There’s no escaping a curse . . .

The last thing I expect is for my aunt to kidnap, then abandon me. I’m desperate for answers, especially as to the condition of Lochlan D’angelo, my stalker turned protector.

Problem is, I’m still shaken over learning his true identity. I question everything he ever told me, including the realness of the supposed bond between us.

Stuck at a supernatural school in the middle of nowhere, I’m forced to make a decision: stay at the academy where it’s safe, or help the vampires break their curse.

But as a dark foretelling arises and mysteries about my past unfold, all I want to do is escape.

CURSE TOUCHED is the pulse-pounding second installment in a steamy upper YA/NA paranormal vampire romance series. If you like fated mates and forbidden romance, heartrending twists, a tough heroine, and a sexy antihero, this book is for you.

This was SUCH a good book! It was just as good as the first! The writing was steady-paced. The secondary character's shined bright in this one too. I wish the third book was already out as I write this review because the cliffhanger was REAL.

Kenna has been dealt such a bad hand through no fault of her own. I loved her bond with Lochlan. One thing I disliked about Kenna though was that she seemed to get control over her magic in the span of a few hours and it felt forced. I also hated that her so-called Aunt Tess is still part of this story. I want her happy ending to be a ditch. Before you ask, yes her ending up like that would make me very happy.

Lochlan was a great guy all around! He was so sweet and caring with Kenna and the people he chooses to surround himself with. He was also willing to end the world as we know it to keep Kenna safe. So he's a total keeper in my book. Kade was also a great comic relief of this story and he provided a bit of background on Loch.

The ending was still mean considering it ended on another cliffhanger. This one didn't feel like a natural stopping point like the first one did. Then again, maybe that's just me projecting how angry and anxious that ending made me. I'll be eagerly awaiting the release of the next novel!

*Squeal* This was so good!!!!

The storyline continues to build! It is such and exciting concept and Kenna is starting to come into her true power which will be epic I am certain. Kenna finds herself at a witch school (against her will). She tries to find the bright side, which is she will be learning a part of herself that has been hidden. However, not all of the students/staff are welcoming to a syphon....well actually no one is. We begin to see a bond between Kenna and Clarice Mayweather (basically headmaster). Clarice seems to have Kenna's best interest at heart, yet in the end.....I am not so sure. Clarice true intentions have yet to be revealed.

Loch finally pushes Kenna to except who she is to him. Kenna realizes she can control her powers and finally gets to feel his true touch. It. Is. Spectacular. The romantic aspect of the series just to a HUGE step toward awesome!!

Another cliff hanger....another looooooooooong wait for this reader! I need answers now!!

Happy reading,
DD 💕

One of my favorite moments in the book writing process is finally reading through the story without feeling the need to **edit** every little thing. Being able to enjoy the book as a reader instead of an author is so satisfying!

I absolutely loved this book and am in dire need of book 3, immediately!!

What's not to love? Hot vampires, strong female MC that feels cursed by her given powers, but has to use those powers to break a curse over the vampire race.

Even though it ended on a cliffhanger; at least its after an amazing moment.

I did figure out who was lurking in the darkness trying to sabotage Kenna early on, but it definitely didn't make hurt any less.

The storyline kept me compelled and eager for more as did the addition of the new characters. The King is quite intriguing and I hope he turns out to be quite the formidable ally!

So at first, I thought I wasn't going to like this book. The beginning was slow and a bit boring and I was not enjoying the academia thing I thought I was going to have to suffer through this book. But thankfully that school thing didn't last long and we were able to get our two love birds back together.

I loved the pace with the romance progression and thought it was perfectly done to keep us interested without rushing into it. The way it was done felt natural.

There is a cliffhanger at the end of this book too of course, but again done in a way that makes me excited for the next book but not losing my mind. I think the next book is really going to be interesting but I hope our MC's don't have to spend too much time apart.

This book enters the Olympus of Best Sequels Ever. I want to cry because it’s over!

Curse Touched is that kind of book in a series that completely blows your mind, the one that makes you say, “This one is my favorite, no doubt.” It took the already incredible Shadow Touched by the hand and somehow made it more. The twists, the characters, the romance…Perfect!

The world expands once we meet the witches and more vampires, and we’re introduced to some amazing new characters. It’s difficult to choose a favorite. An obvious choice would be Noah, but I do admit I’m very intrigued by the whole vampire cast. It’s November, and here they are making me sweat like a sinner in church! Most of the fault lies with Lochlan. His intensity multiplied tenfold since book 1, so much so that not even my sweetheart love Kade could distract me. (If you read my review of Shadow Touched, you’ll see this is no laughing matter. I proclaimed my undying love for Kade in that review!)

This leads me to the romance, which was everything I could ever dream of and more! We got so much more angst, and steamy moments that have you screaming because you need them to touch, and also more deep, meaningful ones that bring Kenna and Lochlan closer. I love how they bring out each other’s strengths and vulnerabilities. I love how deep their connection is and how protective they are. I love it when they say “mine”, because I feel the passion deep in my soul. They’ve become one of my favorite ships, and Lochlan climbed the ranks of my book boyfriend list. He’s VERY high on my list. (That doesn’t mean I don’t love you Kade!)

So to summarize: A Touch of Vampire is a series that gets more intense with each book, with a story that is so exquisitely romantic that you will be begging for more.

(Oh and that ending…I may have cursed at 8 a.m.)

I don’t even know where to begin with this book other than to say I abso-freaking-lutely loved every single word of it. Curse Touched is just as great as its predecessor Shadow Touched, if not better. Becky Moynihan blends the supernatural world with elements of mystery and paranormal romance in the best of ways, each word bringing the story alive until it grabs a hold and doesn’t let go. Believe me, I know, because I spent most of the night reading it instead of sleeping. But who needs sleep anyway, right?

Curse Touched picks up where Shadow Touched left off and doesn’t slow down one bit. New characters are introduced—some are awesome (Noah!), some I wanted to slap, and some are up to no good. I can’t wait to discover how it all plays out as the series progresses. In this book, Kenna finds herself in a situation where the rules aren’t clear. Is she a prisoner or is she not? Are the people here friends or foes? Will see find any of the answers she seeks? Will she find her way back to Lochlan, and just what exactly are they to one another? Will she ever be safe?

This book was perfectly paced with just the right amount of tension, mystery, life-altering revelations, and mix of sweetness and steaminess in the romance department. And with that cliffhanger ending—ahhh!—I can’t wait to get my hands on book three.

“For 30 years, my brothers and I terrorised witches, demanding they give up the location of all known Syphons. We killed any we could find, showing no mercy. We became known far and wide as the Demonic Trinity and we revelled in their fear at the very sight of us. Until the day they rallied together and cursed our entire race. We’ve been trying and failing to undo the mistakes we made ever since.” - Lochlan

In Shadow Touched, Kenna’s tentative bond with Lochlan suffered a setback when Isla was abducted by his brother, Everett who was bent on handing her over to their father, King Ambrose. During the chaotic standoff that ensued and Aunt Tess’ unexpected intervention, Lochlan was wounded and Kenna found herself held against her will at Thorncrest Academy, a magical school for juvenile delinquents under the guardianship of its headmistress, Clarice Mayweather.

Still reeling over Lochlan’s true identity, Kenna finds herself taking a leap of faith and cooperating with Clarice who promises to help her understand her powers. While the other students are hostile and regard her with suspicion, Kenna finds an ally in Isla’s brother Noah, who happens to be an instructor there.

Torn between staying within the safe confines of the Academy and helping Lochlan break the curse, Kenna reconsiders when she suspects Clarice of duplicity. When Isla once again finds herself in mortal danger, Kenna and Noah race to save her resulting in dire consequences…

Curse Touched is the second explosive instalment of the compelling Touch of Vampire series which picks up shortly after the events of Shadow Touched. In contrast to the previous book, I was delighted to see that the author had chosen to include Lochlans’s perspective in addition to Kenna’s. This gave readers valuable insight into his character as well as his relationship with Kenna and his brothers. Kenna and Lochlan’s character growth throughout - particularly as their bond deepens made for phenomenal reading.

As the plot expands and new characters enter the fray, additional details about Lochlan’s past and the curse placed on him and his brothers emerge. Noah, Clarice as well as Lochlan’s father and siblings are welcome additions that add depth to the plot.

All in all, I felt that this was a worthy continuation with an eclectic mix of personalities that are easy to visualise. A whopping cliffhanger has endured that this reader will be eagerly reading the follow-up.

Ideal for fans of Upper YA/NA readers due to mature content, paranormal romance, enemies to lovers, fated mates, vampires, werewolves, siphons, secrets, prophecies, curses, strong heroines, mystery etc

All Vampire Diaries jokes aside, Curse Touched has big Aelin and Rowan vibes. Even though SJM has made me hate the word mate. I like solemae so much more.

Curse Touched picks up almost immediately after the end of Shadow Touched. We are still unsure of everyone's fates going in. Kenna finds herself at an academy for the supernatural with no word from her aunt or friends. A lot of new secrets and betrayals arise. Kenna learns more about her siphon abilities. We meet some new characters. I lost a night of sleep. It's a whole vibe. Curse Touched wasn't exactly what I thought it was going to be. It's so much better. And just as addicting as ever. I need book 3 immediately.

***Thank you so much to Becky Moynihan for allowing me to read an early copy.***

Wow. This one picks up right where the first ends, and it certainly doesn’t slow down. New characters are introduced adding to the story, and we learn more about witches in general. This still leaves me with so many questions: How do they break the curse? Who is the real enemy? Who can you actually trust?

Curse Touched was absolutely amazing, just like the first one. I’m excited to see where book three takes this adventure.

This one has a cliffhanger at the end (again), but it isn’t *quite* as bad as the first book. Don’t get me wrong I’m still dying to know what happened, but I’m not mad about it this time!

Oh my gosh this book couldn’t get any better! All the feels sent my emotions through the roof! I never knew I could have such strong emotions and desires for these characters! I couldn’t put the book down! I’m completely obsessed with the chemistry between Loch and Kenna! Holy Fates, it’s off the Chain! Steamy ✔️, angsty ✔️, swoon worthy ✔️✔️✔️
Now there’s only a few more questions brewing in the air… unfortunately and yet fortunately I’ll have to wait for book 3! Unfortunately bc I don’t like to wait but fortunately bc I have something to look forward to.

Upping the Stakes

Curse Touched is the second book in Becky Moynihan's A Touch of Vampire trilogy. In this book we get to see the POVs of both main characters, Kenna and Lochlan, which was a nice stylistic change from book one.

Finally, answers. This book answers many questions about Kenna and her mysterious abilities, filling in the puzzle pieces of where she fits into the supernatural world. This fixed my biggest gripe with book one, where I was frustrated to not be "in the know" since most everyone around Kenna were keeping secrets from her.

We see Kenna gain more control over her magic and progress her relationship. It does start out seeming YA before venturing straight to NA territory, just like the first book.

This book was a page-turner for me, but that cliffhanger should be illegal! Definitely excited to read the finale!

I received an ARC and all opinions are my own.

I... I can't even deal right now...

*deep breath*

I absolutely adored the first book in this series. The sequel just BLEW MY FRICKEN MIND. I lost sleep over this book, staying up late to devour every last page. And nearly broke my kindle spam clicking the page turner BECAUSE I NEEDED MORE AND IT WAS FINISHED AND I CAN'T DEAL.

Calming breaths obviously did not help... I am totally spiralling out of control...

The action and heat and twists and all of the things in this sequel are utter perfection. Could not for the life of me put this book down.

I need the next one STAT.

FATES, I’M LOVING THIS TRILOGY!!!

This book definitely does NOT suffer from second book syndrome!!! It’s non-stop craziness for Kenna and Lochlan, and non-stop yummy romance & steam for them too!! I love Loch and Kenna so much!!

The plot flows perfectly and the descriptions of the academy and the castle are so well written and easy to visualize. The characters are really well written, even the side characters you love and the ones you hate. Kade and Isla are my two favorite side characters, being the best friends of Loch and Kenna.

This is definitely a book that is ridiculously hard to put down. I’m just sad the third book isn’t out yet, but at least it will be released in a few months. Makes me want to reread the first two before the last one comes out! I highly recommend this YA Paranormal Romance, with so much going on!! There are Witches, Werewolves, Royal Vampires and Rogue vampires, and so much more!! The question is who can truly be trusted??

If you read the first book, you may remember all the reveals and the massive cliffhanger at the end of the story. This book starts with Lochlan still recovering from his fatal wound and in the care of his brothers. Kade may have some news. He only cares about finding McKenna.

Then the book jumps to Kenna. Kenna is at some sort of facility, but she has had a lot of truths thrown at her; however, they may not all be correct. I do not envy her inability to touch her lover. She does know she is the Syphon witch, and she is cursed and supposed to fulfill a prophecy; however, that's doesn't change how she feels about Lochlan. She has no idea if he is dead or alive. She finds out she is at a school for supernaturals. Thornecrest Academy is a school for people like her giving her the ability to belong and be normal, not an outsider or defective, or so she thought. However, the vampires are close by, and who is Noah? Apparently, he is Isla's brother. I think I may need to read that book again as I wasn't paying much attention to her. Oh, the school houses more than we thought.

This book gets more complicated as it goes but still just as enthralling. This book also gets steamy, and Yay, we get more of Lochlan and Kenna. We also get to know more about Lochlans' brothers. Oh, trouble seems to be her middle name in this book as she ventures to new places. Okay, every passage of this text makes me love this story even more. Maybe it is the forbidden love or the magical powers or even the fated mates. But I can't wait to see how this ends. The sweet use of the word soulmate had me swooning. Okay, this book ends with a super-steamy scene and a massive cliffhanger, so be prepared to desire the next book in this series.

Start to finish this book is page-turning; you won't want to put it down. So many questions, so many emotions, and so much resting on one person. McKenna is a force to be reckoned with; she is so strong, determined, and loves with all her heart. I love Lochlans character going from someone you are not sure about to the one person you are rooting for at the end. Kade is an excellent relief in the story; he brings an interesting outlook and some comedic relief. This vampire romance is a fantastic read you won't regret, and omg, I can't wait for book 3 in this series. I want to know what happens to Noah and Isla. This story is terrific; the characters are all intriguing. The author did a fantastic job weaving this tale together to keep you spellbound for the entire series.

This book does hold some similarities to some of my favorite paranormal romance reads. I love the enemies to lovers theme with two types of paranormals breaking all the rules and loving each other even with the forbidden mentalities. I'm also spellbound by the witch and vampire inter-species soul mates or fated mates in the story and, of course, all the magic and supernatural aspects that leave you guessing what will happen next. The curse and the prophecy and all the action and adventure they must overcome to live happily ever after. This book has all the ingredients for a fantastic storyline, and the author is producing it flawlessly. I was surprised, captivated, and enjoyed every page in this read.

I was so excited to get my hands on Curse Touched after finishing Shadow Touched in one sitting. Curse Touched picked up right where the first book ended and we finally got POV of Lochlan! I love when I get to get into the mind of the main characters love interest.

Curse Touched follows Kenna after the attack with her and her friends at the end of book 1. She has been taken to the school of witches where she meets the head mistress and Isla's brother, Noah. She is basically a prisoner there while she tries to learn about herself, what the head mistress wants from her and how she can get out to get back to Lochlan.

The entire book follows Kenna while she tries to understand her powers, work with everyone to try and break the curse but also get closer to Lochlan. I loved the little snippets into his mind, it was so refreshing to read about his past because as a reader, you are able to piece together more information that you would not get from Kenna. I loved how their bond got stronger and their love grew over the book.

The ending though! Curse Becky Moynihan for her cliffhanger endings! She knows what she is doing too with those author notes right at the end! I really enjoy this series though. I cannot wait to read book 3 but now I must wait probably over a year! :(

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

In order to read the second book in the series I went ahead and re-read the first book. As soon as I started I remember just how good these stories were.
As I started the 2nd book I was pulled right back into the world. The characters are still just as relatable although I have to admit that I do believe Kayde has quickly become my favourite. I am truly hoping that he gets his own book sooner rather than later.
It only took me two nights to get through these books. The second book read just as quickly as the first. The plot had numerous twists and turns but not so much that you could not understand and follow along easily.
As for the ending well what can I say it was a true cliff hanger. I cannot wait for the next book to come out so that I can enjoy it also. Thank you to the author for giving me a chance to read and review this awesome series.
I highly recommend it for a easy, enjoyable read with its own share of adult content.

I was given the absolute honor of ARC reading both Shadow Touched and Curse Touched. Book 2 met and exceeded all of my expectations. I love the dynamic between McKenna and Lochlan. They show real struggles of learning to trust and be open with one another. Their relationship is very steamy, and I have loved watching them grow closer. There were so many things finally revealed in this book, but it also left more questions unanswered. I loved meeting some new characters, especially Noah. Kenna had some really good character development, especially as she accepted who she was. Lochlan, however, I felt grew the most. I loved reading from his point of view here and there, and seeing him open up and allow himself to be vulnerable. And truly, I adore him. With the cliffhanger at the end, it will leave you wanting more. I can't wait for book three!

Loved the second book in the series! I’ve been anticipating this book since finishing its predecessor, and it did not disappoint!
I enjoyed getting to see Lochlan’s softer side in this one. The way he feels about Kenna is just swoon worthy.
I also loved getting a better peek into the dynamic of the three brothers and why each one acts the way they do. And Lochlan’s past—heartbreaking. But I had so many questions at the end of book one when it came to him, this book thankfully answered many. And meeting new characters, obviously many of them were terrible—ahem, looking at you, Headmistress Mayweather—but I loved Noah. I’m hoping he’ll make more of an appearance in the next book!
Oh, and can we talk about that cliffhanger ending??

I am absolutely loving this series so far!!
Curse Touched is the second book in the Touch of Vampire Series, picking up right where book one, Shadow Touched, left off.
In this book we get to learn a little more about witches, Kenna is given the opportunity to discover more about her abilities as a Syphon, and Lochlan finally opens up to Kenna about his past!
This book definitely kept me on my toes the whole way through, never knowing who to trust or what to expect! There’s still so many questions left unanswered though, and a cliffhanger ending that’s got my heart rate spiking all over again just thinking about it!! I can’t wait to find out what’ll happen next in book three!!

Dear Becky,

How. Rude.

But also, *chef’s Kiss!*

This was such a great sequel. Sequels always worry me because you know, middle book syndrome and all that jazz. This book did not disappoint in the slightest. The steam y’all!! I can’t deal! Loch is so tortured and broken and perfect. What a little marshmallow. Ok no. 😆😆 I just want to protect his beautiful soul. Like come on!

I need the next one. Right now. Make it happen Becky.

I really liked that in this book Kenna is able to learn more about herself and her history and because of that gained some confidence in herself. Loch…what can I say other than I’d share a bond with him any day 😉
And Kade I just love him and his personality! We all need a friend like him!! I really am excited for the next book and to see where this story goes from here!!
