Good Girls #2

Where Bad Girls Go to Fall

Rate this book
From the author of Where Good Girls Go to Die, comes the second book of the Good Girls Series that readers are calling "everything you could possibly want and need in a romance novel that sucks you in cover to cover." -Enamored Reads

Nothing good came from listening to my heart.

It was careless and irrational and became way too invested when I read a romance novel.

So I put her under lock and key.

I only had a few rules, and I always stuck with them.

1. Never get attached.

2. Always run before the feels become contagious.

3. No matter what, under no circumstances, never fall in love.

He was a playboy who ran by the same set of rules.

What we had together was fun, it was hot, and it was temporary.

Until he screwed everything up.

We were never meant to be each other's happily ever after, but the harder I tried to push him away, the further I fell.

~The second read of this series continues. Perfect for a dreaded book funk!~

It's a case of the manwhore meeting his match with a bad girl. It works well since Mason and Staci are genuinely nice people. They've just decided to embrace singledom; there's no shame in that!

I couldn’t imagine meeting someone, some magic fucking love dust being sprinkled over my head and thinking mine. My vagina had that thought sometimes, but not my heart. Definitely not my heart.

When Staci sends a photo to a booty call, she might die of mortification because Mason receives it instead. Being friends, surely, he should be the bigger person and ignore it? Ah, nope. In fact, it sparks an interest worth exploring…

She was wild, she was real, and even though I did want to fuck the shit out of her, I was genuinely having fun just being around her and that scared the shit out of me.

Where Bad Girls Go to Fall was surprisingly a fun read. There is a hint of heartbreak in the past that needs to be resolved and causes them to falter along the way. However, watching Mason manipulate this friend zone was very cute. No pettiness, just a solid connection between two people not banking on love.

Well, well, well... I'm really in a bad mood around the books lately... the most epic slump ever! 😭💔

Estou numa maré péssima de leitura e nada me agrada ultimamente. Portanto, não deixe que minha opinião influencie na sua decisão de ler ou não.
Talvez se eu lesse essa história em outro momento, minha opinião seria diferente da atual.
Mas, infelizmente eu não gostei desse tanto quanto eu esperava... *sigh*

I really enjoyed this one, I think more so than Where Good Girls Go to Die even. It was quick and sexy, just what I needed.

The pace of the relationship was on the quicker side, bordering on insta-lust/insta-love but since this is a shorter book, it worked for me personally. And I'm one to usually dislike insta-love, so that's saying something.

I had a good time reading this book and never once lost interest, the story kept me entertained from start to finish. Honestly, I would've read this in one sitting if life hadn't gotten in the way.

Plus, I also really enjoyed the characters, both Mason and Stacie. I really liked Stacie's fire and rebel persona as well as her more vulnerable side. And Mason was just all kinds of swoony.
*Le Happy Sigh*

It's always fun to have little peeks at past characters like Parker and Livy from Where Good Girls Go to Die. I was kinda missing them before starting this book so this was nice. 😭💕

I'd definitely recommend this book if you're looking for quick, easy, fun and sexy!
Now, I must say, I'm super excited for the next book, which I hope is Brandon's book! 💕🤤

First, I should have been reading an arc, but then I saw this on Tiki Tok, and that was it. It is always the best friend's brothers that do me in. Thanks to the author with her evil genius of marketing.

Staci and Mason are the same. Both have a string of one-night stands and don't do relationships. Staci is my kind of heroine. Strong, sassy, knows her sexuality, and don’t fuck with me vibes. By accident, she sends a nude to Mason, her best friend Livy's brother. After that picture, he can’t get her off of his mind.

Fast forward a few weeks later, and they are out with their best friends, who leave them, and Mason decides they should play a game. Well, it's game on, and what a wild night. Mason is totally smitten with her, and she only wants to be friends. But he is determined, my friends.

I didn't even look if this was also labeled as a Rom-Com. Because of some parts, I couldn't stop laughing. One chapter alone I loathed from beginning to end. Of course, there are some heavy topics on top of it. Let’s not forget the spice. 4/5. Their first time was explosive. The story has excellent world-building and character development, and now I need to read the whole series.

Mason and Staci are one of the best book couples I have read in a while. I loved everything about this book. It was intense, hot, and so good. It took me about two chapters to really get into this book and when I did I could not put it down, it was just that good. The writing was great, the characters were just everything, and the plot just rounded the whole story out. This story has got to be my favorite so far this year. I love how all the characters were intertwined. The best part to me was the chemistry between the two main characters. I would so recommend not only this book but book one. Holly Renee did an awesome job with this story. I can’t wait to see what’s next.

GAH! Everything about this books just *SCREAMS* effortless and flawless! I honestly expected nothing different from Holly Renee! Where Bad Girls Go To Fall is easily a top read of the year for me! It’s got everything you could possibly want and need in a romance novel that sucks you in cover to cover!

With an independent as hell tattooed (yes that’s important because who doesn’t love tattoos?) heroine who isn’t afraid to let it be known exactly what she’s looking for, and a down to earth ALL TIME swoon worthy hero who’s not afraid to chase after what he wants, this book is un-put- downable to the EXTREME!

Staci and Mason were 100% made for each other no matter how hard they tried to fight it. There love is intertwined through the words of this entire book and leaps off the pages with such force, you can’t help but try to continue to turn the pages long after the book has ended!

Another show stopper from Holly Renee that’ll end up making you crave nothing but more, more, MORE!

Where Bad Girls Go To Fall (Good Girls #2)
by Holly Renee

Parker and Livy’s story was Good Girls #1 now we cross over to Mason and Staci story.
Staci works for Parker as a Tattoo artist, she is sassy and single and prefers it that way.A woman has needs though so she still sees men but it is purely no strings attached sex. Hit em and quit em.
Mason is Livy’s brother and he makes a playboy look like a saint.

One wrong message, one unintended booty call and the game starts to change.
Mason see’s what his sister and Parker has and starts to want that for himself and see that he could have that with Staci. Staci however has been burned badly in the past and refuses to commit.
What started as a fun innocent game has shifted as Mason now has his eyes set on the ultimate prize.

MY THOUGHTS:
You don't have to read the first to enjoy this one but it wouldn’t hurt to. I actually enjoyed this more than the first book, it was a lighter read without the cheating aspect raising its ugly head. It’s was face paced, sexy and fun. I hope Brandon gets his own story!

Yes it was a good light quick read, and a bonus incentive is that Parker and Livy cross into this book.

Samantha and Teddy are well matched to their characters; they bring the story to life with their portrayal and made the book so much more enjoyable. Teddy has that bad boy tone in his voice that I could listen to all day. This was a great easy audio to listen to.

Holly Renee did not disappoint one bit. Staci and Mason's journey was just as amazing as Parker and Livy's. I expected nothing but amazing for this gang. I love them so much.

I was over the moon happy about getting to know both Staci and Mason on a much more personal level and getting to watch these two fall was EPIC. It was amazing how they truly fit.

Being in the same circle of friends they knew each other but an accidental text leads them to a much more personal way of getting to know the other. That text sparked an instant lust for each other and although Staci tried to fight it (sort of), Mason didn't let her escape the explosive chemistry they shared. A night out with their best friends is supposed to be just that, but when their best friends ditch them to go have sex, they end up spending a wild and unforgettable night of adventures, games and firsts.

That night was also just supposed to be one night, nothing more. Only a fling. They even made a pact to stay friends but Mason always had other plans. Staci, even though she really put up a fight until the very last minute, couldn't help but fall for the irresistible, sexy and super freaking sweet Mason. He was a true surprise and an oh so darn good one.
Mason was pretty perfect actually. An excellent brother and magical boyfriend material. I really love him.

Staci was a tortured soul. Having had a very complicated and heartbreaking past that still haunted her was what was holding her from letting herself be with Mason like they both craved.
I loved how Mason fought for her until he got her, even if he needed a little help from his beautiful sister. And can I just mention that Vegas trip? Not to spoil anything but oh my god my heart was full. It was so damn sweet, I was so happy. And again I love Livy and Mason's relationship.

Brandon now I'm waiting on you, come soon please. Thanks.

Where Bad Girls Go To Fall is an amazing, entertaining story with just the right amount of fun, shenanigans, cute dates, angst and an epic love that never burns out even when the wind keeps on howling.

Vale a leitura.

OH MY GOD!!! Mason Connor is MINE!!! This book was so insanely good. I could not put it down.

Mason is a one night stand kind of guy who changes his ways when he falls for Staci. Staci is a badass tattoo artist with a rocky past in regards to relationships. They are friends who take the next step to more, but then struggle with what that all means. While Mason knows what he wants, Staci is very much ruled by fear.

I love this whole cast of characters and the closeness and friendships shown in the book. The chemistry between Mason and Staci was SIZZLING!!! I mean a motorcycle!!!! Need I say more? This book was engaging and well written and a most definite read. You will not be disappointed!!!

Review by Lisa Kane

Staci Johnson is the best friend of Liv’s and Mason Connor is Liv’s brother. We met Liv and her man, Parker in Where Good Girls Go to Die. (which I loved!) Staci is a sassy, talented tattoo artist who works for Parker. She’s about as non-committal as you can get. But the girl loves sex, the kind of sex with no strings attached.

Mason is a real manwhore. These two have never crossed any lines, but when Staci means to send a naughty pic of herself to her regular booty call, and it ends up on Mason’s phone…well things are about to change.

I had been with a lot of women, too many to count really, but I had never seen a woman as sexy as Staci. How had I not realized it until now?

Things that are seen can not be unseen. There’s no way Mason isn’t going to act on his attraction. Games will be played, and prizes will be awarded.

There was nothing in the world that I wanted more in that moment than him, but he was already getting closer than I typically ever let any other guy.

The player is about to fall and fall hard. Mason is a good guy-he practically raised his sister on his own. He never thought he would want something permanent in his life, but seeing Parker and Liv-well they make him want more for himself. Staci; well she is the girl who he would like to have that more in his life with-but what does Staci want?

Staci frustrated me. Of course, there are reasons she refuses to commit, but she is her own worst enemy.

I let her take and take and take until I wasn’t sure what I would have left to give her. It was heaven and hell.

It’s no hardship seeing Parker and Liv in this book-gads, how I loved them!

There are lots of secondary characters that could get their own stories-hint hint!

“My house.” He motioned around him. “This place. It means nothing without you. It doesn’t feel like a home without you.”

⭐️ 4.5 "Melting the Bad Girl's Heart" Stars ⭐️
After falling in love with Livy and Parker in Where Good Girls Go to Die, I was so eager for this second standalone in the Good Girls Series. Where Bad Girls Go to Fall certainly captured my attention from start to finish. It was incredible, yet so different!

“Staci wasn’t easy. She was a wildfire. Fierce and destructive.”

From the beginning, I enjoyed the banters dripping with sexiness and humour between Staci and Mason. She appears hard on the exterior with all her tattoos and sarcastic comebacks, but inside she’s this girl burned by love, dreaming of a man to sweep her off her feet. I loved how Mason, the guy collecting one night stands, falls hard and fast for Staci. He works hard to prove to her they could be great together when she puts him in the friend zone after their one night of pleasure.

“Her skin told a story. A story I was dying to know. A story that begged me to taste every chapter with my tongue.”

Their new friendship can’t stay platonic for very long because every time they’re in the same spaces, sparks are flying and the sexual chemistry is intense. They intimate scenes are just so passionate and combusting!

All the secondary characters I learned to love in WGGGTD are back in this book, more entertaining than ever. They’re such a fantastic group of friends. I laughed so much at their antics.

“He kissed me until I felt drunk just on the touch of his lips.”

Where Bad Girls Go to Fall was everything I wanted. My only regret was that it was too short, making some parts a little too rushed. Holly Renee totally delivers on the feels! This friends to lovers romance is a short, sexy and funny journey you need to experience.

This was way worse then book one even if this one had more likable leading characters.
Repetitive well in almost everything:
- again we have best friend & brother or sister trope
- let me give you your first tattoo moment
- everybody has a joke about someone being good with their tongue
- and again we have a character ruining from problems/emotions

And then using serious topics as drive force of a plot line only to skim trough it.
Shallow.......
But still super fast read...Loooove the cover art work because I think is art...
Already reading book 3 as is about side character from both book one and two and I like him.

Yup, I LOVED THIS BOOK.

I adore all things this author creates. This book was sexy meet your new best friend, explosiveness. Staci and Mason are supposed to be friends until one very sexy picture text changes the lines between friends and I want you right this second. Staci is a tattoo artist who is hiding from a very ugly past. She not a relationship kind of girl, she’s strong and fierce, she’s the perfect heroine. Mason, i love you so much. Mason is he perfect guy. Perfect. The moment lines are crossed Mason knows there is know going back so he focuses on his construction company and his new do not cross this line “friendship” with Staci.

That works for about a second.

Because these two are never suppose to just be friends.

So many fun filled moments in this read. So many angsty, heart racing feels in this read.

And you get to see some very important characters from a previous book.

To sum it up if you love addictive characters from page one this book is a no brainer. I always fall so hard and so fast for this authors words. It’s Holly’s world and I’m just falling head first Into it.

The cover is sexy.

The characters are addicting.

The flow is perfection.

It’s the perfect angsty read.

Staci Baby, You A Bad One 100%
*self-purchased on Amazon. No need of sugar daddies called promo teams*

“Her hair was jet black, and her eyes looked like they held more secrets than any girl should.”

description

" It all could happen, that's why I'm leaving you for the moment
You're falling hard, I push away, I'm feelin' hot to the touch
You say you miss me and I wanna say I miss you so much
But something keeps me really quiet, I'm alive, I'm a lush
Your love, your love, my love."

West Coast - Lana Del Rey

What’s this book about? (I'm trying to give as little spoilers as possible)
Bad babe Staci has rules. She never breaks them. She has her fun and eats her cake, too. When an accident makes her take a second look at her best friend’s brother, the bad girl begins her fall.

This was my second Holly Renee read. Again, I loved the cover! WHAT A BEAUTY!!! I began it right after I finished book one of the Good Girls series! I LOVE THIS SERIES!!!!!! I couldn’t stop reading, page-turner style. Staci captured my attention in book one already and I can hereby confirm that her book was just as entertaining. I was pleased with the fact that there was no repeat of ‘UR MY BEST FRIEND’S SIBLING; SO TABOO!’ from book one. In book two, we dealt with the STEAM! Staci and Mason’s start was HILARIOUSLY HOT. My only issue with the second story was the lack of backstory treatment – in book one, it felt deeper with the past chapters. I hated Ben with my all and I can say that I was triggered by him. People like him exist. This ain’t a cheap trick. The short introduction to her past in the latter part of the book made me curious. I bet that Holly Renee would’ve made it fascinating and worth it. Plus, it would’ve added more length to the book WHICH I WOULD’VE SWOOPED UP because I love this series. While reading the final chapters, I wondered whether the author did this on purpose. Sometimes, I feel tired of authors playing up women’s victimhood. Perhaps the author wanted Staci to be more than just a victim, so she didn’t play up her past too much, instead focusing on Staci’s present with Mason. Therefore, I still give 5 stars. I see no reason to give 4 stars. I’d read it again. I’m having way too much fun with these books! *I just noticed that I haven’t mentioned tattoos at all. They play a big role in this series. I like the mood that they help create.
I recommend this anyone who loves reading strong leading ladies that are sexually liberated, the joys of sexting and a cute guy next door that challenges our tattooed lead.

Where Bad Girls Go To Fall is the second book in a complete trilogy of interconnected standalone books called "Good Girls."

We actually meet these two characters in the first book of this series, Where Good Girls Go To Die.

Quick details on this book:
🖤 Contemporary romance
🖤 1st person, dual POV
🖤 Small town romance
🖤 Friends to lovers
🖤 Best friend's brother

What I enjoyed (similar to the first book):
👉 Holly Renee's writing style is always 10/10
👉 Quick, bingeable book (I read this in one sitting)
👉 Dynamic between Mason & Staci
👉 Yummy spice scenes (18+ content)
👉 Mason being a total simp

What could have been better:
👉 Like the first book, this is a short book, but I kept expecting more from the storyline and characters—e.g., I don't feel like I really got to know Mason
👉 I wish Holly Renee would've given more attention to Staci's backstory; to touch on such a heavy topic but not dive further into it felt odd
👉 Both of these characters are supposed to be anti-love/noncommittal but it very much gives insta-love

As a quick heads up, there is a lack of content warnings and this book mentions domestic violence.

This book was one of my most anticipated books for this month. Staci and Mason are pretty much cut from the same cloth so to speak when it comes to relationships. They don’t do them and it was nice seeing them break their rules. Staci was had this whole tough chick vibe going but on the inside there was another side she kept hidden. As the story progresses you see why and it made me want to reach in and give Staci a big hug. Mason was a sweetheart and I loved how he called her out when needed. This was a fast paced story but given the couple it made perfect sense. This story isn’t as angst filled as “Where Good Girls Go To Die” but it was still a good read and I enjoyed catching up with the characters. I can’t wait for the next book as well!

I love the writing of Holly Renee she make you believe the characters are real. Mason and Staci are just great people to watch grow and to work out their characters throughout the story. I had happy and sad tears while reading about Staci's past and how loving the manwhore, Mason, was for her.

Staci is so, seemingly, strong! A badass, take no nonsense, tattoo artist who has commitment issues and she does not want to find Mason attractive at all! Mason didn't even have his sister's best friend on his radar until an unfortunate text came his way... BAM! A fantastic story is born.

I love the turmoil of the mixed up minds of both of these people; it makes for some addictive reading.
So much so that I could not put this book down until I finished; 3 am be damned!

I recommend this series and all of Holly Renee's books, they will captivate you completely.

Wow! I love these good girl books! The first one completely swept me off my feet and this one is no different. I loved the whole story! I was on my toes waiting to see how it would end and could not stop reading. The characters are super intense and maybe even a little forbidden. Which drew me in even more!

I loved the angst of these two characters coming together. Completely addicting! I can only hope there’s another book in this series!
