This book reads so messed up, but I liked it. I guess that’s why it’s a beautiful mess. I am surprised, because in the beginning, I wasn’t sure how I felt, but the story became so interesting, I was unable to stop reading.

Kent and Abby, we have both POVs and equal POVs. That was prefect for me because I am able to get more insight from Kent and don’t feel like I have to guess his feelings or what his intentions might be. As I am reading, I am at 21% of the book and even though they’ve seen each other, they really haven’t spoken to each other. This is where I felt a bit unsure but the author manage to pull me back in and gain my attention once Abby’s and Kent’s story started developing. There were a lot of ingredients thrown in to this book, so many things were going on. However, it came together even if there were parts that turn me off a bit, it still came together for me personally.

Kent has a Dom submissive side with dark tendencies. Once given the ok from Nate, the groups' leader, he starts to break down Abby, but soon realizes that she responds to that dark side that he has. Kent is your typical bully but has the Double Dutch effect, watching him decide to jump in or out, I hate her, I want her it thing. Abby, it was so hard reading about Abby. It was emotionally draining as you name it she has been through it. It was honestly becoming depressing. It did not hinder me from continuing the story as it explains a lot of why Abby is the way she is. Her past was like a main character, it was needed for the story. With all the issues that have affected Abby, her chemistry with Kent still gave me life. Just a heads up, Kent got physical with someone else but it was not cheating. This may bother some readers or not.

The secondary characters made this read appealing, especially, as you become more aware of whose who and a bit of their personalities. It was interesting that Nate was the leader of this group and Kent was taking orders from him. But make no mistake, Kent was very much still an Alpha. Out of all the KINGS, Gregory, **growling** I can tell his story is going to have me weak. Beth, Abby’s cousin, nails on chalk board annoying, but she plays an important part in this story.

Overall, this book is extremely dark and touches on sensitive subjects that can trigger. It touches on rape and cutting just to name a few. If you are not a fan of dark content or romance, this really will not be for you. It’s definitely not a fairy tale romance. As the story progressed, the author actually dragged me in and kept my interest. It really started becoming a page turner. Not everything was to my liking, but I like this book enough to overlook them, and I am excited to read the other Kings’ stories.

I received an arc copy from booksprout.

***I don’t equate these stories to real life. It’s definitely about personal taste and what you would or want to tolerate with the stories you read. I hope this review was helpful.

Trigger warnings: Rape and self-harm

This book was very problematic to me. First off, we started with Abby moving in with her aunt after her mom died. Her cousin, Beth, just hates her gut. Like REALLY HATE her. Beth is in a relationship with one of the "KINGS" in her high school.

The KINGS are your typical group in most bully romances that supposedly enforces the law like the concept of consulting adults is preposterous. The mighty KINGS are very fair that they won't do anything to Abby unless she does some wrongdoings with any of the student body. So Beth decides to cut her cheek and frame Abby for it.

The KINGS assigned Kent (as in the K in Kings. This group of friends just happened to spell kings with their initials. OMFG) to torture her and get Beth the revenge she deserves.

There's a lot of assumptions made in this book by characters that are just very annoying. No proper flow of writing, tbh. The characters are all detectives; they just know things at a glance. They must work in a department like the ones in Criminal Minds. Here are some ridiculous sleuthing they uncovered after witnessing/seeing things only once.

*Abby seeing Seth in her first week at that school, and she goes:
Interestingly, he seemed to avoid blondes. I could sniff out a story there. I would bet there was a blonde ex? One, who broke his heart?
=Can't Seth just have a type?

*Kent cornering Abby in the library, and she started shaking. Here are Kent's thoughts:
I took her face in my hands and held her gaze. Shock prevented her from screaming for help. Even though I looked her straight in the eyes, I had the feeling she was somewhere else. Then, it suddenly all made sense. Of course. How could I have not seen that right away? She had been raped.
=See how problematic that is? Then, he still went on to treat her so badly. He made her do things he wanted.

*Bonnie, Kent's ex-fuck buddy, met Abby at a party when Kent had to leave her for a KINGS' meeting. Bonnie then says, "...You are no liar. But you hide things. Secrets. You always wear long sleeves. If I took a guess, I'd say you cut."
It's a very sensitive topic that you can't just ask people about it.

Sorry, this didn't work out for me. I knew too many people with this trauma, and it's just not handled well in this book.

This was a free arc from BookSirens that I willingly read and reviewed.

This is a mess; it's everything, but beautiful. 🌸

Needing a new Bullymance with a twist to read? I liked this one and found it in the same similar vein to Daniela Romero's Sun Valley Devils series. The book starts with our main female character lying in hospital after a suicide attempt and at the end of the first chapter she reflects on what led her to this moment. The book then jumps a few months back to when our main character Abby moves in with her Aunty and cousin Becky. Abby's mother has just passed and since Abby has no other family left, she has moved in with her aunty. She hopes things will be different with her cousin as her cousin has always resented her and made her out to look like the villain. When Abby arrives though, she captures the attention of the KINGS which represent Sinners High Royalty. Sadly, one of the guy’s Nate is Becky's boyfriend and she isn't pleased that Abby is gaining attention and so she decides to concoct a plan which leaves Abby an outcast and bullied. Nate dishes the job of punishment out to Kent who sees this as a chance to not only break Abby but get her to like him as he finds her hot. However, as Kent goes along with it, he soon realizes that the Abby that Becky claims she is like doesn't match up and that he doesn't know who exactly to believe. As the book goes along and Kent and Abby start to fall in love with each other, Becky decides to take things into her own hands and aims to get rid of Abby once and for all. Will Becky succeed in her twisted plans or will karma come for Becky and bite her in the backside, find out in Book #1 of Sinners High - Beautiful Mess by Melody Adams.

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review. WOW! This book took such an interesting turn with the bullying romance. I loved it! Fair warning, there are several issues in this book that can cause triggers and they are not dulled down. I think it all brought more to the story and I could not stop reading it. I absolutely loved this book and I highly recommend it! This book is going down as a must read!

Before I begin my review for Beautiful Mess (Sinners High book one) by Melody Adams, I would personally like to thank the author, publishers and Booksprout for the opportunity to read this ARC and I have reviewed it honestly.

Abby's demons are ravenous. Fighting her inner darkness and traumatic memories, Abby fights for her sanity as she navigates a new school and its savage hierarchy. Kent is one of the KINGS of Sinners High and he's set his sights on Abby. He wants to destroy her, but he also craves her. Beautiful Mess is an intense bully romance with delicious, steamy scenes and an utterly devastating inner darkness. Read at you own risk.

Beautiful Mess features, but is not limited to, the following themes:
○ Contemporary romance
○ New adult
○ Bully romance
○ High school
○ BDSM
○ Self harm
○ Triggers

Triggers include: Self harm, bulimia, suicide attempts, abuse, selective amnesia, bullying and BDSM scenes.

My overall rating for Beautiful Mess is…

4 Stars!

Ok. So this is the first time a trigger has affected me deeply. This is definitely a dark book, more so for some then others. Despite those triggers, I absolutely loved this book. The intensity of Abby's emotions and the self discovery she experiences throughout this book creates an incredible bond between reader, character and author. Adams writes an engaging and dark tale with addictive qualities and attractive characters. I can't wait to explore the rest of the KINGS and their stories.

This book was absolutely amazing!!! I loved every minute while reading this book. It had the right about of dark bully romance I like to read. If you have any triggers you might want to read at your own discretion. It touches on the subjects of rape, abuse, bulimia, suicide and bullying. This is going to be a series of books this being book one. They are the rulers of Sinners High. They are viscous, rich and privileged and what they say goes.

Abby is a beautiful mess like the title says. She has pretty much just been shuffled around until she winds up with a family member. She has been hurt by so many people she feels broken on the inside. She is starting a new school and just wants to blend in not to stick out but ends up the target of the popular boys at school. Especially by one, Kent. He is handsome, rich and Abby thinks that he is the devil himself. He is out to destroy Abby. She brings out a side of him that he has kept hidden but he likes what she does to him. He is her tormentor and her protector.

This book will have you turning the pages so you can know what happens next. The twists and turns had me up all night finishing and then rereading the book the next day. There are a few very hot and steamy scenes that had my heart rate spiking. Melody Adams has gained a new fan and look forward to her future books about this group of boys!!

Wow..... I wish I had something more profound to add, but that’s the first word that comes to mind when I finished. Wow. This book was a high school bully romance, but I have to say it was one of the darkest ones I have read. I wouldn’t say I LOVED this book and plan on reading it again, but I will say the writing was such that it stuck with me when I wasn’t reading it. I was thinking about the book and wondering what next. The author was incredible about keeping you on your seat. This definitely has triggers. If you have any history of anything that might affect you, then I would pass on this book. This book hit them all. As someone who is passionate about mental health and how the mind works, I applaud the author for really delving into cutting and what the draw is for some people. It really explained how cutting helps people deal with emotions or events in their lives. Again, I wouldn’t say GO BUY THIS BOOK because of a happy love story. I would say GO BUY THIS BOOK if you want a deep story that explores the harsh part of high school and how you CAN survive.

I read Beautiful Mess which was a sad, sad story. The heroine was so broken, almost beyond repair that it was heartbreaking. It tugged at the emotional heartstrings. At the end of the story, I really liked how there was some holdout and space before the big redemption scene - it made the book much more realistic.

The major issue I had with this book with how it was written. The lack of contractions (i.e. do not, can not, will not, etc) became so irritating that I debated putting the book down and not finish it. The contraction issue, the grammar issues (and there were many), along with the lack of editing is what sunk this book for me. Not to mention, some of the analogies in the book made very little sense.

I think the biggest thing between the two stars I gave the writer and earning the 5-star rating that I'd like to give is the editorial errors. It makes it so hard to read when you have to keep stopping and rereading sections just to make them make sense.

I received an advanced review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. Thank you to the publisher and the author for the arc.

I decided to try an erotica bullying book for the first time and see if it was to my taste.... Unfortunately, it wasn't.

I did read the trigger warnings before starting the book but it was still a bit surprising to see how some characters acted and how unrealistic some scenes were.
The only character that feels genuine and real is Bonnie and I loved her.
The rest of the characters felt like prototypes and when they were made they had a few set of characteristics of their own but that's that. They don't go beyond that.

However one thing that I liked was the ending and how Abby's mental health was taken care of and that she was seeing a therapist to help her get past her trauma.

All of the KINGS felt sort of the same to me with Sean being the exception.

Overall this book was definitely not for me and that's no ones fault. To each their own.

Whew! What a ride. This book definitely has some triggers and the author does not shy away from them. I would have enjoyed more time and detail on the h's healing from past trauma, but overall it was handled okay. I really liked when the H would switch from tormentor to protecting Abby when she was triggered.

I liked the group of the KINGS. They were each memorable and not photo copies of the same character. I'm looking forward to all their books, but especially Gregory's!

This was definitely a 4 star read, however the way one POV began by repeating the last paragraph or so from the previous POV did get a little repetitive.

The main characters showed good growth by the end and I was not at all disappointed with the ending.

I was so excited to read this book.  It was was different than the typical bully genres that I have read in the past.  This writer is extremely talented and really draws you into the center of the characters minds and thoughts.  I went into this blind so I didn't know if it was a reverse harem or a high school bully romance  ( its the ladder). This particular novel focuses on the relationship between Kent and Abby as they struggle with the in's and outs of lies,  deception,  murder,  revenge and loyalty.  I'm so impressed by the way that thd author was able to navigate the characters POV, and the heavy subjects that were involved in this project.  I can't wait for the next books to come.

This was a fast paced dark bully romance with lots of triggers!! We have an anti hero Kent and a very naive and damaged Abby. The characters were brilliant and well developed, I actually liked the fact that the author concentrated on the actual plot which was well thought out and executed!
I don't want to give spoilers away, but I will say it was action packed, full of emotion with some disturbing scenes that in my opinion really highlights the impact of bullying rather than skating over it like some authors do!
I really can't wait to read more from this author especially books on the other 'Kings'!!

One of the best books I have read in a while. There are elements of darkness such as cutting and an eating disorder so if those are triggers for you then I would skip this one. However this was masterfully written and amazing from start to finish.

I really liked the story of Abby and Kent. It was very intense and emotional. The story was exciting and the reader gradually learned more of Abby's tragic story. The book is self-contained and each book is dedicated to one of the five KINGS. I'm already looking forward to the rest of the books!

I'm not entirely sure where to start or how to format this review. I give the book 1.5 stars and rounded it up to 2 only because the ending was decent. Unfortunately, my main problem was the main characters, which is unfortunate.

Abby
Abby's part time job is apparently a detective since she can tell that Seth’s heart was broken even though she’s only been at the school for one week. This is not only an Abby trait, but some of the characters seem to be magical mystics in how they analyze things. Their powers of deduction are Sherlock levels, with out the deduction. It's like they can just read each other's mind! Abby's growth was the only positive attribute in the book. . She's got a huge case of not like other girls-ism. Every guy likes her, but she's semi tough and can wrangle a snake. . I think that Abby's self harm scene were done poorly. I know that it was meant to show how she feels and to help us sympathize with her, but I think there was a slight glorification of self harm from Abby's point of view. I'm not sure how it could have been written better though.

Kent
Jesus Christ. What a guy. If Abby is a detective, Kent is a straight up psychic. There is no other way that he could have come up with analysis of Abby without straight up reading her mind. Kent also contradicts everything that he does. . He just seems like a middle school boy. He calls his dick "Mr. D" which was very distracting and just odd. It threw me out of the book every time he did.

Bethany
I know this is fiction and everything is fake but Bethany just seems too fake and too evil. She also would have never gotten away with the stunts she pulled. . Everything about Bethany was confusing. Kent questions why (too many times in my opinion) Nate is dating Bethany and I think everyone is also wondering too.

All in all this book was not for me. This will not however stop me from reading the next books. Plenty of series have a weak first book but the sequels get better. I do not look forward to hearing snippets about Lilian for the next five books though. I also feel really bad to the Aunt. I hope she gets the therapy she needs and she gets her own HEA.

What a mess
After the death of the mother Abby was going to live with her auntie and her cousin and Abby didn’t wanna be here. Her cousin Beth was evil and made Abby‘s life hell. She would make up lies about Abby to make her look bad. And as soon as she walked in she could tell that Beth hadn’t changed one bit. She had two boys with her, you could tell one was her boyfriend but the other boy was very handsome. Abby was going to keep herself to herself and just get through this so she could get out Of this place and goes to college.
Kent was one of the kings. At sinner's high there was a system and that was, that the Kings would handle discipline. Oh and before I forget Kings stands for K for Kent I for Ian N for Nate G for Gregory and S for Seth. These guys were privileged, they were rich but they were also vicious. Beth Was dating Nate and asked the Kings to punish Abby as she was evil but they would do nothing until they had evidence. So Beth got evidence that left them no choice. Nate decided that it would be Kent to discipline and punish Abby.
Kent was a use and move on kinda guy, he had no need for a girlfriend when most of the girls at school were happy and willing to let him use them. But he was having feelings for Abby which he didn’t understand and it was playing with his head. But it would not stop him from making her pay for what she done to Beth. Even when he was with someone else his thoughts were with Abby it really left him feeling guilty. But guilty for what?? guilty for using the girl while he was thinking of Abby or guilty for being somebody else other than Abby??
Abby could not believe how her life had turned to hell. Beth had tricked everyone into believing what happened was down to her And now she had to put up with Kent and he was making her life a living hell. Abby has had the worst start to her life like you wouldn’t believe. she’s used to everything going wrong. Could she handle this??
I made the silly mistake of thinking I will read a few chapters of this before I go to bed well let me tell you at 3:30 this morning when I finish this book I was still wide-awake I could not put this book down !!! It was addictive, it was horrendous it was vicious and my heart went out to Abby it really really did. this poor girl who’s done nothing but be used and abused in the worse ways but still she standing. I didn’t know how I felt about Kent till the very end listening to his story but the way he treated Abby is so wrong and it broke my heart. I was so glad they found a friend in bonnie who you would never think would be there for Abby but I really hope we hear about her in future books because I think she’s an amazing girl. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series. Absolutely amazing but not for the faint hearted.

I’m still trying to recover, this book is intense like few others.
It deals with topics as hard and dark as abuse, rape, bulimia, borderline disorder, bullying and suicide. All experienced by the h, Abby, who for me is a true warrior to have survived everything that has happened to her in her short life.
Abby goes to live with her aunt and her cousin Beth ( crazy and a true bitch) and meets Beth’s boyfriend Nate and his friends, the Kings of Sinners High School, and among them is Kent, who will play the role of tormentor and hero for Abby in this story.
Beth lies and manipulates the Kings and they decide to punish Abby and Kent will be the one to deliver the punishment . But as Kent punishes her, he will discover new sides and secrets of Abby that will make his feelings change towards her.
They both share a taste for pain and Kent teaches her to feel pleasure from it as well. Their relationship is somewhat twisted, seeing above all how everything ends after Kent gives her the final blow, although he regrets it.
Of course it is a book that will not leave you indifferent.
I’m dying to read the other books of the Kings, I want to go back to the halls of this high school and see what else they have in store for us.
EXCELLENT WORK!

"My job?" I asked, turning her around to me. "Yes! To break me! That's what you want to do, isn't it? Because supposedly I cut up Beth's face. Nate told you to make my life hell!" "That's right," I replied, unmoved. "But that doesn't mean I'm going to allow some other asshole to terrorize you or even touch you. You are mine, Abbygirl. Mine to torment. Mine to punish." "I belong to no one, asshole!" Abby hissed. "And for your information, you can't break someone who's already broken!"

"You're wrong, Abby. Everything you do is my business. You are MINE. No one can hurt you but me. Not even you. You want pain? I give you pain."

Always needed her. She was a mess. But she was my beautiful mess.

Cannot recommend

I went into this with eyes wide open. I knew there would be triggers. There are so.many.triggers. I'll list them later for people averse to spoilers. Kent is irredeemable, and that's why I don't recommend the book. He says he cares about her, but he never gave Abby a safe word. He takes her choices away with a lock and key - even after he loves her. He should have anticipated the climax to the story. I mean, duh. Psychopaths gonna psychopath. We should have gotten Aunt Claire's reactions to the revelation and the tragedy of her loss. She seemed like a good person but was not given an ending to her story arc. Abby should have moved away. Why did she come back? Why did Aunt Claire welcome her after the tragedy? It makes no sense. The KINGS are ridiculous. Girls are dirt to them. They're brutal, vicious mobsters that rule the school. They see nothing wrong with beating people unconscious. The one who grabs throats is a future murderer. Not saying who that is. It's a toxic group addicted to sex, alcohol, power, and pain. No real softness to them. They aren't sexy. They're sadists. So, now for the list of trigger warnings/plot spoilers:
Murder
Suicide
Forced abortion
Rape
Molestation
Psychological torture
Cutting
Suicide ideation
Sexual assault
Captivity
Bullying
Alcohol
Drugs
Foul language
Animal abuse
Physical assault
Predation
Kidnapping
Bulimia
Underage sex
Unsafe sex
Forced penetration
Anal penetration
x
It's like a "let's see how many triggers we can put in here" novel. It starts to be absurd. Finally I think the author is British. The book is set in the States, right? We don't have lounges. We have dens and family rooms. We also don't talk like these characters, especially Beth. I laughed at one point because it was so over-the-top dramatic for an American. Something like, "She will see my revenge, and deservedly so!" LOL wait, what? Yeah, no. Don't read it.

The title to this book "Beautiful Mess" is very fitting, sums up the book perfectly. I loved the dual POV from both Kent and Abby and it really made this an twisted, emotional, heartbreaking, dark and gritty read that gets you totally invested and has such an impact you think about this book long after you are done reading it.

Though there are many triggers in the book, what impacts and holds the reader's attention is the raw and gritty emotions experienced mostly by Abby and her fight to overcome her emotional baggage by accepting professional help is inspiring, especially when she comes out stronger after all of the torment and abuse she was dealt in her childhood as well as from her cousin Beth and the KINGS.

The only aspect that bothered me was the fact that the KINGS with the exception of Kent, never really apologized or asked for her forgiveness, for the public humiliation, torment and punishments that they agreed to have Kent use in order to break Abby. They just expected that she gave it since they started to show her a bit of respect since Kent "owned" her and started being nicer to her especially after finding out she was innocent. They show some redemption when they tried to look out for her and eventually announced that anyone calling her names will answer to them.

Kent does redeem himself when he protects her from her crazy cousin Beth and the rest of the KINGS were there to support Abby afterwards, redeeming themselves a bit. I would have liked to see some interaction from the other KINGS to clean the air and maybe even some groveling especially after kidnapping her and forcing her to face Kent. It was a dark read that captivates you and doesn't let go even after you are done reading the book.

This book was a giant trigger all around in all kinds of things. If you have any kind of triggers, please don't read this, since it has a wide variety of it and it isn't contained to just one scene or chapter. It was interesting but it was not for me. The lead female was strong but weak, faking her way through life and then getting stuck paying for things she didn't do. It was hard to read and I barely could stomach the way her cousin treated her. It was a good read but I wouldn't read it again nor would I read anything else from this author. This was dark and mean and unfair and you should be prepared. Should you choose to read this book, don't expect it to be mildly dark, but incredibly twisted and suspenseful all around.

Abby has come back to the house that once haunted her. Her worst nightmare, her cousin hasn't change and still looks for any way she can torment her. She will go as far as to injure herself and pretend Abby did it in order to alienate her from the rest of the school. Abby has issues of her own. She's struggling but she's an incredible actress and will do anything she can to hide her weaknesses. Beautiful Mess was my first book by Melody Adams and it is safe to say that I am hooked to the writing. This book is a dark bully romance set in a high school. The book touches on topics that might be triggering ( rape, bulimia, suicide, and bullying) so please read at your discretion.
Beautiful Mess is the first in a series of books with the male MC being a part of the rulers of Sinners High.
Abby has just joined Sinners High and is trying not to stick out too much because of her past experiences. She manages to do the exact opposite and ends up as the target for the popular people at school, especially Kent. Kent is hellbent on destroying Abby and she brings out a side that few see in him. He has a dominant side that Abby brings out.
Pacing: 4/5 The book seemed to move at a moderate pace but personally I
would have liked for it to be slower.
Steam: 4.5/5 The steamy scenes were fantastic and easy to follow what was going
on.
Pov: Dual This helped understand what was going through the H and h's minds and understand why they reacted the way they did.
There could have been a bit more on the h's healing but otherwise, the book was a good, quick read.

I cannot wait to read more books from Melody Adams and I am looking forward to seeing the stories of the other KINGS.

So when the author gives a trigger warning in the beginning, there is no real way to prepare you for the story you are about to experience. I found this book to touch on so many situations that young adults and teens are dealing with today. It was a real eye opener. As you are reading about Abby and what she is going through, you can feel her pain and you also see her strength. You can see the pain of her past, the hurt of the now, the way she finds escape from it all. This is how she copes with the world she is in. The world of mean girls, bullying, a tormentor and her nightmares. Then there is Kent, before Abby he thought he knew his path. He never questioned such choices before; things such as bullying and now he is having a moral dilemma or maybe he has found a reason to turn his behavior around. So as you watch their story unfold you also get to experience how Abby copes being at the mercy of the mean girl and being relentlessly bullied. Seeing the effects it has on her and the ultimate toll it takes. Some are not as fortunate as she...You will have to read and see how Abbys story ends as I am sure it is one that will surprise you. I think this is a such a well written book that shares so many eye openers about things young adults face. It is a definite must read.

This is a very dark ‘triggers galore’ high school bully romance.
I love a good bully romance and dark at that but this pushes the boundaries on dark.
To say Abby had a hard life is an understatement. She has experienced sexual assault throughout her young life. She moves in with her aunt and cousin Beth who despises her and makes her life hell at the new school. She hates her so much she fakes a knife attack on her from Abby all so her boyfriend and his friends who rule the school will go after Abby.
Kent is one of these boys called The Kings and they are brutal! His friend Nate is Beths boyfriend and even though they all know Beth is a lying conniving bitch, they believe Abby attacked her.
Kent is tasked to break Abby!
Even though he can see in her reactions that she has been a victim of sexual assault he still is full steam ahead. He knows she has scars from self harming and a suicide attempt and yet he continues with his task to beak the already broken girl. What he didn’t expect was to develop feelings for her.
If you like your bully romance as dark as night this is for you. 4/5

Abby woke up in the hospital after suicide attempt. She moved in with her aunt after the death of her mother. After years of depression and nightmares Abby was a cutter and bulimic. Only through pain could she chase away her darkness.

Kent was a member of the KINGS. They controlled the high school and were also the legal system of the school and held court twice a week in the cafeteria. If you were wronged they dealt justice and their punishments were severe.

The storyline of this book is very dark and captivating. The characters are amazing. There are so many triggers in this story, but the story is so well written that you can fill the pain and suffering. Abby has been through so much in her short life and the jealousies of her cousin finally put her over the edge.

I highly recommend this book, but warn there are many social and mental triggers. I look forward to reading more by Melody Adams.

First of all I would like to say that the subject matter Abby had had to deal with during her life was dealt with sympathetically and factualy and the author must have done some in depth research to make Abby the girl she was portrayed. I did have some sympathy for Kent and the torment he was going through having to be the bully but he did realise that he had feelings for Abby. Beth was a b***h and a thoroughly nasty person and manipulated the boys with her lies. A very sexy romance underlying the bullying was super sexy. A very emotional connection between Abby and Kent. Very good and complex characters added to their story and I cannot wait for the rest of the Kings to have their stories. It looks like this is going to be a cracker of a series.
