Middletown Apocalypse #2

Middletown 2: Midtown Apocalypse

Rate this book
The idea was Gather a group of some of the best writers in the apocalyptic genre, give them parameters for a story, and let them go. That’s how Middletown Apocalypse came into being. The first book was an experiment...me wanting to show the world how individual writer voices can take on a single story and make it unique. And it worked. ...exactly how I’d expected. Mu. Ha. Ha. The reading public was surprised how well it worked. I was not. Why? Because there is some seriously good talent in the genre. Talent that could pull off what most would have normally considered an impossible feat. And here we are again. This time around we have some new writers, a new setting, a new premise (building slightly from the first), but the same idea...a collection of talent setting out to illustrate not only the power of “story”, but the power of the writer’s voice. I hope you enjoy the second edition of Middletown Apocalypse.

Another Awesome Anthology!

Once again some of the best horror authors of today were given a simple task. They were given two main characters, Markus Franke and Victoria Davis plus a simple outline of a story and let loose to write their own take of the story. After the disaster in Middletown, those responsible are now trying to cover their butts. All the stories told are very enjoyable and these authors certainly don't disappoint. This is a must read for anyone who enjoys great stories in the zombie/horror genre.

With an ingenious idea by Jack Wallen, Middletown Apocalypse was born and it was a great and novel book. Authors given the same outline and let loose to write their own story. With no two stories the same except for a name and location, the authors did quite an amazing job. Now a year later and we have Middletown 2 or as I was thinking while reading…the story of covering one’s own a**. Once again, the authors did a fantastic job of giving their version of the story from their unbelievably imaginative minds. It was so entertaining to see the different outcome of each and every story. Definitely a good read for those who love the zombie genre and if you are looking for a good series to read, then anyone of these authors would fit the bill! Kudos once again on a job well done by all of these authors and a big Thank you to Jack Wallen for coming up with the idea and seeing it to fruition!
