Married to the same man for over 25 years, I am a mother to three children and two Miniature Wiener dogs.
After owning a business and experiencing considerable success, my husband and I got caught in the financial crisis and lost everything in 2008; our business, our home, even our car.
At this point, I put my B.A. in Poly Sci to use and took work as a waitress and bartender (Insert irony). Unwilling to give up on a professional life, I simultaneously went back to college and obtained a degree in Energy Management.
And then the energy market dropped off.
And then my dog died.
I can only be grateful for this series of unfortunate events, for, with nothing to lose and completely demoralized, I sat down and began to write the romance novels which had until then, existed only my imagination. After publishing over twenty novels now, with one having been nominated for RWA’s Distinguished ™RITA Award in 2019, I am happy to tell you that I have finally found my place in life.
Thank you so much for being a part of my journey!

Since her lifelong engagement was broken Miss Victoria Shipley has thrown herself into her work as assistant headmistress of a girls’ school. She maintains her focus on being all that is proper and has all but forgotten her former hopes of having a family of her own.
Piers Primm, Earl of Rosewood, has been determined he won’t marry until after his irascible, controlling father’s death and has avoided his family home for the past several years. But with his mother ailing, he knows he must return, only to be stranded by a serious injury and a snowstorm at his sister’s school, the very school where Victoria teaches. Snowed in together over the Christmas holiday, Victoria and Piers find they have a lot to learn from each other.
I don’t know many romance readers who can resist a snowed in at Christmas story and I am certainly not one of them. This is the perfect forced proximity situation, especially when you add in Piers’ injuries and need for care from Victoria. Though these two spent fairly little time together before developing feelings, the circumstances which brought and kept them together made their love very believable and caused them to get to know one another on a deeper level than they otherwise would have. I will say, Victoria frustrated me a bit with just how starched and uptight she was, but she also found these traits to be frustrating in herself and worked to learn more practical skills. I really enjoyed the fact that Piers brought out the person Victoria really was, outside the prim mold she’d forced herself into, and she helped him face some things he’d been avoiding about himself and his family and overcome them to create a brighter future. The steam here was pretty excellent and the pacing of it felt natural to the setting. I’ve never read anything quite like this and I really enjoyed the practicality and openness of the communications between these two MCs. I liked the fast pacing of this story and I’ll likely continue this series.
If only we all had the opportunity of having a stranded, handsome rake of an Earl, fall at our feet a few days before Christmas. One who can cook, wash and treat us to a few seasonal extras. One can only dream.
Annabelle is a master at waving her pen and creating a beautiful and steamy romance, one that will take your breath away quicker that a force 10 Gale on a -10 evening. I just love this story, it’s a beautiful one, of two people who need a direction and find each other. Excellent reading

Will her being the perfect lady keep them apart …
Like the title lets slip, it is a tale of learning and maturing. Victoria might be a teacher but there are so many things she does not know or is unable to perform. For years, she had been certain of the rightness of her path, she is not condescending but she has been breed and raised this way, so to acknowledge everything she thought is not the only road for a woman of her class, it is quite a turnover and unsettling for Miss prim and proper. It will take her to be stranded at first alone to realize how ill-equipped she is to face the harshness of life without the security of others to shield from the difficulties and household cores. It is eyes opening for her to see of how untaught she is, as even the man she shelter from the storm, a lord, knows more than her. Yet this experience is the adventure of her life as she will learn more about herself than she had ever dreamed. Piers is a man who follows the wind, going when and where he wants, having washed his hands of his domineering father and his demands. Even if it costed him his family. He is so sure he is better alone. He is a kind and caring man in his own way, but in rejecting his roots, he believes he can’t stay in one place for long, he must be the antithesis of his sire. So while Victoria is much more than the sum of she does or does not know, she is too perfect for him, the ideal woman in his parents view, so not for him.
So here are two people everything oppose, she has no one, he could have a family, she has been sheltered while he has seen the world, she is uptight when he is wild, yet in their own way, they are the other’s answer. He might free her from her shackles when she teaches him family is not a bad crowd. A lovely moving tale of a woman who, despite her lacking, had more to offer even her sacrifice if he is willing to really see her. 5 stars

I have been granted an advance copy by the author, here is my true and unbiased opinion.
I really enjoyed reading this story. Loved Piers and Victoria, the main characters. Good storyline too. It's so great to get an epilogue, but even better to get a bonus epilogue too. 5☆
I particularly would not mind having to sew up a wounded, very handsome gentleman. Just kidding, I would mind. In fact, my mind would not even be in the same vicinity because I would have passed out by the first drop of blood I got.
Piers and Victoria were incredibly well matched. Their banter was fun and the story has a Christmasy feel to it (I went to that unaware lol).

The Good Place: ▫️Them meeting for the first time; him lacking “basic manners” and breaking a window was amusing. Apparently the hero could not function in the cold. And Victoria calling him an idiot for doing all of that! Of course, that doesn’t beat the guy passing out in front of her the moment he can lol. ▫️Piers was the romantic hero of the clueless. If surfing was a thing back then, he would have been a surfer dude. The go with the flow kind of guy. He swayed into love into this type of fashion. ▫️Victoria was amazing too! She was always up to the task of finding out about things even if she was not very versatile at first. ▫️the fact that Piers had no idea what a buffoon was, even when he was the living rendition of one when they first meet haha. ▫️The hero thinking she was an Angel when he first saw her and then changing his mind after they talk. ▫️Dead Miss Shipley ▫️the freaking goat 😂 (marital saints wish they had that much power). ▫️Priscilla! She was a real friend. ▫️When the hero could cook and was willing to teach the heroine. That is already rhapsody in real life, but in that time period? Swoon. ▫️Lord and Lady Kingsley… I can’t blame them for what happened but I did enjoy that they were graceful to Victoria. ▫️John the coachman. He was there for 5 seconds but it was more than enough to touch my heart. ▫️The sleigh! ▫️Piers teaching her the domestic arts-all of them lol. ▫️Bonus points for half those domestic arts being taught in Primm’s bed. 🫢 ▫️ Her throwing up all over the place and the hero not caring about anything but the discomfort it was causing her.
The Bad Place: ▪️Their arrival at Christmas morning. ▪️Ngl even after Piers made his feelings clear to Prim for her to still deny him and her friend was a kick in the gut. It is clear Prim likes Deliah more than Victoria. That made me sad because Victoria really liked Prim but the other woman didnt see to match the emotion when it mattered. 🙃 ▪️The father. He was barely there and I was already tired of the man.

Some ( Very Random) Moments of Notice Along With (Sometimes) My Very Live Reactions Straight From My Notes App to You:
📌 “She was the person who kept the waters calm. It was part of why Primm trusted her so implicitly. And already, this… buffoon had caused her to lose far too much of her composure.”
Great. And we are just beginning 🙏🏻.
📌“Because he needed her? She wouldn’t be enough. He needed his brothers—he needed to make peace with his parents. The marquessate was his legacy. He would one day be Starbridge. “They are your family,” she reminded him. “The cornerstone of your existence.” Victoria, more than anyone, knew what it felt like to live without that. “Your mother is frail.” “Don’t.” His arms tightened around her and he buried his face in her neck. “If I’m going to marry anyone, it’s going to be you. We decided—you and I.”
Sometimes I get mad at the heroines for their lack of thinking but when Victoria left I think it truly proved her devotion to him. She wasn’t doing it because she was afraid, she was doing it because she loved him and even if the situation was complicated she had to choose the thing that was right even if it was painful…
📌 ““May I help?” “I’ve got it.” He moved to use his injured arm. “No. You mustn’t!” She crossed over and went to take the pin from his hand. “I’d rather not sew you up a second time. I’ve seen enough blood to last a lifetime.” But he didn’t relinquish the pin. “Do you know how to use it?” He cocked a questioning brow. Victoria stared down at the flattened dough. It couldn’t be that difficult, could it? “You don’t, do you?” He made a disapproving sound. “Did you cluck your tongue at me?” She squinted over her shoulder at him.”
He is just so full of it 🙄. But I can appreciate that haha.
📌“And she had nobody. No parents. No siblings. No aunts. No children of her own, and most notably, no husband. Which was fine. That was just as it should be.”
It would have been fine… if you weren’t clearly almost crying about it my dear Victoria
📌“Piers ought to have considered that she might charge him. Why wouldn’t she? It was that sort of day, after all. And with the closed door at his back, Piers had nowhere to go. “I said I take it back.” Piers’s life flashed before his eyes the moment before impact. At the last second, he attempted to step to the side, but the goat caught him anyway. And although Gertrude’s horn merely clipped his groin, Piers bent over in gut-wrenching, unthinkable, earth-shattering pain. “You bloody cock-sucker,” Piers growled. But the animal, having accomplished what it wanted, sashayed back into the stall with Artemisia and then made herself comfortable in the hay on the floor. Leaving Piers clutching his manhood and barely able to move. After a few shallow breaths, he hobbled over and closed the gate behind the little beast. His horse flicked her mane, showing no sympathy whatsoever. “Happy Christmas to you too,” he mumbled.”
BHAHAHA not only did this goat destroy the school, by extension ensuring that Piers and Victoria got together, she also let him know what’s up 🤣. You go Gertrude
📌“Lord Kingsley hadn’t broken her heart. He had broken something less tangible. He’d shattered her faith in… life. The faith that had begun crumbling the day Margaret passed away after her horrible illness. Victoria had loved her older sister more than anyone else in the world. She’d been the first person Victoria ran to when she was happy, when she was sad, when she’d succeeded, and when she’d failed.”
I know Lord Kingsley is a very nice man, but I kind of want to lock him in a closet and let him think about what he has done.
📌“Was this what he’d meant by offering to teach her something other than cooking? Laundry? And although she was still distracted by the expanse of skin he was showing, she had to admit that such a skill would come in handy after he left.”
I never thought doing the laundry could be hot, yet here we are.
📌“Furthermore, she’d been pouring out her feelings to him, and all he could do was chastise her about where she set the linen.”
Married couple material
📌“I don’t need time. I won’t have regrets.” Well, she might. But with her body screaming for his, she didn’t care. “I’ll regret it more if we don’t.” It was something no lady should ever admit. But she didn’t care. He dropped a kiss on the edge of her jaw. “I’ll take that into consideration.” And then he released her, leaving her cold and aching and pressed against the wall. Alone.”
What a freaking teaseeee
📌“As Victoria stared at the ceiling, the thought occurred to her that not only was she breaking every rule she’d ever known, but she was doing it in Primm’s chamber. In Primm’s bed. Would she ever be able to look her friend in the eyes again?”
Miss Prim and Proper getting it on with brother on his sister’s bed- whom is also her employer.
WILD.
📌“I want to marry you,” she said. “Do you really love me? As in, love me romantically? Or do you love me more in the general sense? Because—” “God.” His mouth landed on hers. His taste. It was home. It was better than eating her favorite meal, sipping her favorite wine, and a good night’s sleep all rolled into one. He released her mouth as abruptly as he’d taken it. “I’m in love with you, damnit,” He shook his head. “And I love you. Is there a difference?” There was.”
This was a good one. Things happened and there was some dramatic angsty moments but it turned out well. Also, we see the half brother from the first book reappear as well as the roll right into the third book in the series.
I am really enjoying this series. In this installment, Victoria Shipley, decorum teacher, is spending Christmas alone at Miss Primm’s school. The students and other teachers are gone for the holidays and Miss Primm herself has been urgently called home because her mother is ill.
Victoria quickly learns, to her chagrin, that she is almost entirely helpless in providing for her own basic needs. She has never cooked a meal, started a fire, cleaned a hearth…
Piers Primm, who is Miss Primm’s brother and also Lord Rosewood, arrives on a dark and stormy night, cold, injured, and banging on doors. Of course this scares Victoria, but when she sees the state he’s in, and realizes who he is, she tries to help him. She stitches up his cut arm, nurses him through an infection and fever, and worries that being alone with a man has compromised her.
I won’t give away more of the story, but just say that I enjoyed it very much. It’s not clean (usual for Anders), so don’t read this if that’s what you’re after. (It’s not OTT either). Victoria and Piers are wonderful characters and I hope to see more of them in future installments. The next book is also set up at the end, and February is too far away!
Educated by The Earl, by Annabelle Anders. Excellent work on this book. I enjoyed everything that Piers and Victoria offered me in their breathtaking romance. I found myself all in for a wonderful love story from the beginning. The story plot was very believable and well written. The plot, I believe made everything about the book have such realism about it. The details and the description of the details provided great visuals for me while reading the book. This made reading the book easy to read and get lost in the romantic love story between two people that entails a number of hot nights in a school mistress quarters. I absolutely loved reading the dialogue and or the conversations between Piers and Victoria. It all seemed so real. These scenes I thought were the best. I loved everything about this love story. This is another great story written by an author who always knows what to give her readers. Until next time my fellow readers… read on!
This is a great follow up to the first book in the series. It takes place around Christmas while the children are on leave from Miss Primm’s school. The very proper etiquette teacher, Miss Victoria Shipley, has been left to fend for herself as Miss Primm leaves the school to travel and check on her sick Mother. Her very improper rakish brother Piers Primm, the Earl of Rosewood, breaks in after being thrown from his horse on his way to the school. He is hurt further from breaking a window to gain access to the school. Victoria allows him inside after finding out who he is, nurses him back to health and they spend Christmas together, alone. It’s a story about life skills, etiquette, animal antics, familial duty, loss, survival, but most importantly love. An enjoyable way to escape from reality and the lead into the next book sounds exciting. An ARC copy was provided in exchange for an honest review.
As usual Ms Anders gives us a wonderful story of love discovery. Victoria and Piers discover much about the life they each want but didn’t know they needed. Victoria learns so much more than decorum. She learns she can indeed stitch a wound, start a fire, bake bread and do laundry. She also learns about love. Piers discovers he loves her smile, her touch and laugh. Together they forge a future.
Victoria undergoes a huge transformation in this story. She realizes just how inept she is at practical things and managing for herself while getting an epiphany about what her student really need. I love how she blossoms with the earl and they each undergo transformations.
Educated by the Earl is the second book in Miss Primm series. It follows the journey of Miss Primm’s assistant Victoria and her brother Piers.
I absolutely loved the forced proximity trope in this one. The way Victoria nurses Piers back to health and a connection is forged between them meanwhile was beautiful and close to reality. I also liked how she didn’t immediately agree to get married when they were caught and was looking for alternative ways to handle the situation.
The chemistry between the couple was immediately noticeable and that made me root for them since the beginning.
Victoria Shipley is prim and proper. She teaches Decorum and Comportment at Miss Primm’s Seminary for the Refinement of Ladies and she’s very good at her job, because good manners and social etiquette have been instilled in her since she was very young. But when she unexpectedly remains alone in the snowbound school at Christmas she realizes that she’s helpless in other matters… Like cooking or cleaning or generally fending for herself in an empty house. Is it possible that all the things she knows and teaches are not so important after all? And when an adorable rogue suddenly arrives at her door and then proceeds to faint in front of her, what does she have to do? Piers, Earl of Rosewood, only wanted to be with her sister at Christmas. But then he’s caught in a storm and thrown from his horse and on top of everything he finds her sister, Miss Primm, gone… And an infuriating and alluring spinster is all alone in his sister’s school. Could a little seduction loosen her very proper ways? Can he still be the rogue that is supposed to be when she’s so sweet and kind? I just LOVE Annabelle Anders. She writes books that can be funny and moving at the same time and she’s able to bring you inside her characters’ heads, make you feel what they are feeling and leave you exhausted by all the emotions that they, and you with them, are experiencing. Victoria’s character is particularly captivating, because during the book all her beliefs are shaken, but she boldly embraces a new point of view and becomes a better person for that. As for Piers… Suffice to say, I wished I were Victoria, stranded alone in a house during a snow storm with such a fascinating rogue! Swoon! I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Yet again, Annabelle Anders has crafted a beautiful, enchanting love story. Educated By The Earl checks all the boxes for a lovingly written, character-driven novel. This is a tale of two strangers forced together that forge a partnership that leads to sizzling attraction.
This plot had numerous delicate, intricate layers that created organic, vivid characters that captured my heart. Both Piers and Victoria have troubled pasts, and both have sworn off love; but their forceful, vibrant personalities resonated with me. The couple’s chemistry grows and flourishes throughout, which focuses solely on the two main characters for a good part of the book. This forced proximity fosters an inclusive, intimate, sensual feel.
The personal growth of each main character is enormous, and the couple’s self-reflections add to the story's validity. The individual development of Piers and Victoria enables the couple to connect on a more visceral, passionate level. At times, the couple’s struggles are heartbreaking, yet the undeniable love that blooms is outstanding.
Educated By The Earl is the second book in Miss Primm’s Secret School For Budding Bluestockings. This series follows a headmistress and several instructors at a girl’s finishing school. This novel had all the qualities of an fascinating, well-developed, oh-so-romantic read! The writing was exquisite; my heart raced just by describing the character’s looks or gestures. Always a fan of Annabelle Anders, she has outdone herself, creating a magical world of passion and romance that will leave the reader craving more!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book through the author. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Etiquette teacher, Miss Victoria Shipley, isn’t looking for romance. She is moral, proper and takes her position as assistant headmistress quite seriously. Then just before Christmas he goes to visit his sister Augusta but is injured on route & whilst Isolated with this uppity Spinster, however, his priorities take a turn. The second book in the series & yes it could easily be read on its own but to fully appreciate it I’d recommend reading the series in order. I loved both Piers & Victoria, she’s prim & proper (no pun intended), he's the handsome rebellious now heir. I loved how he takes charge of the household tasks & also tethering Gertrude. A very well written book that makes you laugh, makes you sigh & also makes you shed a tear or two. I just love the pairs journey to a HEA & look forward to more in the series My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read
Educated by the Earl is book 2 in the Miss Primm’s Secret School for Budding Bluestockings series. I enjoyed this book. I thought the pace slowed a bit in the middle but quickly picked up steam. I liked Victoria Shipley’s character. Anders does an excellent job of portraying an 1830’s woman, subjected to the constraints of her time. For those who didn’t marry, their life was dependent upon their relatives or their wits. Victoria had become a teacher after her engagement was called off. She first appears in a book called The Perfect Spinster and it is a delightful read. At first I didn’t like the hero very much - The Earl of Rosewood - Piers is a completely self-centered man. But Anders does a great job of peeling back the layers of her characters and giving them depth. “His breath was hers. And his taste, a potion that weakened all her defenses. Dizziness consumed her.” Bravo!
Let me start by saying Annabelle caused me to lose sleep with this one..
When the heroine finds herself alone at Primms school she realizes she's not so independent.. Just a few days before the Christmas holidays, How is she going to manage til her students arrive? Well her answer arrives one night during a snowstorm and he is the brother of the headmistress of the school.. Well he can do it all including stir up her desires and feelings.. Without giving too much more away just know that the heroine gets her very own Earl who can cook and so much more.
The goat is the one who stole my heart though you will see why! That goat stole the show..
I received this a gift from the Author in exchange for an honest review and these are purely my thoughts and no one else's views
This story is delightful. Victoria who is the assistant at Miss Primm’s school finds herself alone over the holiday break when Miss. Primm is summoned home because of a sick mother. Miss Primm’s brother Piers finds himself arriving at the school sick and he ends up injured. Even though it isn’t proper because of his sickness and a horrible winter storm Victoria let’s Piers stay. Their story is one that will make you laugh. They have a ton of chemistry and their banter is interesting. They both find that what they originally thought of the other was not quite true. You will really enjoy their story.
I am re-enrolling in school especially if the teacher will be Piers. We have a goat, cooking lessons, bedroom lessons, an unconscious at times and hilarious dirty talking rake. What more could you ask for? Oh yes, he happens to not want marriage but neither does she. Or so they think? Hmmm… I was laughing out loud at Piers comments/rants and teaching Victoria to do the same. “You buffoon”. This is for the most part a fairly angst-free read if that is what you are looking for but there is a little twist at the end but no worries a HEA is guaranteed. A fun and quick read.
This is my 34th book of Annabelle Ander’s that I’ve read. I just LOVE her writing. I know I will always get a good read from her books. I never not read any of her new releases.
I am really liking this series so far. I really liked the characters and the storylines. I really enjoyed this one a lot. I really loved Victoria and Piers. Such interesting circumstances and just an overall fun read.
Loved this story of strait-laced etiquette teacher Miss Victoria Shipley and rakish Piers Primm, the Earl of Rosewood. As assistant headmistress of Miss Primm's Private Seminary for the Education of Ladies, Victoria's life is set as a spinster. When Piers arrives at the school unannounced when Victoria is the only person left behind at the Christmas holidays, all that changes. Loved the strong, independent, yet rather inept at life's business, Victoria, and the gruff, yet caring and honest Piers. This story is filled with life's foibles, family relationships, romance and humour - a must read!
The heroine lived a very narrow life and the H doesn't share her view of herself. He's gorgeous, capable and she just isn't. They are caught in a snow storm and as they work hard to survive, they fall in love. Sweet love story.
Piers Primm, Earl of Rosewood is a rake, a good time reveler & a world traveler - he was the spare for the title but when his older twin died, he was thrust into a title that he did not want, need, or even care about. He and his father have a hate relationship, but Piers does love his Mother, brothers & especially his sister, Auggie.
Miss Victoria Shipley is beautiful, a daughter of a viscount & a spinster who has become an Etiquette teacher & Assistant Headmistress at Miss Primm's Seminary for the Refinement of Ladies. This Christmas she is staying at the school alone, but it doesn't take long to realize she doesn't even know how to do the simple things to take care of herself - she has never cooked, started a fire, or cleaned. Now she is questioning everything she has learned, taught her whole life.
Piers appears at the school to see his sister in the middle of a raging snowstorm & injures himself trying to get into the school. He becomes feverish & instructs Victoria on how to care for him before the fever renders him unconscious. The proper Victoria finds herself having to get Piers out of his wet clothing, nursing him through the fever, wiping his hot body down with cooling cloths & fighting the new feelings she is having. When the fever passes, Piers teaches her many things - in the kitchen & in the bedroom & Gertrude, the goat, adds some hilarious moments. This is a wonderful spicy romance with a great couple & the book is well-written & kept me turning pages quickly! I voluntarily read & reviewed an Advanced Reader's Copy of this book; all thoughts & opinions are my own.
What a delightful story. Our H is the brother of the school owner where our h is assistant director. The h has no desire to marry because she had a bad experience years ago with being betrothed. Due to everything not going as plan, the H decides to spend Christmas with his sister but she has left to see their sick mother. He and the h soon become better acquainted and get to know each other in the biblical sense. The h decides she doesn't want to die a Virgin so the H educates her in passion.
I did feel a connection to this couple so their "passion" was believable. Heat level 5 out of 5 and described several times.
The story has many layers due to the secondary character's lives being weaved into the story. I found all the character's to be strong and had strong beliefs that were hard to give up.
No cheating, but not all is solved in this story. No cliffhanger for our H/h but the author has set up the stories of the secondary character's and it will be an enjoyable ride to see how they all reach their HEA. We are treated to two epilogues - and thankfully you don't have to download either one (which I detest having to do). So I thank the author for that. This story has romance, HEA for our H/h and a steam.
I received an advanced copy all opinions are my own and freely given. (ljb)
TERRIFIC READ!!! Educated by The Earl by Annabelle Anders is book 2 in the Miss Primm's Secret School for Budding Bluestockings and what a charming series this is. Though in a series this book can be read as a standalone. I am so enjoying this series and this is only book 2 which has a wonderful Christmastide theme. The characters are wonderful and very well written. Annabelle never disappoints and is one of the best writers of today. The story is witty and yet has some really sad parts to it. It keeps you on your toes. I have to say that I so enjoyed reading this book and it definitely put me in the holiday spirit. This story has a teach that was raised as a lady, a mother who did not teach her daughter to be domestic, being alone at Christmas, her bosses brother showing up ill and hurt, a bad fever, death, mourning, being alone with a man, being taught the basics, being proud, a rake and a rogue, a snow storm, being taught other things as well and falling in love. This has it all and I am highly recommending you read this book. As I said it was terrific!
***This book was gifted to me and I am voluntarily reviewing.
Miss Shipley is well schooled in the ways of the ton but when she is left alone on the school property for the Christmas holiday she finds that she is woefully undereducated. Miss Primm had planned to stay with her for the holiday but got called away by a health emergency for her mother. Luckily for Victoria, a stranger shows up at the door in the middle of a snow storm. Miss Primm's brother, Piers, the Earl of Rosewood. He had come to visit his sister but was thrown off his horse. Piers has the skills that Victoria is missing but first she has to nurse him through a fever and stitch up his arm - luckily she is good at embroidery. Together the two manage to get by and and start to fall in love in the process. Just when things are looking up things take a turn for the worse. I dare any reader to not tear up at the situation. When the Happily Ever After finally happened you can't help but be excited and the way the book ends I can't wait for the next installment of the Miss Primm's School story. I received an advanced copy of this book in return for an honest review.
Annabelle Anders' characters are fun, flirty, sexy, and romantic. Educated by the Earl is the story of Miss Victoria Shipley, an etiquette teacher at Miss Primm's Secret School for Budding Bluestockings. Victoria is left alone at Christmas while the owner, Miss Primm, goes home. Miss Primm's brother, Piers breaks a window trying to get into the school during a storm and Victoria has to stitch his arm back up. She then realizes as she is tending to him that there are a lot of things she doesn't know how to do. Who better to teach her than Piers? This book is so much fun. The characters are witty, the scenes are fun and romantic. It is definitely a book you can't put down. There is even a teaser for the next book in the series and I can't wait to read it. I know it will be great!
I would like to thank the author for the advanced reader copy. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
I enjoyed this historical romance story with all of the characters. The two main characters were Miss Victoria Shipley and Piers Primm, The Earl of Rosewood.
Miss Victoria Shipley works as the assistant headmistress in the school called Miss Primm school for girls. When Miss Primm has to leave the school to go see her family. She will have to fend for herself until the other teachers return.
Piers Primm, The Earl of Rosewood has return and decides to visit his sister at her school. But he did not expect that his horse would get scared of a tree and through him off during a snow storm. When he does get to the school he is surprised to not find his sister there but her assistant headmistress instead.
This was a fun story to read with all things that happened throughout the story. It had me laughing a lot.
I received a complimentary copy via author. This is my honest unbiased opinion.
This story had such engaging characters in Victoria Shipley and Piers, Lord Rosewood. Victoria had experienced a rigid upbringing and now she is alone at the school, she realises how inadequate she was at looking after herself. Victoria realised that she was lacking in the basic skills. Piers is her complete opposite, he isn’t one for following the rules and he is capable of fending for himself. They are both affected by their upbringing but in different ways. Whereas Piers rebelled, Victoria conformed. I enjoyed how they interacted with each other and although they are both attracted to each other, can anything more come of it, when they have both decided not to marry. There are a few surprises later in the book that I didn’t see coming. I found this to be an entertaining read and a very good start to a new series. I’m looking forward to reading the next in the series.
Working at Miss Primm's School for Girls has been all Miss Victoria Shipley has known for the last several years of her life. With a broken engagement behind her, she is resigned to a life of spinsterhood, and has no expectations of love. Alone at the school for Christmas, her solitude is interrupted by the arrival of the headmistress's brother, Piers Primm, Earl of Rosewood. With a blizzard raging outside, she has no choice but to allow him to stay, regardless of propriety. But when Piers makes his interest known, Miss Shipley is in serious danger of being compromised. But would that be so bad?
I love this new series so much! Characters that were secondary in previous series by Ms Anders are now front and center, and ready to find love.
I received and ARC of this book in return for my honest review. All opinions are my own.
