Stephen Hastings is a control freak. He’s arrogant. He’s smart as a whip and sexy AF. He has too much money. He’s bossy, and he’s usually right. All I saw were his clear blue eyes, tight butt, and ripped torso. I gladly handed him my V-card that night, ten years ago. I was so stupid. I swore I’d never be that stupid again…
Emmy Barton works for a dry cleaner? Yes, that Emmy Barton—long, blonde hair, bright blue eyes, pretty smile… Sexy little body. Smart mouth. She was the only girl who interested me, but I was leaving to be an officer in the Navy.
Now I’m home, running my business. My life is perfectly ordered until I bump into her, divorced and struggling to make ends meet. I hate seeing her like this. I hate that she married Burt “The Dick” Dickerson. What an a--hole.
She says she hates me, but when we fight, it’s all heat and lust. I won’t leave her this way. She will let me help her and her son. She will stay… It’s a thin line between love and hate, and this line is on fire.

Oh my gosh! This book is a little bit of everything I love in romance! Enemies to lovers, second chance, and a marriage of convenience all rolled up with a couple that set my Kindle on fire! This book left me with all the feels and a serious case of hero worship!
Ten years ago, Emmy Barton gave herself to Stephen Hastings and was casually tossed aside.
Now, divorced and raising her son, Eli, her dreams have changed from those of that girl so long ago. All she wants now is to find a cure for the seizures that rule her son’s life. The last thing she needs is Stephen Hastings reappearance.
”Cringing, I know I’ve made a critical error. I actually thought I was over this guy. I actually thought I was in control. I was a fool. And I was so, so wrong. This is Stephen Hasting we’re talking about, my kryptonite.”
Stephen has never forgotten that night with Emmy. Through the years it’s been a recurring memory. When he sees her again he’s determined to see even more of her. Emmy may be stubborn, but Stephen is relentless and soon he realizes nothing matters except having her in his life after their expiration date.
”I couldn’t relax in the cab home from Emmy’s place last night. Sexual frustration was part of it, but also thinking of her in that apartment clenched my jaw. It’s cramped and dangerous. The location is bad, and it’s not enough space for Eli. Hell, what if he had a seizure? He could hit his head on any number of objects if he fell in that rattrap. Emmy’s resistance nags at the back of my mind. Why won’t she stop fighting and do what I say?”
I can’t even express how much I loved Stephen! From the first moment they reconnected, his sole purpose was to have Emmy, to make Emmy his, and to make Emmy stay.
The fact that with each step along the way he’s a bit clueless regarding his motivations had me grinning because there was never a doubt that he was all in from the first moment he saw her again. His heart was leading him and for a very smart man, his brain was lagging a bit behind.
There were some pretty intense moments here that had my emotions racing from one extreme to the other. I love when an author can make me feel like that. The chemistry between this couple was absolutely scorching and seriously, I had to crank the A/C down to survive this one. In addition to all the heat, with Stephen’s fierce protective instincts, and the instant connection he had with Eli, I was a swoony puddle of goodness.

4.5 Blue Planet, Dry Cleaning sequined Stars!!!!!!!
Oh how I loved this book😍
You take enemies, throw in a kid with an illness, a bastard of an ex husband and some hot sex and I’m SOLD!!!!!!
Emmy Barton had loved Stephen Hastings since she was a girl! They had grown up together and in one night before he left to join the Navy and she was about to start college she took a chance on her feelings and was left devastated!
Fast forward 10years, an ex and a little boy later and Stephen is riding in on his white horse with his sword drawn ready to defeat anything that gets in their way!!! He was sooooo swoon worthy!!!!!
Eli, Emmys son, made this for me (along with the hot sex😉). He was such a little boy wonder♥️He loved Blue Planet and was a lil genius with a slight little problem that made Emmy do what she did🤫no spoilers! The conversations between him and his mom and Stephen were just precious!
Here we have two people who have lost everyone in their families but a brother and an aunt and are just searching, without knowing, for a family. Stephens childhood was one of wealth without any kind of love other than his housekeeper. Emmys was full of love and loss. They needed each other more than they knew!
This was my first book by this author and I loved how she writes! It’s simple and beautiful and descriptive. I will be reading more for sure!
Though Stay is a stand-alone novel, it features one of the secondary characters I loved from 'Make Me Yours' so I was super excited to read it. Like 'Make Me Yours', this book has the single parent troupe that I love so much!
Stephen Hastings is smart, successful, and single. He's a great guy, but Emmy Barton has been holding a grudge a decade long... Now Emmy is a single mom to an adorable boy who suffers from a serious medical condition, needs help. Stephen has a solution. He wants to help, but Emmy is hesitant to let him. She doesn't know if she can get over their past and trust him, but she'll do anything for her son.
I loved both Emmy and Stephen so much. Emmy was a strong and independent single mom who was doing her best and Stephen was just the man she needed. I adored Stephen and I loved how he stepped up in Eli's life. Their relationship was the best. And that ending- sigh. It was great.
Stay is narrated by Lucy Rivers and Teddy Hamilton. These two do a fantastic job narrating together. I love both of their voices and the audiobook is high quality. I enjoyed listening to this book so much. It was sweet, sexy, and swoony. I definitely recommend if you like the single parent troupe!
4.5 Finding Your Real Stars * * * * 1/2 Spoiler Free Everybody knows to be a teenager sucks. Period. And the essence of the traumas we experience happens to all of us, no matter the place in our society of life. Yes, the traumas may be much more tragic and impactful with those who do not have the leverage of wealth, no doubt. But even the privileged experience pain and it is the personal pain we all carry which marks us.
They say the rich are different and maybe in some ways they are...but when you are a teenager with a miss-directed crush/love for the boy you have always wanted and that one opportunity to act on it, Emmy Barton takes it.
The only problem is Stephen Hastings just came from a situation that broke his heart. The one person he knew he could count on was very sick, riddled with cancer. Stephen mentally vowed to make sure the friends and neighbors would lookout for this amazing woman who was like his own mother. When Stephen decides to drop by a frat party to say goodbye to a number of friends he grew up with, a couple of things fall into place.
A guy who was an idiot and too pushy with a girl gets in his face. The girl is someone he has seen grow up over the years, each of them having lousy role models for relationships and love. He is leaving for the Navy, he is in emotional pain and needs some kind of release...and she is wanting to make everything good for him...
She has certain expectations...He is not in his right headspace...Together they have a serious connection, yet everything becomes something it shouldn't...
Years pass and both of these people are on different paths... Where she was of the wealthy and privileged, married when she thought should, she now is waiting for the cheating ex to sign the divorce papers to make it final. She is living in a sketchy neighborhood with the love of her life, her son. She has worked to make a way in this world surrounded by those who care for her. She is not looking for any handouts but is frustrated and concerned for her son as he has a specific need for an experimental surgery she can't afford.
He has come back from the Navy and has developed into this man who has contracts with the armed services for the computer apps and programs he has developed with his partners. He is buff, sure of himself, and wants to do good for those who have less than he has. His love of his lost friend has pushed him to be involved in the healthcare industry and everything he has worked towards has involved in making it better.
He still has connections with the best part of his family, his aunt. She has sent him to a specific dry cleaner that specializes in beaded gowns. He walks in and is stunned...There is the girl he remembers from so long ago...What is she doing behind the counter of a dry cleaner...She should be involved with an art gallery or something like that. This makes no sense as she was from the same social circle and should be without any issues for finances.
She takes one look at me and lets him and lets him know He Is Unwelcomed...In fact, she finally has it be known, She Hates Him...
Well, when he hears of her plight, see for his own eyes what she is up against and learns of what her adorable son needs...He decides He is her man. And NOTHING is going to stop him from making it happen...That he wants her as much as he did that last time they were together is just another thing he will have to deal with because as much as she hates him, she wants him too.
Oh, My Goodness. This had everything you could want in a story. It had humor, angst, lust, and passion. It had deep feelings and realizations of what transpired and how it impacted everyone. It had the best little kid and Stephen Hastings was MAGNIFICENT.
Our gal Emmy had a difficult road to deal with. She was someone who had this idea of how things were supposed to go and didn't take into consideration the big picture of the moment. It colored everything for her and she carried it for a long time. That not is to say Stephen was not at fault from years ago but sometimes what one thinks is going to be romantic just doesn't happen that way. What we did have from our gal was a strong person who understood the importance of motherhood and sacrifice. She took what life had dealt and made it the best she could.
I will say the writing of this was tailored to give you all the moments you needed. This is Tia Louise's forte. She is a craftsperson who understands pacing, themes, and heart. This had all of that and more. I think Ms. Louise could rewrite the phonebook and make it sexy and a bestseller...lucky for us, she has a more creative mind and gives us books like STAY.
~~~~~ Before Reading ~~~~~ All excited to experience the Tia Louise Syndrome... Strong emotions, sexy times and solid crafting... ❤️💕❤️💕❤️❤️💕❤️💕❤️❤️💕❤️💕❤️❤️💕❤️💕❤️
The set up could seem familiar... With all the right words... To make you want... To draw you in...
A gifted copy was provided by author/publisher for an honest review.
I love this author's writing very much, ate up several of her books and got to this one because the hero was mentioned in another story. So what went wrong?
Well, the immaturity. [that's probably gonna be a mild spoiler ->] The heroine hooked up with the hero, not saying he was her first, powering through pain (somehow still orgasming later) and then getting oh so very hurt by the hero for treating their hook-up like a hook-up it was and walking out right after... And being still pissed at him 10 years later. Hm.
I'm not going to comment on the things that went wrong in the heroine's life in those 10 years, shit happens and who am I to judge. But generally, stuff just made little sense.
The enemies-to-lovers wasn't actually any enemies-to-lovers at all, it was [sex - fast forward 10 years - I hate you - but ohmygodthekissisgood - I'm NOT gonna have sex with you - sex]. Äähm... Okay. There was no build up, no tension, no chemistry... I donno.
There is much more to say but I'm stopping here.
What I liked: little boy Eli and heroine's boss Lou.
PS. Darling Leila, thank you for reading this with me and listening to my talking about all the stuff that bothered both of us.
PPS. I'm still gonna read more by this author, because her writing is addicting and just good.
omg... I'm working on this one now, and you are going to DIE for this book. TO. DIE!!!
It's... ✔️Sexy AF, alpha billionaire ✔️Single mom ✔️Adorable son ✔️Smokin HOT sexytimes ✔️Angst ✔️I will fight for you...
I tell ya, this book has ALL the FEELS!!! It’s HOT, but it's also full of banter, laughs, fights that turn into sex, hugs that turn into sex... Holla!!!
I loved it, it was fast paced and the tropes in this one are just my favorite!Should I say more?? Tia Louise delivers a sexy,hot,sweet,emotional with angst romance!
The sexual tension between Emmy and Stephen was scorching hot!I couldn't get enough of these two!I could feel the tension and intensity between them!They also have some cute and swoon moments.I adored the secondary characters too!
This was a steamy read, exactly what I need it! I highly recommend it to everyone!
You are going to want to hold onto your panties ladies and gentlemen and ejoy the ride of Stephen and Emmy as they burn up the pages. Seriously this is a single mom/second chance romance you don't want to miss. Tia Louise brings in just about everything you want in Stay. You have the sexy. You have a strong female in Emmy who is doing everything she can to help her son. You have a reconnection. You also will have some tear jerking moments. Stay is everything you can ask for and more. I love Stephen and Emmy so much. He can be my hero anytime. I really really loved the bond Stephen forms with Eli. And what about Emmy's son Eli. He will steal your heart something fierce. Stay is a book that needs to be read. You need to experience Emmy, Eli and Stephen for yourself. Fall in love right along with them. I really couldn't get enough of this one. GO ONE CLICKY TODAY.
This author is one of my favorites. Her books are always well written. Sweet. Sexy. Full of romance without a lot of angst, and OW drama. Although there was a smidge of pointless OW drama in this one that my picky ass could have done without (lol). Feisty heroine's and likable (non manwhore) heroes. This book had all that plus the extra addition of an adorable little boy.
It was close to being a 5-Star read for me. What kept it from being perfect (for me) was Stephen himself. Honestly, I am a grudge holding b!tch and I never got past the way he treated her ten years previously. And I never felt like he groveled enough. The fact that he couldn't even figure out why she was pissed off at him was mindboggling to me. Yes, he had #reasons, though none of them were connected to her specifically. He also didn't appear to have given her or the incident much thought since he had been out of the Navy for six years and didn't bother to look her up once. So yea, probably a nitpicky thing to get hung up on since for most of the book he is a sweet hero. However...THIS reader found herself less than 100% enamored by him. (lol) Also, Emmy jumped right back into his arms WAY too quickly for my liking.
Aside from that little niggle the rest of this book was a delight to read. Especially Eli. He was adorable and certainly a huge highlight of this book. Two thumbs up from yours truly.
Stay is everything you will love in a romance story. Enemies to lovers, mixed with a second chance love, a single mom trying to do right by her son who has a brain disorder.
Stephen and Emmy had a one night stand ten years ago and it ended with her being tosses aside. But not divorced and raising her son Emmy is trying to make ends met when she and Stephen see each other again.
I won’t give anything way bc true me you will want to read this book. Stay is definitely on a must read like and I believe it be one of Tia’s best books yet.
This was a sweet, hot, angsty, frustrating, sexy read. Steven Hastings was so damned superior and seemingly above it all, in his old money brownstone, perfect looks and impeccably tailored Armani suits that at first I wanted to knock him down a blow (thus the frustrating). Emma Barton was an upper east side princess living in a tiny east village apartment making ends meet for her absolutely adorable son Elijah, who suffers from an epileptic condition and who she worries about constantly (thus the angsty and some of the sweet). Which leaves the Hot and the Sexy which was whenever these two interacted - it really is a thin line between love and hate sometimes...
Basically, Emma gave her V-card at the last part of the year before going off to college to an unknowing Steven 10 years prior after having been massively crushing on him forever and totally in love with him. Steven on the other hand, was too focused on his inner anger and other circumstances to really pay attention to Emma properly and basically got off and wished her the best only to walk right out as soon as the deed was done.
When he re-enters the picture 10 years later, Emma is divorced, working in a dry cleaners and taking care of her son while dealing with a true 'dick' of an ex. Steven, for the life of him, can't figure out upon first meeting why she seems to hate him so much or how she married said dick in the first place. He does know one thing though, he's attracted as hell to her and he instantly has a soft spot for her son. As he learns more of her life and struggles, he becomes determined to help her and Elijah out and his answer to doing that is a fake marriage to get her son the medical treatment he needs and a hot fake marriage sex-fueled arrangement. Emma goes back and forth with her feelings but in the end the hot and sexy wins out, and boy, do these two have it bad for each other. The side characters, Lulabell and Aunt Bex are great and add humor and colour to the story.
All in all, a great take on second chance romance, hot sexy billionaires and beautiful women with minds of their own.
2,5 stars. I'm very disappointed and VERY angry right now after I've finished this book. One of my mayor triggers is a foundation for this plot.
Why did not author announce that?? This is not a enemies to lovers romance story, the heroine hated this hero like for 5 seconds, and after that it was just sexual activity. Annoying heroine, I was just wondering why did she marry her ex husband in first place?? She was pregnant? But we live in 21 century, it's not necessary to marry because of being pregnant. Hero was ok guy, he was cruel and stupid in the past but he was sugary sweet with heroine and her kid afterward. Faithful both when they reunited. Heroine was a virgin, but she wasn't pinning after hero, she was with other people, she married her ex husband. Hero wasn't a manho before meeting heroine but he had partners for some months
Stay was a really sweet and cute story. I loved seeing how Stephen brought Emmy and Eli into his life without hesitation and getting to see how much he truly cared for them. It wasn't a completely drama free story but for the most part it kept a very fun and light vibe, which I enjoyed. This author is a favorite of mine and I always love her stories, and this one was no different. Definitely a recommended read if you're looking for a book that will keep a smile on your face.
This story gave me a serious book hangover for days! This one has all the feels! I felt hearts breaking. I held my breath during the serious parts (don’t want to give spoilers but you’ll know when you’re there). I could hear the laughter. I could see the glitter, feathers, zippers, and signs at Miss Con-Cleaneality. I could envision the blue room.
Everything about this story is alive. It’s definitely not a typical second chance, enemies to lovers romance! There’s so much more to it.
I just can't get too excited about this book. The best thing about this story was the little boy Eli and the h's boss, former beauty queen Lulabell. The h gives her virginity to her long-time crush against the wall in a bathroom (oh, the romance) and what she sees as a long awaited moment he sees as a quickie before he leaves for the navy in a few hours. So then we have to read about this h who 10 years later is still so mad at him for not fulfilling her childish expectations. He is a commitment phobic billionaire who never wants to marry because of his tragic backstory and daddy issues. In the middle of this is the wonderful 7 year old Eli who has seizures due to a brain disorder. (The h got pregnant after a drunken ONS and married the cheating d-bag father and then divorced.)
They decide a fake marriage is best so that Eli can get the expensive surgery he desperately needs. Then we have pages of "I can't let my feelings get involved because this is only temporary and fake" despite the fact that they are humping like bunnies.
I just couldn't connect with these characters. The H was prepared to divorce as soon as the surgery was over yet was a perfect husband and father. The h never talks to the H about feelings and they don't even consider the impact this will have on the kid or the heartbreak it's going to cause when she eventually leaves. I knew this was going to be predictable but I guess I just lost patience with these 2. While the MCs were interesting and we'll written, I didn't really like their story. They made choices that made no sense to me.
This is my first book by Miss Louise. I am torn between 3 and 4 stars. I round it down to 3 stars. I do like the story. The marriage of convenient but not rom com. The story behind the marriage of convenient is actually will tug your heart. I was expecting full angst and drama. Well the angst and drama is there.
What is missing is the chemistry between the characters. It sounds very stiff and forced. the conversation does not flow nicely. Again it feels forced and cheesy. I want more twist, more drama from the characters. I also feel the character can be developed better.
At the end of the book, I do not hate the book nor I love the book. So I settle with 3 stars.
So, ten years ago Stephen and Emmy hooked up in a bathroom where she lost her v-card and Stephen didn’t realise it!!!! 😮😮😮😮😮 He left for the Navy the day after and today they meet again accidentally. They dine, then make out and after a few days he invites her with her seven years old son to stay with him in his house!!! I wasn’t convinced at all with this insta love of his! 🤔🤔🤔 He hadn’t really got to know Emmy’s son and he wanted ta pay a huge amount of money for the kid’s surgery!!!! 🤕🤕🤕 And the reason he decided to marry her??? Because he couldn’t be in the same room with Emmy where the doctor was explaining to her about her son’s seizure!!! 😲😲😲😲 Sorry, I didn’t enjoy it as much as I wanted to...
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
O.M.G! The attraction, the pull between Stephen and Emmy is e-reader-kindling hot… you could see the steam billowing from the sides… And the emotions boiling up…. so intense… so palpable… It felt so real like I was living in Emmy….arrgh!
But there also are really, REALLY gut-wrenching parts in this story about Eli, Emmy’s son, that made me ugly cry out of compassion. There is so much emotional drama - so vividly described – that as a mother, I felt the torment, pain and inner conflict of a fictitious mother deep inside of me ... What an excellent masterpiece, with so much depth and passion… WOW!
This second chance (kinda), marriage of convenience story had a nice blend of sweet and heat, and there’s a dash of angst that works overall. I will however say that for me this was not an enemies-to-lovers story – the book doesn’t fit within that framework as implied by the ending of the blurb.
Eli was lovely and Stephan’s relationship with him sweet. The spark between Emmy and Stephan was clear from the moment he saw her (both times). Stephan was a bit clueless when it came to his feelings and why he felt so protective of Emmy and Eli, but luckily he does eventually connect the dots.
Emmy’s ex-husband was slime as a ex and father – I did want a piano to drop on him more than once. Him being
An enjoyable light read, which I do see myself re-reading (although I felt like it finished too fast, I wanted more).
I luvd this book so much. I've been dying to get my hands on Stephen Hastings for so long and let me tell you this guy is awesome. He's sexy, arrogant, annoying, confident, protective and a hero. But you can't be mad at him. Stephen does do stupid things but he was younger and had so much weight on his shoulders. This doesn't mean he was right with what he did. He isn't that guy anymore. So when he bumps into Emmy Barton again every that had happened came rushing back. She was even sexier than she was years ago but she hated him and he didn't know why. Emmy better get ready cause she could hate him all she wanted he was goin to work out how to get back into her good books.
Emmy this woman has been through a lot since she last set eyes on Stephen Hastings. He was the guy that broke her heart she thought he was this amazing guy until that night years ago. Now she didn't have time for his games life was already hard she didn't need any more complications. But it was hard when he looks even better than he did all them years ago. Her crush was strong then she needs to keep her distance more than ever now.
The sexual tension between Emmy and Stephen was crazy hot through out this book. After what happened between them Stephen wanted more and Emmy had to fight it. This second chance enemies to lovers story was so sexy. The back of forth was so great. Emmy making Stephen work was not what he was used to. They both came from money but there family lives was very different and it was more different now so many years have gone by. Emmy now has the most gorgeous little boy and a ex hubby to deal with but this didn't stop Stephen wanting from wanted Emmy he just needed to work out why she hated him so much.
Everything about this book was amazing. The story has me sucked in from the very start. Tia Louise is one of my favourite authors she alway creates a great story that alway flows so well. She also create the best characters that you luv from the start and luv even more after. I would highly recommend this book everything about this book is great I don't have a thing that I didn't like. This is a book that I'll be adding to my favourites books.
dnf @52% I have been reading this book for over two weeks now and I think it is time to quit it.. I really thought I would like this but the heroine and hero and everything were just..blah
Stay by Tia Louise is a second chance, enemies to lovers romance with a single parent! Can I just say how OBSESSED I am with these tropes, and the fact that Louise wrote a whole book with wonderful characters... SIGN ME UP!!
Let me just start off by saying that if Stephen Hastings put a ring on my finger for convenience, I would NOT be complaining!! I would be screaming YES at the top of my lungs!!
Enough of my swooning and my heart beating swiftly for the man of the hour, Stephen Hastings! 😂😉
Stephen and Emmy share one drunken night together, then years later, they accidentally run into each other. Throughout the years that they’ve been apart, things happen. Emmy’s heartbroken, gets pregnant and married and then divorced, while Stephen is in the Navy.
The minute they meet again, we’re also introduced to the little man who steals the show, Eli! He’s so lovable, sociable, and the cutest darn thing! I fell in love with him and all his fascinations and so did Stephen. He’s a little heart stealer!
Emmy Barton is a fighter who is such a strong, loving, and incredible person and mother to Eli! She’s learned to rely on no one but herself and to give her time, love, and devotion to her son, in which you learn has a condition.
Stephen is broody, a control freak, and doesn’t like the idea of change. He hardly shows emotion and his life is in order. But when he sets sights on Emmy and Eli... his world gets turned upside down.
Both of their character development and growth was amazing! I loved how open they both became with one another and how Stephen’s priorities shifted and Emmy’s broken heart mended.
Louise is able to perfectly balance sexual chemistry, emotional connection, angst, drama, and HEAT! Her writing always provokes so many emotions out of me, which is why, I always enjoy reading her books! She makes romances like this so enjoyable, you can’t get enough!
I can’t wait for what’s to come next because I know it’ll be something I’ll enjoy, whatever Louise writes!
An everything love story you are going to want to read! Ashley @ Carolina Chic’s Read
This story is an enemies to lovers, second chance and a marriage for convenience story all in one! The heat between these two is going to keep you turning the page. Stephen the alpha male that doesn’t take no for an answer. Emmy is a sweet and sassy momma bear who will do anything for her son! When these two get together will it be forever ????
Where do I start? Stay is a second chance at love story which ticked all the boxes for me. Emmy Barton and Stephen Hastings stole my heart and I think they have kept a little piece of it.
There were times when I sighed, I laughed, I cried and throughout it all I kept saying, just one more chapter. I was riveted from the first to the last page, such was the strength of the writing and the fabulous characters.
Of course there were plenty of swoon worthy moments and plenty of sizzle between Stephen and Emmy which I have come to expect from a book from Tia Louise.
At times an emotional roller coaster that had me on the edge of my seat. I loved the connection he had with Eli, Emmy’s son, it melted my heart.
I fell hard and fast for Stephen and I loved how devoted he was to Emmy, he made me swoon on so many occasions. I loved how strong and feisty Emmy was and I adored the banter they had.
Throughout it all Tia Louise kept me absolutely on the edge of my seat as I read and cheered for Stephen and Emmy to get their happily ever after.
There was nothing I didn’t love about Stay. This is one of the best books I have read this year. Once click this little gem, you won’t be disappointed.
Tia Louise has done it again! She completely dragged me back into another romance only to leave me wanting more of her words. Stephen and Emmy’s story was real, angsty, and steamy as hell.
This has two of my favorite tropes. Enemies to lovers and marriage of convenience. I don’t know how these two thought that they would have a marriage of convenience and walk away in the end. The chemistry between these two was so freakin’ hot that they should've known better.
I loved every character in this book. Especially Eli! He was so sweet and pure that I just wanted nothing but the best for him. Being along for his journey was really tearing at my heartstrings you guys.
The steamy scenes, the angst, and the sexual tension was SCORCHING!
If you love swoony romance with some tender moments, then pick this up when it releases!
Stephen tends to have a one track mind, "he pushes off the wall and takes my hand. “Let’s get cleaned up. We’ve got some effing to do.” Stephen is just over the moon for his woman, “what’s wrong, beautiful?” I’m still holding her waist, smiling down at her like the horny husband I am." I liked this book, I loved Stephen.
Second chance romance & enemies to lovers - sign me up!!
Emmy and Stephen are explosive to say the least. Their chemistry absolutely poured from the page. I loved the wit, the banter, the backstory they share.
Plenty of emotions and heat make this my kind of romance and cement for me why Tia Louise is a one click author.
