I want to like this book more than 3 stars. One Eye is a ligth dark romance. The hero, One Eye is such sensitive man. Miss Savage also inserting many jokes in her story telling. Some part, I smiled.
The story is light, vanilla and like I said, funny. I was not expecting all of those elements. I was expecting something gritty, dark, twisted.
Anyway, an OK book to close my weekend.

Starting a new series by an author you like is always an experience. You know you’ll find things you already enjoy, but there will also be surprises.
Here the surprise came from the dynamics inside the club. As usual, each member has his quirk, his special ability or his physical feature. But between identical twins, a feud between an old member and a younger one, the recluse grieving member, and the Prez’s mental illness, there isn’t one dull moment in the ensemble scenes. And of course, there’s the hero, One eye, who’s adjusting to this new version of the club he’s been a member for so long.
The introduction of the main couple felt a bit odd. I don’t know if there were elements in previous books, or if the details given about their relationship are supposed to be enough, but I felt I was missing something. But what we’re offered of Alicia and One eye’s love story are quite compelling.
Alicia was nothing like a doormat. Quite the opposite, actually. She’s a survivor. Which also means that she’s broken and needs to heal, and One eye’s reluctance to share his dark past with her doesn’t help. Starting the book on a break-up was bold. Especially since they’re never far from each other.
Though Alicia’s daughter, Kimmy, was adorable, I wasn’t a fan of her relationship with One eye. Don’t get me wrong, they were cute as surrogate-father and daughter, but I didn’t get how Kimmy–who isn’t a baby–could feel so strongly for One eye.
To illustrate their bond, there’s a specific scene that felt way over the top. As was the last act of the story. Though the main arc was Alicia and One eye mending their relationship, the story around them seemed to go all over the place, without a clear plot–only chunks of good ideas vaguely bound together by the characters.
Good characters, an interesting idea for a love story, but it deserved a tighter plot.

ARC review. I have read all the books in the Ruthless Underworld series so far and was excited to get an ARC copy of One-Eye. If you haven't been reading the series then there will be a lot of characters and conversations that you won't get. You could read it as a stand-alone and the story is still good. But you'll enjoy it more by getting the whole story.
One-Eye and Alicia are both introduced in earlier books so we know a little about them. Their characters don't change from the first meeting to this book. They are just bought into the limelight. Which I love when reading K.L. Savages books. You always want to read someones else's story, watch them get their HEA. This was no different and was a great addition to the series.
One-Eye wanted it all with Alicia but after what her ex put her and Kimmy through she couldn't let him in. She needed to fix herself before she could give it to someone else. The risk of her breaking was too big to take and with One-Eye keeping her just at arm's length it wasn't a risk she was willing to take.
Despite that they are apart for months nothing has changed One-Eye loves Alicia and she loves him. But he doesn't see her ever making her way back to him. When his distracted state becomes too much for the club Boomer suggests it's time to try and see if there is someone else for him. However, fate or rather Kimmy steps in when she breaks down about missing him. Alicia would give her anything so she reaches out to One-Eye.
A dangerous situation risks both One-Eye and Kimmy's life pushing Alicia back into his path. Although she has reservations she's beginning to let Quin in as he reveals even that little piece of truth in his name. After her ex's brother, Vince makes an appearance the club goes into protective mode and bring Alicia to the club where there is no chance she can deny what she and Quin have.
Despite the bumps in the road they find their way through and let their walls down. Happiness doesn't last long though when Vince returns for his revenge. Alicia is missing, Kimmy is injured and Quin is ready to kill. Will he save Alicia before things get out of hand so they can be a family or will he be too late?

You can't start a book where the couple decided to take a break
You can't NOT introduce us the couple!
I only know who they are and a LITTLE behind the scene of them before that prologue ONLY because i read the other book before this one with another couple, but this doesn't mean you can write a book about them as standalone without putting in those scenes i saw from that book. In that book i didn't even knew they where intimate, or how they got close you know? i NEEDED to see that.
You can't just start it like the past doesn't matter.
If you want me to connect with them and feel the i love you's from the start i needed to SEE it HAPPEN!!! also his relation with her daughter it's really close, WELL i freaking NEEDED to see it in order to feel something about him wanting her as his.
After this break up, again with random stuff said that WE DON'T know about they reconnect because the lil girl misses him, and well when she brings her over and he is like ''mama, take the money, i wanna pay child support'' i was like, F*ck OFF this book, if you don't wanna give me all the details above, i don't freaking need this book.
Sorry for this rant, but i'm really mad, give us the freaking peaces we missed before that prologue and THEN i would come back and give it a try AFTER i have all the answers.
I don't wanna freaking guess, i want to see the story happen with my own eyes, not only being told random facts. no thanks, goodbye.

"The thought of being with a man that is capable of doing unspeakable things scares me. Because I've had unspeakable things done to me."
Alicia calls it quits with One Eye after her nerves get the better of her. She's afraid of the violence she knows he can do, but also how he keeps parts of himself separate from her. She's afraid of how that will impact her and her daughter... at least that what's she tells herself. After months of separation, the two try to give it another go, but can One Eye open up? Can Alicia admit some of her fear is just her trusting again?
This was really a super sweet book, even amidst the darkness. This was an emotional read and you really grow to love One Eye and Alicia so much! You want them to succeed and to finally be a family. Both of them have issues they need to work through, but Alicia was super strong in the face of all her adversity. And One Eye just grew on you so much - all his sweetness that he has for both Alicia and her daughter. I loved how One Eye called her mama, lol "because you're so f... hot, I knew you'd take d@mn good care of me". Loved it!

Another good read. I'm almost done reading all of this authors books. Wasn't playing much attention to that but instead I was trying to read all that goes with the Ruthless and RBMC. Started noticing I only have a few more books to go to have all of hers.
This is One Eye's aka Quinn and Alicia's book. You can probably guess why they call him One Eye... it's a gross story but he was doing right. I really liked this book but I think some of it was way over the top. The Ferris Wheel, all the different ways of getting kidnapped and the "sewer rats". Yeah show have kept with one or two of all that.
Off to yet another of K.L. Savages books.

You guys have heard me say this countless times but it's just so true; every book this duo releases is just FLAWLESS. I really had no idea what to expect with this book, since there's so much we don't know about this mysterious man, but I was pleased to see just how *different* this book starts off versus how the other books in the universes have gone. When you get to the prologue, Quinn (one eye) and Alicia are very much in love with one another and wants so desperately for their relationship to work.. but it just isn't. Alicia has PTSD from her past relationship and she fears nearly every man she comes in contact with, while Quinn is so closed off from his past and why he is the way he is, she feels like she doesn't know him. They both know they can't go on like this, so they take a break, hoping that some time in the future they can rekindle their romance without anything standing in their way. So you see these two brilliant characters better themselves so they can be better for each other (and for that adorable little girl, Kimmy!) and it just melted my heart!
I so loved getting to know who Quinn was, I loved seeing Alicia become so much stronger and overcome all the obstacles that held her back, and above all us, the connection between Kimmy & Quinn was just the best. Wow! We really love this story so much emotion more than a few laughs. We thought Alicia and One Eye made an awesome couple it was evident that they love each other so much but, sometimes love is just not enough and your partner needs more and this time around Alicia is sticking to her guns of what she wants but, also what she deserves and needs wanting to get it right this time around.
From the moment you started turning the pages, you were rooting for this couple and their family. Kimmy who was Alicia daughter was so adorable, priceless and a heart melting character who saw and wanted One Eye for her own and to be her daddy together or apart that is just how she saw him and the same goes for One Eye.
Alicia and One Eye are working through stuff emotional stuff, past stuff, so they are taking a break to see if they can make their way back to one another, all the while never have they stopped loving one another. The chemistry for this couple off the charts. Talk about some hot and sexy scenes, this couple knew how to burn brightly in and out of bed.
For this couple they have to overcome their pasts and now their future is in peril and things heat up once again. The characters of this story were awesome the MC men some really characters that lead us to laughing out loud over and over again, and we have to say their President has his hand full of these knuckleheads.
Overall there were a few heart pounding moments, some very funny scenes and also a lot of heart melting moments that touched your heart. Kimmy, that little girl, wormed her way into our heart right from the very beginning of the story and remained an important character all the way through to the end, making even those big scary bikers melt anytime she was around, which made us smile time and time again.

*3.5-4 Star Rating*
There's just something about Ruthless Kings: Atlantic City Chapter that I can't connect to as a reader. I am not sure what it is, but it doesn't resonate with me as well as some of the other locations. I like their books as a part of the story, but I don't get that deep, soul-sucking emotion that you experience when you lose yourself in a book.
In Boomer's Rise, we get a sneak peak of this story when the MC goes ice skating. It's supposed to be a goodwill trip to play nice with the locals, but One-Eye meets a single mother at the rink and falls in love with her. By the end of Boomer's Rise, you can see that Alicia has demons of her own though, and it's not going to be easy to win her over. I feel like this was the perfect setup for their own story. Knowing a little of what to expect made me really excited when it was announced that One-Eye was the next book. I even overlooked the whole, "He's from Atlantic City, and I don't really care for them." I was ready!
As this story opens up, the prologue is tragic in its own way. One-Eye and Alicia are going to take a break on their relationship. Neither wants to, but there's too many issues between them to continue without a change. Normally, you don't see a quiet strength in a male book character. In One-Eye, it just works. On the outside, he's the tough King that's ready to throw down at a moment's notice, but inside, he hides his sensitivity from a brutal upbringing. It is a little hard to reconcile the two facets of his personality. However, his quirks complement Alicia's fears in a way that you wish they would hurry up and figure it out.
I think the main reason for my rating is that although there are new situations, I feel like there's some repetition from the previous books. At certain times, I caught myself saying, "Oh, this was like such and such book, but it's a little different." I would have preferred a brand new concept or a general idea that's been worked differently.
The other reason for my rating is that the last couple of books have completely bowled me over. They were utterly amazing, and as a reader, I didn't have the words to describe all the emotions that they evoked. Those were instantly rated as 5 stars, so when you compare One-Eye to them, I felt like it was just eh. It's good just not as good as Rainbow or Badge, or Whistler. It could just be that it's Atlantic City.

From the outset Quin and Alicia’s relationship is a series of back and forth missteps, in which, they were never on the same page at the same time but threats to our heroine continue to pull One-Eye back into her life, proving the heart recognizes its’ own forever The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and passionate.
There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including Boomer and Scarlett, Kansas and Violet, as well as Arrow, Wolf, Pulse, Decay, Colt, Warden and Bane; Alicia’s daughter Kimmy, and her boss Dr. Glenn Lancer. The requisite evil has many faces. The reader is up close and personal with some of the struggles of the individual members of the Ruthless Kings MC.

Whoa talk about a book filled with so many different pulse racing events. Be prepared for your emotions to be sent on a rollercoaster (or ferris wheel..) with no safety bar.
This couple went through so much both together and apart you will find yourself madly turning the pages to see what happens next.

First off, I love this cover. Second, if you haven't read the other Atlantic City books, this is one instance I think you should before starting this. One Eye and Alicia meet and kind of start in those. But if not, think of this as a second chance romance. MC style.
One Eye just wants her, and her kid, but they both have things to work past, and he needs some more confidence. There's a wild, scary scene near the beginning with him and Alicia's daughter- it was nerve wracking. And then near the middle of the book, the twist is so like, strange and unexpected. Poor Alicia, she is put through a lot! But she finds her bada$$ness, and they work it out, and it ends so happily and in a cute way. I loved the ending. And I always love seeing glimpes into the other members' lives.

I just cannot say enough about KL Savage's novels. Each one I read makes me fall in love with the rough exterior, teddy bear interior MC biker. One-Eye is definitely one guy that is book-boyfriend material. We get an introduction to One-Eye in Boomer'd Rise and see that he has a soft spot for kids. Who would have thought a tough guy being all sweet for a sweet, little girl.

He meets a cute and sweet little girl, Kimmy, while the club is out skating and trying to show that this chapter is nothing like the original one. She steals his heart and so does her mom, Alicia. She needs to herself back together before she can give herself to One-Eye. No matter what Alicia says, One-Eye is not giving up on her or the relationship that they could have. This is the first book I have read in this series and by this author yet I wasn’t confused or lost but I do plan to go back and enjoy the rest. This book was emotional for a MC book because One Eye (side note his road name should have been Pirate or what I called him in my head One Eyed Willy lol) and Alicia have had a relationship that hasn’t been the easiest because one is afraid to fully open up to the other and the other is still learning to deal with their past. They decide to call a timeout on their relationship to try to become better versions of themselves yet all the time apart does is make them miss each other And angry at the world. One Eye wants his family no matter what but can he let Alicia fully in and learn about his past or is he too afraid she will run when she learns the details? Will Alicia fully ever trust men again or herself to be strong enough for her and her daughter or will she run away never finding peace? This book was suspenseful, emotional, funny at times, and frustrating which was all enjoyable. I did think Alicia’s back and forth with One Eye was very frustrating because she wanted him to let her in yet she kept holding herself back it was like she was leading him on yet not really knowing that was what she was doing. Alicia had a rough marriage before that did destroy her trust in men but when she started a relationship with One Eye she knew he was a fierce protector and his club only handle those who are cruel and deserving so when she said she didn’t know how to deal it left me asking why. Why is it when women in MC romance books start to date the protective alpha biker suddenly become crazy fearful and hate their lifestyle knowing this is what they signed up for from the start? Anyways I did love One Eye’s character he was loyal, loving, and wanted to always be there/protect his family. Kimmy, Alicia’s daughter was very cute and the way her relationship with One Eye progressed was adorable because they loved each other unconditionally. Overall this was a great read with suspense and angst that makes a good MC romance.

One Eye by K.L. Savage is book Three in the Ruthless Kings MC Atlantic City Series. This is the story of Alicia and One Eye. I have read the previous books which it does help with the enjoyment of this one since they interconnect but I did think you could make it a standalone if you truly wanted to.
Alicia is a single mother who has bad issues that threaten her. One Eye just happens to meet Alicia at a event and knows pretty quickly that he wants her but things won't go so smooth. Loving this series.

I absolutely love KL Savage books. I'm a huge Ruthless Kings fan. My heart will always belong to the original Vegas chapter, but I like what Boomer is doing out there in New Jersey.
Quinn and Alicia broke up because the club had her ex-husband murdered. Honestly, it sounds like he was a d bag so he deserved it, of course he did, because the club never murders people in cold blood. But Alicia had trouble dealing with it so they separated, and Alicia tried to move on with her daughter, Kimmy. Kimmy begs to see Quinn or as his brother's call him, One-Eye. The majority of the book is Quinn proving how much he cares about Kimmy and Alicia. Meanwhile, Alicia's ex-husband's brother comes looking for her. He captures her and some crazy maniac in his gang decides he wants to marry her.
I wouldn't say this is my favorite book of KL Savage's, but it was an absolute delight to read. I mean, the guys are opening up a pot dispensary and they get locked in a truck with a burning bag of pot. It's the most hilarious thing I've read in years. The scene where Kimmy and Quinn get stuck on the ferris wheel and he has to save her tore my heart up in such a good way. Would absolutely recommend this book.

Oh lord, how I love the Atlantic City chapter! One-Eye and Alicia captured my heart from the moment they met. I wanted them to make it, desperately. When they parted, it was for both of them to work on themselves. Once they were in a better place, starting to mend from their various traumas, then they could be together. Alicia's emotional rollercoaster put you right into her headspace. Her desire and love for One-Eye at odds with her fears. One-Eye's own insecurities kept getting in his way. I loved him calling her Mama, it just melted me every time he said it. Her nickname for him did the same. They were so perfectly imperfect for each other and to see them together was everything. That ending though, whoa, it just opened up a whole new world for the Ruthless Kings. I can't wait to see them navigate it. K.L. Savage just keeps growing by leaps and bounds, further cementing their place as one of my all time favorite authors. Another spectacular story, all the stars for Alicia and One-Eye!

Have you started this series? If you haven't then you need to. Ruthless Kings Atlantic City chapter is really good. So here we have One Eye and Alicia. Now you have seen them mentioned in the previous books so you know you should be expecting their story. So One Eye is still dealing with his issues and does not like to open up. Alicia is grateful to him and the guys. However there is a pull to One Eye that she has never experienced before. Now we all think that her troubles are over and they can focus on a relationship. Well things are real rocky and then someone from her past makes an appearance. Uh oh, right. Yeah this is not good. Some things happen to One Eye and Kimmy who happens to be Alicia's daughter and this may have put brought some perspective. What do these two need to endure to realize that they need each other like they need air. Well get ready for one heck of a ride besides the ferris wheel. Will these two get a happily ever after? You will not want to miss out on this.

One eye and Alicia’s story is one you are really gonna be rooting for. They both have bad pasts, pasts that have given them real bad issues. Alicia knows she loves One Eye and that he loves her but he messed up and that sent Alicia running taking Kimmy with her. Kimmy wants to see One Eye and the MC so Alicia allows it letting her bond with One Eye even more. Alicias pasts comes back and she gets kidnapped and its up to One Eye to save the woman who hold his heart in her hands. There is a few twists and turns but it does show that love can conquer all and that little girl will steal your heart, she did mine. I’m so pleased of the outcome of their story and I’m looking forward to the next book.

Why dose love have to be so hard??? Hard to find, hard to keep and hard to let go of when you dont want to. Quinn and Alicia go thru all of this with their emotional roller coaster of love. They love each other enough to go through many many pains. They break up, they make up yet are they each strong enough to survive? Then add a child to the mix who just wants a daddy who wants her. So many twists and turns you dont see coming from the whole MC family. With the support of the MC family pushing them all together. Safety in numbers against the evils in this world. Read and see if One eye aka Quinn, Alicia and Kimmy can become the family unit they need to be in the MC family...????

This was another great addition to the Ruthless Kings MC/Ruthless Underworld series. I have really enjoyed all of the stories, and this book was no exception. The only issue I have is that this story (as well as a few others) seemed to be getting shorter. Because of the shorter length, the stories don't seem to have the same depth &/or details as the original books. Overall, it was a great story, but I really hope that future ones will be more like the original ones that this author started with.
I would definitely recommend this book, series, and outstanding authors.

Here are some things that actually happened in this book:
1) Death by Ferris Wheel
2) The FMC was tied to a chair using a child's jumprope (not as a joke, not kink-ily, and not by a child) during an actual serious kidnapping.
3) Mr. Pickles is lost in a dog fight
4) they take a trip to NYC and a person on the street actually says "fuggettaboutit" 🤌 (and uses this hand gesture - it is literally described)
I loved this book, some of the stuff that happened was utterly ridiculous, but the trauma that Alicia and Quin went through was real and they deserved to be happy. I also want to know what One-eyes road name was before they cut his eye out????

The next story for the Ruthless Kings MC Atlantic City gives us Quinn “One Eye” journey. He is one of the few members that is left from the old prez that has a bad history. Quinn knew that Alicia was it for him and her adorable daughter Kimmy, he had to just prove it to her. I love getting more of the characters in this new series and this newest release did not disappoint as action, danger, suspense and glorious heat level spills out from start to finish. I can’t wait to she what happens next in this already addicting series.

Waiting for this book! It didn’t disappoint except in one way….it ended. I could have stayed in their world longer.
One Eye has been hurt by previous members and carries the scars still, literally. Alicia came from an abusive relationship and has her own invisible scars. Watching them find their way together was, at times, heart wrenching. There were so many twists and turns and surprises! But thankfully, they found their HEA. I also loved their playlist!! Great songs.

Great book
Alicia was in an abusive relationship she had a daughter to think about. One eye came to her rescue and got her away from him and fell in love with and kimmy he did everything he could to keep her but he didn't open up about his past and an she was trying to get thru he stuff and figure out what she was gonna do.

Although I wish they spent more time together than apart, I understood the journey they needed to go on for themselves in order to finally be together again. To finally be able to heal for themselves before getting back together.
I also do wish there were scenes of them together before their breakup. I would have loved to watch them fall in love with one another and watch him fall in love with Kimmy in their perspectives rather than the glimpses we saw in Boomer’s and Kansas’ books.
I wish there were more of them but overall I still enjoyed the book.

I do like the books, I hate all the weird names, I am confused about how his name was One Eye, when we find out in this book, he didn't actually lose his eye until he got "strung Up", and he had already been in the club long before that. If his name was not One Eye before that, there is no way his brothers would have just started calling him that, because they know how insecure he is about it. The way these books are written, they all look out for the other's mental health, so I couldn't see Boomer or the guys giving that name to him in the aftermath.
