I really enjoyed this book. The characters, the plot, the pace... all great. If it weren't for one complaint, I'd happily grant it five stars.
I just have serious issues with Arsenio's spanish. Especially his two nicknames to Hyde and Drexe. They're so bad they're jarring."My pequeña preciosa" is in feminine, so even though the rest of the text is masculine he's very much calling Drexe his precious little girl. It'd be cute if ut weren't so out of character. And "mi amor mortel" wouldn't be that bad if it wasn't misspelled. It's mortal (with an A), not mortel. It wouldn't be the word choice I'd use (I think "letal" or "fatal" would convey the idea better), but the misspelling is just like nails on a chalkboard. Whomever Brea got the spanish from likely didn't speak it well enough to understand the gender changes in adjectives. It took me out of the scene every time. But as far as dislikes, it's not anything major. Just really annoying.

This author is slowly becoming one of my favorite paranormal authors, specifically their MMM+ books (I’ll admit that while I enjoy their writing I haven’t traveled into too many of their “more traditional” books). They are dark and twisted, a little gory and usually have a decent amount steam to them, but on top of that there is usually little angst (which for some reason I can’t handle too well these days).

Unfortunately while I enjoyed the plot of this book, I was left a little disappointed in the end. For one, the sex was virtually nonstop, which really didn’t bother me, but I just really wanted more relationship and world building in between, especially with our beloved princess, but that’s just my opinion.

The biggest disappointment of the whole book, that is a fact and not an opinion, is the editing was atrocious. I absolutely did not expect that from this author. Many times throughout the book the wrong name was used and it honestly drove me batshit crazy... it’s like a top 5 pet-peeve of mine.

Below is some highlights of a few editing issues that drove me bonkers

A single thick brow raised, but other than that, Arsenio said nothing.
“A single thick brow raised, but other than that, Arsenio said nothing, Arsenio turned before they reached the door and grabbed all of Hyde’s extra layers of...

A double sentence

“You know Hyde and I dated before.” It wasn’t a question, but Arsenio nodded all the same. Hyde blew out a breath. “Well, I fell in love with Hyde, and yeah, I know, so why the hell did we break up?” Drexe shook his head. and his brow pinched together in anger.

The underlined Hyde should be Drexe...

That was right. Prince Timeus had taken in a werewolf and made him his lover

Prince Timeus should be Prince Weston...

Honestly this is what it would look like if I wrote a book... actually that’s a lie mine would be worse... lol

Hostage into the den of vampires, Hyde should keep his mouth shut but nooo, he just kept talking and purring, he has no filter. Whatever he was gonna die anyway.

“Okay, Daddy Vamp, lead the way, Should I call you vladdy instead?”

He thought he was safe hiding he’s a necromancer. When vampire Prince Timeus revealed they know he’s their worst enemy Hyde has to swallow. When he looks at Arsenio and even Timeus he feels desire, that’s just weird, they are enemies.

Then his ex-boyfriend Drexe ends up at his doorstep, beaten and bitten up, more dead than alive. Arsenio feels not only a strong attraction to Hyde but also Drexe. They give Drexe all the protection he needs.
Prince Timeus needs Hyde's help to exterminate bad vampires, Hyde can’t answer yet. They have to stay with Hyde until they have an answer. Powerful Timeus has hidden desires and Hyde just knows how to give him what he needs. Drexe got kidnapped again by cruel, violent vampires who don’t belong to Timeus’ kingdom. Arsenio, Timeus, and Hyde have to fight hundreds of vampires to get to their beloved Drexe.

For 95% we’re in a bubble with Hyde, Arsenio, Drexe, and Timeus. The necromancer with his pet human and two vampires. It’s emotional at times, heavy sexual, and extremely bloody.
I think the author did a great job creating this widely written narrative which almost only took place in Hyde’s house.
If you got an aversion against bloodlust, blood play, and bloody revenge don’t read this story.
If you’re not, you’ll happily find every bloody detail you like.
When you think vampires are strong, wait until you meet the necromancer! Wow, just wow!

I really wanted to like this, and I went into it excited. I’m generally not a big fan of romances that are MMMM+, mostly because it can be difficult to bring the characters together and wrote both a concise and convincing romance about them. Brea Alepou is one of a very few authors who can convince me to jump in anyway.

This is a romance between a necromancer, two vampires, and a human. This book is about their developing relationship more than anything else, in my opinion. Each characters brings their own set of flaws and strengths to the dynamic.

This time I found it difficult to connect with all of the characters in this romance. There was a pretty good job done with distinguishing between them, which I liked, and I do think that they all contributed something unique to the relationship. However, I had a hard time connecting with them. I loved Drexe (the human), I thought he was the cutest and I liked Arsenio’s (a vampire) connection with him. Honestly, I could read a whole book just about them lol. Even though Hyde (the necromancer) was a relatively well-developed character, he was also disturbing, and while I sometimes find that attractive, in this case I had a hard time warming up to him. As for the two vampire characters- while I was interested in their world and family dynamics, I really felt like I didn’t understand them much as individuals. Their backstories are, to be frank, kinda vague, and I kept waiting to hear more about their history with each other (platonic or otherwise).

On the bright side, the novel has some really hot scenes. If you can’t handle blood and the more hardcore D/S, skip over those parts. The nice thing about having four horny MCs is there’s a little something for everyone.

My #1 problem with the book was length and pacing. It was too long. Now, I know I just complained about not knowing the characters well enough, but that was mostly because I just read over 300 pages about them, so I expected to! Even though there’s some enemy-to-lovers stuff and I know that that means a certain amount of slow-burn, the romance could definitely move faster. I just got so tired of waiting for the main characters to get their dynamic figured out— precisely why I’m wary of romances with so many MCs. The action scenes, when they did come along, were short in comparison to the length of the book. If the book was shorter and the romance figured out quicker, with less brooding and more character development in the gaps between sexy times and major plot events, then this would be way better. There’s a good core story here, it just needs some ruthless editing. Speaking of editing— there were few grammar mistakes or misspellings, so it made for a smooth read.

You win some you lose some. I look forward to reading Catching Cupid’s Arrow :)

I enjoyed this steamy MMMM romance, but I have to admit I loved More Than Blood by the same author a lot more.

First off, take the warnings seriously. There is tons of blood. There are also some gruesome scenes (one makes me squeamish thinking about it). FYI - yes one of the characters enjoys pain, but I thought those scenes were well-done and NOT gruesome. The gory scenes involved bad guys, so I was ok with it. One character also went through some pretty tragic events. Despite all this, there was relatively little relationship angst, which made me happy. The characters had bad guys and their pasts to worry about. Yes, there’s the “We should be enemies” thing, but it wasn’t too angsty or too overdone.

Hyde is an interesting main character. He’s strong, powerful, and dominant, and he’s the center of the romance. Although two other characters also get involved with one another, one character solely has sex with Hyde. I thought the dynamic was interesting - not truly a harem but not also not a poly relationship where everyone gets with everyone.

Relationship dynamics aside, the characters were varied in their personalities, which is essential in a MM+ novel, and I always knew who was who. The plot was interesting and I liked the world created. Our main action comes a little late in the text and isn’t entirely unpredictable, but it was satisfying and I was happy with the end.

Overall, this was a fun and entertaining read for me, and I would recommend it if you like poly books AND if you don’t mind a little blood and gore in your reading.

I was intrigued by Hyde when he showed up to help fight the war. Think Karter's sass and lack of filter, Finnely's power, Cambridge's ruthlessness, and Eddison's darkness... and you have Hyde. And what a wild ride he took me on.

Hyde wasn't what I excepted, dark and brooding, his carefree attitude was unique in a fearless and commanding attention kind of way. After learning more about the pure power that he possesses, I can understand why the vampires tried to exterminate the necromancers. And while Hyde starts this story and ends this story adamant about his hatred of bloodsuckers, he has a soft spot for his vampires. Hyde's mood changed depending on the vampire he was interacting with.

With Arsenio, there was a playful balance, both a give and take which each character gave willingly. Prince Timeus, brought out a darker side of Hyde, one drenched in pain, BDSM, and Hyde's desire to break the unbreakable vampire. Then there was the fragile man and ex-boyfriend, Drexe, who even after several years, Hyde still finds himself unable to turn the man away. Hyde was just such an intriguing and dynamic character and while the story has an undercurrent of danger, it also had a lot of heart too.

In terms of plot, I liked that the story focused on the relationship and dynamics between the men and then just had an undercurrent plotline to carry the story along. There were definitely moments of tension and action but the main focus was on Hyde's hatred of vampires and just why he couldn't turn Arsenio and Prince Timeus away. Just a delicious addition to a captivating world.

Le sigh

I wanted to rate this book higher, but approx 80% is just smut and no plot. DO NOT get me wrong, I don’t mind that. But this could be a REALLY GOOD story if there was more plot! Hyde has an interesting way to use his magic, and I don’t see many books about necromancers so did course I’m gonna want to eat it right up. For those of you who are into back to back chapters of smexy scenes, you will like this. This was probably my first book where I was like ‘ok but can we get back to the story here?’

The Blood series is one of my absolute favorites! I'm not sure why this book slipped by me but, as soon as Hyde graced the pages of Our Blood I just knew I was reading his book IMMEDIATELY!

Hyde is even more bloody glorious than I ever thought and I LOVE HIM ! All the relationships in this were everything. Everyone fits together so flawlessly in every aspect which I loved.  I also like the part of just Timeus and Drexe being friends as well. That really snatched my heart. They are so fucking precious 😭

I'm gonna give Drexe extra love cause BABY CAKES 😭 He deserves the world that precious bean! His way of cursing tho...calls to my southern soul lmao ! "mother of all bitch ice cream.. "fucking unicorn tits"...“Butterscotch shit cookies”... tho I think "cunt cupcakes" takes the cake for me tho ! I almost ruptured a lung wheezing 😂 ... but I will be mentioning... that piercing ... you know the one 🥵

This book is easily one of my Top faves of the year already HANDS DOWN !

Nickname Sluts: (Brea always delivers!)
•Daddy Vamp
•...little one - that I'll raise you to -  mi precioso pequeño (ARE YOU SHITTING ME 😭)

Changes

“If there was ever a creature above vampires, it was necromancers, and Hyde was the very thing. The god of death.” Don’t get me wrong: Do I want to know what the inside of Hyde’s mind is like? No, but am I glad I got to experience a tiny taste of his depravity, heck yeah! He and his men are freaking amazing and I can’t wait to see them again. I just hope I don’t have to wait too long as I may get emotional like Hyde. The paths between hate and love are truly thin but in the case of Hyde, Arsenio, Drexe and Timeus, there’s nothing I dislike about any of them. In fact, I’m wholly in love and want more of them, their chaos, their insanely sexy chemistry, their nicknames, and their extraordinary love. A hair-raising, spellbinding, fascinating adventure filled with unforgettable characters that you’ll be dying to read again and again.

I really wanted to love this book, but I couldn't get into the story and the characters aren't exciting for me at all. I didn't even get to the sex and the darkness, I just got bored and put it aside.
I'm sad, because I love dark books and vampires, and all the blood, but I have no desire to read more when I can't enjoy the characters or the story.

Where do I begin? There was a lot packed in this book. Hyde definitely was the darkside of Dr. Jekyll, and he knew how to use it! He also proved that everyone can find what they desire, even in unexpected places. Ms. Alepoú has once again proven herself to be the Queen of Blood and Pain!

Oh wow, that was one hell of a trip! Funny, sexy, thrilling, heartwarming, and oh so bloody. Mostly in the cartoon violence way, though, where the recipients either deserved it or craved it.

The only reason the book doesn't get the full five stars is the lack of decent proofreading. Several instances of swapped names, many missing or redundant words, and a lack of commas that regularly had me go back and re-read sentences. Quite a few botched idioms, too. Not super terrible, but bad enough that a non-native English speaker like myself could tell.

With that being said, I'd still love to read a sequel and find out how the war goes. See? Not super terrible!

MMMM

Could this book be called a reverse harem? Sure, but then again not. Each character is strong, yet one man ties them all together. There's no group sex like some book, but interactions between the main character and each other man at separate times. Each fulfills needs the others can't. Well written! Now off to the next Blood Series book.

This was just a fun read, if you’re looking for a book with less plot and more smut then this is for you, nothing too serious, I read to the end because I was curious for the war ahead only for the war to start close to the ending of the book. I enjoyed the smut but I was looking forward to action scenes and I barely got it..

This book was based before we had met these characters in the previous books, I wish we got a snippet of their POVs from the battle and meeting the family

"Be careful what you wish for, Princess."

Hyde: A very powerful necromancer.
A sugar addict.
Let's his mouth get him in trouble sometimes.
Hates vampires.
A dominant.
Enjoys giving pain and pleasure.

Prince Timeus aka Princess: Prince of the Vampires.
Ruler of a territory.
Likes to be in control in everyday life.
Always put together.
A secret submissive and pain slut.

Arsenio aka Daddy Vamp: Prince Timeus' guard.
Strong and caring.
Spanish.
Dominant.
Similar to a daddy dom but not a daddy.

Drexe aka Pet: Human.
Hyde's ex.
Thinks he's a screw up.
Afraid of vampires.
Tattooed.
Pierced.
Bratty.
Submissive.

Hyde is a necromancer in hiding. His people have been hunted to near extinction by the vampires. He hates vampires!

One night when he is leaving the grocery store he is approached by vampires, and asked to come see the Prince. He's nervous, but he wouldn't dare show it. He runs his mouth instead. He finds himself attracted to not only Arsenio, the vampire who is escorting him to the Prince, but also the Prince himself. He doesn't understand it. He hates vampires, so how can he find not one but two so attractive? The thing is that both of them are attracted to him as well. They're natural enemies so this should not be what they are thinking about. Instead of killing him like Hyde assumed, they offer him a deal. They would like for him to work for them and take out some rogue vampires. Obviously he'd love to kill vampires, could use the money they offer, and being able to stop hiding would be great too. But does he really want to work for his enemies? The same people who hunted his people down.

"Princess, I'm sure I told you that while you're in my home, I'm in charge."

Prince Timeus and Arsenio end up coming to Hyde's home and tell him they need to stay with him and keep him close. Hyde does not like this idea, but he also can't say no for some reason. He could just pick up and leave the territory. He's used to that. But for some reason he just can't do it. Then out of nowhere his very human ex boyfriend shows up on his doorstep. He is dying and just wanted to tell Hyde he loved him one last time. Arsenio ends up saving him from death, but because he was so bad off he ends up in a coma pretty much for several days. Now Hyde is going a little crazy. Two very attractive vampires and his ex that he still loves are in his home.

"Take a deep breath, little one. Right now you're mine, and I take care of what belongs to me."

Arsenio finds himself drawn to Drexe. He can't explain why, but he knows he wants to be with him and will never let anything hurt him again. Drexe also finds himseld drawn to Arsenio. He can't explain it, but he feels safe with him.

"Don't look at me like that, Daddy Vamp, or you will end up bent over this couch."

Hyde and Arsenio give into their attraction first. Them both being dominants kind of adds a little more excitement to it. They both want to be on top, but would also bend over for the other willingly. Neither wants to dominate the other, but want to roll in the sheets fighting for the top.

"Don't you dare come, Pet."

Hyde and Drexe were together for two years, and then Drexe just ran out on Hyde. Hyde loves Drexe, but he's nervous to let him in again. Drexe is in love with Hyde as well, and wants to make up for his screw up and prove he'll never leave again. Thankfully Drexe now has Arsenio, who helps him move things along with Hyde.

"Oh, Princess, I can't wait to show you just how good you will feel under my heel, begging me on the floor."

Prince Timeus calls to Hyde's dark side. He can tell that the Prince wants Hyde to control him, and give him what no one else has been able to give him. Timeus is a submissive and pain slut, who loves to be degraded as well. Being a vampire not just any pain will do though. He needs someone who will not take it easy on him. Once upon a time he thought he could have this with Arsenio, but he was too caring, and not dark enough. Hyde shocks him though and gives him exactly what he's craving.

I love the Blood series so much, and could not wait to get my hands on this one! It was great!! The romances were just so sweet and yummy!! Falling in love with your enemy is not for the faint of heart. I absolutely love the dom/sub relationships. Hyde, who wants to give both pain and pleasure to both his subs. And Arsenio, who commands and will punish, but just wants to give pleasure. Just perfection. Can't wait to see more books in the future with these four. I just know they'll eventually make another appearance.

FYI, there is a lot of blood play in this book! Also a lot of torture and not just the sexual kind.

What sold this book for me was when I realised that Hyde didn’t have a submissive bone in his body and that Timeus is a pain slut and I was going to get to see a Vampire prince brought to his knees.
I think a lot of BDSM-adjacent books wax lyrical about humiliation and punishment and domination but they very rarely deliver. This was a book that delivered. Hyde’s casual flirting and OP necromantic threats were very hot and he did actually take possession of Timeus. It wasn’t just the blood play and the outright humiliation, there was a kind of domination even in the way he insisted that Timeus call him Mr Hyde or Sir (or Master). And Timeus respects that even in public. (The only other time I’ve seen this is in Master Wanted)

I also really liked Drexe, especially the first scene where he runs to the only man who’s ever made him feel wanted and safe. Arsenio AKA Daddy Vamp was true to his name and was generally very sweet to Drexe.

I just can’t get over how Hyde took charge like it was his right. Like he had all that power and the vampires couldn’t intimidate him, not really, and he laid down the law for his home. It was so good. And it was consensual too. That’s important. And it wasn’t some dumb mate call or whatever pulling them together. They were rational adults who had the hots for each other and especially this human necromancer Dom.

(Why the fuck can’t I find any good female alphas who do that :( Deadlier than the Males was good but it had too much of a YA feel. I loved the beginning of Bad Alpha but I didn’t really like the plot or the characters. Hmm. Fledgling is always there, of course, but how many times can I re-read my favourite scenes?)

I really liked the idea of vampires being afraid of necromancy. Though I didn’t really get the point of moving to a city so far north for the shorter days if vampire bodies need to sleep during the day anyway.

What I didn’t like: god, the dialogue (except for the flirting and the dirty talk) was horrible and the pacing was atrocious. Seriously, for 70% of the book, there’s just four men living under one roof and the only major thing that happens is relationship advancement (this is a pet peeve of mine). No cool details about Hyde’s shop, no vampire politics. The gore felt tacked on and unnecessary. It didn’t actually make Hyde seem scarier to me. Timeus’s submission would have been more intense if we actually saw him taking charge among other vampires. I thought ‘Princess’ was a cute pet name to rile him up, but I hated that it was considered humiliating because of the feminisation. Also, there were a couple of timeline errors and plot holes—the most annoying one was Hyde re-collaring Drexe twice.

I'm just ... disappointed...

The reason for my two stars is because I loved the characters, if not for that this book would get one star.

The book had soo much potential. The possibility to explore the world, the hierarchy of vampires/ supernatural beings, and the relationship between the four men in a more romantic theme; were just lost under the need to do *it*. I really liked the characters, their different personalities. But I also wanted more background information on them - what were their hope and dreams, their end goal?

The book had its darkness as it promised and I loved it - I do love a gory book. But I also wanted to know more about the price of using the necromancer power. At the end of the book, he mentioned that the necromancer power had a price; that his soul would get more black marks. But nothing really happened; He was like usual, with no extra darkness or struggle to contain his necromancer power. It would have been interesting to read about his struggles while the others continue to use him. What would happen if he snapped and the soul turns to darkness?

There was only one fight with the rebels at the end of the book. We didn't even get a scene where Hyde used his herbalist holistic witch-power. It needed more small and bigger fights - they worried about a war brewing and that's the only reason why Hyde didn't get killed in the beginning - BUT WHERE WAS THE WAR??? It took the WHOLE book for Hyde to decide if he wanted in or be killed, which IMO wasted the book.

Wow

Before I get into this, I think I should warn anyone who's not familiar with Brea Alepou that this is a truly dark romance. The characters are not exactly good people (except for maybe Arsenio maybe but even then). There's a lot of blood and while I was very into, I can acknowledge a lot of people might not be . So if you're new to dark romance, maybe pick up one of Brea's fluffier books first.

That being said, I loved every single thing about this. It was funny, it had heart, it was VERY smutty, and the supernaturals were allowed to be as dark as they wanted because last time I checked necromances weren't exactly nice. I really enjoyed reading this but it did take a lot out of me. It's not riddled with jokes and fluff but there's enough there to balance it all out. These characters are truly going through it (especially Drexe) but the journey is so worth it.

I also want to note that well Hyde isn't the most likeable character, he works so well here. Every time I felt myself getting a little annoyed with him, he would do something or say something that made him really endearing or really hot. Everyone in this book is really strong and really well done. Even Timeus the little brat.

This was just so good. Brea really pulled out all the stops on this one. I refuse to give anything away but if you like your romances dark and your supernatural darker, you'll adore this. 5 stars because Hyde was kind of sweet. Don't tell him I said that.

“I don’t hate you”

Each of the characters brought a completely different dynamic. Hyde with his bloodthirsty black heart, Arsenio with his big protective streak, Drexe with his puppy like personality, and Timeus with his posh in control exterior and his submissive soul. When put together they were explosive in a spray of blood, teeth and heat. Some scenes were so dark and yet, you couldn’t imagine them being played out any other way. A few times I thought we had seen the most Hyde could do only to be gripped a few pages later when he again upped his badassness. With such a dark and depraved mind this character could never have been in a relationship with just one person. He needed the different draws that Timeus, Drexe and Arsenio gave him. Although this is a stand alone book, I read it as a carryon from the Blood series, with name drops underplot connected I thought it was a great edition.
One of my favourite things about the book was Drexe different curse expressions. Mashing food and curse words has broaden my vocab!

This book was everything and more we have come to know with Brea’s dark romances. Her brain is a bloody scary place, I can not wait for more.

I really enjoyed this addition to the Blood series! And this book works really well as a standalone so if you don't feel like reading the other books (even though you totally should!) you won't get left behind or have to wonder what's going on.

This is a great enemies-to-lovers book and the pacing was spot on. A lot of times "enemies" in these types of books almost instantly fall into bed with one another or are unable to control their lust after first setting eyes on each other. That's not the case here. And while our MCs do obviously get together, they don't jump into a relationship. Which makes it all the more satisfying once they each give into their desires.

I really loved that each character needed something different from the relationship, and that they didn't all have the same relationship between them. But they all cared for one another in their own way and made the whole group work. I didn't really care for the pet names Hyde had for the others but that's just me...

I definitely wouldn't mind reading another book with these characters and I'm looking forward to seeing them pop up in other books from the Blood series.

I liked this fine, I guess. Hyde and Timeus were the best for me and their entire dynamic was amazing (not that I didn't like the others, they just weren't as interesting to me) There was a lot more sex than emotions in this one, which isn't necessarily a bad thing but it made the jump from mortal enemies to eternal lovers living together slightly odd.

The conflict with the other vampires was a little bit of a let-down but from my understanding, it ties into the other books in the series so maybe I was missing out on other details. I did really enjoy Hyde's monster side though. Every scene where he was unhinged was delightful and I wish there'd been more of that (yes I'm not-so-subtlely asking for more Hyde/Timeus shenanigans)

Nitpicking now but all the pet names tired me out. Why was it that using their actual names was a sign that something was wrong, they all had perfectly usable names =/ Other than that this was fun to read.

I loved the Blood stories with the wolf and the Vampires and really was looking forward to this. The story is great with natural enemies becoming more. Hyde is so very complicated and a difficult character to like. I think I liked Timeus before Hyde. However I loved Arsino and Drexe.
For an MMMM story, the dynamic was quite different. Three of them have relationships with each other and one only interacts with Hyde. So Hyde is central to everything.
I really wanted to love this but there were a number of issues that prevented that. First is length, it is too long for what happens. Second is pacing, it's very slow going until maybe 75% and then picks up. Thirdly is the number of errors pulling me out of the story.
I'd love to go back to them but hope they meet up with Weston and his group

Interesting set of very conflicted characters

This was unique, in my experience. How do the rebels think that they will be able to avoid humanity reacting with devastation against their plans? I wonder if this expansion of unknown vampires was made possible because of the slaughter of the necromancers - if they hadn’t done that, would the necromancers have been able to sense, and cull, the overbreeding that’s happening? And if so, were the leaders of the rebels behind the slaughter?

Hyde was terrifying, and he definitely deserves the fear that vampires have of necromancers. It’s amazing that either Arsenio or Timeus were able to see anything but the predator that he is. And yet, it was enjoyable reading them do just that.

I was sent a copy of this book in exchange for a review.
Wow! Four men - Hyde - dark, bloodthirsty, broody, depraved.
Arsenio - big and protective
Drexe - puppy pet and
Timeus posh exterior but a submissive.
The story was a bloody good read (excuse the pun) And there was a lot of blood and guts, a lot of pain, horror and depravity like I've never read before. But I loved it. This is the first of this series I've read and I'm looking forward to being able to read more. The way some of it was written I'm thinking there were other books before this one. Even so, it was a great read and I recommend it.
