Saving the World is a standalone FF romance novel set in the Oakview universe, with a HEA ending. Oakview books can be read in any order, just be prepared to see some familiar faces around town!
A Harvard MBA grad, Grace is a rep for her father, for their family construction business - except it is really his business, that she might one day get to run.
Eva is a professor of Environmental Studies, and while she was gone to the mud of Guatemala, a new building project was pushed through to be built on the nature preserve on campus.
Eva had been thinking of Oakview as her home, and this was a change that would end it.
It turns out that the hippy-ish prof and the MBA have a lot in common, and a lot that they do not share.
but can they save a bit of the nature preserve? their personal connection? or has Grace unwittingly injected too much deception into the equation, accepting things her father told her as s.o.p. and ignoring signs of shadier acts on the part of her father, his company, people he influenced?
Is there a redemption to be found?
Love gets a little harder sometimes - but redemption and compromise can have many rewards, if the right changes happen.
A challenge filled love story.

Environmental background - enjoyed re-entering The Oakview World - loved the glimpses of past story - if only the colour of hair! Ending a little too pat - but, hey, can't have everything! Recommended.
I liked the writing style but I didn't like the characters or their relationship that much. I didn't feel invested at all and I was surprised by how quickly and strongly their relationship developed when there was no substance to it.
The author has given us two strong female characters that are vastly different within this story. Eva is an environmentalist who wants to preserve the nature reserve on campus. While Grace continuously wants to prove to everyone, especially her father, that she can and will succeed. As their worlds collide they must figure out a way for both of them to achieve the outcome that they want. As for support, Eva's best friend Jen is her go-to when something arises, and Grace has Laine, her therapist that guides her and emotionally supports her as she navigates through "The Incident". Eva is the hippy with a spunky attitude and Grace is this power suit hungry character who will devour anyone who stands in her way. I really enjoyed this book. It was beautifully done, the characters are charming, and it was immersive from start to finish.

I loved all the push and pull between Eva and Grace. They really complimented one another even though they didn’t realize it in the beginning. Can’t wait to read the next one.
Two very different characters clashing in about everything except their mutual attraction. Would they continue to clash or find some sort of compromise? Interesting read.
I really enjoyed this book. I haven't read anything by this author before but I will definitely be looking forward to finding more of her work. Good job!
