Rate this book
Three full length novels of regency romance with a paranormal twist.

The Haunting of a Duke

Communing with spirits has been both gift and curse to Emme Walters. Now it's made her a killer's target. Emme knows why the Dowager Duchess of Briarleigh invited her to a house party--to investigate whether the duke, Rhys Brammel, murdered his wife years ago. But Emme never imagined she would fall in love with the brooding duke.

Branded by society as a possible killer, Rhys is suspicious of Emme and her alleged "gift." Then a late night encounter creates awareness of her other, more attractive, aspects. When Emme's life is threatened, Rhys becomes her protector. Emme and Rhys find passion and peril as they join forces to solve the mysteries at Briarleigh. She made him believe in spirits, but can she make him believe in love?.

The Redemption of a Rogue

Lord Michael Sutherland, Viscount Ellersleigh, is infamous amongst the ton for his powers of seduction and his prowess as a lover. Running from his own ennui and a lover who fancies herself his future wife, Michael retreats to the country and a crumbling, haunted castle won in a game of chance... a castle occupied by an innocent and oh so tempting young woman, Miss Abbigail Barrows.

But country life proves to be anything but quiet. At a debauched house party, Michael finds himself confronted with an unfortunate quandary, marry Abbigail, an innocent, or hang for murder.

Residing at Blagdon Hall, Michael's faced with the dilemmas of seducing his new wife, who seems to be impervious to his charm, and unraveling the mystery of Blagdon Hall's resident ghost and the nefarious goings on at the neighboring estate.

The Enticement of an Earl

Spencer, Lord Wolverston and newly named Earl of Kinraven, intended to find peace in the wilds of Scotland, far from the torment of wanting the one woman he believed he could never have. But his inheritance has come with a price he had not foreseen... a curse that is slowly driving him mad. He sends a desperate plea for help to his friend, the Duke of Briarleigh, but that plea is intercepted by the last person he wishes to see... the Duke's sister-in-law, Miss Larissa Walters, the women he left England to escape.

Larissa has struggled to put her past behind her and to overcome the abuses she suffered at the hands of Lord Moreland to whom her stepfather had owed a gambling debt. Spencer had saved her then, and now, she knows it is time to return the favor. She sets out on her own to show him, and perhaps herself, that she has the courage to face her fears... and to love him as he deserves. But all is not as it would seem at Kinraven. There is darkness there—plotting, lurking, waiting in the shadows to destroy whatever happiness they may find.

Can love truly conquer all, or will the darkness consume them both?

Good Series - Needs Editing!

I read this entire series, and enjoy the stories very much. That said, the entire set of books is in dire need of editing. One of them has pieces of itself dropped in in the middle of several of the chapters which makes it almost impossible to read. There are numerous typos and mistakes. I persevered, but I was irritated and frustrated by the time I got through. Good author, bad editor!

Dark regency romances...

This collection actually covers more than one series. Well written with interesting characters but sometimes poorly proofread. Not extremely so, and not continuously...but often enough to be noticed. Each story is pretty much a standalone, with the first three connected by characters. Worth the read so long as you read lightly and let your brain fill in or ignore the mistakes.

You know you are reading good stuff when you are disappointed to get to the end. This collection is a lot of fun, with ghastly spectres, buxom heroines and brooding men. Chasity Boleyn is a cut above others in this genre. Her heroines are more relatable and there is buckets of thrilling tension. I’m not a fan of supernatural romance but Chasity may have converted me.

‘Haunting of a Duke’ is just brilliant. At present it’s free as a stand-alone so there is no excuse to not dive into this tale of restless ghosts striving to communicate with the clueless living. There is great tension between heroine Emme (who sees dead people) and a duke who may have killed his wife.

‘Redemption of a Rogue’ starts well then meanders into the icky sex lives of the creepiest neighbors ever. There is more fun in ‘Enticement of an Earl’ where a psychic woman goes to rescue her crush. She arrives to find the Earl of Kinraven having delusions. He is surrounded by the household from hell who will make you appreciate your own family. Oppressed heroines, supportive heros and ghostly mysteries. Each book is thoroughly enjoyable and highly recommended.

The more I read from this author, the more I like her style. She knows just how to combine a regency romance with mystery, murder, good guys, bad guys and a bit of the occult or witches or special abilities thrown in.
Each of the three full length books in this boxed set is a stand-alone but the people involved are close friends and/or siblings and they really care for and look after each other. This is really made clear in each story.
I had previously listened to an audiobook of the first story and then just had to read the books themselves and I wasn't disappointed at all but was kept enthralled and entertained and thoroughly enjoyed each one.
I can happily recommend this set (or each of the individual books) as very enjoyable reads.

Unexpectedly brilliant.

I'm not really a ghost and supernatural reader, but I found these stories very engrossing. 6 brilliant characters. Attention given to both make and female parts in equal quarter. It's not often that both main characters are given good backgrounds.
Rhys, Michael and Spencer are given depth emotionally as well as in physical description. I think Michael is my favourite. He has so many facets.
Emme, Larissa and Abby are refreshing in their uniqueness. Emma is my favourite she is strong, pragmatic and vulnerable at the same time.
But what happens to Dorca?

Riddles with typos and editing errors

If you are downloading this combined series through Kindle Unlimited, then it's not bad and worth the read if you're into period romance with some supernatural mixed in. Whatever you do, do not spend money on this set. The books have more typos and mistakes than is even worth reporting. Whole chapters are repeated, passages copied into later parts of the story for no reason. The writing itself and the stories are fine, but the lack of polish is extremely distracting. It reads as if the author herself did not bother to go back and review her own work. Honestly, I would be embarrassed to attach my name to something so poorly done.

Great series of books

This is a very entertaining and interesting set of gothic like historical romances. I love Chasity Bowlin’s heroines and her settings are superbly described. I read an issue of this box set that includes the first 6 books in this series, not 3 as indicated in the blurb. The first 3 books in the set are more closely related that the next three and I found those the most compelling and entertaining. I found the next 3 books more gothic or paranormal and even though I enjoy those aspects I found them a bit more far fetched

Brilliant read

I've thoroughly enjoyed reading these stories. All including some form of black magic, spell weaving etc before the hero rides to rescue his lady. Some quite scary. But we all know good will win out in the end. I can recommend these stories without any hesitation. Enjoy.

Gothic

I’m not usually a fan of gothic tales, but the stories in this collection were a fun mix of suspense, mystery, romance, menace and tangible evil. Great MCs!

The missing star is for the plethora of typos throughout all the books in the collection—they were very distracting.

In desperate need of editing.

The stories were good but in places they were such a disaster as far as the editing went that you feel like your reading a draft. There are also many chapters in a couple stories that are repeated and that was the biggest annoyance.

Loved it

Magic, ghost, witches, and true love times three. Who could ask for more? I have read one of Chasity Bowlin's book before this and look forward to reading more.

The last three books have similar themes. Oppressed heroines, supportive heros and ghostly mysteries. Each book is thoroughly enjoyable and highly recommended.

A fun read. I was really excited to get a set of historicals with the added paranormal elements. There are so few of these. The stories are interesting and the characters aren't boring. They definitely started off slow (maybe a factor of being the first book(s) written?) They would benefit greatly from a good editor, the opening scene was pretty stilted and clinched, I rolled my eyes a few times. I stuck with it though and enjoyed them.
I read the set on the kindle, so I have no idea what the print books look like. The kindle edition badly needs to have someone look over the formatting; repeated sections, chapters and frequent typos are difficult to overlook while reading.

If you enjoy thrilling suspenseful supernatural paranormal activity along with a romance this is for you. The first three books in the series are the best. Three male friends and their gifted wives. Each book builds on the last book. All the characters are brought forth interacting in different ways facing unknown dark entities. The rest of the books are good but not as good as the first three. However, I still recommend this box set.

Reasons I enjoyed this book:
Action-packed
Entertaining
Happily Ever After
Original
Page-turner
Scary
Steamy
Tragic
Unpredictable
Wonderful characters

Romance, intrigue and paranorno

This is a very enjoyable trilogy...filled with intrigue, adventure, Romance and paranormal activities. The characters are well written and the story lines pull you in quickly and keep you guessing who is behind the evil doings. One one criticism is the amount if typos. Too darn many! They are distracting to the reader. Fix them and you get 5 stars.
