyd always gives her readers and fans a plethora of emotions, granting them a glimpse into the chaos of the five points, their lives and inner workings, the love and hostility of the family, their struggles and accomplishments.

I laughed! I cried! I almost threw my book across the room! Grab your tissues, a comfy blanket, some chocolate, and your favourite beverage before you start reading Serena Akeroyd's Filthy Secret! This is Serena at her most brilliant! I was totally wrecked but in the best way possible. This book will not be easy to forget for a very long time. Ten star rating!!! It far exceeds anything I have read this year. I highly recommend this phenomenal Secret busting instalment in the Filthy Feckers Universe.

So many secrets are being kept and so many lives are being affected. Serena's Filthy Secret does not disappoint in any way, shape or form! This story left me with a book hangover, unable to even think about picking up another book until I had fully processed all the little explosions set off when the truths were revealed. You need to have read the five previous books in the Five Points Mob Collection to understand all the references or you will be lost. There are numerous *trigger warnings* so please heed them all before starting on this discovery.

Finn and Aoife are the central focus of Filthy Secret but each member of the O'Donnelly family does get drawn in. No one person or couple is left unscathed in the aftermath. As each secret explodes it leads to yet another that must be dissected and dealt with no matter what the consequences might be. Some people may end up paying the ultimate price. Where and when will it all end? Can the trials and tribulations each family member or couple faces bring them closer together or will it be the end of them?

If you are a fan of Serena Akeroyd, you will find yourself going back to read each chapter again to make sure you didn't miss something important, like a secret you missed the first time. You've got to read this to believe that the truth shall set you free.

Audiobook:
The all-star cast of this audiobook made listening an absolute pleasure. They made me feel as if I was sitting in the room with them as they brought the words to life around me. The growl in the men's voices made me melt. The women made you feel every drop of emotion. This story came to life through the best narrators to ever give voice to words written by the author named Serena Akeroyd.

Finn has held a secret from his wife, Aoife, for four long years and it is tearing him apart. He decides to come clean and this causes a chain reaction within the family of brothers. What will come of each couple as the revelations come to light is anyone's guess as some secrets are more damaging than others.

Filthy Secret is the MUST read entry of the Five Points collection. This story while focusing mainly on Finn and Aoife O’Grady has something for everyone if you are a fan of the O’Donnelly brothers, and each brother (and their secrets) plays a major role in the overall plot line. And what a plot line it is! Readers will be hooked from the first page because in true Akeroyd fashion she dives right into the story! That’s not to say that we don’t get to see more of the character development that readers have come to know and love from this author. While these are not new to us characters we will still be learning new facets to their beings and I for one loved it! This story deals with some very tough hot button topic issues (heed the trigger warnings!) but it is so beautifully done that you will understand both sides of each and every one. Readers will have come into this with opinions and allegiances declared to certain characters but they will be left questioning those feelings and maybe even with a new favorite Fecker! Moral of the story if you are a fan of this series you HAVE to read this book! It is unique to this series in that it’s the only one that cannot be a standalone so don’t think you can spare yourself by skipping it. Grab your tissues your snacks and your favorite blanket and enjoy the ride that Akeroyd takes you on. (oh and be on the hunt for Easter Eggs!)

This book was an explosion of secrets and lies, tests in loyalty and love, heartbreak and rebirth. As it's Aoife's story, much revolves around her and the bomb that was dropped in The Lady, but all the brothers and wives shine. Each gets time for the truth to come out and atonement and emotion ride high as they each realize what they have in their loves. The women also really shine here. They have each other's and their men's backs; they rage and accept and revel and stand firm. You really see how perfect each pair is. But Finn and Aoife, I do not envy the journey the go on, but I love how they come out on the other side: stronger, closer, with nothing but truth and love between them. I laughed, cried, grew in anger and finally understanding, and the steam, of course, was perfection, but this book, as amazing as it is, is really the beginning of what's next for these Feckers. And I have to say, the changes, the steadfastness, the loyalty really sank into my heart and made me love them even more. When an ending like a punch to the gut, it feels like this book is the dawn of a new day, and I'm so very excited to see what comes next.

Book 6 in The Five Points Mob Collection, we read Aoife's story.
The Secrets finally start coming out, and I was shocked.
Bring your tissues for this one.
The plot was a whirlwind of Drama that I was not expecting.
All the characters brought something to the book with their different secrets.
Such a heartbreakingly good plot that leaves you wanting more.
And the ending left me sobbing.

Filthy Secret
(The Five Points Mob Collection #6)
Written by: Serena Akeroyd

Secrets here, Secrets there, we find Secrets everywhere!

She did warn us! With “Secret” being a big part of the title you have to wonder what will book six contain….well it contains a lot of secrets. Yes plural, secrets all over Hell’s Kitchen and a few other places as well.

As readers of The Five Points series, we know there are secrets, we think we’ve heard everything but we haven’t heard half of it! Have they learned the dangers of keeping secrets from each other?

Fellow readers, keep those Kleenex close at hand, take short walking breaks (like for another cup of coffee, or large glass of wine) and be prepared to literally have your socks knocked off! This book is jammed packed with revelations, confrontations and apprehension! If you thought our lovely lady author had given us e-readers angst before Filthy Secret, you would be wrong. We aren’t just hanging out with The Five Points any more.

So, yes, Finn and Aoife rule this story, I mean who had been harboring a BIG secret for such a long time? We time travel a bit, present and past; which just adds to the “secret” experience. To learn the whole story though that’s how it has to be. We hear from all the brothers, their wives as well as Sr. and Lena; but we hear from a couple of other people…and don’t worry you need to hear from these folks to put it all together.

Author Serena Akeroyd is cleaning the dusty cupboard and preparing her readers for the next book. Did you think I would let you in on these secrets? No, not a chance! Prepare yourself because this ride just took a twist no one was expecting! This story is more than five stars; it is off the charts stars!
I hope you enjoy this as much as I did…now we wait for book 7.

I honestly don't know what to say other than... Just buy it.
There are no words that will do this book justice, completely speechless and AWED!
It's brilliantly written, the flow, the characters, the story line, even with multiple POVs, its everything and the Family Dynamics just brings it home!
It hits all the FEELS – I felt gutted, emotional, heart wrenching, warmth, love, devotions, hot, steamy, suspense, anger. This book had it all.
I am floored and shocked at how an author can pour so much heart felt moments into one book that you feel like you are a part of the O’Donnelly family.
Just when I think Serena couldn't get any better. She hit this book out of the park.
BRILLIANT!

Phenomenal , that's the one word that sums up how i feel about this book . I couldn't put it down , i was hooked from the very first page. It took me on such an emotional rollercoaster with all the secrets that needed to be spilled. I laughed and i cried on many occasions whilst reading it. Another amazing five star read in this series for sure and if i could I'd give it more. In my opinion it's one of the best books I've read this year and i can't wait to see what this author does next.

Okay...my original review of Filthy Secret is below but I recently finished a reread of this book via Audible. The audiobook version is hands down one of the best narrations I've experienced. And it is quite the experience. You've got Jacob Morgan (yummy) and Emma Wilder headlining an all-star cast of narrators, including Teddy Hamilton, Joe Arden, Connor Crais, Jason Clarke, Muffy Newtown, Maxine Mitchell and CJ Bloom. How can you go wrong with this cast? Every chapter brings depth and layers to this masterpiece written by Serena Akeroyd. Jacob Morgan is one of my favorites but Jacob Morgan as Finn O'Donnelly...hold on to your hearts (and your panties). And Emma as Aoife? This is Emma Wilder’s best performance this year! Loved, loved, loved it!

Okay....you may now proceed to the review!

You’re not ready. You may think you are, but you’re not. Filthy Secret is not a book you can go into lightly, thinking that because you’ve read the other Fecker books that you are somehow prepared for what’s to come. Because you’d be wrong. Because there is no preparation for this story. This is different from any of the other Five Points Mob books and Serena Akeroyd weaves a masterful story amid the web of secrets and lies that surround the O’Donnellys.

The main story centers on Aoife and Finn, their secrets and decisions, and the consequences of those choices. Once these sorrows are let out of Pandora’s proverbial box, they cannot be put back and it forever changes, not only Finn & Aoife, but every relationship within the Fecker clan. Yes, Finn’s secret serves as a catalyst and propels the story forward and the couple struggles to find their way back to one another, but there are so many other secrets exposed. Each O’Donnelly couple is featured in their own way and their relationships undergo their own evolutions as a result of the light being cast on their particular shadows.

This book is truly an emotional experience. It is heartbreaking and heartfelt, filled with revelations that will decimate our favorite Irish mob family (and you too). With every secret, every scene, every conversation, you can feel the ties that bind this family together being cut away. Snip, snip, snip. Only for something completely new to be formed in the end. The writing is superb. The characters are unforgettable. And the story is unlike anything you are expecting. There is only one thing you will know for certain once the last page ends. Nothing…nothing will ever be the same again.

Filthy secrets is book 6 in the five pointers collectionIt and is narrated by CJ bloom Jason Clark teddy Hamilton Joe Arden Connor crais Samantha Cook Muffy Newtown Maxine Mitchell. Wow what an all-star A list cast for narrated books. This has to be my favourite one that has been narrated for the five pointers Collection because all the different narrators have come together for filthy secrets and it takes the audiobook to another level listening to all the different characters narrating their individual character. It was just amazing listening and I would highly recommend you read this whole series but I have to say hands down so far this has to be my favourite audiobook

O.M.G Serena Akeroyd you are an amazing author I have just finished filthy secrets and I feel like my heart has been ripe out and then put back together to be ripe out again. I have laughed and boy have a cried and used lots of tissues.

The O’DONNELLY brothers are a force to be reckoned with but when it comes to there family and there other half’s there is nothing that will stop them from protect them with there life’s. But some off the secret that they have been keeping are about to come and bite them on the bum and when secret come out are there lives going to be the same or are those secrets going change everything they know and they love and hold dear to there hearts will the family survive

This book was an emotional rollercoaster of hurt , love , sacrifice and betrayal my heart broke for Finn and Aoife and everything that they have gone through and when Aoife feels like she is alone the other wife’s have her back I loved that. But O.M.G Conor I need to to give him a big hug and never let him go how is he going to cope with everything that has happened i love Conor.

I just need a minute.. This book. This series. This whole universe. It’s so meticulously thought out. I’m obsessed with the Five Points. I was 100% not looking forward to Finn admitting his betrayal. I really wasn’t. Finn and Aoife are every relationship goal I’ve ever had. The love and loyalty and protectiveness with them is next level. As someone who has dealt with child loss, this book resonated with me in a way. I understood everything Aoife felt. Literally everything. It’s like I was feeling those feelings all over again. That’s how well Serena wrote this story. I felt like I was there. A man like Finn doesn’t come around often, maybe ever. And the way she wrote him to love her so fiercely that he would do literally anything he could do to protect Aoife after her miscarriage even though it wasn’t exactly what Aoife wanted. *sigh* You just don’t see that in books a lot of them time, I don’t feel like. I’m obsessed with the O’Gradys. This story was so heartfelt and gut wrenchingly beautiful. I wanted to jump into the story and just hug her neck. And hug Finn so hard so he knew it was ok to grieve everything. I don’t fault Aoife for reacting to Finn’s betrayal the way she did. And DANG. All those secrets that came out. This book was really heavy but it was exactly what was needed. This book brought a lot of information out. It made me even more invested in this family than I was before. I CANNOT wait for the next book. I’m literally already thinking about it! Serena is one of the best authors I’ve had the pleasure of reading. Literally. She puts so much detail and thought into each book, each character, each page. This series, along with the Sinners, gets better with every single book. I can’t wait to reread Finn and Aoife and I can’t wait for all that’s to come! 1000% recommend this book. Read it. You won’t be sorry you did!

description

"Asking me to live without you is like asking someone to live without the sun. I can't do it."

Filthy Secret is Book 6 in the Five Points Mob collection, and this is a MUST if you've been following along with the series. While this book focuses heavily on Finn and Aoife, the whole family makes an appearance, because as deadly as these men of the Five Points are, nothing means more to them than the women they love and their family.

"You can doubt many things about me, you can doubt that I'm a good man, you can doubt that I deserve you, but you must never, even doubt how much I love you."

Serena Akeroyd continues to weave a series full of intrigue, suspense, and raw emotions as we get to know and love the men of the Five Points! While their church may have burned down, the O'Donnelly certainly have a lot to confess, and it all comes to a head about 60% of the way through. Though you can feel the love the family has for each other, there are so many lies and so much deceit that the character themselves are in for an awawkening. This book is so unique in that it intertwines all the plots from the previous books, provides answers, but also builds on and develops newer storylines. I read this book in one sitting, and I did not regret a single minute as it ties all the previous plots together to create a cohesive and fascinating larger story. The author did such a fantastic job at making the stories line up even through so many interconnecting subplots and duets, and making it as realistic as possible.

You are in for a treat with this book! There's romance and sweet moments between our favorite characters, violence and gore as the men avenge their family, and so much catharsis as the secrets are revealed! There's one more O'Donnelly brother left, and this books sets up the stage nicely for Conor's story. I almost feel as if this book was the climax of the series, and we're waiting to see the resolution. I can't wait to get Conor's book and to see how and if our Five Pointers bring down the Sparrows and the ECD!

"Long live the Filthy King, and let his star shine brighter than mine ever could."

This is narrated by Jacob Morgan & Emma Wilder
Featuring CJ Bloom, Jason Clarke, Teddy Hamilton, Joe Arden, Connor Crais, Samantha Cook, Muffy Newtown & Maxine Mitchell. It was so awesome to hear so many different voices and it truly brings this story to life! So awesome!!!

WOW!!! Holy smokes what an emotional ride, with secrets, betrayal, love, loyalty, so much steam, truth bombs, laughs and tears!!! Filthy Secret is not a stand alone book in this series. You must read (if you haven't already what in the world are you waiting for) the other 5 books in this series to understand what is happening. It is the must read book of the series! The interconnected universe of The Five Points and Dirty Sinners has to be one of the best written series I have read! I highly recommend reading this universe all together! It is absolutely AMAING! There are a few triggers so heed that warning.

Finn has always been my main Fecker and I have always felt for him with the secrets that he has been holding onto regarding Aoife. Oh Aoife and Finn how they went through the ringer in this book which continues their story from Filthy. I knew that I was going to be broken reading this book but I knew that Serena would put me back together and boy did she ever and then gave us an epic final chapter which leads to Filthy King and it is so going to be worth the wait.

Even though this is mainly about Finn and Aoife you get POVs from every O'Donnelly family member. There is something for everyone in this book and boy does it deliver. Over the course of the series there have been so many secrets and they all come out in this book! It was great to see the brothers finally put everything on the table and now that they are all in the know I can't wait to see what comes in Filthy King especially with the final pages of what Filthy Secret delivered! Oh.... and the steam, woah is it taken up in this bad boy!! Spicy!!!!

They way that Serena writes these characters (writes anything really!) it is absolutely impossible to not feel all the emotions of these characters. You are literally along for the ride and what a ride it is. I can't recommend this author enough or any of her books! I don't see how she puts out such amazing work so quickly but boy am I thankful that we never have to wait to long!

ok people!! what did I just read? I will tell you... definitely the best book I've read all year!! There are Six basic human emotions, they include sadness, happiness, fear, anger, surprise and disgust (not disgust for the book but the feeling of disgust when a character I love is wronged in a horrible way) this book took me through every single one! If you have read the other books in this series then you will know the main secret that Finn is talking about in the books description when he says his marriage is built on a secret and he is gonna come clean, I thought it was gonna be an amazing book simply from that one issue and how it would affect his marriage. Well, little did I know, it was SO MUCH MORE! There is so much in this book and I can't even say much about it because if I say anything it will be a spoiler and I don't want to spoil it. What I can say is that this family has gone through hell and back, people have been trying to rip them apart from all different directions and they ALL have a secret to tell that will leave you speechless, angry, anxious, or in tears. It rips you apart but it also puts you back together. I have loved the O'donnelly clan from the very first book, their love and strong sense of family ties warms my heart and fills it full for these so called heartless men, sure, they are mobsters, they have done bad things and they own it too... but to me, they aren't the villains because Serena has shown us with her phenomenal writing what the real monsters with no hearts are capable of doing and how these men that are supposed to be villains can actually be someones hero. I personally went through an entire box of tissues by the end and that finish was mind blowing!

Filthy Secret by Serena Akeroyd is part of her Five Points Mob Universe! It’s is not a standalone! So go and read the books that come before… you won’t be sorry!

The O’Donnelly family secrets have been building since book one, Filthy. Finn’s parentage and the circumstances behind the death of Aoife’s mother was highlighted in book Filthy, but as the series progressed other family secrets built up!

This book came at the secrets with a bang and all was revealed. At first the book lulled me into a false sense of security then page by page the tension built and my stomach flipped and flipped! I think for the most of the book my face was literally 😮

I felt every emotion! The love scenes were joyful and poignant… at one point I had tears streaming down my face and I didn’t even notice! I was so into the beauty of the words that nothing else mattered! 😭😭😭

We have met every family member and their partners in previous books so I assumed we had got to know every facet of their personalities, but no… in this book the author continued to evolve the characters and their relationships, we were presented with new angels to them which added another layer of substance. I appreciate the author for doing that.

The ending of this book made my heart race! I literally shouted ‘No Way!!!!’ And screeched!
It was a total OMG and EPIC moment… but then the whole book made my jaw drop! Honestly I felt battered after I finished it in the very best way!

The writing was *chefs kiss*. Serena’s instincts as a writer are spot on! I savour her books because they are so well thought out… each book carries on seamlessly from the last, each connected series slots together perfectly… Filthy Secret was no exception.

I love the universe that Serena has created! The Sinners, Five Points and Valentini’s all create a world that I can’t get enough of… long may it carry on!

I am completely stunned by this book. I mean, totally gobsmacked, stupefied, and in awe of this one. It took me 20 mini cupcakes, 5 tissue boxes, 4 chocolate chip cookies, 3 cuddling cats, and 2 bottles of port to get through 1 heck of a book. (Oh, my. That read like a bad holiday song.) The secrets that spill forth throughout this book sent ripples and showed how other ripples intersected with them. Aoife is the center point of this novel, but the secrets mentioned in the blurb are not hers alone, and the lies threaded through the families involved are brought to the surface. Many of them set their bearers free, while others were weighed down with the knowledge. Family dynamics flexed, broke, bent, shredded, strengthened, and were reborn. This book was intense yet Serena managed to drop in moments of laughter and levity while allowing us to read her incident report of the family's going-ons.

I have to say that this book must be read AFTER reading the others. Otherwise, nothing will make sense and you'll have to go back to read them anyways. This is the crux, the pivotal book that ties all the other books together. Do not read this and complain that the story was all over the place and made no sense because if you take the time to read the previous books THEN this one, everything will all come together. Trust me, please. This will also help when the next book, Filthy King, drops I have no doubt.

This book .. I'm honestly at a loss for words and feel like I need some time to process what I just read. I'm a fast reader, but for this book I forced myself to slow down and savor each word. I wanted this book to last forever and never end.

To say that I loved Filthy Secret is this years understatement. It sucked me in from the very first page and I think my Kindle was glued to my hand for 24 hours straight. This book also felt a bit different, I'm not sure why - maybe because I cried, swore and swooned my way through it. But it's like saying goodbye while at the same time welcoming a new beginning I think - the dawn of a new era.

All.The.Secrets.
This book shines a light in every dark corner, and the number of secrets in this one is baffling. Most of them we knew about, but still. Seeing them come to light in one place, while also learning about new betrayals and secrets kept my adrenaline going for sure. I honestly don't know how Serena kept track of them all, while at the same time writing a book that flows so easily and seamlessly.

I just loved everything about this book, but my absolute favorite is the text-strings between the brothers, and also the ones between the sisters-in-laws. Pure genius and they added something special to the story.

That ending though ....

This book will stay with me for a long time and I'll probably re-read it a thousand times while waiting for the next one.

Filthy Secrets is an apt title for this book by Serena Akeroyd. The only book that can not be read as a standalone in this series was an experience that ran the gamut of emotions for me.
I know for a fact that the author put all of her heart and soul into these books because they are never just about 2 characters and a supporting cast. No, all of her books weave storylines for multiple characters each with their very own plot lines, wants, needs, hearts, and souls. She finds a way to take the most dirty secrets and souls and make us cheer for them, cry for them, and ultimately love them.
This book touched on situations that I can relate to IRL and while tough to read at moments….. In validating Aofie…. She validated me. And really that is all any of us want to feel in life… to be seen. A running theme in this authors work is that she finds ways to make me feel not alone and that is why I reach for her books before most other authors.
Filthy Secrets sets us up for the next in the series and even the next in another world masterfully written Ms. Akeroyd. I CAN NOT wait for those but also needs time as a reader to absorb all of the nuggets of info dropped this time around. While I’ll be always waited with baited breath….This author can rest assured that I’ll be no matter how long it takes!

I’ve been trying to write this review for over 24 hours. It’s impossible to write something that fully encompasses the depth, breadth, and awesomeness of this story and all of its twists, turns, and characters. It’s even harder to write this without giving spoilers, because there are secrets, spoilers, and grief all over this book. It’s so hard to watch Aoife and Finn suffer, but it’s beautiful to watch them in this painful journey. It’s worth it to suffer along with them, and the rest of the family. I’m pretty sure every single Fecker and family member has secrets come to light in this book. It’s exhilarating and a wild ride that doesn’t stop. Seriously, there are no breaks or a chance to breathe till the last sentence that tells you when the story will be continued. I cried a lot through this book, as in an intense amount; however, the last twenty pages ripped me apart. I was surprised at my reaction, because of my distaste for certain characters - but it still broke me. This book is (obviously) all about secrets, but more so it’s about all the ways the families are tied together; how they love and hurt one another; and the never ending loyalty between them all. To say I’m on edge till Filthy King is an epic understatement. Im honestly convinced that this is my top read for 2021.

I'm going to tell you right now, she was not playing around with this one. She put my heart and emotions through the wringer! Finn and Aoife are one of my most favorite couples and seeing them in turmoil hurt my soul. We not only get to see them try and work these issues out but we also get to see so much more from all of the brothers. As in, A LOT freaking more! The secrets this family has would seriously make Pandora blush but the connection they share is worth every hard word that is said. Don't even get me started on the steam that comes off these couples because these are some of the HOTTEST times I have read before. There just aren't enough words to describe everything we learn with this book. Just be prepared to have your mind blown!

Filthy Secret was out of this world amazing! Serena Akeroyd does an amazing job of letting secrets spin themselves around each character in each book and then pulling the legs out from under us. I loved every word!

More than anything I loved that we received more insight from Aoife in this book and the result of the bomb dropped in the last book. She was strength and grace personified and I am obsessed more than ever! All in all...this was a solid addition to the Five Points Mob collection series. 4 stars! ~Ratula

Wow, Serena Akeroyd has really outdone herself with this book! I have to say that this is the best book she's written so far. There is so much that comes out in this story that I know I'll have to read it a second or third time to absorb it all.
The author left everything on the table and so much hung in the balance. Be prepared for anything when you read this book, have tissues, chocolate and your favorite beverage to help you get through. You won't be prepared for some of the secrets that are revealed and the ending is epic.
I don't want to get into particulars so that I don't give anything away, but this is a must read!

Aidiobook:
This audiobook was and outstanding listening experience. with the different narrator's and perspectives made for an absolute joy for the ears! Finn and Aoifes journey of learning to live after the secrets that he hid during the first part of their marriage is very emotional and how the secrets affected the rest of the family. once one Secret came out more were to follow this familyhas a ton.
Absolutely amazing!!!!

Pure perfection. This book is everything you expect from the Filthy Feckers of the Five Points Mob. This isn't so much one story as everyone's stories. You get chapters from all the characters' perspectives. This is much needed to start bringing all the threads together and to move the story towards a conclusion.

The main arc of the story belongs to Finn and Aiofe. You see the events mentioned in The Lady/The Don from Finn and Aiofe's perspective. It resolves all the cliffhangers that I was terrified to read for fear of a broken heart. But I'll just say, have faith in Serena's master plan. It all makes sense in context. Finn is still possessive and all consumed by his love for Aiofe. Aiofe is incredibly strong and empowered. I love how the couple draw strength from one another to overcome the saddest of circumstances. And their chemistry is still scorching heat and passion.

While we get Aiofe's take on events in Filthy Secret, we also get to see our beloved brothers and their partners throughout the story. The women are just incredible. They support each other and their men without weakening themselves and their own strong personalities. I love that Aela bickers and stands up to Declan, Cammie is just amazing in her partnership with Brennan, Jen appears frequently in all her prickly outspoken glory, Inessa is quiet in her support of Eoghan but she still comes across as critical to his sanity and Savannah has the makings of a fair and powerful Queen of the Irish Mob.

Filthy Secret is dark and gritty and, as always, pay attention to the trigger warnings as this covers some really sad and traumatic circumstances. You see the emotional fall out of abuse, violence, grief and trauma. But it is all done with such Fecker care and attention. This book doesn't work as a standalone. You need the context of all the characters to understand the impact of the events in the story.

5 stars of kick ass Fecker brilliance

Oh wow, this was seriously amazing I inhaled every word and was completely transfixed by the unfolding drama. This cannot be read as a stand-alone rather it’s one that fills in all the blanks and blows wide open all of the many secrets and withheld truths that have been accumulating throughout the course of this series. Here we get all of that explosive fallout and it was an epic journey filled full of gripping emotional turmoil twists turns and shocking reveals. It’s told from multiple POVs and was a rollercoaster of massive proportions a saga of secrets that seemed to slowly topple as everything just imploded.

I felt so many emotions throughout this and this definitely didn’t hold back on its punches. There was nothing easy here and I felt every single one of the raw emotional hits right alongside the characters themselves. Nothing will ever be the same for the Donnelly clan and the numerous reveals and years of withheld truths just kept on coming it was such a tangled web of intrigue that had been years in the making.

I’m keeping things vague as I don’t want to unintentionally spoil anything but take my word for it this delivers in every single way and is a definite must read. I wasn’t expecting it to be so good if I’m honest and my expectations were seriously surpassed that’s for sure. The writing is fantastic and I was pulled in almost instantly it’s actually a large book and I was never once bored reading this in one sitting. In fact, I’m still digesting everything I learned and now I can’t wait for the final two books. I definitely recommend this series it’s up there with my all-time favourites.

Holy cannoli, Serena Akeroyd seems incapable of writing anything less than perfection. Filthy Secret is no different. This book is part of the Five Points series (which crosses over with the Sinners MC series) and must be read in order. Not only is the author a literary genius with beautiful flawless writing, but the sheer number of secrets and interconnected storylines is staggering. How she manages to keep each storyline correct when there are so many moving parts is pure genius. This book is filled with secrets and so many things come to light that the whole book has your mind blown. I loved seeing the various POVs, and seeing each person’s reaction as different truths came to light. This was Aeofe’s story at the core, but it involved literally everyone in the family. Aeofe and Finn…. My heart broke for both of them. Secrets have eaten away at Finn for years, and as they usually do, they eventually came to light. They both suffered immensely. so many times I wanted to hug them both. Honestly, I usually cover more of the storyline in my reviews, but there were so many moving parts in this book that I could not do it justice nor would it make sense without reading it yourself. Serena Akeroyd is a master, though, in that’s so many things are happening, yet the storyline remains cohesive and never confusing. Often times it seems authors struggle with keeping so many various storylines straight, or having so many things happening seems confusing. That is not so here. I’m still emotionally spent after this book, yet I can’t wait to see what happens next in this world. Thank you for bringing this amazing world to us, and sharing a piece of your heart and genius with us!

Serena Akeroyd is an absolute genius story teller, this book is absolutely amazing, heartbreaking, uplifting. How she can make a reader feel like they are ingrained in these characters and their relationships with one another is incredible. Filthy Secret is the 6th installment of the Filthy Feckers series, and Hell’s Kitchen somehow got even more insane. I loved that we got all of our beloved characters POV throughout the novel, the story unfolds and we see everyone’s actions and reactions. I love how the women came together despite their different personalities and backgrounds, the next generation of the Five Points won’t just be the feckers, but their strong queens will reign with them and that is clear throughout the book. I can’t wait to see what she throws at us next and the ride just keeps getting better and better! This series connects with Dark and Dirty Sinners MC series and it is an amazing, crazy, heartbreaking story, full of love, strong relationships and a rollercoaster that constantly changes, and evolves.
