*** Just loved it!! I'm going to miss these boys so much until next year... ***

RE READ JUNE 2016

Well,I've read these books virtually back to back and I've been a very happy girl. These men are just the best together.Dirty, sexy, sweet and perfect together.

In this book they are supposed to be dead so have to stay under the radar...
Seth is suffering mentally and physically after the events from the last book.He feels insecure and unattractive after the injuries he sustained and as a result the physical side of his relationship with Dom is suffering.Dom tries so hard to be patient but just wants the old Seth back.

As usual, with these two, trying to stay out of trouble is impossible.
Dana(so far don't like her) is still present and being trained by Dom.Something Seth is not happy with as Dom spends so much time with her.
A great new character is introduced as well.
Mark is a 16 year old runaway, has no self worth, feels totally unloved and whores himself out to men

They first meet Mark when he finds himself in a comprising position gone out of control with a sexy biker,Jed who is a member of the Coffin Nails MC.
Having read the Sex and Mayhem series by these Authors I was so loving their involvement in this book.
I mean what's hotter than M/M biker action....

The encounter with Jed sees Dom and Seth getting involved in the MC world and things take on a violent turn.

Dom is just as bossy and sexy and dominant and gorgeous and insanely jealous of Seth.
Seth is just adorable and cute and hot and doesn't think about his actions where Dom is concerned.

These two bicker and fight something fierce but my God,the make up sessions are so worth it!!

I've got a few favourite M/M couples but I think these two are definitely number one.
I just bloody love this series and can't wait for the next part of their journey!!!!!

I’m actually surprised at how sugary sweet Seth and Dom were in this! I’m kind of happy to see how much they have both embraced the pure and all-consuming love they have for each other, especially without losing their banter. I mean, they still fight and bicker, but it’s done with such passion, and they always cuddle and make up straight afterwards.

Mark was an interesting addition to the series, but I’m not sure yet how I feel about him. I do like that there’s a new person added to their dynamic to make things a little different, and I do find it pretty cute to see Seth and Dom take on a parental role. Yet, I somehow also wasn’t thrilled about Dom feeling so much affection and protectiveness over someone other than Seth. I don’t know. I’ll have to wait and see how I’ll end up feeling about Mark in the long run.

My favourite parts of this book were definitely at the beginning when Dom was afraid Seth no longer wanted him. I really loved seeing Dom wanting to fight to win back the adoration of his man, and seeing Dom feeling so hopeless when he was afraid he might lose him. I honestly just swooned over all his pining. I actually wish this stage would have gone on quite a bit longer.

My biggest problem with this book, however, was the general plot. It dragged and was a little boring. I couldn’t find it in myself to care much about it, and I definitely wasn’t interested in the cross-over with the Coffin Nails MC.

All in all, I have really grown to love this couple so much, and I love Dom and Seth as individuals too!

How they are able to keep up the quality and still throw (earned) curveballs amazes me. This is a very different setting, and it’s super cool.

Gritty realism is on full display here. They’re in the South, so the guys are careful about holding hands, hugging and touching in public, lots of shoulder turns.

Swamp Blood is even more hilarious than Homicidal Instinct. Tons of laugh-out-loud moments—Seth and the alligators, Seth still upset about the piglet, Seth and Dom arguing in Walmart, the Oreos in the truck—Domenico freaking out about that had me dying.

Dana and Mark don’t detract from the main story. I was scared that they would. Instead, they strengthen it. I am loving this crazy and awkward found family dynamic.

Seth is so self-conscious, but that’s to be expected when he’s always had such an amazing body. And Dom is still crazy jealous and possessive. It’s hot.

It’s beautiful when they make love again. Of course Domenico accepts Seth as he is. Mr. Schwangau is back! So hot and also funny. I enjoy that they do it everywhere—the living room, the hospital, the bathroom at the motor cycle club, the kitchen table, in the woods. With versatility, oral, rimming, and them just being super-lusty men—they bring the joys of gay sex to life on the page.

Dom and Seth meeting the Coffin Nails is excellent. Damn, they lit me up when they mentioned Grim.

There are many elements of adventure in this book. The rescue raid is awesome. The guys are so brave, and it’s satisfying to see them making friends out of enemies. It’s always great to see Dom using his personas.

I’m looking forward to how things develop with Mark. He has many parallels with Domenico. And I’m curious about Miguel…

Dom ...

Gosh I love this character. His temper, arrogance, ego, jealousy, heart, and last but not least, his possessiveness of Seth. I love it all. Especially his love for Seth. But in this story we get to see a new side of Dom when Mark is brought into the story. He shows him some tough love but we also get to see the softer side we only usually get to see of Dom when he's with Seth. It just made me love this guy more.

Seth ...

This man is huge and yet such a teddy bear. I seriously want to dive into the story and cuddle with him. I LOVE this guy! He has such a big heart and I find his insecurities endearing to the point I just wanna hug him. He's such a sweetheart. I love all the crazy things he comes up with. Especially with the gator. Although that really doesn't work out the way he had anticipated. Yet, it was still quite entertaining and kind of hilarious even though the unfortunate ending of it. He is always jumping to conclusions and going straight in without really thinking things through. You can't help but love the guy.

These two characters fight hard but love even harder. Their love is

Seth isn't doing to well after the incident with Vincente and has developed quite a bit of insecurities. He's not in the shape he once was and has put on some weight. He's having trouble with the nerve damage in his hand making it hard for him to keep a grip on things. With the physical scars and the weight gain, Seth's not feeling that attractive and it's causing him to pull away from Dom.
Dom is having his own issues with the aftermath. He's disappointed in himself for not being able to protect Seth and is having horrible nightmares. So dealing with that and with Seth constantly shying away from any form of intimacy frustrates Dom. With help he comes to the conclusion that Seth may be cheating on him. So of course when he see's Seth chatting with an attractive guy it leaves Dom to do the only thing reasonable in his mind; flip his shit with jealousy that leads them into the chaos that unfolds.

There's loads of action. It's expected with these boys. Trouble finds them wherever they go and the Swamp was no different. From wrestling with gators to having jealous tantrums with bikers, there is nothing that surprises me with these boys anymore. They are so much fun to read about.

I must say I did not like Dana very much.

The way she treated Mark annoyed me so bad. She played on the poor kids insecurities and it really pissed me off. The kid had it rough as it was he didn't need this bitch making it worse.

Oh, Mark... This boy broke my heart. I enjoyed his character. He was a nice addition to the story. I really loved reading how Dom interacted with him and how much that interaction changed as the story progressed. Seth was of course a softie and just wanted to save Mark and take care of him. It really started feeling like Mark was there adopted child at the end. I can't wait to see how it goes with these three as the series goes.

I end up loving these guys more and more with every new book. I can't wait for the next one.

5 'intensely gratifying and explosive' stars

KA Merikan did it again. Dom and Seth are explosive as ever. I'm loving the inclusion of the teenage Mark and Coffin Nails MC as well. This series totally kickass!

Is a series full of love, passion, lust, action, suspense, friendship and main more.

The misfit team:
Domenico
- ex-mafia hitman and currently on the run with his lover, Seth. As his name imply, he is a total Dom to the core.

"Me? I'm Domenico Acerbi. I'm invisible."

Seth - ex-mafia prince and an awesome cook. Not much of a fighter, but is the courage that counts.

"If you die, I will go and get myself killed."

Dana - Dom's protege wannabe. Pretty kickass, but mostly a bitch.

Mark - a runaway and cocky little gay teenager

"You guys seriously not up for a threesome? I give good head."

Dom and Seth love hard and fight harder. They often can't stand each other and getting into squabble and argue like old married couple. But there is no denying they are both crazy and obsessively and insanely in love with each other.

I just figured the sooner I die of a stroke or hypertension, the happier you'll be. And that's what I do all the fucking time, try to make you happy." ~ Dom

Seth is not coping well and his self esteem is taking a hit after his encounter with Vincente in the last book. He is driving Dom crazy with his distance and foul temper. Meanwhile, Dom's crazy jealousy outburst is always entertaining and seeing how he went all alpha on Seth never fail to left me panting.

description

Mark is a runaway teenager who was performing tricks to get by. When Dom and Seth save him from a certain violent biker, Mark's miserable life seems to turnaround. I'm loving the backstory that KA crafted for Mark. On the outside, he seems like a little cocky shit, but after getting to know him, I can't help but wanting to go all mama bear on him.

I don't feel much for Dana, so when KA Merikan told me about this new character, Mark, I was instantly skeptical. I don't like anyone to disturb Dom and Seth's dynamic. But color me surprise that not only I ended up loving Mark, I actually want him to be a permanent fixture in the series. He is like a son that Dom and Seth will never have and I also enjoy seeing Seth and Dom's relationship from Mark's POV.

As Mark watched them, for the first time he wasn't fantasizing about a threesome, but feeling a bit like a third wheel instead.

The first half emphasize more on Dom and Seth's relationship issue and the introduction to Mark. While the second half is where the action and suspense coming in spade. Dom get to tango with the Coffin Nails MC and reluctantly gotten involve in a human trafficking organization.

I didn't read about the Coffin Nails MC series, but holy shit, they are the bomb! I read a lot of MC series, but with KA Merikan I know I shouldn't expect them to be cookie cutter. There are so much violence and mayhem and I felt sorry for the next person who cross path with Dom or the Coffin Nails.

Overall, I just gotta say this series still can surprise me. I'm not ready for this badass series to end anytime soon. Is always refreshing to read about new couple, but with Dom and Seth, I feel a special kind of kinship with them. I love knowing all their little quirks and their in depth history. They make me laugh, cried, heart palpate and doesn't want their story to end.

"Can't being the best I can be for you be a purpose?"
"You are already the best for me, Seth."

*4.5* I absolutely love Seth and Dom. Their juvenile arguments, their sense of humor, the deep and genuine emotional attachment they have for one another is incredibly beautiful.

“You are my purpose. Can’t I be yours?”

The Oreos, Dom’s jealousy at the gym, the banter, the HOT outdoor, intimate sex, Seth’s insecurities about his body, Dom’s “other” personalities, Mark and his sweet venerability...this overall story was so damn good!!

The humor in this one helped to counteract the violence, but I will admit to being a bit overwhelmed with the depravity of human trafficking in this one. It’s quite brutal, and hard to separate fact from fiction when you know this dark underbelly of society actually exists in the real world.

“I love the steady way you hold me,” Seth whispered. “Like you’d catch me whichever way I fall.”

Swamp Blood was another exciting addition to the Guns n’Boys series. Oh how much I loved it. These two boys have my heart. Despite their bickering, outbursts, and temper tantrums, these two love each other so deeply and would die without the other.

Seth struggles with his physical appearance and inability to keep up with Dom and Dana. He’s filled with insecurities and is pushing Dom away. He’s feels like a burden. Dom is dealing with own demons as he relives the brutality Seth went through in his nightmares. Things are tense between them.

"All Domenico wanted was to have his happy, sexy boyfriend back. It almost seemed that the more Seth healed, the more frequent and intense Domenico’s nightmares got, and each one chipped at his soul. Piece by piece."

I wish I could slap some sense into them sometimes. And god lord Dom, he’s as intense and crazy with his jealousy as ever. However, when they resolve those issues and come back together…perfection. The heat, the sex, the love between them…. it’s all just so beautiful.

“You will never bore me. I told you already,” said Dom, and his grip became stronger around Seth’s arm when Seth’s sore leg made him stumble a bit. “You are my purpose. Can’t I be yours?”

"The adoration in his eyes when he looked up was what Dom lived for. The essence of his existence. He did know his worth, but at the same time, hearing it from the man he loved never failed to get to him in the best possible way."

This book is so far the funniest in the series and hands down one of the funniest I’ve ever read. I literally had tears in my eyes! From Seth’s and Dom’s remarks and actions to Dana - she’s really growing on me, and the whole gator obsession and incident. I died. Thank you, KA.

Despite the humor it did get dark and gritty.

Dana and Mark grew on me as well. I didn’t know what to think of them at first, but I love the weird found family thing they got and am excited to see how Mark settles in as he's now officially in the fold.

This story is also filled with action as they have to deal with a motorcycle club, human trafficking, and a rescue mission. Meeting the Coffin Nails was exciting. I know they have their own series, so I’m looking forward to it. I really want to know more about Jed and Grim!

Overall another wonderful addition to the series. I’m excited for the next book!

This story really got under my skin!!! I LOVED the fourth book in the most amazing series ever!

Even if I felt the need to read all the books in a row, I didn't want it to be over too soon, and then have to wait not so patiently for the sixth book that's coming next month, on March 2017.
I also wanted to read in between some other books I've already bought. But the problem is after reading THIS amazing series, it's very hard to connect to other writing styles. Expectations are too high. At least this happened to me.

Now that I have an ARC for Guns n' Boys: Bloodbath I can't read fast enough!!! *super excited*

Back to my most favorite couple: DOM and Seth! *fanning*

In this book they had such a difficult time trying to stay low, under the radar. I was sad to find a very insecure Seth and such a haunted Dom. They had to fight their own demons, but it pained me to read about the huge wall between them. I understood both their worries and fears, but I trusted they will find their way back to each other, and I was right.

Mark is a young (16 going on 17) but sweet new character, despite his painful past and awful decisions.
I didn't know for how long he will be staying with Dom and Seth, but I must mention I didn't trust him. I was afraid he'll make things harder for the both of them and again I was right, even if Dana "helped" a lot too... I hate her guts! I also don't know what's her deal. She is SO obsessed with Dom and wanting him as her training coach. I hope she'll not disappoint them even more than she already did. For now I can't stand her.

Well Mark grew up on me and also got under my skin. I knew our boys will not let him go that easily.

This book was a combination of sweetness and a lot of unexpected things: alligator wounds, blood, swamp, bombs, bullets, rescues, abducted victims, motorcycle club. About the latter I must admit I was surprised to bump into the Coffin Nails MC.
I've read some books in the Sex & Meyhem series, but I haven't read One Step Too Close: Coffin Nails MC Louisiana. Now I really want to read about Jed and Ryder! They had something going on, that's for sure! Ryan was too protective with Jed and I felt sorry for Jed to have to hide the fact he was attracted to men, because his club was full of homophobes! God, I wanted to punch them all, starting with Ryder, but then I realized nothing is what is seems and now I want to read their story too.

I don't want to give too much, but this book had my heart in my throat, again. Well I expected this since each and every book has such a unique way of getting to you and making you want for more.

Off I go to the next book, Guns n' Boys: Chokehold.

“I’d go to the depths of hell with you.”
Domenico grinned as if they just agreed to elope to Hawaii, and he grabbed Seth’s wrists, putting them over Seth’s head.
“You’d be safe in hell with the devil himself.”

Domenico Acerbi and Seth Villani are supposed to be dead. All they have to do is lay low for a while, until they make it to South America. Yeah, right.

Deep into the Louisiana swamps, the story goes on and it's packed with action. Gator wrestling, helicopters and tanks and more than one encounters with the local motorcycle club, the Coffin Nails (which is the perfect springboard for One Step Too Close - Coffin Nails MC Louisiana ). But above all, love, passion, funny moments and super steamy sex scenes.

Dom & Seth

This book starts with these two going through a rough patch in their relationship. Seth feels insecure about his injuries by Vincente and the fact that he has gained some weight. Dom doesn't know what he did wrong and is frustrated that Seth won't let him touch him. But they always find their way to each other and when they finally make love after so much time it is so very romantic and super hot *cough*role playing *cough*.

Dom is more possessive and in love with his man than ever. Seth is his adorable self, who always tries to help but he'd better stick to cooking. They still push each other away and fight hard, but they always make love harder.

Mark

Mark is a 16-year-old prostitute. He's a runaway and gets in trouble constantly. During one of these times, Dom and Seth are there to save him and eventually he sticks with them. At first, he is a burdain, another thing they must take care of. By the end of the story though, Mark becomes a member of their family. In more ways than one. But I'll leave that to see for yourself.

I know some readers do not appreciate multiple POV in their books, because in a way it "steals" space from their favorite characters. Personally, I don't mind provided that it benefits the story. Mark has his own POV here, and it does take a lot of space but this is definately an advantage. Not only he is an intriguing and very interesting character that is here to stay, but it was so much fun seeing Seth and Dom through someone else's eyes.

I don't know how I feel about that bitch, Dana. I'm pretty sure she's a sociopath and I don't trust her at all. But we 'll see how that goes.

Favorite moments:
*Dom getting all crazy jealous in the gym.
*Dirty hot sex and role playing outdoors.
*Seth getting drunk and trying to save Mark like he's starring in a crappy action movie.
*Dom after saving Mark one last time towards the end.

Needless to say,if this love story has crawled under your skin too, this is a must read. Highly recommended!

Why is Kat and Agnes being so cruel to my Seth? 😭 I’m hating them a bit in this novel. After being severely tortured and mutilated by his own brother, Seth is now suffering physically and mentally. 💔 He doesn’t wanna weigh Dom down with his issues but where would he go if not by Dom’s side? Meanwhile, Dom is dying to be close to Seth again physically and emotionally. These days, Seth seems to push him away further and further and Dom is afraid, Seth is going to lose his way back to Domenico. When Dom went caveman berserk over jealousy towards Seth’s gym instructor, things went hell pretty quickly. 😁 Now, not only the whole mafia is after them, a very influential and outlaw motorcycle club members are after them for a payback for blood too. Since there’s no way out and simply because there’s no choice, Dom agreed to do this MC’s bidding to find a lost sibling of one of their members. Meanwhile, true to his nature, Seth has picked up a stray again. 😂 But the problem is this time, it’s not a hen or a cat, it’s a teenage boy. No matter how Seth wants to keep Mark, their life is simply not suitable for adolescent boy. 😢 Meanwhile, Domenico realizes the case after a lost woman is much more than what it seems. Will Dom and Seth be able to over come all things against odds to find a place called home?

Very very very angsty. 💔 I ugly cried several times. 😭 This series is legendary for a reason. The emotions are so raw, so pure and so realistic that you are Dom and you are Seth at the same time while reading this book. 😌 It’s very difficult to make the readers not only to sympathize but to empathize with the characters but K.A. Merikan delivered it beautifully in this story. Seth and Dom is still and will always be going strong. I loved how their love can even become more and more with each and every story. And I love the introduction of Mark in this story. I can’t wait to read more about the adventures of my favorite couple. And I can’t wait to see this two finally tying the knot. 😍

OMG !! These authors are so wonderful !
We get another amazing, gritty, story of Seth and Dom, and the uniting of the story with the characters from the Coffin Nails series, in Louisiana, which I also love !
Dom

Dom and Seth are hiding out after the torture and rescue. Poor, beautiful, Seth, has some terrible wounds to deal with, mentally and physically.
Seth

They both let their hair grow and Seth has a beard to cover a scar.

He and his sexy alpha man, Domenico, are fighting and not communicating very well. Together they save a kid from the wrath of a biker, and it ignites tensions with the guys and the club. Later on, the men come in handy when helping the Coffin Nails find a human trafficking group. There is lots of hot sexiness, rough and crude language, and action packed violent episodes, too.
The kid, Mark, has nowhere to go,

and stays with the guys for protection. Mark is 16, sassy, snarky, and full of stupidity, but Dom must see something in him, and wants to help him, but does continue to scare him, testing him. Dana is still there as bodyguard and she is so cruel to Mark, I wanted to slap her. Dom finally sees it, and she's punished in his way. Tremendous writing, magnificent characters, and a full bodied story, all things that make this a fabulous read.

Each book can stand alone, but are SO MUCH MORE fulfilling if you've read the previous stories.
I'm looking forward to more from these guys, and they are headed south, with Mark in tow. You'll find out why when you read the story.
It's such an awesome story, I LOVED IT !
Very highly recommended ! ENJOY !

Whew, what a ride this was.

I think this was the first true test of Seth and Dom's relationship. Not that they haven't been tested before and gone through some shit, but this was a big one. A big "will they be able to get past this?" type of deal. Even with Dom's amnesia, it didn't feel this bad.

But after the first 30% or so, these two had their blow up and got back on track, and it was beautiful.

Because it's been about 3 months since the end of the third book, and Seth has some shit going on. For the first month he was truly recovering, but now he's put on some weight and still has trouble even holding things sometimes with his right hand, and so he feels unattractive and useless, and it makes him start to pull away from Dom.

And Dom, since Seth isn't talking to him, doesn't know what the problem is, and is forced to come to his own conclusions. Like maybe Seth doesn't want him anymore or love him anymore (lol laughable. As if!)

Things come to a head when the idea of Seth possibly cheating on Dom is brought up by Mark, the 16 year old kid who Seth and Dom save from being assaulted and who Seth doesn't want to leave behind.

When Dom tracks down Seth, he sees him in a gym working out - but of course, with a good looking dude there (because what else, amiright?) and by now we know how Dom would and does react to that.

But, when Seth and Dom fight, it's big (like Dom shooting a wine bottle that Seth is holding and Seth dumping all the chocolate into a swap...it's a whole thing), but then once they both cool down, they can actually talk...and make up (and it is very hot, of course.)

The rest of the novel is mainly about Dom doing something for the biker gang, Coffin Nails MC (which is a series, as I understand it) to make up for pointing a gun at Jed, a guy in the gang. And of course it can't be something simple and easy, even when it seems like it is. Even when things seem to be settled...it isn't, and there's a crazy big fight near the end, as all of these books seem to have so far.

After Seth and Dom's big fight, though, they're pretty solid throughout the rest of this book (but seeing the blurb for the next book...that'll change, of course.) and I love reading about them together, being so in love and such a great team.

Seth works through his insecurities and Dom gives a little on his protectiveness of him (not much...but enough that Seth doesn't feel useless and like he can't help Dom the way Dom helps him all the time.)

We also get introduced to Mark, who is going to have his own journey, no doubt. He starts out as a hooker, surviving day by day, barely, but by the end he's with Dom and Seth, like their little brother or their son, in a way. He gets close to both of them, but especially Dom, who gains a soft spot for Mark. I loved their relationship too, and seeing Dom let in someone other than Seth. Not in the way he does Seth, but just letting someone in enough to care about them and go to great lengths to keep them safe as well.

I really am loving this series, and I can't wait to read more, even the angst. As long as these two work through it at the end of the day, I say bring it.

Onto the next!

Wow, what to say about this book! This series just gets better and better and better, with every installment. And now I must wait for book 4!

Swamp Blood takes our boys down south where they are staying under the radar while Seth recovers from his ordeal at the end of Homicidal Instinct. And I felt so bad for Seth at the beginning of this one. He's been through so much and Seth was not cut out for the kind of life he was thrown into. Seth is like a puppy - he's happy-go-lucky, and insanely loyal to Dom and he just wants to live his life without people trying to kill him all the time. It really shouldn't be too much to ask. Well... At least he has Dom. But he starts this book like a sad puppy. His bounce was all gone and he was feeling insecure about his body and his life.

And Dom just wants Seth to be ok. And he wants a lot of sex, which Seth isn't into because of his insecurities. I was sad. But Dom loves Seth more than life and even though he misses his Seth terribly, he gives him the space he needs to recover and continues to take care of his man. It's weird to see someone like Dom be so nurturing, but it was sweet.

Never fear, though, we do get our Seth back. And like the Seth of old, he doesn't always think things through and he has a tendency to do some really stupid shit. And, again, thank goodness he has Dom.

And in Swamp Blood, they pick up a couple more people, too. Dana, the assassin from the last book, is training under Dom. I didn't like her and didn't trust her. At all. She's a snake. Cold blooded and calculating. And they also pick up a 16 year old boy named Mark, who is trying to make his way to some guy named Fred, whom he met over the internet (yeah, that'll go well) and Dom and Seth rescue him from a bad situation.

All I've got to say about this book is that these guys don't lay low very well. And thank goodness. Could you imagine 300 pages of nothing happening because they were hanging out on hammocks reading books, watching the world go by? That's my dream life, but it would make for a boring book. Nope, Dom, Seth and company, can't just sit around.

And K.A. Merikan knows just how to pull me into a story and make me love it even when the morality of the main characters is questionable at best. I don't know how they do it, but damn. I love this series so much, I could just keep gushing! I hope we don't have a huge wait for the next book.

How much do I love Seth and Dom?

They are in my top favorite couples. Not of the light and fluffy variety, but of the fucked-up-but I-still-love-them kind. Similar to Ben and Nik, for those who have read More Heat Than the Sun series.

Swamp Blood picks up 3 months after the previous book left off. Seth and Dom are not connecting well since Seth's torture at the hands of Vincente. Seth is all kinds of self-conscious about the scars left behind on his torso and the extra pounds he's put on while having to heal. Dom is having nightmares about witnessing Seth's torture and is jumping to all kinds of conclusions about why Seth won't let them be even remotely intimate.

This could be solved with just a smidge of honest communication. But that's hit or miss for my beloved Dom and Seth, and it's miss in this case. That is until.......some outdoor role-playing. Yowza!

Merikan introduces us to the Louisiana chapter MC for One Step Too Close - Coffin Nails MC Louisiana. Ryder and Jed are gonna be interesting! That kind of internal homophobia is gonna explode on page.

As for the other two additions to Dom and Seth's family in this book:
Mark is a 16 y/o runaway who latches on to Dom and Seth. He is clueless and adorable and I loved him to pieces! He's been through more than any 16 year old should have to, and he's still standing and still naïve enough to believe in the good in people. All of his innocence hasn't been stripped from him. But he's grown enough through his tribulations to know that life sucks. He knows that Dom and Seth aren't the "good" guys, but they are anyway. I am so glad he was added to their family!

Dana - the little "apprentice" whom Dom is training. This bitch needs to get what's coming to her. Yeah - she's reliable when shit goes down, but I don't trust her at all. She's a bitch to Mark, she's a bitch to everyone but Dom. And mark my words, she will turn on them in a future book. And unfortunately, I now have to look forward to seeing her in One Step Too Close - Coffin Nails MC Louisiana as well. Sigh - I could've done without that.

Brilliant edition to the series. Merikan can't go wrong when they write Seth and Dom for me!

4.5 Stars!

In Swamp Blood, the fourth book in the Guns n’ Boys series, three months has passed since Seth Villani was injured and Domenico Acerbi “brokered” their deal for freedom. While still maintaining a low profile and traveling throughout the Louisiana bayou, Dom and Seth are tying to move forward in their new chosen lives. While each doesn’t have any regrets, the repercussions of what occurred continue to plague Seth and Dom in different ways. For Seth, he is physically scarred and needs to be able to prove his strength as a partner while Dom just wants to Seth as he is.

“I just don’t understand what I did that you keep pushing me away. What else could there be if not a man on the side?” Dom asked eventually.”

Added to the mix is Mark Copaescu, a 16 year old runaway with his own painful experiences. Trying to live on his own but failing miserably, he manages to draw the attention of Dom and Seth during a not so private moment. At first, Dom is resistant and Seth is welcoming but what ensues is unexpected and endearing as Mark ultimately adds to the ongoing storyline.

“Domenico raised his hand. “Rule number one, kid – don’t steal my food. Rule number two – never use the words ‘sweet’ or ‘cute’ when referring to men. Words and semantics matter.”

When Domenico’s temperament is tested, he manages to draw serious attention leading to unwanted complications. As such, he is forced to form a begrudging alliance with a local motorcycle club but also uncovers information that the Villani family might be involved in illegal activity in the south. In an effort to clear matters, Dom acts and feels the adrenaline rush that intoxicates his senses. Additionally, Seth rises to the task that sets a precedent in just how things are changing.

“I’d go to the depths of hell with you.” Domenico grinned as if they’d just agreed to elope in Hawaii, and grabbed Seth’s wrists, putting them over Seth’s head. “You’d be safe in hell with the devil himself.”

In each book of this character driven series, more layers are revealed showing the dimension to Domenico and Seth and also how they are evolving together yet remaining true to their core. With these boys, they have unbridled passion and a unique connection that compliment their own personalities. With what occurred in Swamp Blood, I’m anxious to see how these two continue as a couple. As always, Dom and Seth continue to scorch the pages of my Kindle leaving me a hot mess!

“Is that what you need? For me to take what I want, come in your mouth and make you swallow it all?”

Overall, Swamp Blood provides another dimension to the overall plot with emotional conflict, adrenaline spiked action and incredible character chemistry. I look forward to moving on to book five, Chokehold. For those who haven’t tried a taste of these Sicilian men, I highly recommend!

It's official, I'm addicted to these men...

I've given them a theme song. Seriously I don't do this very often but every time I read one of these books I end up at some point listening to this song so I've decided it's Dom & Seth's song. It's 'We've Got A Big Mess On Our Hands' by The Academy Is (blame my child he's my music muse). Anyways, here's the link if you're not familiar with the group or the song and maybe a bit curious...
We've Got A Big Mess On Our Hands

Things started out harmless enough. Dom and Seth are just trying to lie low, stay under everyone's radar long enough for Seth to heal and with any luck and get their relationship back on track if Dom has anything to do with it. Seems simple right? Nope, for Seth and Dom life never ends up being simple. Their train left the tracks to Simpletown right about the time they responded to a cry for help from the bathroom of an abandon rest stop only to discover the same young man they'd encountered earlier at the local WalMart and it's down hill from there. The next thing any of them know they're pulling up stakes and looking for another hideout only now not only do they have Dana in tow, they've got Mark they same young man that they rescued from the rest stop, the same young man who doesn't seem to be able to recognize the truth even if it jumps up and smacks him in the face. Add to this the fact that said young man and Dom's over the top jealousy have put them on the radar of the Coffin Nails Motorcycle Club. Throw in some illegal activity that even a club like the Coffin Nails frowns upon and the next thing you know Seth and Dom have got a big, big mess on their hands. One that takes them out from under the radar and plants them firmly in everybody's cross hairs.

I was drawn into this story right from the start and each page pulled me a little further into the swamp along with our MCs. But it was somewhere towards the 3/4 mark when I had my 'holy hell' sh*t just got real moment and couldn't stop reading. So while the first 3/4 of this book was probably 4 solid stars for me, the last 1/4 was 5 action packed give me freakin' more stars. So at the end of it all 4.5 stars rounded up here on GR because still no 1/2 stars and honestly that cover deserves at least a 1/2 star of it's own.

I loved that Dom and Seth finally started talking and both realized that they really didn't know what was going on in the other one's head. This went a long way towards helping them begin to resolve their problem and the personal growth that I saw from both of them was something that I really needed to keep me wanting more. At the end of it all our boys are on the road again and I just know where ever they end up I want to be there to see what happens next but in the meantime maybe I can find out what's up back at the Coffin Nails clubhouse.

Hmmmm...

.:

This seems to be a typical case of all-of-my-friends-loved-it-but-me. Maybe I should add that I'm not really into books about biker gangs and this story was apparently some kind of crossover with another series by the autors (Sex & Mayhem) about the Coffin Nails MC.

I don't know how much it was the book or how much it was me being sick that I did not really enjoy this story. I loved Guns n' Boys: Homicidal Instinct and I even thought that this series was getting better and better, but not for me I'm afraid. I debated with myself if I should write a review at all, because I want to be fair, but decided to steer a middle course and give it 3 stars to compensate any injustice.

The book began just great. Both, Dom and Seth, have to deal with the aftereffects of what was done to Seth by his own brother at the end of the previous book and I so felt for them.

I really get that it is hard for both of them to cope with the events...
Mario Blanco:

... but what followed was somewhat unnecessary drama. The ensuing ups and downs in their relationship, their fights and especially Dom's behavior felt a bit staged. A little less and I could have believed it. As it was, though, it was tiring and eye-roll inducing. For me, it felt like being back at square one just the other way round, because this time it was Dom whom I did not particularly like in this book and he was always my favorite so far.

He behaved like a self-righteous prick sometimes and was far too arrogant for my liking. Those who followed my reviews for the other books in this series know that it is quite a surprise - yes, for me too! - that I loved Seth more this time.
http://images5.fanpop.com/image/photos/27600000/Mario-Casas-mario-casas-27699213-245-266.gif

I really enjoyed his character development, with him finally standing up for himself and trying not to depend too much on Dom, it was more than I could have asked for.

Who I did not care much for was Mark, the little hooker Dom and Seth took in after saving him from trouble with a biker. With him behaving like a brat most of the time, I did not even feel sorry for him, at least not until the end, anyway. And don't get me started on Dana. I somehow I don't trust her, being sent after Dom and Seth by the mafia in the last book and jumping ship just like that. Something about her just feels off.

Enough with the rant, though. The sex was hot - just to give you a hint: role-play!!! - and the ending was as thrilling as in the other books, albeit a bit OTT.

I better stop now, because it is hard to think with a stuffed-up nose and a head that feels like being filled with cotton. ;-) I have read the first four books in this series, including the short story, almost back to back and maybe it is time for me to take a longer break from it, to read something in between, so I can enjoy the next book again.

Goodreads, sometimes I really hate you. I just spent the better part of an hour typing my review, only to hit save and have it disappear. I'm so furious right now!

But, my undying love for Seth and Dom will see me through this pain and I will survive. lol So enough of my bitching so I can tell you how totally great this book was and let you know that my obsession with Seth and Dom is still in full force.

If you are a fan of the Sex and Mayhem series, you are really going to enjoy this because Seth and Dom meet the Coffin Nail MC chapter in Louisiana. It's hot. It's steamy. It's bloody. It's awesome!

As the book starts, we meet a new character named Mark. He's only 16, but he's had to grow up fast because he's on his own and he's had to do things that he's not particularly proud of in order to survive. He is on his way to meet Fred, and everything will be better as soon as he can get to him. But getting to him is the big challenge.

Mark finds himself in a bit of a scuffle with a certain member of the Coffin Nails and guess who shows up and helps him out? Well, none other than Seth with one of his classic lines that stirs fear into any man....You better let him go, or...else. Seriously, how can you not love the man??

So Mark finds himself tangled in the Seth and Dom web (along with Dana). I loved Mark because he brought out the parenting instincts in Seth and Dom. He was so much fun to read because he was so much older than he was in some ways, but still such a teenager in others. Of course, he drove Dom crazy at times, but Seth was always so good with him.

Speaking of Seth, if you read the previous book, you know that the ending wasn't all that great if you were Seth. Fast forward to now, and Seth is still healing and he's feeling a little weird around Dom because he's let himself go a little and doesn't want Dom to make fun of him and make him feel like crap. Rather than talking to Dom, he starts to distance himself. No communication....typical men!

Some of my absolute favorite parts and when Dom takes a different approach and actually gets Seth to open up about his feelings. I really loved that part in the book. There were some good parts with Seth's beard as well ;)

So the boys find themselves owing the Coffin Nails and that's when the story goes into a direction I didn't see coming. I couldn't read fast enough toward the ending because it was really intense!

Was Dom able to put more trust into Seth to not screw things up when he needed him the most? Was Seth able to step up to the plate and show Dom he was his partner in every way??

Read this book and you will find out. Plus, you won't be disappointed because it's that damn good! I am so excited about the next Sex and Mayhem book as well because I think Ryder and Jed are going to be HOT, HOT, HOT!

Bye for now Seth and Dom, I can't wait to catch up with you in 2016!

What a crazy adventure - I'm definitly addicted and I NEED MORE. Now ... right now!

Okay ... I have to calm down first!

I'm desperatly trying not to think about Seth and Dom and their super hot sex, because that's not all this review should be about. But it's really not easy to get a grip on myself after this book.

Let's try anyways:

It's hardly a secret that Seth and Dom are one of my all time favorite m/m couples. I love the way they interact; they love each other so deeply, but they keep on fighting about the craziest things and of course they are making up for it in the end. I can't stop feeling with them, thinking about all they went through, about all the things that hurt them, but made them stronger at the same time. Seeing Seth struggle with the aftermath of his turture made my heart bleed for him and knowing that it is equally destroying Dom wasn't easy to read. But I definitly had the feeling that their relationship developed a lot in this part of the series - I guess I feel closer to them now than at any time before.

A part of their development is certainly due to Mark, a young stray Dom and Seth happen to save out of a dangerous situation. With abusive parents and no good opportunities in sight, Mark is willingly taking Seth and Dom's offer to stay with them for a while. And I have to say that I fell in love with Mark - he's such a great character and I was so afraid for him. I saw the plottwist coming a mile away, but I still got all angsty when it happened!

Dana on the other hand is still as unlikeble as ever - but I guess it won't be the last time that we heard from her. I'm really looking forward to the next crazy addition to this dangerous, sexy and very intriguing series!

5 stars - the best book in the series so far!

Hollywood where are you?? Please ... make a crazy action movie out of this! PLEASE!!

Swamp Blood is book 4 in the incredible journey of Guns n’Boys by @ka_merikan .

It’s getting old but I simply loved this book and to know that there are still so much to tell, it’s just makes my heart jump with joy 🥹

So our boys and Dana are in Heated Louisiana staying off the grid after the events of Homicidal Instinct.

They are licking their wounds and trying to get by all the psychical and emotional trauma left by the events of the last book…

We get to Seth in his lowest, struggling with all the damage that he went trough and the insecurities that take all of his being. Dom is also struggling with infernal nightmares that haunt his nights and also Seth insecurities that are getting them apart…

We meet a new addition to the family,Mark, who is caught in a shady bj situation and is rescued by our hero’s Seth and Dom.He is a teenager with a sad and complicated life very difficult to read, because he is so adorable and just wants to be a normal kid with a normal life.

This book was very funny, sad, infuriating, sexy, and full of action, and crazy missions! This has the most romantic declarations ever, let me just warn you!!!! Kat and Agnes can and will always surprise us🖤

We have alligators who love Cheetos, outlaw motorcycle clubs, living in a swamp shack and so much more.

There are hard topics here, because of a human trafficking grid they uncover, but we get some kind of closure.

Seth and Dom’s relationship hits the sky, they get to an understanding and promise to be 85% honest with each other😅 we also have the most hot scenes ever, because let me tell you when Mr. Schwangau takes charge the temperature rises to lava level!! 🔥🔥Seth also steps out of the dark place and shows us an incredible man who can also take charge and get stuff done, against the wall 🥵

I love seeing them together and I will never get tiered because there’s always something happening that makes their connection even stronger!

So now they are three and we can only hope for more fun!

**5 Fabulous Swampy Stars**

Another superb installment in the Guns n' Boys Series!! I cannot say how much I loved this book! It had everything. Love, Sex, Action, Alligators and a Tank. We see a familiar group here in Louisiana that could turn out to be friend or foe for the boys. You'll have to decide :)

This book starts 3 months after we saw Seth and Domenico escaping Vincente and his brutality. Both are struggling mentally. Both men need some hugs and to have an honest conversation about what they are feeling.

The guys save a boy named Mark. I loved Mark immediately. He was adorable and just needed some guidance.

"If you and Seth ever broke up, I'd be there for you, you know?"

"You're Creepy"

His interactions with Dom were priceless, yet not always as bad/good as they seemed.

There were a few times I was biting my nails and squirming in my seat wondering how the Hell they were going to get out of situations. Par for the course with these Boys I'd say huh?

I'd go to the depths of hell with you.

Through it all their love for each other shines through brilliantly.

Dana is turning out to be a totally manipulative Bitch! Yes, she is useful but she needs to get her mouth in check!

Again the last 10% were nerve-wracking and gut-wrenching. I can't give too much away, but I will say that I wish we would have had few more pages to see the positive effects from Dom and Seth's actions.

I want to thank the authors for an Arc in exchange for my honest review. Also I want to thank them for the bonus at the end. *squirming in my seat in anticipation*

I love this series HARD! Review previously at BMBR.

heart stopping
blood pumping
fast
furious
detailed and deep and violent

Action and adventure at the fore of every Guns n Boys book. Seth and Dom may have escaped Vincente's but they are still reeling from his reach. Living day-to-day, on the run, recovering physically and emotionally, life is not easy for these two. Especially with assassin Dana on the run with them. Seth is finding it hard going, when he rescues Mark from a biker predator he insists they need to look after him. It gives him something to focus on.

cold
calculating
intense
emotionally vulnerable
hurt and heartache and pain

Dom deals with the physical challenges no problem, the emotional ones are another matter.I love Dom. I don't know why, he's a cold-blooded killer, but there is a sense of vulnerability about him that we only see through Seth. Nobody who can love the way he loves Seth can be all bad. Right? It is a talent to make the reader love a character who is as flawed and bad as Dom is, but the Merikan's manage it. I keep wanting more of these guys. I love their relationship - the good, the bad and the ugly of it.

I was uncertain about them adding someone else into the mix. Dana, has no redeeming features as far as I can see, other than her loyalty to Dom. I dislike her for the way she makes Seth feel, especially as it is usually a calculated attack at Seth's confidence, so with her already in the picture, I wasn;t sure about the addition of Mark.

But I loved him. I liked the dynamic of a younger character in the mix and the way this affected the dynamics of the group. I liked Mark's unrelenting cockiness. He was showy and gobby and I'm not sure whether he needed Serth and Dom, or whether it was actually Dom and Seth who needed him. Maybe - probably - both.

I liked the biker gang (I'm pretty sure they are characters from another Merikan series, Sex & Mayhem, and I have purchased those books on the back of reading these because I love interconnecting stories and character crossovers), and I liked how the story moved away from just the Mafia, but never left dangerous ground. It was tense and intense form beginning to end.

KA Merikan are one of my favourite writing duos. I am always sure I will enjoy a book written by them, and I am yet to be disappointed. This series though, well it's a favourite of mine and I would absolutely recommend it to everyone who likes adventure, violence and a little bit of emotional constipation in their reading.

A copy of this book was given in exchange for an honest review.

For some crazy reason I love Domenico and Seth.
They have the emotional maturity of teenagers. Dom is a misogynist asshole. Seth is cute but weak and refuses to learn.
But I live for them and their brand of crazy.

I had mixed feelings with this particularly. I was excited about the Jed and Ryder cameo, they are my favorite couple in the Sex and Mayhem series. But I hated Mark. Maybe My dislike wouldn't be so strong if I didn't have to read his POV. Annoying.

This book tied some loose ends in two books in the Sex and Mayhem Series, One Step Too Close and His Favorite Color Is Blood. I believe we might still see some of the bikers in the next books.
If you haven't read that series is totally fine, the info in here doesn't leave you clueless. It's very vague unless you know what's going on.

I've had some Twitter chats with Kat Merikan and she said there are going to be around 15 books in this series. At first I was mad, I want a happy ending and I really don't want Seth to keep suffering but then I thought better about it and I'm ok with years of these two crazy mofo's having more adventures and I will keep reading until the day that I feel that I had enough.

This was my favourite of the series so far!

I hated seeing Dom and Seth so disconnected at the start of this book, but after they had suffered so terribly in the months before, I definitely understood their behaviour.
Poor Dom felt so powerless, which he hasn't been for a very long time. He was lonely and scared of losing Seth's love. It was really tough to read.

'He could wrestle the fucking alligator if Seth wanted it so much. Would that make him lovable again?'

Mark was such a fantastic addition to this series. Dom, despite his attempts to keep him at arms length, has really grown a soft spot for Mark. He wants to take care of him and help mould him into the kind of man that Dom would love to have as his own son.
Mark is a lost soul. He's been hurt badly in his short sixteen years of life. He's better off with his careless and abusive parents and has had to survive any way he can.
After a bumpy start with Seth and Dom I am so so happy that he's going to join them in their crazy journey.

"If you and Seth ever broke up, I'd be there for you, you know?" Mark said as if they'd known each other for more than a day.
"You're creepy."

I was so relieved when Seth finally started to find his way back to Dom. He's trying to overcome his fears and move forward with the man he loves. I cannot wait to see the next step of their lives takes them.

"I love the steady way you hold me," Seth whispered. "Like you'd catch me whichever way I fall."

*********

"I'd go to the depths of hell with you." Domenico grinned as if they'd just agreed to elope to Hawaii, and he grabbed Seth's wrists, putting them over Seth's head.
"You'd be safe in hell with the devil himself."

I really enjoyed the crossover with the Coffin Nails MC, it was a great way to freshen up this storyline.
I liked how the Club ties in with the Villanis. Dom wants the club to help Dana (yuck, how do we get rid of Dana? lol) get information about their deals. He wants to know what his enemy is doing and Dana being in the doghouse gives Dom a perfect reason to make her infiltrate the Vilannis.
Another part of the story that I cannot wait to hear more about.

This book had a great streak of dark humour. It was tender and sweet, rough and dominating. It was action packed!!
This book was super sexy too. Some of the most incredible m/m sex scenes I have ever read :D

I have read all of these books in quite a short period of time and having to wait until 2016 is going to KILL ME.
Get writing you wonderful authors!! Haha
