Of course there are spoilers 😲

If this author isn't famous for her manwhore heroes and weak heroines she should be!......randoms

The book starts off with a graphic sex scene with the H and OW, I assume it's necessary because a tape is released of the incident and the H is bashed in the media because he likes rough sex with spanking and such 🙄
Because of said sex tape it's decided that H needs to date a seemingly decent lady. Cue the h who works for his manager and only wears figure hiding clothes and leads a quiet life 🙄
Of course though they've Known each other for years they can't stand each other 🙄
The h has a makeover that of course causes the H to take notice 🙄
They date and of course feelings start to develop
But see the h was raped at 18 so that's why she only wears clothes that do not draw attention to herself
Of course she needs him and his controlling ways in the bedroom to really help get past that incident though she did have 2 sexual encounters after the incident which I admire
She is reluctant to give him a chance because she hates celebrities......this is because her father is famous and for years her mother drums it into their heads that all men are dogs but famous men are 10 times worst ( I didn't get the mother's rationale because the father was a dog before he really got famous and supposedly abandoned his family)
She eventually opens up to the H about herself and promises not to run anymore
Of course the H is shocked and appalled at who her father is because.......he just signed a major deal with the dirt bag
Of course there's OW drama as the H's friend and sometimes hook up sets up the long lost father and the h to come face to face
Of course she runs
Of course it turns out the dad wasn't such a dirt bag after all but had been sending money to the mother and trying to see them for years
Of course all is forgiven and the long lost father and mom reunite
Of course she forgives the H and they get an HEA
🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

Sigh this one was okish,though the H was definitely loyal from the moment they got together his initial sex scene which we are told he enjoyed so much coloured my view of him. Too much of this book was cliched for me to really enjoy.

I had read Seducing Lola by this author and thought I'd found an auto buy author but most of her books are not safe, I just decided to give this one a try but she's mostly hit or miss for me ,with way too many books in the miss column I'm not too sure I'll try again in the future......only time will tell.

❤️Perfect 5 stars❤️
Jessica Prince is a mastermind writer who knows exactly what she's doing!!
It was my first time read of her and I've legit become her fan.

Writing style❤️
Characters building ❤️
Plotting ❤️
Twists❤️
I was literally crying somewhere during the end and in the very second minute laughing like a maniac. That's how crazy this book is!! I mean the amount of emotions rolling in the whole book is immeasurable.... why did I wait so long to get to this one??

I love the characters (especially)!
Who says Sutton is a coward? I'm gonna have a real tiff with that person... I'm so on her side. Can anyone who has faced abandonment, physical brutality and overlooking behave and be like the woman Sutton is?? Absolutely not. Coz anyone has to be EXTREMELY EXTREMELY strong for that. I felt her pain during her vulnerability 🥺

And our Camden is a God gift guy I need in my life as well!! I seriously need a boyfriend like him ALONG with his crazy stupid family 😂. I swear Camden's family is gonna be my definition of perfect family.

Plot, storyline, content was on mark👍🏻
I loved the book so damn much.

One Knight Stand was everything I didn’t know I needed. I have always, ALWAYS been a fan of the fake dating trope. I live for it!

This story has a celebrity hero that needs help clearing up his image after a one night stand goes horribly wrong. He needs someone with the girl-next-door look, and that’s where Sutton comes in, the assistant of Camden’s best friend.

To say Camden and Sutton aren’t the best of friends in the beginning would be a huuuuge understatement. Those two are like oil and water. But I loved the progression of their relationship throughout the story.

I will admit, when I first started this book I thought Camden would continue with his manwhore ways. I’m so happy that wasn’t the case, he turned out to be loyal and completely smitten with Sutton. It was so easy to fall for him.

One tiny problem I did have, though, was the pet names being very repetitive. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love pet names, but it does get rather tiring when it’s being said over and over again.

Overall, One Knight Stand took me by surprise! I enjoyed it so much I didn’t have the chance to highlight my favorite scenes/quotes. That’s how hooked I was into the story and characters. I can’t wait to read more by this author.

***5 Stars***

After reading, and loving, the Civil Corruption series I was all in when it was announced that Camden Knight, Tate’s BFF and smexy as sin rockstar, was going to get his own HEA ~ especially after that little tease at the end of Ravage, that definitely had me making grabby hands and saying “Come to mama” *BSEG* ~ and One Knight Stand did NOT disappoint! It had the perfect blend of angst, drama, sweet swoonyness, smexy as hell times and a ton of moments that had me laughing out loud throughout the book that kept me turning the pages and made a little sad at the end because there were no more words to read and I really, REALLY wanted more.

I already liked Cam after meeting him in Defile. His unwavering loyalty for Tatum was such a draw it was hard not to like the man, but now I adore him. He is a rock god, he is all kinds of Alpha AF smexy and is cocky, but isn’t OTT arrogant and underneath it all is a man with a golden heart who simply loves writing and play music.

Sutton I adored...in the end. This isn’t to say that I didn’t like her to begin with, because I did. She is a spitfire and has a whole lot of sass, even if it is hidden beneath many, many layers of armour. It was more I needed to see what made her tick and when those layers fell and her past came out, I hurt for her, but I loved watching her fight through her demons and show the world how amazing she really was.

With the whole enemies to lovers mixed with a fake relationship thing going on, sparks were going to fly to matter how you spun it and sparks flew in every way possible and I thoroughly enjoyed each second of it. The chemistry between them was intense from the start and I loved watching them go from being all snarly and snarky with each other to realizing that their preconceived notions of each other were, for the most part incorrect and actually acknowledged it like the adults they are. Now, they had their moments, dear lord did they have them, but when they sorted their shit out, I loved how honest and sincere they were with each other. And as far as that little “issue” with Camden and what he likes in bed...HAWT! Absolutely HAWT. And while there are enough issues between the two of them, another twist had to be added to the mix and it’s a big one. It wasn’t a surprise, but as much as I hated the initial fallout, I loved how it was the catalyst for a pretty amazing HEA all around.

This one pulled me in and I thoroughly enjoyed the ride. Outside of Cam and Sutton I totally enjoyed the supporting cast of characters. We do get to spend a little bit of time with the Civil Corruption crew, but it was Sutton and Camden’s families that were amazing! Sabrina and Valery had me cracking up and Bryan and the kiddos weren’t far behind. And that Epilogue was all kinds of everything! If you haven’t read the Civil Corruption series, you won’t be lost, this one can be read as a standalone, but I think it would be a lot more fun if you did, especially Defile.

And last but not least, now that Camden has his HEA, when can we expect Stone to get his?? *BSEG*

"What the hell did you do when one night wasn't enough?"

I met Camden before along with Civil Corruption guys, and he was so sweet and adorable and a great and loyal friend for Tate (Defile). And I love this author's heroes and heroines so dang much!

So it wasn't possible for me to love even more, right? Wrong!!!

Camden and Suton's story touched me so deeply, so beautifully, I was getting more and more in love with them, in love with heir love.

After a huge blow on Cam's image for something he shouldn't be ashamed of, he needs some damage control: a sweet girl-next-door to be his girlfriend so the world could think he's been saved...and somehow, he has.

When Suton is chosen to be that girl, at first both of them thought this could never work. They seemed so different and they didn't quite get along very well. But, as much as God, love works in mysterious ways.

"Every single day, I thank my lucky stars for agreeing to be Camden Knight's fake girfriend, because it led to this"

What started off as fake, something for the vultures to back off from Cam, soon starts to get a another form, a loving form. Something beautiful and unique, made for the two of them.

"It's real. I promise you that. It may have started off as pretend, but it's very, very real now"

Suton has faced hell, and that changed her a lot, but, strong and resilient as she is, she could make it through and get the other way. Sure, she built a wall around her, but all it took was the right guy to make her trust and, for the first time, seek on protection and healing from someone else.

I loved how deep and meaningful this story was. I loved Cam's preferences (and dear Lord, they were hot), I loved how patient he was, I loved how he was someone Suton could rely on, even if he made mistakes.

Their background molded them, the good and the bad. They were the incredible people they were for all of that. They were special and deserved each other so much.

I also loved how the secondary characters were important. The story was about the hero and the heroine, but they weren't alone, and their friends and families were just as fundamental as they were.

Another thing that I loved, still on that train of thought, is that this book didn't just solve and focus on their love. Sometimes, you read even a good book, but by the end, you have so many questions, you still wonder this or that, but you don't have the answer. So many things go without closure.

But this time, we could se things getting into their right places, getting solved as only time, forgiveness and love can do. It wasnt a story about Suton and Camden only. It was a story of their surroundings as well. And, of course, their love and future.

"'You're amazing, Suton. You know what? I'm never letting you go'
'Good. Because I don't want you to'"

The only thing that bothered me a little was that the story from Suton's point of view was written in first person. But when it came to Camden, it was written in third person.
I wished the whole book was written in first person, alternating from him to her. It would be even more powerful and personal for me if it was Camden himself teeling the story and everything he was feeling, suffering, struggling, loving.

He was so full of emotions that I wanted him to tell me about it.

That being sad, it wasn't enough of a bother for me to drop a star in my review. I still give 5 (and even more) reviews.

Anyway, I'm in love with Camden, I'm in love with Suton, I'm in love with their story. It was powerful, sensitive, emotional and about rising from the pain and the blow.

And no matter their beginning, it was real.

"Cutie, this has been real since that kiss on your front porch. I've just been waiting for you to clue in"

The fact the prologue this author released is the hero having amazing sex with another women should tell you all you need to know. Her view is men can enjoy sex with anyone even if it's not the heroine, and the heroine can only enjoy it with him. Using rape as a means to do kinky sex is also disgusting.

4.5 Stars

One Knight Stand left me all giddy and happy. It had the perfect blend of angst, laugh out loud moments, drama, and steam. It had me turning the pages extra quick. I was sad to see it end, I just wanted more and more.

Camden Knight is a sexy as sin rockstar. He is all kinds of alpha and cocky, but not arrogant. Underneath all his rock god glory lies a man that is protective with a heart of gold. I couldn't get enough of Camden, he had me swooning nonstop. He was definitely a favorite of mine.

Sutton Briar is a sassy spitfire. She had so many layers to her. And throughout the book it was good to see those layers start to fall away with her opening up and trusting. Sutton grew so much and I rooted so hard for her. To see her face her demons and come out victorious was a thing of beauty.

Sutton and Camden didn't get along right from the beginning. But once they started to get to know each other, feelings stated to develop. And oh my gosh when that happened I got the biggest smile on my face. They complimented one another so well. They were so freaking adorable together. They were so good for each other and both leaned a lot from the other. They both definitely deserved all the happiness and the fact that they made each other happy was an added plus.

Overall, One Knight Stand was an enjoyable read. Sutton and Camden's story hooked me and I could t get enough. I can't wait to read more from Jessica, a new-to-me author.

LOVE LOVE LOVE! Another 5 star read from Ms Prince! Full review to follow

I have yet to read a Jessica Prince book and not be head over heels with the couple before finding the end. This one was no different. Camden and Sutton easily drew me in and captivated me with tension, heart, perseverance, loyalty and a friendship that held me tight and never let go. Ms. Prince always writes a love story in a way that lays out the who, what, where, while also grabbing you and connecting souls so that every heart-wrenching twist and turn you fully experience. The powerful messages, the fight in every one of her characters to overcome and be better, hopefully together. A beauty that crosses over the line from fiction to a piece of your heart that remains long past closing the kindle and saying goodbye. I will be here patiently (sort of) waiting for the next heart-filled connection that Ms. Prince decides to release at us with bated breath. Devoured this one, like the rest. Until next time...

One Knight Stand is the story of Camden who needs a complete image overhaul after a one night stand gone public. A girl next door is needed to clean up his image and Sutton, the assistant of Camden’s best friend, fits the bill.

Camden and Sutton were two totally different people, not at all who I would think would end up together. Slowly, but surely, the lines blur and the relationship between the two becomes something real. There were a few twists and turns that caught me off guard in the story and I was surprised. However, the only thing I did not like was the overuse of the nicknames, especially during sex.

Overall, it was a good story and I enjoyed it in one sitting!

4 1/2 stars. Cam and Sutton were wonderful! I loved how down to earth and "normal" Camden was. And Sutton and her sister were so funny. I am so down with a book that makes me actually laugh out loud. The one thing that detracted from the story for me was the abundant use of the endearments. Honey, cutie, babe, baby and doll. Otherwise, another win for Jessica Prince!

I love Jessica Prince's Civil Corruption Series! But One Knight Stand...the dual pov's are great, however, Camden's was in 3rd person and Sutton's was not. I felt myself get lost quite a few times because the alternating way the story was being told...so it wasn't really a smooth read, for me.

I did like the book..I liked the characters, I liked that we got to see our favorite Civil Corruption members and their significant others!!

I’ve previously read Jessica Prince’s Enticing Daphne and found it to be an enjoyable read. I wasn’t crazy about it, but I enjoyed it enough to pick up another of the author’s work. Although I enjoyed One Knight Stand, I had been hoping for a wee bit more.

If I’m being completely honest, this book is more of a three-point-five-star read. Part of me wanted to round up, as in the end I found myself enjoying this one, but as it took so long for me to get into this one – and there were fears I would not be able to finish – I rounded my rating down instead of up.

Although One Knight Stand is a standalone novel, there are clear links to other Jessica Prince books – one series in particular. Although you do not need to have read these other books to enjoy this one, I do feel as though certain elements would have been more enjoyable had I read the other books. As it was, I feel as though I did not get the full impact of the story. It was enjoyable, but some of the history between the characters would have been more enjoyable if I’d known about their backstories.

This was not the reason why I found the book so difficult to get into, though. My issue was the way in which the story was told. We flickered between first and third person perspectives depending upon who we were following, and that made it difficult for me to be sucked into this one. I found the constant change of person jarring, with one point of view feeling better written than the other.

Another thing that made it difficult for me to get into this one was the storyline didn’t do anything for me at first. The whole reason why our male lead was being harassed by the media felt a bit silly to me. Fifty Shades has made BDSM very mainstream, in many ways, and I feel as though people were overly shocked for something very soft. After all, it seemed more like rough sex than actual kink – but that’s just my view. Thus, I wasn’t invested in the reasoning. When things did appear that I found myself more interested in, I felt as though they did not have the powerful impact they could have. There was the chance to deal with some heavy issues, and I feel as though they were not given the depth they could have been.

By the end of the story, though, I did find myself rather enjoying myself. I wasn’t in love with the book in the way I could have been, but it did win me over.

Oh man, I’ve been dying for Camden Knight’s story since meeting him in Defile and I knew I would absolutely love him!

In One Knight Stand we have a bit of an enemies-to-lovers, fake-dating story. One that brings out both the good and bad sides of Sutton and Camden. When this whole fake dating thing starts, it’s to help repair Camden’s public persona—he’s been embroiled into a bit of a scandal, and only Sutton can help him work his way out of it.

And they can’t stand each other. But they doth protesteth too much... And once they get over themselves and their perceptions of each other, wowza.

I loved Sutton and Cam and their budding romance. It was fun, flirty, snarky, and not fake. Nope. Real feelings crept in. And it was so fun to watch them fall in love. And it wasn’t an easy path—each of them had baggage to unpack and move on from.

I also loved the side characters—Brina, Sutton’s sister was my favorite. I loved her protectiveness and her fierce love for her sister. I also adored Cam’s mother, Val, and his relationship with his siblings too. They didn’t treat him like a star, but as their annoying little brother. They grounded him.

I did struggle a bit with the neat wrap up of some of the more emotional side-stories though—especially the relationship between Sutton and her mother. But overall, the romance between Sutton and Cam won me over as a whole, and that’s really what One Knight Stand is all about—Sutton and Cam. ~ Missy, 4 stars

One Knight Stand was full of emotion throughout the story with a lot of angst, love, heartache, romance and laughter. There was the perfect mix of emotions throughout the story making it even more enjoyable. I really loved the storyline of the two characters fake dating and falling in love.

Sutton was a strong heroine in the story that really grew in the story and really came out of her shell. I felt for her when she admitted the heartache and pain that she went through in her life. But I loved the way that she was protective of Camden even when they did not like each other very much.

Camden was the hot Rockstar that I could not get enough off. He was fiercely protective of the ones that he loves, and he was incredibly sweet to Sutton when they got to know each other.

One Knight stand had me captivated from the moment I read for the chapter of the story, and I needed more. One Knight Stand was such a great story that it has left me wanting more from this author.

Camden Knight!!! The man is amazing and t be honest I really felt bad for him from the first page in this book. Hell haft no fury like a woman scorned is taken to a whole new level in this book. He is a musical genius, he can have any woman he wants. So why is that a one night stand caused him so much grief?
Now the paparazzi is like a dog with a bone and won't let this story die. Camden doesn't deserve this. But when your in the business you know this can and will happen.
Tate's ( yes Tate Declan's wife) come up with an idea to redeem him in the eyes of the world. Date a squeaky clean girl....But the problem is they hate each other
Camden Knight is an amazing guy and I swooned over him. But thoughts are what a person does in private is their business and people should never judge you on that. But it happens all the time. Camden redeemed himself 100 times over.

After a disaster of a one night stand, musician Camden Knight finds his long kept quiet sexual proclivities suddenly thrust into the spotlight. Sure, he likes his sex a little rough, but having that private detail starting to affect his career... he needs a plan... and quickly.

While hiding in plain sight behind frumpy clothes, and preferring work to socializing, Sutton Briar simply enjoys keeping to herself. And she absolutely can't stand being around entitled celebrities... most especially men like Camden Knight. But, when her job has her pretending to be his girlfriend... everything she once took comfort in hiding about herself is about to become a thing of the past...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Finally... Camden Knight! This book was an incredibly sexy, fake relationship story about a musician who needs some good PR, and ends up being set up with a woman he happens to butt heads with at every turn...
Sutton can't stand Camden Knight. And since she is employed by his best friend and manager, she unfortunately has to see him all too often. Even better, she is volunteered to be his fake girlfriend to help spin a better image for him in the press. But, when their fake dates start to turn into some very real feelings, Sutton finds herself falling for the type of man she vowed to never love...
The last girl Camden would ever want to date is Sutton. With her ice queen personality and ability to dress in the frumpiest clothes imaginable, once she shows up for a date with him looking like she is finally comfortable in her own skin, Camden just can't seem to get enough of her...
This was such a great read! Sutton was an amazing woman whose past has shaped her into someone afraid to put herself out there. But, with her budding relationship with a caring man like Camden, she starts to open up and let people in. Camden was such a sweet, yet deliciously dirty specimen of a man. I adored his character so much and was salivating for MORE from him.
With an irresistible plot and an incredible cast of characters, I enjoyed everything about this book. Not only was it uber sexy, but the storyline kept me engaged and absorbed in it's entirety.
I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.
I really need to find out where the inspiration comes from when this author creates her leading men because good lord they are always delicious. If it was possible to get pregnant from reading a kindle then I would have with this book because Camden Knight made my ovaries hurt and made me want to have another child. That is an amazing feat considering my kids are in their late 20's.
The author, in typical fashion, (because I am convinced she might be a wizard) created magic in this story. I first met Camden in Tatum's and Declan's story ( I think Civil corruption #2- don't take my fan card if I got this wrong) and knew there was something compelling about him. I was very happy to hear he would be getting his own story after Civil corruption was over (Which I never wanted to end). He lived up to the hype and I can see not only why he was Tate's best friend but why Sutton never stood a chance at this relationship being only a "one Knight Stand". Loved the play on his name here. Sutton had her own insecurities for a couple of whopper reasons. I am glad that she finally had someone in her corner that could give her the security to grow.
There were a couple minor things that I scratched my head over but then let it go because it is not my place to question how someone overcomes things. I know this personally, so I left in Camden's hands and Sutton seemed better for it. There is a scene toward the end that had me cracking up literally. I won't give a spoiler but talk about a mood killer. SO funny.
The steam was hotter than pavement in Hell. This author creates some scenes that could make a porn star blush. I love that she builds the story around it and that it isn't overfilled. She has found that balance. And her epilogues are always the best.
Another stellar book from this amazing author.
I didn’t want this one to end. I freaking loved Camden and Sutton!!! These two have spent two years despising each other and the banter was off the charts. She despised him because of her upbringing and he just didn’t put up with her being the ice queen. Then Camden got himself in some trouble and his bff suggested a fake relationship and chose Sutton. Their reaction to this arrangement was hilarious and the things they said to each other was wow.
Then Camden saw what the ice queen was hiding under frumpy clothes and he was a goner, lol. They were still banters but then real feelings started getting involved and Camden was ridiculously protective of Sutton. She thought everything was still fake, lol, but he never corrected her but still enjoyed each other. When they both declared that it was no longer fake, cue in the fireworks. Camden was a genuinely super nice guy and Sutton was able to open up to him about her past which was really heartbreaking. His reaction?! Priceless. He was definitely head over heels. Then a blast from the past tried to destroy this beautiful relationship and was almost successful at doing it but Camden was NOT going down without a fight. No way he was letting Sutton leave him. It wasn’t easy and I didn’t think she would ever give him a chance because it was a very hard and sad moment but he wasn’t given up and did everything in his power to win her back.
The endings were downright hilarious. I laughed and smiled so much that I was sad when it ended. The secondary characters were awesome. Between Sutton’s sister, brother-in-law and their kids add Camden’s fun, crazy family and their friends and it was perfect. There was a part that reminded me of my own household and it was football night, lol. Camden is a Patriots fan like me and Sutton is a Seahawks fan like my husband, hahahahaha. Loved it!!
It was soo good to come back to the Civil Corruption boys and all people around. I know that this book doesn't include this wild men exactly but I really enjoy reading about folks from previous books. I loved Sutton snd Knight!
One Knight Stand has very accurate tittle. Why ??? Because Jess will hook You up with another hot and naughty guy... for sure Your night will be sleeples and untamed 😉 There's one thing for which You need to be prepared - ONE NIGHT won't be enough... Knight and Sutton will stay forever in every readers heart.  This book is one of this kind which You won't put down, from the first page to the last one this book sucks in compeletely. There's a lot off funny, sweet and hot moments... but it's book about love so there's will be also drama in the background.
Knight might be a player, but it looks like he also  could find heart... somewhere 😉 He looks like tough guy, but when You meet him closer It can be seen that he is just good guy... Good guy who need right woman by his side. Maybe it sounds like rule old just like time old could be... but what should I write when it perfectly fit here? Sutton knows how to keep this man on right side of her life. She is so sweet and gentle... almost to soft for Knight, but during reading, after knowing her better every reader will find out how amazing young woman she is.
Maybe their story started like ONE NIGHT STAND, but quiclky became something  a lot more. TWO lonley hearts find each other in messed up life, and that's the most important,  guys !!!! ALL this things makes this book so wonderfull... so go grab Your books in hands !!!
Amy's Review
4.5 stars
Camden Knight had me instantly intrigued when we met him in Defile.  He was an amazing friend to Tate when she needed one the most and I just knew that once we got to know him on a more personal level that he would be nothing short of amazing.  There were so many levels to this character.  When we first met him he came across as this good ole' boy who was always laid back and just went with the flow of things.  But once we really started to know him there was so much more depth to his character.  I found myself eager for the chapters in his POV because I just couldn't get enough of him.
Sutton just plan rocked.  From her name to her style to her just amazing personality she was a character I quickly and easily could relate to.  Her life hasn't been an easy one and it shows, but once she began to grow more confident and comfortable in her own skin she really started to blossom.
With drops in from characters we already love, The Civil Corruption series, then adding in the craziness that is Sutton's family the banter was off the charts.  I laughed, I cried, and I got that heavy weight in my chest that tells me that a book is really hitting me emotionally.  I enjoyed every second of this book.
I love the world Jessica Prince has created. Her rock star romances with a mix of love and hate are so much fun. Then the way she blends characters from previous stories into a new one never detracts but definitely enhances the storyline. One Knight Stand is one such romance.
Camden Knight has got a bit of an attitude after being exposed by a scorned lover. He’s kind of arrogant but has a soft spot and a good heart.
Sutton Briar works for his management team. There is no love lost between them. And she’s got a bias she needs to work through. But she’s a sweetheart and loving even to those not always deserving.
Together they need to prove to the world and themselves that what they’ve got going is real. The build up is great and chemistry spot on. The sexy times are hot. Camden and Sutton have witty banter with some spice thrown in. The supporting cast adds another layer of charm. One Knight Stand is an excellent and yummy romance!
5 Stars!
I love Jessica Prince and her latest rockers were completely irresistible in every single way. And when we met Cam in that series... I knew he was gonna be quite the character with one hell of a story to tell. And I gotta admit she delivered with this one in every single way. This book, these characters, and the execution of the story was perfect in every way possible.
One Knight Stand was a funny, sweet, sexy, angsty, intense, emotional, and rather complicated fake-relationship romance that fiercely stole my heart and had me hanging on to every little word these two gave until the pages quit turning. Sutton and Cam were everything I expected them to be... from their rocky beginning to their undeniable chemistry and totally unforgettable moments between them... I fell hard and fast and got all the feels... even when it was tough, hurtful, and not so clear. I rooted hard and the reward was worth it.
Jessica Prince is a top ten author for me... and has been since my very first book. She's write great heroines and amazing alphas. Y'all she writes with so much heart and a ton of heat. She's a must read.
I highly recommend this book.
This could have been a 4 or even 5 star review, like so many of the ones I can see have already been posted at Amazon.com. It's not, for one very simple reason. Shifting perspectives.
It's not the first time I've encountered this problem recently, in fact this is the second such example in about a month, with the exact same issue.
The prologue was well written, and completely drew me in, then I opened chapter 1 to find the author had swapped perspective, and it was now written in 1st person.
It annoys me enough when authors switch perspectives between books in a series, but within the space of ONE book? Frankly I find it utterly unforgivable, and it completely ruined this book for me. So much so I stopped reading immediately and returned it for a refund.
Such a shame too, because the plot and prologue showed such promise.
Every time Jessice Prince says shes writing a new book I get mega excited. Her words pull me in and have me invested in the characters and story by page 2!
We met Camden Night in Defile (Civil Corruption) and now we get his story! He likes sex a little rougher than most so when this is leaked, his team come up with the idea of pairing him with a "fake" girlfriend. Enter Sutton Briar. She is clearly closed off with demons from her past but you can tell she is a strong and independent woman.
I loved these two together and that Camden wasn't the a-hole everyone thought him to be. When intact he was protective and caring.
I loved that Camden POV was in 3rd person and Sutton was firdt person, I think it gave the book and extra something.
Another 5 star read from an amazing author!
One Knight Stand by Jessica Prince was a fake romance with two people who could not be any different from each other. But you know what happens when opposites attract! Camden Knight and Sutton Briar were not exactly friends, but Camden needed help and apparently Sutton was the perfect one to help.
My heart just melted for Camden. A Rockstar who was sexy and cocky, but also sweet and caring. Sutton prefers to keep her life private and, in the background, but now her life is going to blow up in a big way. Camden’s reputation has taken a dive and he needs help. Enter Sutton to try and turn things around as his new girlfriend.
Though they did not care for each other at the start, things begin to change as they got to know each other. They had great chemistry and I loved their banter! One Knight Stand by Jessica Prince was such a fun read that full of angst, laughs and sexy times! The characters burned up the pages. I loved the character, story and seeing old friends!
I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, sweet love, and heartbreak.
This is Sutton and Camden’s story. Sutton is trying to remain invisible and to blend into the crowd. She was doing this for years and is happy with her results. When her boss asks her to pretend to be the girlfriend of a famous musician she knows she can’t refuse. If she refuses it could mean the end of her job. So, she agrees the only issues are that she will be thrown into the spotlight and the man she is pretending with she hates. Camden knows he needs help but when that help comes in the form of a woman he hates he is not sure he wants it. What should have been one night and a little pretending turns into so much more then either of them bargained for. Is it really hate that they feel for each other?
I loved these characters and the side characters. I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
I highly recommend this book.
Holy smoking H-O-T! Super sexy and successful musician, check. Girl who doesn't realize her own strength and beauty, check. Off the charts sex, check. Drama, drama, drama, check. This book hits all the right spots!
I loved and adored the hate to love story about Camden and Sutton. She thought he was an entitled star. He thought she was an ice queen. That is until they have to "fake date." She has her demons in her past, and once the two of them decide to let go of their "hate" status and start all over the sparks to fly. Neither knew how wrong they were about the other. Their chemistry just works right off the bat. You don't want to miss this one! (Review by Terri "Jane")
I need Jessica Prince to write faster and more and more and moreee! I loved this one.
It hit the spot. I've been in a bit of a rut, but I couldn't put this one down. It hit all the marks.
I loved Camden and Sutton from the very first page. Their chemistry and sass was awesome.
You've read stories of fake relationships and they are done well, but this was just so good. It flowed well and never got a bit boring. I loved these characters. They were the right amount of sweet, sassy with tons of chemistry!
