Resisting Her Army Doc Rival by Sue MacKay is truly a heartfelt tale. I was instantly taken with the story from the beginning. The two main characters were believable. Each one had a tough life. Both held secrets that tore at the daily. Keeping them from enjoying life to its fullest.

Maddy went through a trauma event that left her scarred. It might even have left her infertile. Her husband left her because of her scars...that left Maddy feeling worse. As the time went by, she went back to school to finish her degree and enlisted as an army medic. A doctor. There she finds someone from her past...

Sam.

Sam is the current army medic. He's been at his post for a year. He only has two weeks left to make sure the new medic is comfortable then he's gone. But to his surprise...he meets none other than the smart pretty girl from his past. No longer a girl but a beautiful, clever, and strong woman...

Maddy.

Together for two weeks, they fight the mutual attraction for as long as possible. Then, Maddy pushes Sam's buttons and then all secrets are out...where they go from there if ever, is for readers to read...overall, I fell in love with this medical romance story. Resisting Her Army Doc Rival was everything I had hope for...plus, more. I recommend it to all.

Resisting Her Army Doc Rival

They knew each other when younger. Now both doctors and active duty surgeons. Now overseas in the desert their world has collided. Can these two people have a chance of finding love while hiding behind their own pasts? They both have shadows that blind them from feeling deep love.

Madison Hunter finds it hard to get close to people, especially men, after how her ex-husband treated her once he learned the heartbreaking truth about the scars she tries so desperately to hide. Yet, there’s something about Sam Lowe, the gorgeous Army doctor she went to High school with and is now working alongside that makes her want to let down her guard. Except Sam has his own emotional wounds, and unless they can overcome whatever they’ve both been through together, then they don’t stand a chance at the happy ever after they both deserve. Read More
