Kelly Hunter Magic, I just know when I pick up a Kelly Hunter book that I am going to fall in love with the hero and heroine and be totally swept up in a gorgeous romance that is sure to have the emotions flowing and this one does so with bells on, come along and meet, interior designer Madeline Love and building constructor Seth Casey in a Christmas winter wonderland in Marietta, Montana.

It is Madeline’s twenty fifth birthday and she is supposedly meeting her Wall Street father for lunch but instead of lunch she is given the deeds to the ranch that holds happy and sad memories for Madeline it is where she spent the first eleven years of her life until everything changed. It is October so Madeline invites her father for Christmas and she plans on doing up the ranch to bring it back to its glory but she needs help in a builder this is when she meets Seth Casey and this is where her life again will change.

Seth has had dreams of owing the Love ranch for many years his family already lease the land for their cattle but it is the house that Seth wants and now he finds out that Madeline owns it and plans to restore it and he is more than happy to help just to make sure that it is done the way he thinks it should, interior designers have not always been his favourite people, but getting to know Madeline changes his mind on lots of things.

This story is witty, romantic and just beautiful as Madeline finds her real self back on the ranch, she is shy and quiet but spending time with Seth finds her opening up and finding true happiness and Seth the strong handsome and fabulous hero who is there for Madeline as she never stops trying and giving love. I loved this story so much, it made me smile and cry as Seth and Madeline find such love and happiness. This is a must read story, one that I highly recommend and of course who doesn’t love a Christmas story.

My thanks to the author for my digital copy to read and review

I woke up in the middle of the night, saw this was available and started it and before I knew it I was done! Do not recommend fucking up your sleep patterns like that, but do recommend the book. The heroine has a truly heinous father, but despite that is open and giving and open to suggestions, particularly when they are coming from the hero who insists that everyone only gets one favor despite the favors going on forever. The way that he opens up his life to the heroine and the way that she steps into it is really lovely. I really do mean it about the awful father, though, so if that's not something you can deal with right now, I would steer clear of this book. But otherwise, if you want a very wholesome Christmas story, give this a look.

I’ve read and enjoyed a few of Kelly Hunter’s romances in the past (in fact, her Harlequin Presents duet Claimed by a King was so good that I bought physical copies to go with my e-copies) so I was fairly confident that I’d find a lot to like in her latest, Must Love Christmas, part of her Montana Bachelors and Babies series. And I was right! It’s a sweet, low-heat romance that within the first two chapters I could envision as a Hallmark Christmas special. Indeed, I’ve noticed that several romances from the Tule publishing line have in fact made it into the pantheon of holiday romances you can find on TV. If this one does end up on the bigger screen, I’ll definitely be setting my PVR for it.

Madeline Love is an interior designer whose career is just starting to take off. Her relationship with her wealthy father is complicated and has been distant ever since her mother’s passing – at the family ranch in Montana – from cancer when Maddie was young. On her twenty-fifth birthday, she finds out that the ranch, abandoned since her mother’s death, is part of her inheritance from her mother – an inheritance she’d never heard about before. Her memories of the ranch are mixed, but the Christmas ones are her favourite. In a flurry of nerves and excitement she invites her father to spend Christmas with her there, and he agrees, while dropping the bombshells that he has a seven-year-old son (a brother she never knew about!) and a fiancée, both of whom he will bring with him. With that, Maddie finds herself heading to Montana to see her ranch – and finds out she’s not the only one interested in her property.

Seth Casey comes from a large ranching family – too large for him and his four brothers to amicably run things together – and as a result he’s branched off on his own and made a prosperous construction company. His specialty in restoration and renovations means a rich and varied clientele, but seeing the Love ranch sitting empty and going to ruin, has prompted several purchase offers from him over the past few years, to no avail. When Maddie Love comes waltzing onto the property he’s been surreptitiously fixing up on the outside (wishing he could get at the inside) and announces that she’s the new owner, he’s hoping the amount of repair work he’ll scare her with will have her turn tail, sell it to him, and head back to the big city where’s she from. But things don’t quite work out that way. Something about Maddie makes Seth want to help her and he offers to do her one favour (one only, no exceptions). Yet that one favour stretches pretty far. And the friendship between Maddie and Seth soon turns into something more. Can the ranch become a home filled with happy memories again?

This is book 3 in Kelly Hunter's Montana Bachelors and Babies series. While this stands well on its own, the books are best enjoyed in order starting with, Must Love Babies.

I continue to enjoy how these stories are a quick, but well developed listen. Not super angsty. I've enjoyed them all, but this might be my favorite. Seth Casey's crushed to learn that the seemingly abandoned ranch he's always wanted buy is now occupied. Madeline recently discovered she'd inherited the home and land.

Loved this story of the architect and the interior designer working together on a property that hold special meaning to them both. And finding more with each other. Town gossip and Madeline's family threaten their happiness. I enjoyed Seth and Madeline as individual characters and as a couple. I loved their HEA.

Hunter's website says Book 4 is in progress and I'm keeping my fingers crossed it's Mason's book.

Narration:
I loved Amy McFadden's narration. She brings Madeline & Seth to life and her portrayal of several of the secondary characters completely cracked me up. This whole series was easy to binge and I can't wait for more.

This was so cute 😍

On her 25th birthday, Madeline inherits the home her mother and grandmother lived their final days in. So many memories were made there and she’s wanting to create new ones with her father and his new family. Seth has wanted the ranch for years.. he makes an offer every year and is always turned down. Now he’s helping her with anything she may need and he doesn’t know why.

I loved the chemistry between Madeline and Seth. He is so sweet even though he tries to pretend he isn’t. Neither are afraid to take risks or out themselves out there. The entire family aspect of the story was amazing - both good and bad. I loved everything about this.

There is so much more to this story than just romance. Highly recommend!

What a charming, heartwarming story this is! Must Love Christmas is a short story but it packs plenty into it thanks to Kelly Hunter’s skill as a storyteller. Her characters are so realistic that you can feel their pain and their joy. There’s a bit of both in this story, as Madeline Love, daughter of a self-absorbed Wall Street billionaire, learns what it means to have family. I loved the Casey family’s thanksgiving celebrations and the way they welcomed her once it was clear that Seth had fallen for her. This book brought me lots of happy smiles and is sure to end up on my keeper shelf.
I read the book, which is the third in the Casey Brothers trilogy, some years ago when it first came out and loved it then, I love it all over again having just listened to the audiobook, which is expertly narrated by Amy McFadden.

Must Love Christmas continues the Montana Bachelors & Babies series with a delightful, emotional story that’s perfect for the Christmas season (or any time of the year).

Madeline’s life took an unexpected turn when her father handed over the deed to the family ranch while announcing his impending marriage to a younger woman. She’s convinced that she’ll be left behind when he begins his new life with a new wife. So the idea of bringing the ranch house back to its former glory and holding the family Christmas celebration on the (soon to be) newly, shiny ranch has taken root and won’t be denied. Little did she know that life was about to hand her another surprise in the form of architect Seth – who had his own dreams about one day owning that ranch for his own reasons.

I always enjoy Kelly Hunter’s stories and Must Love Christmas hits just the right notes as we watch a quiet, shy woman see her life change drastically by both her father and the new man in her life. I loved watching her growth through their story, change isn’t always easy but it is so often well worth it in the end. Seth is complicated, with a history swirling around the land and the ranch that Madeline now owns. They will clash over some things, yet they’ll also grow as each begins to see another point of view that brings possibilities into their lives. I enjoyed being back in this world at Christmas time (or any time really). If you love a complicated situation with a simple resolution, watching two unlikely people find love together, and a really good Christmas romance then you’ll want to pick up this story or this entire series right now.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*

Marvelously mature characters/couple. A few odd scenes that don’t seem likely (but one of which was quite funny). And a bit predictable ending in terms of her familial relationships (almost too sweet).

‘Must Love Christmas’ is the story of Seth and Maddie and, like all Kelly Hunter’s books, it’s loads of fun, as well as being delightfully romantic and filled with a cast of wonderfully appealing characters.

Maddie is the daughter of an extremely wealthy but emotionally distant father. Her happy childhood came to an abrupt end with the death of her much-loved mother when she was 11 and she now lives in New York City where she’s building a career as an interior designer.

On her 25th birthday, Maddie’s father drops two bombshells: that he’s been less-than-open with her about his personal life and plans for the future and that she’s inherited from her mother the ranch she loved as a child. So, with Christmas on the horizon, Maddie travels to Montana to investigate her inheritance with a view to creating the perfect Christmas for her newly-enlarged family.

Seth is part of a large and happy family and has long loved the ranch that’s now Maddie’s. Helping her put the ranch in order before Christmas is a labour of love for Seth who soon has his family and team on board with the project. But where does Maddie see her future?

I was delighted to receive an advance copy of ‘Must Love Christmas’ in exchange for this honest review.

I received this arc of Must Love Christmas by Kelly Hunter from Tule Publishing in exchange for an honest review. It was nice to return to Marietta Montana at Christmas. In the book we meet Madeline Love. Her family has a lot of money but she is all alone. She works as an interior designer at an exclusive shop in NYC where her boss is like a mother to her. Her mother died at their ranch in Marietta when Maddie was 11. Her dad left her in the care of her mom’s nurse and she had to watch her mom pass away alone. Her dad sent her to boarding schools and was not there to comfort her in person over the years. She tried so hard to get his attention but he is always too busy to see her. Finally on her 25th birthday she goes to her dad’s office for her annual birthday visit and he tells her it is in her mom’s will that she has inherited the ranch in Montana. He expects she will sell it as she won’t be able to keep it up.

Maddie decides to go to Montana to see the ranch and fix it up. It has sat there untouched since the day her mother died and her dad moved her to New York. Her boss suggests she use her decorating skills to update and renovate the home. The neighboring ranch belongs to the Casey family. The son, Seth has his own contractor business and has wanted to buy the Love ranch. He has been working and saving in the hopes the father would sell it to him. When Maddie arrives she meets Seth and he lets her know there’s no electricity and a storm is due to dump more snow on them. He is wary of her, being a city girl in Montana on a ranch all alone. He decides to help her and also checks on things without letting her know.

Maddie isn’t sure what her plans are for the house when she first arrives. Once the utility work is handled she talks to Seth about what she wants done to the house’s interior. He is afraid she will ruin it but she has tasteful ideas. She is busy going through her moms and grandmother’s things. He dad tells her that he plans to spend Christmas there one last time. So she enlists the aid of the Casey’s and others she meets while in town to get as much done as possible. Seth and Maddie spend a lot of time together and both are developing feelings for the other. There are some surprises that we learn about. The characters are all so warm and genuine. It is a feel good romance that I highly recommend and give 5 stars. Kudos to Kelly for a great story and wonderful descriptions of the furnishings and scenery.

Can they put their differences aside in order to make this a Christmas to remember?
This is Madeline Love and Seth Casey's story.
“Morning, Lila.” Madeline Love, only offspring of Wall Street moneymaker Jonas Love, tried to glide rather than rush toward the skyscraper’s bank of private elevators.
“Is it midday yet?” “Two minutes to go.” The elevator doors opened, and Lila put out her arm to keep them that way until Madeline got in.
“Great outfit. Love those colors on you.”
It wasn’t the hat that made Seth Casey a cowboy at heart— even though he wore his proudly.
It wasn’t that he was the third son of five, or that he hailed from a well-respected ranching family or that the raising of cattle was second nature to him.
No, what made him a cowboy was the stubbornly independent streak that had landed him a carpentry apprenticeship at seventeen, much to the relief of his family who didn’t have any ranch work left for their third son to see to.
I recommend reading.
Must Love Christmas by Kelly Hunter is a wonderful well written 5 star book.
I am looking forward to reading more books Kelly Hunter.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

This was a quick enjoyable read. I liked the storyline and the main characters, Maddie and Seth. Everything moved along rather quickly and seamlessly.

Maddie is a wealthy heiress and an interior designer. On her 25th birthday she finds out that she has inherited her mother’s family estate. Thinking this was long since sold, she decides It is her perfect opportunity to start over and prove to herself and her father (who is awful by the way) that she can be successful on her own.

Seth has had his eye on the Love Estate for years. A successful contractor, his heart has ached watching this structure deteriorate. He keeps his eye out on the property out of respect for the home, but also in hopes that one day it will be his. He never expected a long lost family member to show up and claim the home, especially in its current condition.

Maddie and Seth start out on opposite sides, but soon they start to bond over the appreciation of the property. There is constant doubt in each other’s intentions and that is mainly due to their past relationships. Hers with her father and his with an ex. They eventually open up to each other, but the journey there was a little tiring. I liked them together, but there were a lot of secondary characters that took a little too much space in their story…⭐️⭐️⭐️

From the description it sounds like Must Love Christmas would be a poor little rich girl story. In the hands of Kelly Hunter this third book in the Montana Bachelors and Babies Series it is much better than that. Heiress Madeline Love wants to recreate Christmas memories from years ago. Life is full of change for her with little of it exactly what she would choose. However, neighbor to the ranch in question architect Seth Casey does not envision the same changes to the historical Montana home. Of course, conflict is to come but that is part of the interest in this story.

Must Love Christmas is an enjoyable story of compromise, love and understanding that new memories can be as great as old ones. The characters are not perfect but likable. A seasonal romance with a dose of family thrown in to spice it all up.

An ARC of the book was given to me by Tule Publishing which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I have not read any of the other books in this series but if they are as fun as this one then I know I am missing out. I loved Savannah she wants what's best for her kids no matter what and she loves them fiercely. With out giving anything away I liked how the author kept things real there was no big "misunderstanding" I liked how even though Maddie comes from money the characters felt very real and very much like you are catching up with friends. Seth and his only "one favors" made me laugh because at first it didn't make since and made you go hmmm but once the author disclosed the meaning behind it, it felt more like a inside joke between the characters. Overall this story was super cute and a fun read. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

This book was all sweet no angst or couple drama. Heroine is daughter of super rich dad who has had NO time for her since her mom died when she was 11 yrs old. She is now 25 yrs old and just finds out her mom left her a ranch in Montana. Her dad also mentions he has a 7 yr old son from different woman and is newly engaged to a different woman. She is gobsmacked... never has he told her any of this, she has a half brother she never met and a ranch that has been just as abandoned as she has been for 14 yrs.
She determines to fix the ranch to it's former glory as her dad promises to come for Christmas with the little half brother. She hires local cowboy/contractor who is best in town to help her. He turns out to be a real sweet, charming, sexy, no bullshit guy and falls for her too.
Short but sweet Christmas miracle story.

Seth has always wanted to buy the abandoned Love Ranch and rehab it for as long as he can remember. Instead of finding out it is for sale it turns out the rich girl who inherited it is there for Christmas. Madeline Love has painful memories of her mother's death in house where her happiest childhood memories were made. Now she has to pull off the perfect family Christmas for her father and his new family. Their relationship has been strained to say the least and this is her last effort with him. When she enlists Seth's help to update and clean up the house he is all in. He still wants to own the house one day. The more time he spends with her he gets to know the real woman behind the Love name and the opinion her formed of her before he met her. Sparks fly making this a Christmas they won't forget. Good read.

What a lovely surprise.

I got this book from bookbub, an author I haven’t read previously.

It’s the story of Maddy, a heiress who on her 25th birthday inherits an old family ranch. As no one has lived there or been there for many years her father merely expects her to sell it. However, as her occupation is an interior designer, she decides to take on the challenge and make it her home.

Seth is a local builder who’s families ranch borders Maddies. He’s been offering to buy the property for as long as he can remember and so he’s taken aback when Maddie comes along and employs him and his team to make the house habitable, so she can live there.

There relationship is lovely and I love the banter between them.

What a lovely feel good book.

Definitely recommend

Seth and Maddie

Sweet Christmas love story that will leave with a sigh and a good feel. Seth is the middle son of 5 boys and a Montana rancher with a widowed mother. Maddie is an heiress whose mother died years ago and left her a beautiful abandoned ranch that was gifted to her on her 25th birthday. There was never much family for Maddie since her mother died. Her father was distant and absent. But as Seth helps her bring her old abandoned beautiful ranch to life, a spark begins and the sweet relationship grows. The characters are warm and well developed. This story unfolds at just the right pace to kept
You interested. Can’t wait to see what the author has in store for the two other unmarried brothers. Loved this sweet story!

It is a near Marietta story … and I do love Marietta. But, it has extremely little to do with Marietta. That’s ok, it is a very heartwarming story. Seth’s family is just what the doctor has ordered for the 25 yr old Heiress who has just found out she inherited a Montana ranch from her mom. It has been abandoned since her mom’s death when she was 11. This is her story as she meets and falls in love with the nearby 3rd son of a neighbor ranch who has gone into construction cause his 2 older bros are all the ranch needs. She hires him to bring the ranchhouse back to life and up to her interior designer standards. It is a delightful Christmas love story and family story. It is a clean story.

5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was so good! This was freebie I picked up through Boobbub and my expectations weren’t high since there weren’t a lot of ratings but let me tell you…This book was amazing. I very rarely cry. In over 350+ books I’ve read so far this year I’ve cried a handful of times. In those handful of time it’s been at the end of the book. This one had me tearing up at 22%. I have literally thousands of books to read on my Kindle and I borrow from Libby and the library, I kind of have a no buying books policy in effect for the most part. Even with that, I bought the first book in this series because this one was that good.

I really HOPE the author is going to write Mason and Cara’s story. I need it!!! Like, now. Second chances is one of my favorite tropes. Please.

Kelly Hunter’s third book, Must Love Christmas, in the Montana Bachelors and Babies series is rife with subtle humor and under currents of tenderness. The characters’ personalities are authentic, bringing multiple layers and dimensions to the story. I thoroughly enjoyed the gentle banter between Maddie and Seth, as well as the spirited banter amongst the Casey brothers.

This definitely a story that touched my heart with its genuineness and deeply felt emotions. I’m anxious to see what Ms Hunter has in store next.

This ARC book was complimentary, provided by the Publisher. I am voluntarily providing my honest review.

She's visiting her Dad for a birthday treat
But he's busy as usual, she admits defeat.
But a surprise inheritance brings back memories, too,
She needs to visit the family ranch and decide what to do.

She was eleven when her mother died,
Her Dad's had no time for her though she's tried.
This secret inheritance and Christmas, too,
Gives her new opportunities and things to do.

For Seth Casey the ranch is the home of his dreams
Neglected for fifteen years, still isn't for sale it seems
So when the heiress comes and finds him there
He's soon involved in completing repairs.

He wants to own the ranch, as everyone knows,
But he still help Maddie and the attraction grows.
How can he convince her his romance is true,
Can she trust him? What should she do?

A story where one family is supportive and kind
The other where time together they never can find.
A story where romance can help them both heal
And where family love is given, not part of a deal.

With new friendships and so much to learn
Perhaps they'll find that for which they both yearn!
A lovely, festive Montana based romance
I'm really glad I gave it a chance!

Madeline and Seth

Madeline's mother died when she was 11. Since then her wealthy father put her in boarding school. He was a busy man. Too busy for his daughter. No matter how hard she tried. Today was her 25th birthday they were going out to lunch. Except again he was too busy. But he told her a out the farm she had inherited from her mother.
Seth had loved this house. He had tried to buy it. Now he finds Jonas Love was not the owner. He hoped she would get tired of it and go back to New York.
What a great story with great characters.

This story is marvelous! Those are the first words that came to mind when I reached The End. I wanted to read this book; I needed to read this book; and, I’m absolutely extra happy that I did read this book. Imagine being alone every Christmas, every birthday and all occasions but have a father that didn’t seem to really see her. Madeline was a strong woman and I loved her. She met every challenge with pride and made this giant house into a home. Thanks for this storyline as it made me smile and love the holiday season.
