She tried to pull free, but his fingers only dug harder into skin.In some ways it's not an easy read, as Blake forces Aubree to face and accept the desires that she denies. I will warn you that occasionally it felt (almost) non-consensual (one of these is the first 'punishment' scene at the remote log cabin). Aubree didn't protest nor did she run screaming 'help me escape this abusive kidnapper' at the first opportunity either. She stayed with Blake, fully knowing the score.
She could yell, maybe scream out the generic safeword most clubs used. People would come - they'd come to help her.
Why couldn't she do it?
