The latest effort from author Lolah Lace is a take on the Ugly Duckling with a modern twist. We all have that person who’s perfect in every way except as a potential mate or life partner because we aren’t physically attracted to them. As a result, we curve and friend-zone them, not realizing that they’re actually the best thing we’ve ever had. Until it’s too late…

Cheyenne and Logan meet as coworkers and become fast friends. She’s young, attractive, and upwardly mobile, while Logan is the same. Except he’s basic. In the looks department, that is. He’s the sweet guy that you love having around to confide in and just hang out with, but anything more serious? Hell nah, son…While Cheyenne is going through her string of loser relationships, Logan is quietly playing the background and being the dutiful male friend with no benefits—until tragedy strikes.

Logan disappears, literally, for three years, and we he comes back, he is virtually unrecognizable. Gone is Ryan Averagewhitedude and in his place is Ryan Gosling to the tenth power. Ol’ boy went to the gym and got buffed. Along with a new body came a new personality, one Cheyenne wasn’t particularly feeling, but her own body had other plans. Logan is on a mission: GTD. Get. The. Draws. But not just any draws. Cheyenne’s draws. Only Cheyenne has a man, but Logan Look-At-Me-I’m-Ryan-G has other plans. And this is where the story turns gritty and we see the new, the real Logan Kilgore.

As with any Lolah Lace joint, the story is filled with lots of dirty, and I mean pearl-clutching interludes. The things this man says and does to Cheyenne…whew. I had some issues with the “darker” elements of the story, specifically the way this new Logan asserted himself. I felt some scenes were borderline forced sex, but I guess you would call that coercion if she doesn’t flat out say “No” and ends up enjoying it, right? There is some disrespect of space and boundaries, which also left me kinda uncomfortable, but the story does end on a positive note and has a happy ending. As always, the story is full of hilarious moments, which takes the edge off of some of the more side-eye moments. Overall, I do recommend this story if you like it on the dirtier than sweeter side. Nothing wrong with that at all…

This is Cheyenne and Logan's story.

I see this story in two parts. Part one we are introduced to Cheyenne who is a woman who keeps making bad relationship choices. I believe she was unable to find the right man because she had "daddy issues" her dad was absent from her life and her mother would not explain why. These kinds of issues can make you mess up in relationships so we can all relate to this.

Cheyenne then meets Logan a white man to whom she is not attracted but becomes great friends with. Logan is always there for her, listens to all her relationship woes and he comforts her and takes very good care of her. Cheyenne relationship with Logan is one sided he does all the giving and she does all the taking. She does have feelings for him but she won't acknowledge them. She is 100% selfish in this relation, in my opinion.

Part two of the story is that Logan leaves without a word of explanation to Cheyenne, she is hurt by his disappearance but moves on with her life. Three years later Logan reappears in her life and his physical appearance is totally transformed. Cheyenne cannot accept the new Logan she wants the old one back that does not threaten her boring and predictable life. However, Logan has returned to claim what is his by any means necessary. Cheyenne tries to resist for all she is worth. She then does the very thing that most of her exes have done to her.

Part two is where the story gets messy, in my view. What do I mean by that? I mean all your preconceived ideas get challenged. All the "nevers" we have said get turned on their head. This story demonstrates for me that love can be a real messy business. Part two messes with your emotions and becomes a roller coaster of a ride.

I read this story in one sitting, I found it very engrossing and totally unpredictable and challenged the way I have previously thought about the whole issue of cheating. If you have read other stories by this author then you know that she will challenge the way you think about love and relationships. Definitely worth a read.

This is Logan and Cheyennes love connection. Sometime love finds you when you least expect it and definitely a different package than you expected it in. Cheyenne is a smart pretty young lady. She lives with her mother but will be moving out of her mothers home due to her mother moving back west to her hometown. The only family she's ever known is her mother she doesn't know who her dad is and that's always been a sore spot with her and her mother. As a result she keeps making the wrong choices with men. Darius is her current boyfriend tall dark line and he could put it on her. He put it on her so good he fried up her Coochie. With an STD. (Lord have mercy). Enter stage left Logan. Logan is not a bad looking guy but not what Cheyenne would be looking at has a boyfriend. However they do become good friends being that they both work at the same bank. And they sit next to each other. They even live in the same building. Logan clearly has a thing for Shyam however Cheyenne is completely oblivious in the beginning of this attraction. When she becomes aware of the attraction she fights it because the packaging is definitely not what she's looking for. It's funny how a wicked tongue game can make you change your mind about someone. Not to mention he was laying the pipe pretty good too!! AnyWho there's a lot of ups and downs slaps and kicks but these to finally do make it and I was the glad at the end. I recommend the story to you.

Ms. Lace serves up an extremely satisfying “friends to lovers” read with Logan Enchanted. Her delivery came across as authentic and so believable I felt that I had met these characters in real life. I did have some likeability issues with the heroine Cheyenne. She came across as shallow and selfish in her dealings with Logan. I thoroughly enjoyed the “new” Logan after his three years hiatus. He was aggressive and not abusive about what he wanted. I would have liked to see resolution between Cheyenne and her mother concerning the revelation about her paternity. However, the secondary characters helped round out this offering nicely and move the story along. Potential readers should take notice that Ms. Lace is known to tackle what some consider morally offensive subject matter. However, time and time again her writing proves that she is quite capable of handling this by her very relatable portrayals of her characters. Logan Enchanted offered equal doses of reality, steamy sexual encounters and laugh out loud humor, which is why I gladly recommend this offering.

Invasion of the body snatchers! This book was too much, I loved it. Cheyenne was funnier with every dramatic situation. And I was convinced Logan had been swapped with some alien bad boy. At the start of their relationship they were so cuddly cute, but it couldn't last forever. I normally don't enjoy books where one partner cheats on the other, but this book was too crazy not to be good. I was sucked into this one and I don't regret it.

WOW, Logan and Cheyenne's story blew me away and with it, Ms Lace just went further up in my estimation! Lolah Lace has always been one of my very favourite authors of this genre, but with each book, I love her even more.

I loved Logan and Cheyenne's story so much, it kept me up all night because I wanted to read it all the way through. This story for me was very realistic and not all frilly romance, hearts and flowers. In the beginning, although Cheyenne did care for Logan, she took him for granted. Logan in turn was no mug and didn't let his feelings for her turn him into a doormat. I wasn't happy with the way he just took off, but I didn't begrudge him for it either.

I know the way Logan behaved when he came back into Cheyenne's life will make some uncomfortable, but I actually sat up and thought, good for you! He came back drop dead gorgeous, armed with a spine and a hint of arrogance that wasn't there before. But most importantly, the Logan of old was still very much alive. I feel that Logan had to do that to send a message to Cheyenne that he won't be messed around. Plus, it served as self preservation in case Cheyenne messed him around.

This book worked for me on so many levels, I loved it THAT much. I have always maintained Ms Lace has a way with words, and in this book she weaves so much comedy into the story, I was cracking up all the way! The conversations between Cheyenne and her bestie, Sheba, between Cheyenne and Logan and Cheyenne's thought processes were so hilarious they had me howling out in laughter. The element of comedy also added to this book's charm. I only wish we'd been treated to a bit more of Logan's POV.

I absolutely LOVED it and would go as far as to say it's deserving of an A* rating.

This is a story about Cheyenne and Logan. Two work colleagues who have an unusual friends with benefits (for one person) relationship. The benefits are enjoyed by Cheyenne. And this is where I have a problem with this book. I did not like Cheyenne's character. I found her to be self-centred shallow and self-absorbed. She basically used Logan who was a kind and sweet person for her own benefit.

I wish we got to read more of the story from Logan's perspective. The one time we had Logan's perspective came at an odd point in the story and I felt didn't add much in the way of helping the reader understand Logan's feelings.

All-in-all, this was an entertaining read. 3.5 stars from me.

This was sensual and amazing. Books about love triangles are my favorites. Lolah Lace delivers every time. She's great at creating characters that are flawed. She's hands down one of the best at producing heros who are percieved to be jerks, yet so charming and appealing, you can't help but to fall in love with them.

It's a superb story, with brilliant characters that shines. It might shock you or it might just make you say wow.
Loved it!!

If you're a fan of love triangles, let me introduce you to Lolah Lace. In my opinion one of the best when it comes to writing IR love triangles. If you're a prude then this is definitely not the book for you.

This story is about Logan and Cheyenne. I liked how Lolah Lace wove this story. You get the background of the story first then you get to the story so it’s told in two parts. You first meet Logan and Cheyenne when Cheyenne has just “broken” up with her boyfriend and she started a new job. Logan is the person that was assigned to sort of mentor her at work. Logan and Cheyenne spend a lot of time together…carpooling, having sleep overs, etc. I almost felt that their friendship was one sided as Cheyenne almost seemed selfish in how she dealt with Logan. I felt sorry for Logan because he seemed like a really good person. Cheyenne was very superficial to me in that she didn’t look at Logan as a possible love interest even though things had happened between (well one-sided things). She kept Logan in the “friend” zone because of who she perceived him to be (he was too nice, “fluffy” and also white), she like tall dark men. This part of the story ends with Logan leaving abruptly and not telling Cheyenne goodbye or anything.

The second part of the story finds Cheyenne in a relationship with Juan who seems to love her and she him. He was a good guy, he treated her right, didn’t cheat on her (as far as she can tell). It’s been a couple of years since she’s seen or heard from Logan and she was surprised in out of the blue she hears from him. Cheyenne was really hurt when Logan left abruptly and really didn’t want to rekindle their friendship but she did any way. Unfortunately things get a little complicated because Logan pursues Cheyenne as a love interest even going so far as to tell she “owes” him for the things that he did in the past. The second part of the story goes from bad to really bad to good. It does have a happy ending for the couple unfortunately that happily ever after is fraught with twist and turns. I like the story because it showed me that love is not always enough, you have to fight for it sometimes and sometimes fighting for it you have to get dirty with it. You have to be able to pick the right person, not the person that looks good on your arm but the person that listens to you and understands what you are going through without judging you, someone you can be yourself with. Read the story to see how Cheyenne, Logan story ends.

ARC for an honest review

I really enjoyed this book. When I first started reading it I thought the female lead Cheyenne was relateable. She was looking for true love and so far all she found was bunch of liars and cheaters. When she met Logan she liked him as friend but wasn't attracted to him. I did start to get irritated with her for using him, it seemed everything was one sided. She didn't even hug him when his father died or provide any sort of comfort because she didn't want to send the wrong message yet she was willing to let him give her oral on the regular. I think she knew he had feelings but ignored it because he gave her whatever she wanted and could keep him in the friends category. Because she was led to believe her father abandoned her and she had bad luck with men, she liked the chased and liked being wanted. Logan provided her that safe comfort.
I wasn't even mad at Logan for leaving like he did because he was hurt and he had other issues to deal with. Chey was selfish in the friendship, she really didn't know anything about Logan. 3 years later he returns looking hot and sexy. He has changed and decided to aggressively go after what he wanted and he wants to try again with Chey but she wants to go back to the way things were before where he worshiped her and could date other people. But he wasn't having it. I think he gave her plenty of chances to admit her feelings but she wouldn't. I feel bad that she had to become what she hated(a cheater) to realize Logan was the man for her.
I liked Sheba, she was a good friend who kept it real. I glad the couple got their HEA because I was wanting Logan to move on find someone who reciprocated his feelings. Overall the story was good and not over the top.

Let me start with the good. This was a great story Lolah Lace continues to be one of my favorite authors. I actually liked the main character Cheyenne (story told from her point of view). Yes she was a little selfish but she even questions herself when she makes stupid decisions. I thought she was realistic and I actually wasn't mad at her for not wanting Logan because she wasn't attracted to him previously. You honestly can't make yourself attracted to someone but I think she was always in love with Logan but couldn't see past the exterior. I loved her friendship with both Logan and Sheba the author really did betray them as genuine friends.

The bad....Ok I actually criticized another author for this as well...I get it that Logan came back as an alpha male and was determined to have Cheyenne in his bed sense I believe that was the only way to get her back but that one scene was whoa....I was actually uncomfortable reading it and I found it to be unjustifiable. If a man came at me like that I would be terrified. The other issue is that the authors makes Logan a complete ass who specifically stays that he just wants to "fuck her" even when Cheyenne ask he says it's about sex so why would she leave a good stable relationship for a man that wants a booty call. A lot of it was miscommunication I would say on Logan's part we don't even get a thought out of him until the last two chapters. It would have been way more beneficial to the reader to see where this character was coming from.

Even though I had some issues overall it was a good book and I look forward to reading more from this author.

I just finished reading Logan Enchanted. Omg!! I did not think it was possible to fall in love with Lolah Lace anymore than I already was after A Constant Reminder, but I did. Honestly I did not connect with Cheyenne and Logan at first. I could not tell where the story was going, but I kept reading and started to really enjoy it. This book had me laughing out loud with my eyes widening so many times through out the book I lost count. Gosh! Did I say I was in love with her writing?? What I gets me excited about Lolah's books is that she taking you on a journey that can be someone's reality somewhere. She really isn't afraid to go there tackling topics this time around about self-identity, infidelity, submissive and dominance behaviors. Thank you Lolah for giving us ladies another book to read and another Fantasy Man named Logan aka (Calorie Killa) to day dream about. By the way.. Where you listening to Enchanted by Corrine Bailey Rae? I fill like that song could be the theme song for Logan Enchanted.

I received this as ARC.
I love this book. It had good character development, and strong storyline. It was fast pace and keep my interest. My first thoughts were the first sexual interaction was extremely weird. I almost put the book down. I liked how the h changed and developed. At first she started looking at the physical characteristics of a man the over the years she started looking at what is meaningful in a relationship. The H changed from a doormat to a strong alpha male. Which is always a turn on.

Enchanted!!!!

This is one of my favorite authors but I must admit that I had no idea what to expect. However I totally enjoyed it, I found it to be quirky, hilarious and adorable; I'm spite of some of the serious topics covered.

Cheyenne and Logan had an instant connection from the first time they met. There relationship developed over time from friendship to one of friends with benefits. The few twists and turns made it a very interesting, hilarious at times, read.

If I could give this book any less than a one-star-rating... I so would. There's nothing to like about this story, the way it was written, the characters, the abuse, the cheating. It's probably the worst book I have read EVER. I can't believe it even got written.... I'm speechless.

Contains spoilers:

This book was maddening from the very start. I wanted to feel bad for the heroine but there was no compelling story. She makes the same mistakes over and over again and the author does not give the reader any reason to care. I found myself skipping through parts. I did however like the heroine's inner thoughts from time to time. Logan's character was extremely disturbing. At the beginning of the book, he seems nice and all and then disappears from the heroine's life. There are parts at the beginning where he sexually assaults her. Not once does he get consent. He just sticks his fingers in her vagina while she is asleep and emotionally vulnerable. This is done out of nowhere. The heroine has mixed feelings about all of this. She felt sexual pleasure but feels that what happened and what he did was wrong. (That is because it was wrong, sweetie *SIGH*)Her biggest concern is whether or not she is cheating on whoever she is currently dating. So fucking dumb. Logan returns and becomes this smug piece of shit and a full blown rapist. He demands sex and gives vague answers about his disappearance. He gives her ultimatums when she says NO to his sexual advances. No longer is her friend from years ago present. It seems their so called "deep friendship" meant nothing to him. He never really cared about her. He was just trying to get into her pants. Now that he has a nice body and apparently looks like Ryan Gosling, that means he can demand sex from anyone he so chooses. This is a DISTURBING message. If you're going to make a book about blurry lines of consent then just go all in. There is no point of trying to build characters if all you want to write about is sex and pleasing men. There was no deep message to this story. You think there will be one from the book's synopsis. The author is confused with the alpha male trope and the whole strong, independent woman trope. I've read many erotic books and I enjoy the genre. I've also read many romance genres and I enjoy this genre as well. Some of my absolute favorite books are erotic romance books. Some authors just can't seem to mix the two genres together. None of the character's actions make any sense. I was horrified by Logan's actions. And I was furious with the heroine. Notice that I keep writing heroine because I don't remember the idiot's name. I only remember his name because it's in the title. Lastly, the writing is horrible. Grammatical errors almost every page. Do not give this book a try or give this author any of your money. And most importantly, do not give this author any of your valuable time with this piece of shit book. My rating: F.

Not your traditional HEA

If you are looking for fairy-tale laced HEAs, this is not it. Not to say that this ending isn't a happy one, the road traveled to get there isn't laid out with yellow bricks. The heroine is so jaded by her prior relationships that she has a hard time seeing what's right in front of her. The Hero only has one goal and is determined to do anything to accomplish it. Even if it means shrugging off true feelings to placate his true love. This is a great read and I love Lolah's works.

Enchanted

Logan took what he wanted, and he wanted Cheyenne. Cheyenne was so indecisive. She looked at the outside thinking that those qualities would endure the men to her. She knew exactly how Logan made her feel, but didn't want to admit it. As much as she fussed about protection, Cheyenne allowed Logan to do what he wanted, because she really wanted what happened happen. This is a good read.

Excellent read

I really enjoy reading this author books she knows how write an alpha male and erotica and give you a real story. I'm always searching for that in a book and she delivers. Cheyenne and Logan had chemistry from the beginning but Cheyenne was too caught up her pain and what she think she needed to really see Logan. I didn't know where the story was going to go in the beginning but it keep me glued to each page. I love an unconventional love story.

Loved the twists and turns!

Loved this take on the will they won't they saga. It was also quite exciting to wait almost to the last minute for the inevitable to happen. The author made some good points in her summation at the end, major events in life can send us on unexpected paths and change people permanently and Love remains unpredictable as ever even in all that. I enjoyed this book

This was a really good book

I will admit that I did want to slap Cheyenne from time to time but I LOVED Logan. Ms. Lace did an amazing job of bringing these characters to life. They were real people with real problems. I'd read Boss Lady some time ago and wanted to try another book by this author. I'm so glad I did. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

This was good. Logan was a little psycho at times. I don't like how they did Juan. I was very disappointed in Chey, she had the same thing happen to her a number of times. She should have known better. Overall a good story.

Agree to disagree

For the most part, I loved this book! Characters were strongly written, very little spelling errors, and a HEA, but towards the end I was not wasn't rooting for the hero, Logan, but for the Heroine. I wanted Cheyenne to be strong and find out more about herself. I wanted Logan to stop with the Alpha BS and just be a man. Overall this story provokes you to think about do you want a prince or a gladiator, or is there a mix of the two?

In this latest by author Lolah Lace, we get taken on on different kind of love story between Logan and Cheyenne. These two unlikely characters will have you opening up to a newer realm of possibilities and seeing love in a different way. Cheyenne has had enough bad experiences experiences in the game of love but surprisingly she's not as jaded or not willing to give up on finding someone to settle down with. After starting a new job she meets Logan a fellow coworker who is assigned to training her in their department. The two quickly develop a surprisingly close friendship. Cheyenne and Logan become even closer once she ends up moving into the same building as him. This book really had me thinking giving the personalities of the two and everything they have been through together and separately. It's gives a new meaning to opposites do attract. Give this book a read it will definitely have you thinking a little differently

First off, when you are pretending to deal with the hurt, you really have to let go of the baggage that comes along for the extended vacation. Chey had been hurt just as I am sure everyone has experienced but she never truly let go and trust was not freely offered. Logan comes along and far exceeds ......... Logan knows who and what he wants. Will he be able to look beyond the walls to the woman he knows is underneath? Will Chey run him away? Or will Chey open up before it is too late? My honest review is that you will fall in love with Lolah's writings as I have. Great read!
